How was Carlos still in jail? They had 2 of them in jail for the same crime? Carlos should have been released the second Sonny went in or the second he pled guilty.

Sam's reaction just seemed flat with the Jason wasn't dead when she thought reveal. The Helena/Jason scene was a waste of time since he forgot by the end of it.

So if Fluke's face is real, he's Bill, a twin or had plastic surgery to be Luke.

Johnny looks great!

Holy crap, Sabrina's ass actually got fired.  Sadly, no doubt her friends will blame Dr. O and she's already got a new job lined up at Michael's AJ clinic, but still, nice to see that the pink dust mop didn't get off completely scot-free.

So Patrick finally admits out loud that Robin was blackmailed, forced, and threatened into working for Victor...but only when it comes time to beg for forgiveness from Sam?  Oh Doctor Douchebag, heal thyself!

Brainwashing!  Oh Hells, you always did love the classics, didn't you?

Carlos taunting/bitching out Sonny in prison, and Sonny can't get away. Ha. LOL @ Carlos' maniacal laugh. Sabrina looked really happy to see him.

Britt's WTF look at her mother saying they can start a new life elsewhere with Faison made me laugh.  Yeah, you're totally gonna be a happy family now. *RME* I did like the way Britt said, "Family dinner?!" Haha.

In Nik's place, I'd be really pissed to find out from Liz (and the newspaper, with a headline about Alexis) that Helena is back from the dead...instead of, I don't know, a phone call or visit from his beloved Aunt Alexis.

Sam, Jason was never worth your tears. Also, Patrick being in tears and asking for forgiveness (re:Sam) just irritates me.

Johnny Z looks fantastic!!

So now Faison is toying with Anna by acting as if she is now beneath him and no longer "deserves" his love or affection. The man is truly as wicked as they come, as cruel and heartless, but Anders just elevates him and it's just incredible to watch.

And Finola yet again went toe to toe with him, letting Anna seem so vulnerable and terrified as she was strong and defiant. He is getting to her, Faison yet again is mentally and emotionally attacking Anna and she's getting hit hard.

Brilliant work from them both, beyond brilliant.

Patrick really had the audacity to ask for forgiveness five seconds in to Sam knowing the truth because that's all he cares about, if he gets a hand wave and a pass. He needed to be reassured that she wasn't going to kick him out of her life before he got her into his bed. What an upstanding man he is. Good god she should have kneed him in the groin. Just when I think that Patrick can't sink any lower than scum he finds a way to scuttle deeper.

So it was Carlos first there to taunt Sonny, well at least he is out. But really? He just had to hightail it to Sabrina's side. Did not miss her, did not miss her at all.

I guess Johnny's hair is prison proof.

Seriously.  And as is, Liz buried the lead.  The news about Helena should have been the first words out of her mouth when she found Nik on her doorstep.

The more Ron reveals of this supposed master plan with Jake/Jason the more unimpressed I am. I mean it's nothing new, it's nothing original, and for it to even have a chance at working out everyone involved has to be dumb as a box of rocks.

Helena keeps bouncing back like a cockroach after the Zombie Apocalypses for no good reason and it's so tiresome at this point, imo, especially when nothing changes.

Frankly Helena probably wouldn't even be bothered with Jason, at least to this extent. She has more than enough money and power to do plenty of damage in PC with just her usual goons.

The contrived stupidity is never ending.

Wait - did some guy (probably Jake, because of course) walk in to the police station in a mask and makeup and no one thought "Hm, that seems weird, maybe I should ask what he's up to"?  I know most of those cops are incompetent, but I'd think even they would realize something was up.

I have always loved and will always love Johnny, but him apologizing to Sonny for anything may make that difficult.  I'm just hoping he follows up "I'm sorry" with "but I'm going to make your life absolutely miserable and your son will never speak to you again because you truly are a terrible terrible person."

I ask again: what is Helena's goal here?  Fake Luke's?  Faison's?  Maybe there's going to be a brilliant reveal and I'll have to eat my words, but I'm not getting my hopes up.  I cannot figure out what common goal all of these people would have.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty good Friday episode. But …

… I kept wondering why Patrick didn't explain to Sam that he didn't know that Robin (and therefore Jason) was at CC until the day he and Sam went there, and that was when Robin told him that Jason was dead. I'm sure it wouldn't have mitigated Sam's reaction (other than to let her know that she still wouldn't have been able to do anything when she was there with Silas), but it would have been nice to know that someone was actually paying attention to continuity.

… it also seemed that Carlos picked up just a little bit of a Southern accent in prison.

The Legion of Doom keeps growing, almost cartoonishly. I found myself thinking about Hydra today. I guess Helena is the Whitehall?

Oh come on Patrick! Get some guts. Tell Sam you didn't think Jason deserved a second chance. KMo did a good job but I just cannot stand when she/the show waxes rhapsodic and gets all teary about the hitman.

Speaking of, I get all sad that Burton isn't here to play Helena's brainwashed minion. He would have hated every moment!

That tuft of hair upfront on Billy Miller's head reminds me of Richie Rich or Dennis the Menace or something. Please give that tuft a trim.

I don't like Helena anymore. Go away ya old wench.

If Nikolas doesn't want Liz to gloat maybe he should not go over to Liz's house and complain? JUST A THOUGHT NIK BOY. Tiny Snot is making me hate Nikolas actually. I have no particular love of Britt but his ueber douchey "why are you crying" yesterday just made me want to punch him in the face. Your son sucks! If only he HAD actually fallen into a well!

Blah blah with Carlos. Waste of time until we got to Joooooooooohnny. And they so should have let Sonny and Carlos scenery chew it up in Spanish. Maybe Frank didn't want to pay the 50 cents for subtitles, but whiny melodrama has no language barriers! We didn't need 'em! And prison looks comfy. Why didn't Sonny want to be there again? The prison yard is bigger and brighter than any room in his mansion.

I don't know if Anna getting all teary was the right choice, but Finola was great, as usual.

Shut up, Geary! Shut up! And I say Geary and not Fluke or Luke because I could just hear how freaking awesome he thought he was with his accent. (Okay, fine, maybe Tony Geary didn't really think he was amazing in those scenes. But I SUPER BET you he did!)

I think the point is, even before he knew the actual location where Jason was, Patrick knew that Jason was alive and didn't tell Sam.

I hate Jason and hate that he is alive but Kelly Monaco  was very good today. No matter what I feel about Jason, Sam loved him so I felt Sam's pain of the renewed loss. And the feeling of betrayal for someone who she's thought a friend for almost a year now. She now knows she lost a chance to maybe save Jason, if not at least say goodbye before he "died" again.

Sam is so sleeping with Patrick after this. NOT!

It seems the entire police department was trying to escort Faison outdoors. Incompetent is almost too kind a word for the PCPD at this point.

But speaking of Jakson, so Helena has it programmed that if he doesn't complete his mission he'll forget the truth about his real identity, so does that mean we're in for months of Jason almost getting to Sam to tell her the truth abut who he is but he never makes it in time and then the still confused Jake part of this shitty equation continues to get closer to Liz and such because that...that just frightens me and I do not put it past Ron to think it's "The best idea EVER!".

Helena scheming to use Jason Morgan as the ultimate human weapon for her own purposes is something I figured on years ago, and it's a fine enough idea if executed with some restraint and atmosphere. I just wish I didn't have to suffer through what is almost certainly going to be a rehash of Helena, Lucky and the giant plastic dildo she called the "Ice Princess" and used to entrance rugged heterosexual Jacob Young for months on end back in 2001. That shit was goofy enough.

Y'all ever notice that Duke's whole upper half is like a human exclamation point? Food for thought.

Interjections show excitement or emotion. They're generally set apart from a sentence by an exclamation point or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong. So... Duke might be made useful after all.

(Ron will never make me hate Duke. Just the writing for him. Suck it, Ron.)

Umm... I think Faison just gave Anna her own personal brainwashing trigger phrase: "the spell is broken". He said it twice, and there at the end, he's staring at her with tears in his eyes. Then, during the scene where the cops are escorting Faison past Sam, Anna touched him twice. You'd think if she loathed him that much, she wouldn't want to even be that close to him. He's working her over. No way is he done with his obsession.

If I see Patrick cry one more time, I swear. He is the Tammy Faye Bakker of GH.

Wait....so when Jason grabbed Sam (it was indeed Jason, recognized BM's eyes) he knows he is Jason Morgan?  I missed some of the Helena/Jason stuff so I missed that part about forgetting who he is again...

I did enjoy the hell out of Jason today, maybe it has to do with him FINALLY being in a scene without Liz.  And I like that his first thought after Helena told him who he was was to go see his actual WIFE and not the stalker nurse.

I adored KeMo today.  She does hurt/angry really well most of the time.

I blacked out during the Fluke stuff, as usual.    And hello Johnny, welcome back.

If they've somehow brainwashed Anna again like that terrible fucking story from 1991 or whenever I will throw something. Is there any way we cannot demean this character while super awesome Obrecht sings another torch song from the Weimar Republic? I'll wait.

Oh, yay! Another day where the writing contradicts itself.

So, let me get this straight, Patrick now says that Robin was threatened and had to save Jason, but he's all about the divorce and into Sam? He says that he couldn't say anything to Sam because Victor!, but he told Sabrina and Anna. He said he couldn't tell Sam because he didn't want to hurt her, but had no probs telling Robin that Jason was a gangster and should be dead! And screw Danny and Sam! And this is a rootable character? I'm supposed to root for Samtrick? Child, please. Next.

And once again, JT was so underwhelming. This man used to let the tears flow like gravy.

The Sam monologue on Jason and their love made it so obvious this story is about JaSam. Who am I kidding? lol. In Ron's world, it's totally fine for her to be like this today and then when it's revealed Jase is alive, she'll be "torn." KeMo did good today, yo.

I actually liked the Helena/Jason stuff. I love that shit is being revealed, even though he won't remember. And OF COURSE he doesn't remember Robin. The writers don't either, Jase.

Lol @ Hells insulting Robin, but still calling her brilliant. Adorbs. Although she has to stop with the "Scorpio-Drake." It's insulting.

I just can't with Fluke/Luke/ugh.

Sabrina looked pretty. It's time to write her off, though.

I randomly will always love Carlos.

It would depend on how they did it I suppose. If Robert burst through a wall and killed Faison and saved her that way, I could go for it!

I sometimes think I have been brainwashed.  It explains why I am still watching this mess hoping for a better outcome.

Let me pull up a seat to the table.

Just watching Helena alone acting as if Jason is a Cyborg or Robocop or some sort of super soldier even though all Jason ever did was shoot a gun pretty much.

He wasn't trained in combat, he wasn't a former Marine or Navy Seal or something, he could shoot people from close distances, a gun range instructor has more skill.

And then there's Patrick who goes to throw himself the saddest pity party in the world with the tiniest violin because Sam is pissed he's as shitty a friend as he is a husband, and on that note he "still" doesn't think to go to Anna with the information Faison gave him about Robin and Victor.

But I guess that is only to be expected of a man who actually wants to get his wife and the mother of his child home safe and sound, and Patrick just doesn't have time for that, Sam's mad at him and going to keep her panties on for the foreseeable future.

LOL that Michael and the contractor meet on a bench outside Kelly's. Did Michael lose his office at ELQ? (I know it was so Sabrina and Michael could cross paths, but so awkward.)

Hola, Carrrlos! I missed that crazy telenova bastard. Keep taunting Sonny. Keep laughing maniacally in Sonny's face.

God, BB looks good. Rowr.

I'm sure Ron will tie in the poisoned-water story to all the brainwashing going on. That's the kind of stupid crap he loves. It's all about "respecting history."

When she asked if he was going to brainwash her into falling in love with him, he said that he already had. She was thinking of that 1991 mess, but I don't think Faison meant that. Anna's demeanor changed when he started talking mind control. You could tell it made her uneasy. He did something to her. Maybe it doesn't come into play until later, or he uses it to help in his escape.

Right away?  I am confused now.  I guess I need to re watch those scenes.

I was trying to give Patrick the benefit of the doubt, because Sam's distress was right in his face, he had to deal with that first.  But it looks like he does not connect the fact that Robin was being threatened with the fact that she is staying away from her family again.  He's no brain surgeo....Oh wait.  He is.  And I am not even a Scrubs fan.    Maybe everyone in PC is being brainwashed.  The PCPD are brainwashed into thinking it's totally normal for a dude in a ski mask and camo paint to waltz in,  Patrick is brainwashed into being an idiot, and everyone around Fluke take 2 are brainwashed into not asking personal questions that only real Luke would know.  Or even running a DNA test.   What's that saying?  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

I love that theyve built a giant new prison yard set, because it means Sonny is actually going to be in prison for a while. No way Uncle Frank would authorize construction of a large new set unless it was to be used for a while.

To echo what someone else said yesterday, I feel honored to have the privilege to watch Anders and Finola act these scenes.

I guess it s going to take an edict from Bob Iger to get them to finally reveal who Evil Luke really is.

After he completes his jobs, he forgets everything. He doesn't believe he is Jason Morgan. But when she told him that Sam was his wife and Danny was his son- yes, he did run to see Sam. Billy Miller did great in that scene. Former Jason would have been insert anger face, grr, shout, yell, make threat. Billy Miller looked like dare I say a person

And I saw disgust that he was an assasin. But as Helena put it, his job is to do what she says and return. He has a code word. Oddly I'm not sure if it's just listen to Helena or the word wait or Helena says wait. I'm glad Ron didn't go meta and make it Omaha.

For sure. I am still WTF on Franco/Carly.

I just feel like he's changed his mind about them being a pairing, if he planned it at all.  He's come out to say he wasn't planning on them being more than friends but that twitter gave him the idea. I think he threw those fans a bone with the few weeks of flirting.

If he plans on them being a true couple, why would he first he cut back on the flirtation, and miss an opportunity for them to further bond (sex). He is all about plot points so forgoing a Samtrick sex that would impact the reveal is puzzling. If the plan is for them to have some sort of sexual relation.

And that is a lot of the problem with soaps in the world of social media today: Fan service.

I'm not at all saying fans should ever be altogether ignored, but it is the job of the writers to craft a well-written story - whether fans agree with it or not - as long as the viewers can at least get why a character would do something they don't agree with.

But instead, writers write to pander and with no real course of their own to follow them, and now soaps are a mess.

You'd never see the likes of Agnes Nixon or Bill Bell "writing by Twitter [or Facebook]".

Yup. I'm fine with the writers listening to fans or putting x character with x character. But at least have consistent writing for couples and characters. That's all I ask for. For example, for about a decade, Sam has been in love with Jason. When she finds out he's alive, there's no way I'll believe that she'll question who she wants to be with.

First of all, I don't believe for a second that Ron didn't consider that Sam and Patrick might go the road of more than friends. His fucking job is to come up with that shit... and if he didn't consider that pairing then he's even more incompetent than I thought. Which is saying something.

As for fan service... the problem is that he seems to want to have it both ways. You can't be all 'Oh the fans gave me this amazing idea about pairing up Sam and Patrick' and then be all bent out of shape when fans guess who Fluke is and then start muddying the waters and padding the story to stretch it out with a bunch of useless folderol to mask it.

Days of our Lives has a similar situation where Eve and JJ slept together and the audience called it from jump but neither one of the actors knew that's where the story was going and the writers wouldn't tell either one of them that's where it was going until much later. Here's some information soap show-runners: Your audience knows the tropes. Seriously, stop trying to throw wrinkles and wrenches into the works and just write a solid fucking story. For as long as there has been storytelling the audience has been trying to figure out the ending. It happens in mystery stories all the time, it happens in romances, it happens everywhere. Stop trying to outsmart your audience and just write the god damn story!
