As Hope races against the clock to free Liam, watch for The Price is Right model, and ex-NFL player Devin Goda, who will be playing the not-gonna-lie-kinda-hot prison guard escorting our faint-hearted hero. Yeah, prison guard is yummy.

Well, that was fast… Liam and Hope are joyfully reunited, and we presume all charges against the softest Spencer will be dropped just as quickly. After all, he really, most sincerely didn’t want to see Poor Dead Vinny wind up poor and dead. Except he most certainly committed obstruction of justice. 

When Eric makes a stunning and unexpected demand of Carter, will he expect his guilt-ridden COO to stay away from Quinn in return for keeping his job, or will he ask the exec to resign? Now that would be astonishing! How, exactly, would either scenario be "astonishing?"

Will Liam finally be rendered speechless? After all the distrust and condescension, he learns that none other than Thomas is his hero. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful — and highly unlikely — friendship? I can't wait to see Liam's face when he find outs that Thomas saved his bacon. 

Eek! Bill and Justin blow up over the latter’s attempt to pull off a hostile takeover of Spencer Publications. We know this is gonna get ugly, but at the end of it all, will Bill finally have an epiphany about his mistreatment of his right-hand man? It's Bill, so I'm gonna go with "No!"

As Dollar Bill attempts to process Justin’s duplicity and disloyalty, will the legal eagle be able to hang onto his job? More importantly, will he want to?

When Carter tells Quinn about the conditions Eric set forth for him, will it set up a scenario in which the former lovers are forced to sneak around in order to maintain contact? ’Cause that sounds like hot, hot fun! Yes, please, I am desperate for some hot, hot fun!

He’s got nerve, we’ll give him that! Justin approaches Ridge with an offer of an alliance, which we’re assuming will take a fair bit of convincing, given that the conniver just held the designer’s son captive in a cage for days on end. Maybe Justin can distract him by pointing out that Ridge and one of his exes made our list of supercouples that went from hot to… not.

“Quarter” for your thoughts? Carter and Quinn’s mutual lust for one another is palpable, so we’ll assume it’s only a matter of time before they once again give in to passion. Please, please, please! The Queric marriage is over but for the divorce papers so I need some Quarter, dammit!

Things are looking up for Hope at the moment. But can it last? Does it ever?

I dunno, Ridge was able to put a lifetime of rivalry aside to help Thorne get custody of Will when married to Katie. No matter how often he defends Thomas to Brooke, Steffy is the favorite--and he straight up lied to everyone who would listen about Bill raping her. He'd totally overlook this to stick it to him.

Entertainment Tonight has just spoiled that Sheila is showing up for the Sinn wedding, so I think we all know where that is headed. Not sure how they’ll explain Sheila giving birth to Finn in the timeline.

Hey, I'm totally down with this as opposed to having Finn's bio mom being Quinn or Brooke.  I hope it's just a recurring role because there is absolutely no reason to have Sheila back on the canvas full-time. There is no reason to tangle with Quinn. Or Donna or Shauna or whomever Eric chooses next. He has made it perfectly clear that he and Sheila have NO FUTURE.

I don't foresee Finn's parents being on full-time and there isn't any history with them to have them go up against Shelia. Who cares?  If Steffy is going to have a MIL from hell, then why not Li?  

This really makes no sense. (Except to explain where Finn got his dark hair and eyes from!)

I would rather have the casting dollars spent on some new men for Donna, Shauna or Katie. I thought the clear signals for Sinn was going to be problems with Paris. Now, we have a pile-on with Shelia, which I find far more interesting than Pann.  But still ... 

Or ... spend the money to hire a new decent actress to take over the Taylor role.

Exactly. Colleen Zenk would be great. If I were to look outside of soapdom, Nana Visitor would be my first pick, but anyone with even passing familiarity with Trek and her work on Deep Space Nine would know she'd be punching way below her belt class here.

As for Sheila as Finn's mom...I hate it but I hated the other options almost as much. But I guess I'm relieved he's not Shauna's kid bc she doesn't need any more ties to the show.

Of course that means that throwaway line Quinn had about being past her child bearing years means she's pregnant now and that's even worse.

Well, there was that time Sheila absconded with her first baby Mary Warwick, and returned with Mary as 18yo Erica Lovejoy, only 4 years later. Enough time for her to have had Finn and pawn him off on a complicit Jack and unsuspecting Li. This would make Finn the second of her five (!) children, after Mary but before Diana Marone and the Fisher twins, Daisy and Ryder.

I am really not thrilled to see Kimberlin Brown back. I can only assume that Brad Bell (whose wife is an Obama appointee to various offices) must believe that Brown is going to bring back lapsed viewers and is holding his nose in hopes of reviving the show's declining ratings. Why he thinks that, when her last return was a dismal failure, is beyond my comprehension. In her time away, she's only grown worse.

As others have already mentioned, there are plenty of other characters who could've been Finn's mother.

I am trying to curb my excitement........

Having Sheila as a mom will not make Finn a bad guy; it will only make him someone to feel sorry for and to pity. This poor guy doesn't know what he is in for; Sheila is gonna take his bland, vanillaness, and run rough shod right over him. If Steffy calls the wedding off, I can she Sheila in one of her self conversations, telling herself how she "just has to do something."

I admit I am a bit fearful about some type of Eric/Sheila redux now that he is done with Quinn. I also fear some type of triangle with Donna or Shauna, or a quadrangle with all of them. A big NO to that; Eric is way past the point of having that type of situation in his life.

A good way to improve the ratings would be to improve the writing. They have tried stunt casting before and it has never worked.

But I thought Sheila had 5 kids?

1 - Mary/Erica (fathered by James)

2 - Diana (fathered by Massimo)

3 - Daisy (fathered by Terrible Tom Fisher)

4 - Ryder, Daisy's hot twin brother (obviously fathered by TTF)

5 - Finn (fathered by TBD but perhaps Finn's adoptive dad is his biological father as well as I suggested, albeit with Quinn as the biological mom)

I wonder if KB's sporadic appearances tie into how well her avocado farm is doing?  I think she also has an interior design business and she and her husband had some kind of watercraft business. I think they did interior designs for yachts or something or brokered them.

I am sure she keeps plenty busy without needing B&B. 

I have to set politics aside when I think of KB because I do enjoy her as an actress when she has a relevant role and good writing. I thought the last time she was on B&B seemed kind of pointless. 

If this go-around is a bust, then I would vote for retiring the character from both shows, although I don't watch Y&R.

Why don't some of these soap journalists have the cajones to ask Brad Bell in one of his interviews WTH is going on with Taylor's character?

The fact that they bothered to explain her absence this time means they're obviously aware that fans have Questions™ about this. In fact, I think Taylor's only been at one of Steffy's four (going on five) weddings.*

*Which is absurd for a woman who is barely in her 30s, but then I remember Hope had four weddings (but no legal marriage) in ONE SINGLE YEAR and couldn't even legally drink at any of them.

I stopped watching for a long time when the whole Ridge/Bridget thing came about. In my mind Ridge was her father and I still refuse to think about it any other way. In fact, when Ridge told the Finnegans he had 3 grandchildren I immediately thought, “Wait, what about Bridget’s kid?”

I'm probably the only person that actually doesn't hate that Ridge's paternity was changed, but I *am* pissed that all the possible story threads and beats that could have and should have played out were all ignored for INCEST LOLOLOLOL because 90 percent of everyone I know who hated that paternity reveal cites that relationship as the specific reason why.

I mean, look at the long legs that story about Dina's affair had for Ashley. Granted, she found out earlier in life than Ridge did but it still had a transformative effect on her life.

Instead, we got...this :\

EDIT: and Brooke should have lorded that over Stephanie's head for the rest of her life. No matter Brooke's sins, she never did that intentionally.

Those preview pics of Steffy's perfect drama free world crumbling are great. Finally some non-Liam drama (although peep Lope in the background of one of those shots, LOL)

Sheila as Finn's mother was guessed so long ago if feels anti-climatic.  And the real bang of this reveal is missing the key character of Taylor who lost many years of her life with her kids due to Sheila (and Omar the Sheik). I'd have honestly preferred Finn to be Omar's son with another woman that Taylor raised during her missing years so that he sees Taylor as his mother, too!

In any case this is Stuffy drama that doesn't have Liam's fingerprints on so I'm good to see where this goes.

Agreed. Do I think it'll ultimately amount to much? No, especially without Taylor in the mix. But no ToD, so....

I have to wonder why the show hasn't pulled the trigger on Thope yet. Not that I'm complaining at all because it's terrible but I wonder what the redemption was for if not to set them up.

Long Twitter discussion that spoils for next week that Finn decides to keep texting with Sheila and keeps it from Steffy, confides in Paris who tells him about her shady father which they bond over, and Paris is now Finn's best buddy and they're gonna figure out how they can make Sheila and Steffy besties so that Finn can have his wife and nuMommy.

I find it hilarious Finn dissed Liam for not putting Steffy as his #1 priority and now he's doing the exact same thing -but it's due to his bio mom so it's 'different'.

Sir, your bio mom shot Steffy's grandmother, mother, and shoved her father down an incinerator AND threatened to kill her brother when she was a baby. How can you be so dense as to believe Steffy would ever allow this woman to be a part of her life?

At the rate this show is going, Sheila will try to kill Steffy and maim/kill Finn by Thanksgiving. Wouldn't be surprised if she's separated/a widow by New Year's.

The thing is...Sheila doesn't have to kill Steffy, but if she began drugging her/made people -especially Finn- think she's fallen back into addiction again to drive a wedge between them and somehow got Steffy stuck in rehab (maybe make it look like Hayes almost was hurt - or shoot, sacrifice Kelly to make her look bad) we're now getting to the evil that Sheila can and is capable of.

In what sounds like the equivalent of ending an engagement with the return of the ring, Carter informs Brooke and Ridge that he’s given Eric back his portrait of Quinn. But he’s still holding on to those memories, dang it!

Fans are gonna have another field day with this — especially after what they’ve already been calling Finn. The doc is enraged, and blindsided, by Jack’s proposal regarding Sheila.

When Ridge and Brooke express outrage about Quinn, Eric claps back. Please, please, please let him remind them of the time they carried on behind his back during his own marriage to Brooke.

Kaboom! Steffy puts Finn on blast for betraying her trust — and only what, days after he promised to love, honor and cherish her? What part of, “Honey, your mother has tried to murder half my family at one time or another!” does he not understand?

Short of undergoing enough plastic surgery to turn herself into someone altogether different — which she’s been known to do — we can’t imagine how Sheila thinks she’s going to be able to maneuver her way out of her current mess with Steffy. But she does indeed think she’s going to, and takes steps to make it happen. Wonder if she’ll be falling back on her old playbook.
