Holy shit! She looks terrible.  Did she make a visit to Hunter Tylo's plastic surgeon or something? Whatever she's wearing on her head isn't helping. Sorry but buh-geez, what a shock. I haven't seen Lauren in a very long time because I don't watch Y&R but I always thought that actress was very attractive. Not approaching Quinn territory, but it was nice to see a petite redhead for a change.

You think that's bad, you should've been watching four years ago when TPTB trained an Irish Setter to sit on her head and pass himself off for her hair.

;)

Yeah, I have no close what they've done to her. :(

This is too damn much. Quinn has held a knife to Liam's throat, kidnapped, withheld medical treatment from him, and sexually assaulted him and he refrained from sending her ass to jail in large part because Wyatt begged and bullied him and in no small part because he was embarrassed that he was a victim and wanted to move past being a victim.

Liam doesn't have to say one damn nice word about Quinn or admit anything good about her. Not one.

Ugh, this show.

  • Love 7

I'm as sick of Liam as anyone else, but I agree that he shouldn't have to be forced to make nice to Quinn. He doesn't need to kiss her ass to be supportive of Steffy running *her* family company. He can just not whine every single day, but that doesn't require finding anything nice to say about Quinnsane to do that.

You know who put up with a manipulative CEO driving a wedge in her relationship? Taylor did. She was far from a saint herself, but I do remember she and Ridge having conversations that didn't involve Brooke on occasion. Taylor read Brooke for filth on occasions that were called for (like the infamous elevator scene or the post Thorne steam room seductions), but that was it. She never trusted Brooke, but she always trusted Ridge. God knows why, but that's besides the point.

Exactly.  Liam has no reason to like her, but he's being so dismissive of Steffy's career by repeatedly insisting that she's only succeeding because Quinn's manipulating her.  Add in his barging in to her place of work every fucking day to remind her that he doesn't think she'd have her job if it wasn't for evil Quinn's manipulating her, and I don't know how Steffy hasn't dumped him yet.  (That's part of why I think she was actually pretty cool with Eric's saying she needed to move out of Liam's house.  She was subjected to 24/7 of that shit.)

Possible return of Sally Spectra?

If Spectra is coming back I may start watching again.  Please let it be a real heir of Spectra coming back and not a ruse by Thomas,  Rick/Maya or Quinn. Or have it be a ruse initially and then CJ comes back to squash the imposters and actually start Spectra back up.

CJ should be old enough to have a teen daughter or son of his own...someone for RJ to sniff around.

It makes sense to drop Sasha and Caroline if their money is going to pay for actors to bulk up Spectra. But the irony is that Sasha as a model and Caroline as a designer would be perfect fits at Spectra.

At the very least it gets us away from stagnant love triangles and gives the Forresters something to rival with other than Spencer.

1. Starting to think the writers are giving Liam and Steffy their due to write them a legitimately over without Captive Cabin being their excuse to hang on. He's driving her away and she's seeing how he's actually not a good fit for her as a longterm partner and that Wyatt is.  Now either Liam will crack and start gunning for Quinn in a deadly way and go the way of ALy or he'll let the whole mess go to be spun off into a new storyline and love (probably Katie but hopefully a brand spanking new love interest).

2. Can't believe Ridge is this dumb. Liam's magic peen hasn't nothing on Quinn's magic boobs and cooter to turn men who hate her into falling for her.  Then again Brooke's magic turned Bill.

Which, by the way, Bill shows where Wyatt and Liam get their thirstiness from. Bill let the waffling woman go!

B) I would respect the hell out of Liam if he actually left town even if it's a melodramatic move.  But unless this is another situation of them keeping his exit a secret, he damn well ain't going to go anywhere.

C) Steffy, piss on Liam or Wyatt or get off the pot.

She already pissed on Liam. Wyatt wants some too cuz he's thirsty like that

Why do I have the feeling this plane Eggo hops on is headed straight for Paris( and probably in a beeline for Hope's bed as soon as he lands)?

I agree that if he actual does leave that it'll be the first proactive thing he's done since this whole mess started last year. I doubt he's leaving, but then again, the B&B crew managed to keep a lid on Maya and Aly, so who knows.

  • Love 2

Yep, it would be the first proactive thing Liam has done in forever. He's so boring, whiny and unemployed, who would have the slightest interest in him? He was actually hyperventilating today (in the USA) and Steffy asks "Where is this coming from?".  Blink, blink, blink, look away. The same place it's been coming from for the past 6 months, doofus. Steffy, take an acting lesson from RS. Please!

WTH not? Wyatt is in love with Steffy. She's the only one for him. No one else on earth is more important! ::eyeroll::

Run to Hope, Liam. Run to her, bed her, and come back with her with rings on both your fingers. Steffy and Wyatt would choke.

I'd rather Liam bump into the departing Sasha on his flight and they happen to sit together. They bitch to each other during the flight about how L.A. sucks. They start vibing. Instead of going to Spencer Publishing International or wherever he gets off in Chicago or NY or wherever she was going and they spend a weekend hanging out with her showing him there are better women than Steffy and him showing her there are other men in the world than Zende. Liam realizes he was being a dip leaving his home over Steffy, Sasha decides she's not getting run out of town by the Avants and both return to L.A. ready to start over - with each other. (Hey, she's recurring, not completely gone, right?!) #DesperateTeamLashaFan.

Steffy then tries to make Sasha's Forrester model life hell with Sasha gaining a new adversary but has defenders in Ridge and Thomas. Liam firmly attempts to move on from Steffy to the point he's even backed off fighting Wyatt, would leaves Wyatt gaping like a fish in confusion like usual. He starts overthinking things, believing that Liam is playing games/hard to get and using Sasha and can't enjoy his life with Steffy because she too is pissed Liam moved on and a 'DGaF about Wyatt' Liam is something Wyatt can't abide.

Gotta laugh that Liam didn't try to use the Spencer jet to run away from home. Guess Bill still has it in Italy while he's stalking Brooke.

  • Love 4

Tobin, I'd like that scenario as well. The only point that I've found Waffles tolerable was when he and Ivy were together. He wasn't on screen everyday and by all accounts, he seemed actually committed to her, shutting Steffy down when she blew into town that one time.

Hell, I'd say even a FWB arrangement would be to both characters' benefit. Have some fun. And then after Steffy gets increasing insecure as Wyatt and Ivy work on the jewelry line or Zende gets fed up with Nicole's princess BS, they start gravitating to Liam or Sasha respectively and realize that there's no *there* there anymore.

  • Love 2

The only reason why I'm done with Ivy for Liam is because she allied with Quinn and stayed allied even after she learned what Quinn did to him. And sure as hell wouldn't be party to a plan to continue to meddle/manipulate her way into his life with the woman who has repeatedly victimized him. If she wants Wyatt, she can have him.

Liam needs a fresh start, fresh woman with no Quinn or Wyatt baggage.  If it ain't Sasha, bring on someone for him. A Taylor Townsend/Autumn Reeser from The OC type would be perfect for him in terms of comedic timing, sass, and not having a stick up her butt like Hope.

February Sweeps Info:

Ridge/Brooke/Quinn/Eric/Katie
Ridge and Quinn continue to bond over their time in San Francisco, while trying to keep it a secret from others. Brooke notices there is something different between her fiance and his adversary. She notices the looks between them and opts to listen to a very private conversation between. Will things change? It's very possible. Katie also confesses a secret to Brooke about her relationship with Eric.

Bill
Bill finds himself waiting in the wings for Brooke and certain that Ridge will break Brooke's heart and he'll be there to pick up the pieces. Brooke doesn't want to believe Bill but is touched by his words.

Rick/Thomas
Rick and Thomas are both furious about the CEO position going to Ridge. In February, there's a major opportunity for Thomas to seek revenge.

Steffy/Liam/Ivy
Ivy suggests to Liam that he and Steffy get married in Australia.

Wedding Bells:
At Maya's suggestion, Nicole gives Zende another chance. A surprise proposal of marriage is made and on Valentine's Day, the Logans, Avants and Forresters gather for the wedding of the decade.

http://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/11016877/1/

Same crap different week/month/year. The only cool this is that the show is actually going to be shooting in Australia.

ETA: Nicole and Zende are the wedding of the decade? No freakin' way.

And I wonder if during his trip to Australia for his wedding and he's remembering what happened on his last trip that Liam finally remembers that Steffy was in bed with Wyatt upon his return and actually dumps her. Meanwhile Ridge and Quinn will probably canoodle and either Bill, Eric or Brooke will buy a clue.

ಠ_ಠ

I can't even register any words right now. Seriously?! My God, if there was any couple that is anywhere near being the clusterfuck that is Steffy/Waffle, it's the anthropomorphic Ambien pill that are these two numbskulls.id rather watch Liam foam at the mouth Old Yeller style than sit through any scene they're in.

Will Kristen and Tony show up, at least?

?

I'm not sure how I'd feel about that. Not that I'd cry any crocodile tears behind Steffy getting her face cracked, but after all his sore winner behavior and the fact that it's Liam, it would feel like an empty victory for him to ditch her at this point.

Like I wrote in the survey a while back, I couldn't care less which couple ends up together anymore. But I would like for them to at least last longer than the length of an SNL sketch before moving on to the next bout of idiocy. In the last ten years, excuding the original Triangle of Doom and Nick/Bridget who were always so off-and-on, I can only remember Katie and Bill and Eric and Donna lasting longer than three years together.

  • Love 2

How the fuck is a Zende/Nicole wedding "the wedding of the decade"??  The hell? Whoever wrote that blurb should be immediately fired and publicly shamed.

And what is Katie going to confess to Brooke about her "relationship" with Eric?  That she's a nosy-ass bitch who can't keep her eyes on her own paper and can't be without a man?  Everyone knows that already, Katie.  Everyone knows.

My ability to successfully predict how the stories on this show will go have been negative infinity but if I had to hazard a guess, it makes sense that they have Liam go through all of this only for him to show his ass by dumping Steffy that makes him look like a jerk, her the victim, and Wyatt being right all along. Wyatt's been written up as the better, more mellow choice while Liam's been written as controlling, narrow sighted, etc. I think Wyatt is going to be the winner in this with Liam looking like the dip. That's not to say Ivy still won't lower herself to throw herself at him in the aftermath, but I think Wyatt and Steffy are going to get their legit chance and Liam will have burned any cred he had with Steffy to ever say anything about her life once she's with Wyatt. The next issue for Wyatt and Steffy will be babies.

Both Wyatt and Liam are always gloating in victory and pissy and obnoxious in defeat. Its the Spencer in them.

Bill is who disappoints me the most. For a man who preaches my way or the highway, he sure as hell is hanging after Brooke like a wimp. He should've followed Jasper Jax's example. He told Brenda that she could wallow in the past or come with him to the future. He got on his damn plane and was ready to leave when she came to him. And later he even dumped her ass at the alter when he heard about her one last kiss with Sonny -which was cold as hell but understandable; less understandable was dumping Brenda because of Sonny and then marrying Carly freakin' Corrinthos who was a million times worse in her Sonny obsession. But I digress.

Bill should be leaving Brooke to her own devices and with a new chick. Hell, why not Ivy? Gasp! Maybe we'll get that when Bill goes to Australia! ::fingers crossed::

Great minds think alike--I'd been wondering this same thing lately. Because why not? Gawd, those would be the most beautiful babies!

  • Love 1

Excuse me. Did I miss something? What "relationship" does Katie have with Eric? They're neighbors.  Alright, ex-in-laws, if you have to try to stretch to something with more emotional substance. Sheesh.

Wedding of the decade? OGMAFB.  I can't think of anything more yawn-inducing.  I hate soap weddings anyway just because the actual vows exchanges makes for such a drawn-out boring affair.  Eric will show up at the last-minute with the on-call FC gray garment bag of today's bride/tomorrow's divorcee' (literally.)  Maya will be matron of honor, yawn. I'm sure Rick will stand up for Zzzzzende. The wedding will be in Eric's living room (again.) Pam and Charlie will be futzing around like a couple of rabid clows foisting lemon bars onto all the guests.

In the old days of B&B, Sasha would show up at the last minute and announce she's pregnant (with verified lab test in hand) and put an end to the wedding, but that can't happen if FC is gone. Well, I guess the only bright side is we'll get to see the Avant parents.

I'd be on board for Ivilly. Why not? The ideal outcome would be for Liam to regain his memory right before he marries Steffy and dump her.  Seeing Ivy with $Bill would be icing. Meanwhile, Wyatt has paired off with Lemonheads and Liam and Steffy are all alone.

  • Love 4

Okay, the name Darlita is a weeeeeeeee bit on the frigging nose, but I'm excited as hell for this new injection of life into the show. If they killed Tasha so Thomas is free to do Thorne/Macy 2.0, then I may own Brad Bell an apology (although I wish Sasha could be their new model, but hey. Anything to break up the current fuckery of the last year is welcomed).

Edited by Anna Yolei
  • Love 4

Oh, and also kudos once again to the PR at B&B for keeping a lid on this till the last minute. I dunno who is in charge but he or she needs a raise for all the stories they manage to keep hush-hush on.

Still mad that Aly was killed off and she won't be involved with this. She could've been Sally 2.0's assistant or had some other role in the company that her mother and father (sometimes) worked for. Since Macy died with no children and CJ hasn't produced a C3, she would have been the obvious heir apparent. I really feel more salty about this wasted potential than I do about Hope's story being ignored and even about the way Brooke and Thorne broke up.

Oh, well.

  • Love 5

The revival of the Spectras may just bring me back to the show. The lack of a competitor has turned every fashion story into a game of musical chairs with the CEO's seat. Agree they could've been a bit more creative with the names - Darlita being the most egregious, but Sally and Saul too. Especially with the new branch of Spectras being presumably estranged from Sally Sr since she never mentioned them and they never attended any family functions, why would Sally Jr be named after her great-aunt?

Without meaning to stereotype, could Saul Jr (they should've just gone with the name Paul or Jonathan) be gay? That would mean we finally get a gay employee in a fashion house -  gasp! What are the chances?

In yet another of the many nods to fandom concerns written as dialogue into the show lately, Eric points out in today's show that a lot of FC's recent success is due to the lack of a good competitor--no where else for the entitlement babies to go piss off to or sell designs to, not since Jackie M left off about.....oh, six years ago now? That void is the biggest reason we were subjected to the ToD 2.0 all but engulfing the show landscape from 2011 until JMW left briefly in 2013.

Don't see that happening. CBS filled that quota with Maya (trans black female)

  • Love 2

...okay, I'm really not sure what to think about this.

B&B's track record with introducing/revamping families is scattershot at best; the Spencers and Avants are definitely current examples of the best and worst aspects of this.  That said, this--albeit not immediately--could be the shot in the arm the show needs for one reason: the Forresters need a rival, and always have.  In the time I've been watching, it was either Spectra Fashions or Jackie M (and, for that one glorious winter where Bill owned FC, him).  And, by extension: how badly does this hose the Avants?

That said...I love me some Patrika Darbo, so for her alone I'm willing to give them a chance to flesh this out.  If nothing else, she'll give Gandalf something to do that doesn't involve lemon bars and the explanation of this heretofore unseen branch of the Spectra family tree should be interesting for a minute or two.

As previously said, however: they really, really should have branched out more with the names.  Sally II being a grandniece of the original Sally by itself is odd, but not impossible--Sally II's mom must have really loved her larger-than-life aunt--but another Saul and another Darla?  (Albeit a cute Latina Darla, who hopefully won't get Gabriela-ed.)  If that's Bill Bell trying to be clever, he whiffed the pitch.

  • Love 1

Yeah pretty much my thoughts too. One recycled name is fine, but three? Really, how hard would it be to give names which are nods to the original characters? Jonathan (like the biblical King Saul's son) would've been a good choice for Saul Sr's grandson. And Darla - surely there is a Spanish equivalent which is not Darlita.

I hope we will see Clarke Sr as part of the story. A cameo like his son CJ's would suffice if the actor isn't up for a full-time gig.

  • Love 2

Let's not be too hard on Bell for that...after all, the story doesn't involve triangles, inheritance fights and anthropomorphic waffles so I can forgive that it wasn't entirely perfect. ?

As I said either in this thread or in the main one, I don't think Bell had any plans for the Avants besides being a plot point to Maya's coming out story. Seeing as the only other adults in that age range are Brooke, Eric, Ridge and Quinn, I'm not sure how they would have fit in. I'd much rather have the Spectra revival, even with if that means losing the talented actors playing the parents.

The Spencer revival fared better, but even that was a stretch given all the canon that was shot out the window to facilitate that (i.e., Bill being the product of an affair despite Bill Sr loathing his father or that, Karen was raised by him). The best one really was the Marone one, seeing as they had strong actors anchoring all the parts and Nick was the biggest rival for Brooke's attention that only Bill has come close to touching.

Even apart from not being FC/triangle of doom rubbish, I'm genuinely excited about the. Guess we'll see.

  • Love 2

I hope so.  Nicole might not have been so disappointing if she hadn't started out with such promise.  (As a woman working in a STEM field, I get so excited when a female character is technically inclined. And then to watch her scheme to be a model?  Sigh...)

BTW, all my kids are grown and married so I'm not current in those things but are wedding gowns like hers making a comeback?

This cast can be too adorable. It's nice they seem like such a tight crew.

Couldn't agree more. Nicole easily could've been connected to the fashion side of things via publishing and developing innovative digital programs and blogs and apps at Spencer (in partnership with Liam) or for Forrester or heck over at Spectra.  It would've been an avenue of story for young millennials of the intersection of tech and fashion.

Instead they made her a virginal babymaker.
