loveigniting January 9, 2015 Share January 9, 2015 (edited) I have hated Lucky/Liz since he fetishized her rape - super triggery moment, that one, so I probably can't be objective about it. I think these two have become toxic for each other and it's not even a fun type of toxic. Only thing that interested me about Johnny was his chemistry with Claudia and once she died, I stopped being interested in him. So, I'm not interested in his return. I'm typically more invested in villains and anti heroes in media especially when written properly, but this show has such a glut of them that subconsciously I'm usually rooting for everyone else. As long as there's remorse for their offenses and they're decent people, I'm usually there. I like to think of it as defiance against Ron's fascination with villains and anti-heroes. I don't like Julian/Alexis and I wish they would keep Alexis away from all these criminal types. And, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I like Silas. I don't know how I got here. Chairperson Meow January 9, 2015 Share January 9, 2015 I'm at the point where so much strange crap has been done to save characters I don't care about that I think I might believe almost anything to save characters I like or hell ones I hate. Once they introduced the masks, it was like cool and funny the first time. But when it kept going, the shark jumped so damn high it reached the moon and sun. So now, I believe anything can happen, but I'm not shocked. When normal things happen I get shocked. 3 Link to comment

tvgoddess January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 While I am certainly no fan of the kiddie quad, I have no problem with seeing Joss on my screen. I think Hannah Nordberg is a real scene-stealer, and although she excels at the comedic and sarcastic, I think she's equally done well with the little bit of "dramatic" or serious stuff - empathizing with Spencer over his not having a mother, or the hug she gave to Carly before the Hallowedding. I just really enjoy the actress. 7 Link to comment
dubbel zout January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 (edited) I think the current Joss is the female equivalent to Spencer, but for whatever reason, Ron has decided to use Spencer as his main child mouthpiece. My tolerance for smart-ass children on TV is really low, so the only reason I find Joss more tolerable is we see her much less frequently than we do Spencer. (Though I do think Hannah Nordberg is a better actor than Nicolas Bechtel.) Edited January 10, 2015 by dubbel zout 2 Link to comment
Ambrosefolly January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 (edited) Kristen Alderson's firing has me worried for several reasons. For Ava fans, there is more of a chance she will be let go, ditto Silas. Another, they might bring on, waste and ruin Serena by attaching her to Michael and Morgan. I would rather those two fight over Rosalie. If I am being honest, I rather the Scott and Lucy exit the canvas if they aren't being used, properly. I would include Kevin in that, but he is pretty much gone. My other opinion, while KA didn't grow into being a good actor, but RC writing of the character didn't do her any favors. Kiki knew way too many secrets that she shouldn't have known (and had no reason to keep) but the one secret she should have known the entire time (Ava killing Connie, framing AJ) she found out at the last minute. eta: the basic fear in my post remains the same. One thing I'm worried about if they bring serena on there going to recton her childhood.DEspite Lucy and scotts flaws they did nothing but fawn over that kid and fight for her.I hated when they recton Robins childhood where Robert never wanted to be a father ect. 1 Link to comment
Chairperson Meow January 10, 2015 Share January 10, 2015 I'll be honest. KA was good at one point. She had chemistry with actors she was not paired with. Or actors who were older than her. She really was great with BB. I'd love a Kiki/Johnny scene before she deuces out because they were awesome in scenes. Hell, be meta. I don't care. But here's where I think things went wrong. Not every actress is meant to play the girl next door, omg Mary Sue. Finola Hughes, Maura West, Kassie DePaiva come to mind as women whom are amazing, but aren't meant for that type. Is KA at their level? No. But my point is she should have been allowed to grow as she was meant to as an actress. I'm not speaking of KA's looks, but where she truly excelled. And she truly excelled when Starr was not the Mary Sue character prototype. Could Kiki have been something different? Maybe. But add in the singing and etc and yeah. It became a disaster. She did grow a bit under working with ME and MW. She toned down the faces and expressed emotions better. Do I want her staying on the show? No. But I think it's unfair that she got boxed into a category at a young age. 1 Link to comment

It is weird I can now lump RC in with Guza, both have their strengths but they let their weaknesses overtake them. I fear it to. I think even if she is a bit of a bitch, she should be a fairly well adjusted person. I have some hope because she did call out Lucy for cheating on Kevin, and that is fairly consistent with Port Charles because Kevin was extremely good to her and Karen. I think Scott is a far superior parent to Luke, but no one is allowed to out shine the Spencers. I am taking the rest of Baldwin hopes to the wishlist. Link to comment

Lillybee February 5, 2015 Share February 5, 2015 I thought they admitted that Sonny ran guns, although that was something else that was never made explicit on the show. It was always "the shipment." Silas is one of the few male characters on this soap who isn't a.) a murderer, b.) a selfish asshole, c.)a narcissistic douchebag, or d.) some combination of the above. He's basically a good guy.
