Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

When I think over the years of the people I know who have tried to make a business out of an MLM, not a single one has been successful. It would cost less money and take far, far less time just to buy lottery tickets regularly. The odds of success with either venture are probably pretty close--close to zero.

I always tried to dodge invitations to home sales parties; however, I still have some Tupperware I bought thirty years ago.

The only way to make money in an MLM is to either start one or be one of the very first ones in.   Because eventually you just run out of suckers.

Yup. I have a friend who got in early on LuLaRoe and made enough to build a new home. She was also smart enough to get out when the market became over saturated in our area. Getting into the top tiers is easier than staying there, and that says a lot because getting there is near impossible.

Well for that you have to listen to Dave tell about how when god called them to full time ministry he realized they would need many different "income streams".

The ones we know

The Christian Ministry Clearing House which gives them money for being in ministry full time.

They have quite a few churches that support them directly as Missionaries

They ask for direct donations on their blog.

Love offerings and direct requests for donations at grift stops.

Gift cards given to the family.

The Printing Ministry

Jill's Retreat for Ladies certainly has profit for Jill built in.

They set up a table at every grift stop and the ladies retreat to sell their CDs, books, magazine, Renee's earrings etc

Dave has been seen driving the Amish around Wooster.

They have grifted a van with trailer, 2 or 3 cars, a tow package, several musical instruments, done a few gofundmes. Got a lot of Covid stimulus money and used it for the addition on the barndo.

any small amount Jill might make from plexus is a teeny tiny part of the income stream

Did I leave anything out?

They grifted the house they lived in in West Va. before moving to Ohio.  Jill posted about them virtually living in their RV and how they were needing a large home and hoped and prayed that some like-minded Christian would come to their rescue.  An older fundie lady then donated a house to them.  They later sold the house to get together the money to put a down payment on the barndo,

They lived in the RV for an entire year.

But Jill you went to LV anyways. You could have stayed home. She is lying, she loved going!

She hasn’t said one unkind word about the place so far, Nothing about alcohol, dancing, gambling, immodestly dressed people, etc.  I think she loved the place.

Oh no!  Did she wear the fake braid in Vegas?

Yikes, Kaylee has Renee's grimace in that picture.

She’s back to the rictus grin. Funny how she doesn’t seem to do that with Jonathan or at home. Just with Jill and family.

Hopefully someone (not so gently) called Jill out on her self-righteous, judgmental bullshit, seeing as many of her Plexus cohorts drink, gamble and wear weather appropriate clothing.

Of course there's always the fact that Jill chose to go to Vegas. The conventions are voluntary. This trip isn't something she won, its something she paid to go to.

And anyways, she sang about God in the lobby, so she's good because that obviously wipes all the sin away.

Is the "small portion of [Jill's] Plexus team" who came to Vegas one woman? She doesn't look familiar from Jill's Zoom meetings, but I suppose not everyone sits through those.

Most conferences I've attended give attendees tote bags and a t-shirts among other swag. Is Jill implying she bought a t-shirt "blouse" for the woman? The earrings look like Renee's stuff.

What the eff does she have against saying t-shirt? If you're wearing them, you should be able to call them by their real name. If you think they are not feminine enough, don't wear them.

I'm sure Jill has a lot of bad things to say about LV, but she's keeping her mouth shut because of Plexus. Blasting your company for hosting an event in sin city is not a good look. She might say some thing in a few days. And of course, she's a complete hyprocrite for going and enjoying it.

Well, if she calls it a blouse, she can fool God into not damning her for "wearing clothing that doth not pertaineth to her sex" or whatever.  Always thinking, our JillPM!

That's Jill's upline, Betsy Foster, who she calls her sister-in-law. She's really the sister-in-law of Jill's sister Amy.

Wouldn't Jill be part of Betsy's team rather than vice versa? Are they all Sparkling Jewels of Faith or just Jill and her downline?

Maybe Plexus really is one big, happy family of pink drinkers, all trying to claw their way to the top of the pay pyramid.

I think she'll wait until she runs out of ideas to make herself feel superior by shaming other people. She probably kept notes about what she saw in Vegas.

I really wonder why they went. To stand on benches? They don't seem to have done anything interesting. I"m not saying gambling but there are some interesting things in the area.

There's a lot of fun stuff to do in Vegas even if your not into gambling, drinking and other "sinful" stuff. My family used to go every year and we did a lot of fun stuff when taking a break from gambling and drinking.

This was a Boss-Babe trip and because Jill has no interests outside of herself they did nothing else. If David had went I'm sure they would have hit up some wholesome or semi-wholesome sights.

Betsy looks very similar to my ex friend lol. I took a double take.

Blouses? Thanks for a laugh Jill.

Overall Jill disappointed me with her outfits. Only the gold mini cape was hilarious, she didn’t re wear the hideous silver dress…

Everything else clothes wise was same old Jill.

I still don’t get why Gideon went. Kaylee is as dumb as her husband. She certainly is sucking up to Mahmo and failing. K girl you will never beat Nurie! Nurie is the favorite forever.

I totally see K naming a daughter Jill or Jillnessa.

Not if Nurie gets Jill as a middle name first. And she will.

Yes technically Jill is a part of Betsy's team, not the other way around, but we know Jill thinks she is the sun and everyone orbits her, lol.
