What’s wrong with the Rodlings neck? Is it broken? And poor girl is super trim 😢.

I don't think so but her eyebrows are and so are the ones on the girl next to her. Is this a fundie trend or right of womanhood?   I think Jill photoshopped, not sure why though.

Maybe a bowl of Chex mix if they're lucky.

Think of all the unwashed hands digging into that one bowl. That's dinner for the Rod children.

Tessie's eyebrows are moving into sperm territory. I hope they don't end up like Nurie's.

She looks as though she's gone through a bit of a growth spurt, and is not quite used to her height. I guess we should be glad that she's nourished enough to actually grow...She hasn't gained the weight to match the increase in height, but that, in and of itself, is pretty normal. The question is whether she ever will. I think all the Rodling females seem encouraged to stay at the same weight they were pre-puberty  forever, and the older girls all seem on the taller side. I wonder whether the younger girls will ever catch up with them. The younger Rodlings all seem more stunted in growth.

If that’s Jill showing love to her littles imagine if she hated them.

With her love towards them she already doesn’t educate them, take them to the doctor, feed them or clothe them… some love huh?

She did write “more than words can express,” words not actions. BME and DBD love flapping their jaws but there’s never any action.

is this normally called a garden? I know this may be a regional thing but I call those flower beds? If I said garden around here I would mean a piece away from the house where you plant vegetables.

We don't really call it anything around here - maybe foundation plantings. We would only say flower bed if there were flowers included too, but we mostly plant bushes around houses in my area - to hide the foundations.

Free food. That's all Jill cares about.

Who prepares the deer meat?  The Rodlets?  Certainly not Jill, and most likely not Hunk.  And surely they don't pay someone else to do it for them.  Are the boys hunting for sport or for food?  Knowing Jill, she just enjoys watching her strapping young sons stalk around with their big manly guns because that's what real men do.

If it is for food, I'm fine with that. If they just dump the body, I'm not.

I suppose they could probably sell it...or give it to someone who can butcher it in return for a portion of the meat.

Maybe selling it. I can't imagine Jill going thru the trouble of finding someone to butcher it and then she would have to cook it, but maybe.

Perhaps a sweet friend will pay for the meat processing.

Interesting. I didn’t know that the Rods are archers.  It’s now bow season here in Ohio.  Youth gun opens Nov 19.  Just saying.

Jill's parents live in West Virginia. It looks like West Virginia had a special weekend for youth hunting of antlerless deer  with firearms back on October 15th and 16th.  Then regular antlerless deer season started on the 20th.

Just curious, what happens if someone is caught disregarding hunting regulations?

It depends by state and the exact infraction but can range from fines to jail time. You can also have your hunting license revoked and have to forfeit the weapon used.

Maybe deer meat will be served at the wedding as a stew or something

Jill's going to have to work hard to make her famous grease stew out of deer meat.

Maybe the wedding guests can cut their own piece of meat and throw it on the grill. Unfortunately, DBD is as bad at grilling as Jill is at cooking. At the family reunion in Texas, he managed to burn everything.

I know next to nothing about hunting, but bow hunting seems exceptionally cruel. Even if for food.

actually its a "fairer" fight.   With a gun you can just stand pretty far off and use big enough ammo and the deer doesn't stand a chance.   With a bow, you gotta know what you are doing and the deer has a chance to get away.   If it is for food I have no problem with hunting.

Honestly Jill may have someone willing to process for free.   Some hunters have their own processing and they don't mind helping others out.   It's a thing.   Plus you wind up with a LOT of meat and are more than happy if someone is willing to take it off your hands.   Venison is great.   But you can  only have so many venison burgers and steaks before you are all "ugh I just can't stand the sight of any more venison."   Until next year.

Jill must be busily writing accolades to herself and deciding which kid she should pretend is posting it on her FB account!

It really should be Not Nurie #1 since this is the LAST birthday she gets with the BEST MOM before she goes away forever (or a few miles down the road).

Its not the fight I'm concerned with. I'd rather the deer get shot and die instantly. I hate to think of it suffering while dying, or wandering the woods with an arrow in its leg.

Jill’s aunt, who I believe is the “home health aid” Jill referred to for her mom, wished her a happy birthday.
Jill’s response:

Thank you, Aunt Brenda!  You have no idea how much that means to me!  Especially with the way Ma is.  Love you!  ❤️

That's more a matter of aim than the weapon used, IMO. A good archer can kill a deer just as quickly as a good marksman with a rifle, in the same way that a poor shot with a gun is no quicker than a poor shot with an arrow.

That was later that night or the next day.

I recall cake (baked by Sidney Dingus) and basic snacks at Nurie's reception. Like carrot sticks and chips. I think MC FF even made a snide remark about the food.

Yes, I think that's right.  There were some snack foods and a cake; not a full meal.  This was in the afternoon after the wedding.  That same evening, the Keller children threw a big party for their parents' 40th anniversary.  It was in a nice hall, looked like the food was catered;  they obviously spent some money to make it special.  JRod and Dave, along with the 13 other kids, all showed up at the party and I seem to recall Jill taking an obnoxious number of photos of them enjoying themselves, I presume so she could pretend that this was the spread they laid out for the wedding of their eldest daughter.

I would not be surprised if Jill didn't spend a great deal of time hinting at the Keller kids that they should just combine forces and their parents' party could also be Nurie's reception; except Jill and Dave wouldn't have to contribute a nickel.  I'm sure Jill had only 30 or 40 more to add to the guest list.  I am glad that the Kellers apparently refused the offer.  Jill's greed and sense of entitlement knows no limits.

The area where Jill lives is full of people who hunt, I'm sure that is the case near her parents, too.  The game hunting community is pretty close knit and they are quick to come to the aid of another hunter.  I am sure that Jill and Dave know at least half a dozen people who know how to dress and process a deer; a lot of people take pride in doing it themselves (like my aunt and uncle when I was a kid).  They'd be more than happy to process the meat for them, probably for free.  I remember visiting my aunt and uncle at Thanksgiving many times and there would be several carcasses hanging on the trees on their property.  My uncle and cousins were pretty good hunters; but there was always a deer or two that they'd help someone else with.

I live about an hour north of Jill and have lived elsewhere in Ohio.  I don't know anyone who would look at what she did at her mother's or the gravel pit in her back yard and call it a garden.  It isn't by any standard I've ever known.  We might call the sparse foliage 'plantings' and the majority would be 'gravel to help drain the foundation'.  Do we know if Jill realizes that pieces of gravel are not seeds?  Maybe she thinks all those rocks are going to burst into bloom.  Otherwise, I have no idea how she ever got the idea that what she does is a garden.

No one.  Wedding receptions in fundyland do not normally include a sit-down dinner in any capacity.  These receptions rarely last more than an hour.  It's punch, various snacks and then cake.  The bride and groom greet guests, speeches are given, the cake is cut, and everyone leaves.  Guests are one their own for lunch before and dinner after.

Yes, they usually are pretty sparse. But if Jill can grift a meal she will. Remember this will also be a celebration of her birthday.

The virginal bridal couple can't waste time on lengthy meals or receptions.  They have to get to work on the baby-making!
