I'm only 5'3", and almost invariably find that petite clothes are just not a flattering cut on me. Maybe because I am also about a size 14 - I think a bit of extra weight does tend to negate the petite-ness (?) when your height is borderline.

Sometimes if one is not in the main intended range or otherwise on the edges, it may be better to size up.  Petites from many brands are a half inch to occasionally as much as an inch smaller than the comparable regular style.  That could cause the pants to pull up.

I'm not pushing Land's End, but they do have the delightful feature of being able to order some pants in your desired inseam.  I'm lucky in that the 28 inch inseam in my range of petite sizes is the perfect length.

Great news, snarkers. Ivory Cream is BACK ONLINE!!! Hideous new outfits for $35. 😂

At the rate Jill has been acquiring clothes, I'm not surprised she needs to offload some of them. And, just maybe, Melaleuca isn't turning out to be the goldmine she expected.

That's how it was with me.  Of course, it was the 80's, and routine ultrasound wasn't a thing, yet.  😄

I used to tell patients who asked that I thought it was like opening your presents before Christmas.  Finding out the sex of the baby when it is born is one of the true surprises in this world.

Nowadays, with free fetal DNA testing available commercially, virtually everyone knows before the end of the first trimester.

Years ago, ultrasound wasn't done as frequently and the technology, while incredible, was not to the level it is today.  Women got an anatomy scan at 18-20 weeks and would usually get the scoop on the genitalia then.  I had a patient who moved to town in the midst of her pregnancy and had the anatomy scan done elsewhere.  For some reason, I did a quick scan in the office when she was around 34 weeks, probably to be sure she wasn't breech and the baby's privates were on full display.  I asked her if she wanted to know.  Nope, they told her it was a boy at her first scan, so she already knew.  Except it was definitely not a boy.  I showed her the proof as she became angrier and angrier.  How DARE that ultrasound tech misread that scan!  Outrageous!  She'd already decorated the baby's room in blue with choo choo trains, she had a closet full of baby boy clothes!  They'd already named him and had a blanket and other baby stuff personalized!  I let it go, figured she'd cool off.  I saw her a couple weeks later, by then she'd surely be laughing about it.  Oh, no!  She wanted to sue the radiology department. They'd done a perfectly technically accurate scan, confirming the baby's due date and checking thoroughly for birth defects but she had an embroidered blanket!  The baby's sex was not even considered a relevant piece of medical info and not on the written report; she had no case, as I am sure she discovered. BTW, she was not a ray of sunshine in other areas either, complained about everything loudly and continuously. I was not sad when she moved out of town about 6 months after she delivered.

Now, get off my lawn!

Which presumably means everyone pays to go.

Jill wants it to sound like the company is just so enamored of her that they gave her a vacation, but it sounds like if she pays enough she will go. She will pay, that is probably why she reopened her Etsy shop. She needs to make vacation money,

September is smack-dab in the middle of hurricane season and probably the WORST time to go. You could not pay my way AND give me spending money to plan a trip to the Caribbean during hurricane season. But our dear Jill doesn’t know this, or thinks Jaysauce will provide her with clear skies and beautiful weather. Maybe it happens, that would be just our luck. But not worth the gamble IMHO.

She's already been to Punta Cana, courtesy of Plexus. She and David didn't do much when they were there because they were scandalized by the alcohol and skimpy swimwear they were forced to look at. Why does she need to spend her own money to do this again? Wouldn't another trip to Andy Griffith's home in Mayberry make more sense?

There is no earning invovled. Jill's upline person posted the trip is open to everyone.Screenshot(147).thumb.jpeg.87712a9811a6d67f0bde7aa3159ab150.jpeg

So, since everyone is invited, does this mean they are all paying their own way?  I cannot imagine Melaleuca giving free resort vacations to anyone who wants one regardless of their financial contribution to the company.

It seemed suspicious that JillyBean earned a trip to the recent SLC conference when she’s only been associated with Melaleuca a short time. I think she considers an invitation as something she earned, so I’m sure she will post that she earned this trip too. It’s probably what she tells Shrek and he’s fairly clueless or just doesn’t care as long as he is fed.

I went to one MLM convention in my life, and "Walking the Stage" is a very big deal to the "new business owners".  It is actually a herd of women walking from one side of the stage to the other in a big mass.  No name recognition. You can hardly pick out people you know.  You just get the privilege of getting out of your seat .  The walkers are whooping and hollering, and the audience claps and yells. The lighting flashes.  It is all over in 2 minutes.  Very strange.

Silly you, of course she will do both. 😂

The Punta Cana trip is a "Fast Track" event for new suckers. Jill thinking she earned or won these trips that she pays for airfare to get to always makes me laugh. She is the perfect sucker for fast track coaching.

Yeah its very weird.   I had one friend who got into one of the MLMs.   So deep she actually quit her job because "with [MLM] your time is your own."    BTW, she's back at her job as a nurse.  Amazing that.   Anyway, her MLM it was "crossing the bridge" but same concept.   It's this whole thing of going from your old boring life to being a "boss babe."   The company hypes it as a big deal, so you will feel special and dedicated to spending MORE of your money to make the company richer.

Of course Jill goes to all the "fast track" stuff.   She want's the get rich quick option, not the work hard at something for years options.   but being Jill she has to make it seem like the company is singling her out for these things because she is just so darn special.

And still no pics from Jill. Just the University of Utah's fight song. 🙄

I remember when my friend's husband gave us an Amway presentation at my parent's house. My dad watched for a bit and then left the room. He later told me that at work (70s), he had coworkers who bragged that they would be millionaires and wanted to show him "the plan" which he refused. They made no money and were still working there well into the 80s.

I'm curious about the blouse in the first "work outfit." It has a tail. I've lived through many decades of bad style, but I don't remember  blouses with tails.

I've seen that style before, including on celebrities. I kind of like it. JFC, I liked something that Jill Rodriguii wore. Save me!

I love that! I wish more people would do the same.

My daughter opted not to find out the sexes of her two kids (now 3 and 7) beforehand. Funnily enough, she was so sure the first one was going to be a boy that they had no girls' names even picked out. Then, once she had the one girl, she couldn't imagine the second one being a boy. Until he was born. When I had mine, ultrasounds were barely even a thing yet, and I only had one for my third (and final) pregnancy, but didn't want to know the sex ahead of time either. Mine were, boy, girl, boy, just as I had guessed.

I had no choice.  My children were born almost 60 years ago.  Before epidurals at least where I had mine.  I didn't have any labor coaching, no nursing support and bottle feeding back then was "the thing".  I was knocked out for both births which back then in Brooklyn, NY was very normal because I had several girlfriends who gave birth just about the same time at different local hospitals.  ex- husband was a medical intern and he did find me a nice doctor who was a middle aged man.  I don't think there were even any women doctors to choose from.  We used old wives tales to predict and they were right both times.

my guess Jill was invited but didn't go. prob sent $5 gift card if that.

It's really hard for Jill to spend a penny on anyone besides herself and Dave, so I would be surprised if she sent anything!

Jill may plan to throw a shower herself for the Rodrigues side of the family. She can control the narrative more and be sure more of the attention,  if not gifts, go to her.
