Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

@ginger90  will hopefully copy the FB post here ( I don’t know how).  Jill is crying ( again) because she moved Janessa out of the nursery. I thought she did that last year?  In addition, she got a second coffee bar.   Not sure why she needed two?   I will grant her the need for an office since that means she will stop doing radio broadcasts in the bathroom.

I saw that. Jill was totally being weepy and dramatic about this new "season". It's all about Jill as usual. Her new office if decorated to the max with so much furniture that I don't know how anyone can walk around that tiny room!

Since she bought the new desk and had it right next to the coffee nook before she left for florida, this was all planned.

Her wording Feb 6

"This is where my desk used to be, but I am moving my desk to another spot. So, I decided to transform this space into a coffee nook."

Cry in private Jill, but celebrate with your daughter how exciting it is to move in with the “big girls” and how much fun it will be to share a room with her sisters.  I swear she gets a strange thrill from traumatizing her children and seeing them cry.

She should call it what it is, a closet.  Getting around the desk to sit must require quite the shimmy.  Plus are there power plugs on each wall on either end of the desk with something plugged in?  Does she crouch under the power cords or have to unplug and replug the cords every time she goes in and out?  How about putting the second lamp somewhere else?

It's strange. Why didn't she just put the desk against one of the long walls? Does she have to face everyone who would dare walk in? Or is it so she can look at photos of herself on the wall?

And what "ever growing business [singular]" is she talking about? Is she expecting Melaleuca to make her rich, like she did Plexus? She's only been in Melaleuca a few weeks. I see more weeping in Jill's future.

That is a whole lot of crap crammed in a very small space. Jill better pray none of those overloaded plugs causes a fire because there's no way she could shimmy out of that closet office in a hurry.

the miscarriage shrine is still there. wow. I'm shocked she didn't put it next to Janessa in her new bed.

For someone who is barely home why does she need 2 coffee spots especially when her kids are not allowed to have anything to drink or rest much.

So she did quit plexus and it took her 7 years plus on not making rank or a decent salary. try again with another scammy MLM.

That office is hoarders paradise. how much crap does she need in a closet sized office.

PS : I truly believe Jills kids need therapy to deal with what life they have with mommy dearest.

Or Olivia's - since that poor child's birthday post from mama every year is all about the severe miscarriages. Olivia's "fun fact" on the grift tour is the miscarriages and the babies they will meet in heaven some day.

The goals - one is "lose 25 pounds".  The dream board in the frame to the left seems to show an in ground pool, a cement driveway, real fireplace and not sure what's in the lower right corner.

Good Lord this woman needs mood stabilizers if she's continually sobbing and weeping over every little thing in her life.

Also, I cannot imagine an office (or any room, really) with walls that are lined with pictures of MY DAMN SELF.  I guess since the vast majority of her selfies are on her phone - and we know that's always buried SO DEEP IN HER PURSE - she keeps them readily available for her own pleasureable viewing this way.   Still, ick.

I feel this way about every room in their house.  I have never seen someone cram more "decor" in such tiny spaces as Jill, not to mention the 367 electrical cords plugged into 17 outlets.  But I'm sure it's fine, Dave is surely on top of the situation - I think Jill said that he's a master electrician in addition to being a hunk.

I LOVE that so many people are reading Death in the Downline!  I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. :)

latest example of Dave's electrical skillz. Adding, what i would guess, are 2 outlets for Jill to add table lamps or other lighted junk to the coffee bar.

Also she mentions she's had kids in the "nursery" for almost 26 years.

Oh really?  Where was the "nursery" when you were living in the RV?

And when did they move to the Barndo?  because this particular "nursery" that holds so many memories more Jill was only established then.

Trying to make it sound like she had this stable life with the kids growing up around her when she moves every time she wears out her welcome somewhere.

How much do you want to bet that at whatever ungodly hour Janessa went to bed last night, Jill made another big ordeal with tears and sobbing about her baby growing up and the end of the “nursery”?  Which in turn probably made Janessa cry and unable to sleep in her new room, but needed to run back to Jill for comfort.  It’s been said many times in this forum, but Jill must be exhausting to live with.

My friend Google identifies that package as Melaleuca Simply Fit Nut & Fruit Clusters, Peach Praline [edit to correct] Mango Coconut flavor. A six-ounce bag sells for $13.00 to non-members and $8.99 to members, according to the company's website.

Fancy snacks, Jill. Gonna let any of your skinny kids have some?

I doubt it. Ugh.

Of course, in that photo, sharing the limelight with the nut & fruit cluster: an excellent shot of Jill's thumbnail. Featuring a very grown-out acrylic overlay. Maybe Jill spent all her money on expensive snacks - oh, excuuuse me, inventory? - and office furnishings, and can't afford a nail fill. Or can't grift one. I think she's probably touched up the polish from time to time, so there's that. But it still looks kinda sloppy.

I used to have acrylic overlays. I'd have gone crazy if mine had grown out that much before I got a fill done. I do give Jill props for apparently keeping the overlays on for as long as they've been on there as shown by how much the nail has grown out. I was forever breaking an overlay. Maybe Jill keeps her acrylic overlays from breaking because she doesn't do much with her hands except using her phone and pointing with The Finger™ as she directs her kids to do all the housework, furniture moving, hanging pictures, etc.

EDITED to add: Maybe the snacks aren't inventory, but were part of whatever starter pack Jill bought when she joined up. I haven't done a deep dive, but from what I've read, it's possible that Melaleuca operates on a model where products are ordered and shipped directly to the buyers from the company. Not like Mary Kay where the reps keep inventory on hand for sales/delivery to their customers.

I wonder how Janessa's first night of non-nursery sleep went, given that Jill probably forgot to put Janessa to bed after their post-midnight shared sob-fest (those photos aren't going to filter and post themselves), and that Janessa probably thought she'd done something wrong by growing up enough to be evicted from her special room.

I think Jill gets a disturbing thrill from scaring her kids so that they cling to her, and then feels powerful when she withholds her love and attention - Janessa might get the worst of that by virtue of her birth order.

I think all the kids are trained from the start to react to Mama's moods and jump to it if Jill is unhappy or sad or angry.  They've probably experienced some scary moments from her when she didn't get the amount of attention and comfort she wanted for whatever perceived crisis she was going through and the kids know that Mama expects constant attention, praise and empathy for any negative emotion she might have.  Along with presents, of course.  See: recent trip to Epcot without the kids.

What in the holy F is that cage about? Was that where she would keep babies? Mind blown isn’t a big enough emoji.

The girls decorate like her because it’s Stockholm syndrome. They don’t dare do anything that she doesn’t do. And the men they married are no damn help. At least the Dugger girls seem to have found middle of the roadish guys who at least got them questioning other theology, not to mention changing their clothing and having the option of choosing how many children they want.
