Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

In Jill's magazine she did mention her name for an app to get donations. Maybe it was cash app I don't remember. Jill knows what app to use for receiving money.

I just checked the boutique to see what she accepts. She does take PayPal but not Venmo.

That poor child. Not only is she going through a terribly awkward phase (and everyone goes through one, let's be honest), she's also been saddled with a horrible hairstyle and the world's ugliest outfit. It looks like someone tried to make a Christmas tree skirt into clothing.

Well, I will try to ignore the hairstyle, then, but good gravy gracious, that picture looks like a kid playing dress up in her grandmother's closet.

Where would you wear it?

It's hard to say without seeing the whole thing, but I might pair the shirt with black or coloured pants and a better cardigan or blazer.

The pink thing looks like it coooould possibly be cozy for an around the house day or some map watching (like a robe, but short).

The skirt... nope, not in a million years unless I was cast as an elf or Mrs Claus in some sort of Holiday pageant.

I originally called it hideous. No reason to retract that. ☹️

No arguments here. I guess I just have more sympathy for kids who make unfortunate hair choices they will live to regret (as we all did) than I do for BAE (Best Auntie Ever) styling that monstrosity.

I do feel sorry for that child and for any kid captured nowadays in an unbecoming photo -- The internet is forever.  I'm old so photos of my adolescence remain thankfully unseen, but I had a shock when I found out Ancestry has digitized and put online MANY high school yearbooks from my era and even earlier.  Yikes!

This reminds me of school play costumes. Putting together a costume for a play set in the 1800s but you know there's no budget so this is the best they come up with. Mostly made up of different pieces from parents' closets.

What did that poor child do to offend her mother because the only reason I can come up with her wearing that is she is being punished.

Auntie Jill probably asked Felicity to model for the sticky cream boutique, and Felicity thought it might be fun. It might have been Jill who put all the makeup on her face and even did her hair.

The outfit is definitely Jill's work. Only Jill has such awful taste.

If the I thought the rod modeling girls had a clue of Tom Sawyer and the fence painting, I could see them attempting it on the cousins for modeling the hideous outfits.

"oh it's so fun, mama picks the most beautiful outfits we have ever seen and she does your make up. It's so fun! You just have to try it!"

While Jill thinks she's smarter, prettier, and more talented than everyone else, she has no problem offloading tasks she either can't do or doesn't want to.

Felicity has her face painted, and I don't think Jill's sisters' daughters wear that much makeup, if any. I also don't think that awful outfit is something any of the nieces would choose. They generally dress better than the Rodlets because Jill's sisters seem to take better care of their children and their husbands support them by working at real jobs.

Those tank tops under V-necks really kill me. There is absolutely nothing showing in that kind of a V-neck. And this girl isn’t even close to having any cleavage that might show. They (Jill) insist on covering up about 2 inches of skin with those tank tops. I don’t think any of the girls have cleavage anyway, frankly. it’s so ridiculously all for show. You can’t be modest if you don’t have a tank top or leggings. Even if your skirt is to the knee, and your top is only covering a few inches if that.

Hmmm. Since Brigot wore her hair that way for the courtship announcement, my money is on she doing the niece’s hair for the “modeling.”

Did anyone see Jill‘s casserole on Instagram? It looked like a stratta. It appeared to be leftover stuffing, added with tomatoes, lunchmeat, and cheese. And on top of it was eggs and milk and maybe ham? Anyway, how many kids are still at home? And then she made like 15 rolls and some kind of an apple dessert. It never looks like nearly enough food. I can see my husband and I eating half of the stratta ourselves. Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but it’s not going to feed like 13 people or whatever they have now. Why can’t she learn to cook in bulk? She’s been doing this for so damn many years. Pisses me off.  Then the girls get to model size XS clothes.

I know the Duggers were always majorly effed up. But I never once thought they all looked too skinny. The kids actually looked like they were fed. Some too much. Cough Josh cough. Although I guess that was actually after he married Anna. But even though they would load up the grocery cart with processed canned and frozen food, they looked fed.

another niece apparently modeling another outfit. It was a floral skirt with kind of a cute sweater (tank top, not included!). With some kind of a purse. But what stands out immediately is that the poor girl is wearing leggings down to her ankles! In beige, all the way down to her ankles. What the F is a point? The skirt was more than long enough. 😑 ugh. Sizes are small, and size 4. Doesn’t she know by now that these do not sell? When she put up plus sized stuff they sold right away. You are selling to the wrong audience!

I consider myself a normal size person. Although I am tall, 5‘11“, and am a bit busty, but I weigh less than 150 pounds. I could not fit into one single thing that she sells. They are either extra small, petite, size 4, or 3X. I think I am like most women and I’m somewhere in between those sizes. She just doesn’t have a Market for what she sells. And what the hell size does she wear? She rarely models anything. I think I saw her once in a large shirt. She’s no petite little girl like all of her daughters and nieces. Grift some clothes that real people can wear!

I am editing late at night as I get more and more pissed off with this person.

I made the mistake of watching the whole video from her facebook (sorry, I didn't have enough coffee yet to make logical decisions.) Since Jilldo "loves cooking for her family" so much, she has to grift a few cutting boards (that poor, poor countertop) and someone needs to teach her how to hold and use a knife properly. She might as well grift a cooking lesson or 2 - that "casserole" looked disgusting! 🤢

Those sizes are all thats left in the Goodwill bins.   She is taking waht she can find and then claiming she has an AMAZING eye for fashion.

That's it. She knows plus sizes will sell, but they're hard to source in the bag-for-a-dollar bins.

How much time does she spend going to thrift shops? For a busy mother of a dozen kids, she sure has a lot of time to devote to the cream of wheat boutique and Plexus, neither of which seem to be especially lucrative business ventures.

She also had the time and money to completely redecorate her Christmas tree, the one that's been up since after Thanksgiving. She and Dave bought a real tree, and now it's invisible under a truckload of white ribbons and bows and whatever--maybe it's supposed to be an Ivory Cream Christmas tree. Those decorations mean fewer gifts for the family and less food, but the kids probably won't notice since there's never enough anyway.

Jill called it a sausage casserole. It should have been called a sodium and cholesterol casserole instead.

Is she trying to give Lover Boy a medical emergency?

I’m not sure a starving dog would eat that casserole.  Not only does Jill not prepare enough food, but the food that she does prepare is inedible (except for Hunk, who’ll obviously eat anything).

That casserole was horrible. How does that food go together? The base looked like mush & then adding hunks of red onion, deli meat, & then pouring eggs & tomato on top?!?!
It’s casserole season and there are a ton better recipes if she’d bother to look!

I watched in utter horror and fascination as she kept adding layer after layer of foods that could be good, but not together.  I finally had a good laugh when she topped the entire conglomeration with slices of Kraft American singles.  Hopefully her waifs weren't standing there hungry while Mahmo filmed herself chopping onions and tomatoes for the 'Gram.

So did Jill invite her extended family over for Thanksgiving and then grab every girl child to play dress up in Jill's bedroom, followed by filming them for Curdled Crap?  I have to imagine that took quite a bit of time away from whatever socializing the family could actually do.  Isn't the hostess supposed to - host?  Did those girls even want to model for Crazy Auntie Jill?  Yikes.

Well, remember Jilly did ditch her son's wedding reception for a photo shoot, so I doubt she gives a crap about playing hostess.

The girls probably got this activity while the non whimp men folk were out pretending to be soldiers in their camo wear and airsoft weapons.

I bet Jill and lover boy went out for dinner lol. No way Dave ate that "casserole". Even Ellen was like what is that?

In the live Jill did last night she mentions she is going to make sausage casserole and "maybe I should do a tutorial. I don't use actual recipes very often"

She also apparently doesn't use knives very often because she is trying to use a bread knife to slice the tomato and lunch meat directly on the countertop.

It shows that she neither uses a recipe not does she have any cooking talent.

Why should she cook, sew, clean or perform any household tasks? She has unpaid house elves for that stuff. Anyway, DesIGn iS HeR PasSioN, and she's very talented at that. According to Jill herself.

She really does have an eye for fashion. It seems almost effortless how she can just throw things together.... just breathtaking!
