I agree with you, but I'm thinking that Raquel will be gone before Tom.  Tom will be on the apology tour next, letting us see into his therapy, declare himself a sex addict or some such nonsense.  As much as I think he needs to go, I'm doubtful that will happen.

He is very intertwined, between TomTom and now, S&S, plus all of his history on the show.

The snarky side of me would be interested in seeing this, though, because I want to see him shunned.  I want to see him shamed.  I want to see him scorned.  I want to see Ariana go scorched earth on him.  I want to see Sandoval crawl over glass shards to beg for someone's forgiveness, and everyone turn their backs on him.  For too long, Sandoval has been this narcissitic bastard who never admitted wrong-doing or self-accountability for all the shit he's done.  His delusions of grandeur and ego made him think he was soooo much more than he ever was.  He's a horrible human being and deserves to be publicly humiliated over and over and over agin.

I could care less what happens with Raquel - let her be gone and never mentioned again.

Oh, yes. Of them all, Raquel is definitely the most expendable here. But really, I don’t think anybody is the “glue” that holds any of these shows together.

Let Sandoval take a slow trip through hell at the reunion. I’m just sick of seeing him (and Schwartz) play his way through life like an overgrown toddler.

Trying to remember…didn’t Sandoval always seem to be passing judgment on everybody else, and setting himself up as the one who always knew best? Asshole.

I think Rachel loves the attention.

I went down a rabbit hole after hearing about oh she’s a pageant girl on so many posts, vlogs, etc.

I found a website that listed all of the Miss USA CA contestants prior placements along with the last pageant. Rachel’s highest placement was top 10, next highest a top 20. Every other time (since 2012 with some year’s not competing), not a finalist. She had been in the Miss USA CA Miss and the Miss USA Teen competitions.

I know I watched a vloggers story about her time in a Miss USA state pageant (not CA). Basically she had been recruited. Most of the Miss USA/Teen state organizations have no local pageants. You pay the $$ or get sponsors to pay, and you can be Miss Blueberry Patch Township 2024. There are two states listed who do have local pageants, Texas and maybe Florida. Definitely not CA. I clicked on the application, which said you have to meet the requirements: age, residency, etc. Sadly, my old butt didn’t qualify (lol).

Most of the contestants had a few prior placements listed, not as many as Rachel. There were 1 or 2 who had as many throughout the years listed. It made me sad. Just seems she needs attention, validation, fame so desperately. I really think she’s loving her 15 minutes of fame. I don’t think she’s all that innocent. Does seem a bit like All About Eve.

Sandoval saw someone who was willing and jumped at the chance. Has he cheated before? Absolutely.

The relationship was probably over, but they have financial reasons maybe that kept them together. I think he was fine with cheating, staying with Ariana, and stringing Rachel along.

I agree that Raquel is the most expendable. She is new to the show, and an outsider, more than ever before. The Toms own businesses with Lisa Vanderpump, but from what she said on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, she wouldn't have a problem buying them out of TomTom. I assume if they became a PR liability. They are more integral to the show than Raquel. A lot of the original cast members were fired already, and some new didn't fit in, left, or got fired, so we will most probably see the Toms again, unless Sandoval leaves. It will be problematic to have Ariana and Sandoval on the same show though.

Ugh he's so smarmy in that clip.  Just shooting the s*it with that TMZ reporter like it's his buddy asking how his day is.  I love that he had to say that Ariana is surrounded by a great support system twice..like that's all she needs at this point to weather this storm. That's all well and good, Schwartz, but he doesn't seem to really understand the gravity of the situation.  But then again, why would he?  He's Sandoval's lap dog.  And to think, I teared up at his proposal to Katie back in the day.  I know it wasn't the most extravagant but it seemed heartfelt.

As a long time watcher of the show (Vanderpump Season 1 was my gateway drug to Bravo lol), I've also fallen down the rabbit hole of tidbits and news regarding Scandoval.  I even listened to Straight Up with Stassi which honestly, I did not think I would do.  I'm paraphrasing her comments but she said some things that I can't quite shake--that being in that "reality TV" world really messes with your head (the partying, the filming with significant others (and exes) and that she's really glad she's out of it and that it took her a long time to feel normal in her relationships.

This is not to excuse Rachel or Sandoval's despicable actions at all but it just really speaks to how toxic of an environment reality TV is.  Like would Raquel have done this if she wasn't on TV?  It's an interesting debate.  I would never in a million years sign up for that crap.  Does it make me feel a little icky for watching?  Maybe.  But at this point it's kind of an addiction.

Here's a 21st century pet peeve of mine:  when public figures do a public apology which is mostly about how "I'm learning and growing and working on myself" 🙄😡

I hate to quote my own post, and this is totally off topic, but I just read Will Smith's reaction to Chris Rock's new Netflix special where he discusses "the slap":  "Smith also expressed that he has worked on himself since the incident, and wants Rock to 'move on' so that he and everyone else can as well" 😳

So I guess once Sandy and Raquel work on themselves, Ariana and the rest of the gang can just shut their pieholes!

Here's the thing though - Kristen and Stassi were fired for the incident with Faith, and I don't remember the reason given for Jax's firing, but we all know it was because he said on camera that it was "his show" and once LVP's head stopped spinning it was time for him to go.  But he and Kristen slept together, while she was living/partnered with Sandoval, in their house, and she cried but Jax couldn't even muster up a lame apology or offer to work on himself - "should have satisfied your woman" said he.  Yet they continued on the show for years together, along with Jax's ex Stassi.  Why is Katie hanging out with people she hates and her ex-husband now?  LA is a big city, and according to Katie she's already getting dates and sex.

I say she wouldn't have - because she would have had all of LA to hang out with instead of this one tiny group (see my comments above). They all just want to be famous/on tv so bad.  And they behave like total whores (men and women) and then their parents come on the show and don't seem embarrassed or ashamed of them at all!  I hold them all in contempt. Do I feel bad for watching?  No, but neither can I get too incensed about their bad behavior.  I am surprised about Raquel, but everyone else?  Nah 🙄

Totally agree with what you said, @princelina!  My initial thoughts were about how people are purporting the notion that Rachel is a sociopath and completely devoid of empathy (which again, I'm not discounting that based on her absolute lack of empathy when I see her interacting with Ariana and Katie and knowing the whole relationship with Sandoval).  Like, what the f#@k.  It's diabolical.  It just also makes me wonder if it was brought on by this heightened reality TV rush of attention (good or bad).  Either way, I've invested too much thought into this whole thing lol.

I agree with what you are saying - I think Raquel is probably just a dumb girl with wrong priorities - even the whole "wanting to be loved" schtick could be solved in greater LA.  The desire to only be loved by one of the men in this tight group is her problem.  And as I said before - I think the fact that she was a popular cast member last year went to her head - she didn't realize that a lot of that was based on her "reforming" James and being a sweetheart who was tied to him.  Unlike Brittany - the only reason Jax wasn't the first divorced guy is because she will never let him go!  He's been trying to break up with her since she arrived in California 😄

Ariana has a right to judge her. The people in the cast do as well, to an extent. But this hysteria over the whole thing? It's ultimately a situation of infidelity and in Raquel's case, duplicity with a good friend. People are acting like it's been revealed that they were running a child porn ring or something. Katie, and the rest are hanging out together (on the show, and some off the show, as well) because they want to continue to be famous, and to make easy money. So, Ariana, Sandoval, and Raquel will too. Raquel and James, Katie and Tom did it already this season, like others in the past.

Jax was supposedly fired because he and Brittany had initially asked a pastor, who is homophobic and anti-trans, to officiate their wedding.

Gotta love Bravo. According to my cable schedule, a RHOA marathon is supposed to be on…instead, it’s last year’s VR. I tuned in just in time to see Sandoval get on his sanctimonious high horse over Lala and Rand, after she got on hers over Scheana and Brock.

For the finger you point, there are three pointing back at YOU.

I found it kind of disturbing how she so casually retold the story of how she and Schwartz got together, right in front of Katie (who still invited her to Vegas) and Katie’s mom (who was still obviously hurt over it). Raquel’s reaction to Teri seemed cold, too. No shame or regret, obviously.

I think Raquel has been an apt pupil of the class, How To Get Ahead on Bravo TV 101 — get a toehold with the gang, and then betray everybody with a smile. She’s seen how the “bad girls” get traction on these shows, but I don’t think she’s as good at that game as she thinks she is. She is definitely not a personality you “love to hate.”

Was she really a fan favorite? I hate dumb, weak women. I could never tolerate her or Brittany for that reason

I got a really off vibe about her when she first started appearing on the show as James girlfriend, she wasn´t just dumb, it was more like she lacked all charisma and "life". I think many viewers felt that way at the time, she wasn´t liked but she wasn´t disliked either. James is very much the opposite of that, he´s full of life and has a great on-screen presence about him. Then as time went on I started to notice a huge shift in favor of Rachel/Raquel on boards like this where people are talking about these characters, suddenly she was considered extremely beautiful and so kind, people were quite passionate about it and I started thinking that it must be true and I just sort of believed it, despite the way I had felt about her at first. I was fooled into caring for her, she wasn´t shown doing anything wicked and the others were constantly going on and on about her innocence and beauty. I´m more of the opinion now that she just has a personality disorder and she´s not that beautiful either.

ETA: I always enjoyed Britney, she has a big personality that makes up for her faults imo. She gave a lot more to the show than R ever did.

This. Very well stated. “Betray everybody with a smile.” Pure gold.

Obviously the vast majority of people won’t tolerate this poser, which is why the entire cast and even Lisa Vanderpump referred to her as “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

I never understood her using her “friends” to raise money for her nose job, and admitting on national television that she was having James pay for everything!

So this sense of entitlement to having others give her what she wants transcends this act of cheating on your friend, and appears to apply to her view of her life, wants and desires as she manipulates her way through life. Honestly I cannot believe that James paid everything for her, and that she felt entitled to that.

The cast is icing her out, rightfully so. Most people see her true colors.

Perfectly, perfectly stated! I never cared for her either. And the vast majority of people don’t excuse someone who copulates with friend’s lover, particularly when it is in friend’s home, their sanctuary. Vile.

I really have to hand it to Bravo…last season showed Sandoval in all his dickishness, which is probably why the schedule got changed last minute.

Right now it’s the episode showing the first cold open (of hundreds) of S&S, and Tom is going on and on about all the grand designs he has for the place.

Lisa (grownup voice of reason): How much is all this going to cost?

Sandoval (arrogant ass, as usual): We don’t really have a budget. We’re working on it. Followed by a TH, saying this is his concern and Lisa should mind her own business. A large part of me wants to see that place fail.

Honestly, watching previous seasons and knowing what we now know, is almost like hearing a Greek chorus. Bravo always keeps the receipts.

Arianna is absolutely devastated, by all accounts. Her home and sanctuary has been violated. It would be surprising if she didn’t feel violated (raped) by the death of her relationship, and death of her friendship with R as well as Sandoval.
No need for concern, as empathy for Arianna is being offered.

Oh, my.

https://wehoville.com/2023/03/10/pump-and-tom-tom-have-lost-their-liquor-licenses/

Quote

Lisa Vanderpump has had the liquor licenses for her popular venues, Pump Lounge and Tom Tom Restaurant, suspended after a routine inspection by the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC).

The violations included selling alcohol to minors, serving intoxicated patrons, and failing to maintain accurate records of alcohol sales at Pump Lounge and Tom Tom Restaurant.

The suspension went into effect on March 8, and will remain in place until the issues are resolved.

It’s a major blow to Vanderpump and her husband, restaurateur Ken Todd, as the 95th Academy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, and both venues had been counting on the increased business that typically accompanies awards season in Hollywood. However, the recent suspension of the liquor licenses may significantly impact their ability to participate in the festivities.

I don't follow your logic -- all these people are terrible so viewers should not talk so much about the people on the tv show that we talk about?  They're terrible people so the basic rules of morality do not apply? This is what we do here -- we talk about these people.

Disagree that it's "just cheating"; it's much more than that hence the very passionate reaction. We've seen cheating many times before and I can't recall this level of passion (disagree that it's hysteria) about any cheating scandal, on any of these shows.

I think people feel a lot of empathy for Ariana, not just for the cheating SO, but for the double betrayal and for the feeling she was played a fool. In this situation, with Raquel, she's the personification of the old adage: no good deed goes unpunished.

I'm actually heartened by the passionate reaction -- it's good to know that despite our many differences these days, we still share some basic morality. Shitty behavior is is still shitty behavior.

I think we can all agree that calls for violence and DM'd death threats come from the small percentage of internet weirdos (who seem to send them to virtually everyone on on virtually every subject) are completely unacceptable.

Don’t put your words in my mouth. I never said there shouldn’t be comments. I took issue with the slut shaming and the use of the label sociopath. And if you think having a cheating boyfriend is akin to rape and death,  maybe ask a rape victim about that.

We can certainly agree to have varying opinions. As numerous posters have pointed out, this isn’t about a “cheating boyfriend.” There are many, many prior posts clearly elucidating that this isn’t about a cheating boyfriend.
Slut shaming? If someone wants to behave in a continuous manner on national television, while proudly having no regard for others, that’s on them, not the observers. If one does not wish to be observed, then curtail the negative behavior, that’s all.

I found this hard to believe because they were on for at least one more season after their wedding.  So I did some googling, and it seems to be reason unknown/more blowback from the Faith situation.  I still think the real reason is he told LVP it was "his show" 😄

Jax and Stassi were recently broken up but Stassi still felt betrayed.  Kristen and Sandy were still in their "relationship" and she even had sex with Jax while Tom slept in the other room - so shame on him even more because he knows how that feels!

Yes. There were some following episodes chastising them, and then they all moved on. LVP didn’t do WWHL specials about it, there were no podcasts and public apologies by anyone etc. Everyone suspected they were lying, they were proven to be liars, and they moved on. This making Ariana some kind of martyr right now is mind boggling considering she got him by cheating.

Even going as far as making Kristen appear nuts for even thinking that Tom would step out on her. I guess because at the time Kristen wasn’t friends with Ariana and Jax was so disliked no one cared. Still the same situation with a totally different reaction from the public.

As I recall, this was discussed a lot at the time. But, I think people felt that their relationship was extremely dysfunctional and they had both cheated on each other. I remember not liking Ariana much then and thought she gaslighted Kristen a fair bit. And Kristen and Ariana did not like each other at all then.

But a question -- If, during that time, Kristen had taken Ariana (who was trying to get on the show)  under her wing. If she had invited her places and lunched with her and commiserated with her and just done all the things that a friend does. If, when Ariana was moving, Kristen had invited her into her home, to stay with her, essentially paying her rent, etc. And all of this while Ariana was sleeping with Tom, sneaking around in her house. Would that make it seem worse to you, or still the same?

Ariana showed a lot of kindness to Raquel, and while Raquel was taking the kindness and the hospitality and the acceptance, she was also, at the very same time, sleeping with Ariana's boyfriend. There's bad, and there's worse. This is worse.

Don’t put your words in my mouth. I never said there shouldn’t be comments. I took issue with the slut shaming and the use of the label sociopath. And if you think having a cheating boyfriend is akin to rape and death,  maybe ask a rape victim about that.

OK, rape victim here: it was MUCH, MUCH worse to be betrayed by my spouse than to be violated by a stranger.

Okay, there are posters here who still call Ariana “Nugget” to this day since she and Tom allegedly made out in the pool at The Golden Nugget a decade ago. Let’s not pretend that no one cared or no one talked about that affair. Like 90% of the purpose of this board is trash-talking all of the affairs and betrayals on this show. It just got boring as hell once they all settled down, so this is bringing back “the old magic” that made us fans of the show. Sure, I feel bad for the people involved…but mostly it’s just juicy gossip. Though I’ll hand it to you that somehow this affair has transcended typical TV chat groups and has became a cultural phenomenon. This is as big as the demise of Brangelina or Bennifer, circa early 2000s. Listen, we’ve hit 3 years to the day of COVID life—this is giving us something shocking and entertaining to talk about.

I don't doubt Jax was fired because he said VR was his show.

He was also charged with stealing a pair of sunglasses in Hawaii around that time. I remember Sandoval (and Ariana) brought the homophobic pastor issue on the show several times, including a reunion.

A big part of why this story is so interesting is because it involves basically all of the cast - thanks to the fake Raquel/Schwartz storyline which Schwartz was happy to co-sign even though he knew it hurt Katy. It involves James because Sandoval helped him plan and pay for his proposal to Raquel. And it involves us as audience because we were fooled too, and they almost got away with it.

The furor might be dying down now but luckily they picked those cameras right up to capture the aftermath. And good job they did because if there were many months in between it would be far less interesting.

Yeah the pastor was an issue on the show, but they dumped him and got Supergay VDP Friend Lance Bass to marry them - the bigger issue was that they were pissed at Sandoval for making an issue of it!  The sunglasses thing was several years prior - it was Brittany's first "group trip" with the show.  Basically Jax has done everything he pleased without repercussions other than Lisa saying that she "ought to" fire him.  Until he made that fatal mistake! 😂

I totally agree about Jax and his last mistake: Saying to LVP that "This show is MINE"....

YES. Lisa hates him. I recently rewatched that scene and you can see her blood boil. The whole scene is very strange and hilarious to watch now.
