cooksdelight December 2, 2014 Share December 2, 2014 A place to discuss Apollo and his criminal history, his sector of the time scale and will he or won't he spill the beans? Link to comment
kassa December 2, 2014 Share December 2, 2014 I'm torn. I do think he's an idiot, and that points to him being likely to spill the beans on Phaedra if he had more awful beans to spill about her involvement in his life of crime. On the other hand, he's a criminal, and he may consider her involvement his bird in the hand. To mix metaphors, he's probably savvy enough to be blackmailing her, and part of that is not playing ALL the cards he has, but play some minor, really embarrassing ones first. "I was lying about Kenya." "Phaedra used to bang me on an air mattress when I had a monitor on!" That sort of thing will leave her wondering just what he is going to say next. And that's one thing if he's just going to embarrass her, but a whole OTHER thing if he can implicate her in aiding and abetting (or masterminding) his crimes. Frankly, if she's as smart as she wants us to think she is, she should embrace Kenya as the "victim" of Apollo's lies as a strategic defense against whatever future "lies" he might offer about HER. After all, if he could lie about Kenya and convince everybody he was telling the truth, nothing he might accuse Phaedra of can be believed, right? Holding on to her grudge against Kenya, no matter how heartfelt, might not be her best move. Link to comment
RedKoolAide December 2, 2014 Share December 2, 2014 (edited) I think the problem I'm having with Apollo humiliating Phaedra is that I don't remember her ever doing that to him on the show. Maybe I'm wrong because I don't remember every detail since they've joined the show, but he's ridiculous. He treats her like shit for an entire season and then expects her to support his thieving ass in court? Phaedra isn't without her faults but Apollo is a special kind of asshole. Btw, this is the best thread title ever. Edited December 2, 2014 by RedKoolAide 5 Link to comment

Don't forget he also mentored kids about staying out of a life of crime, all while he was all up in other people's accounts. I think that's one of the things that pisses me off the most about his whole situation. Selling lies to teenagers who are only looking for role models as examples to help escape the cycles they're born into. Fucker. 7 Link to comment

What a trooper. http://realitywives.net/blogs/apollo-nida-launches-new-business-from-prison/ via Radar Online:Apollo Nida won’t be confined by prison walls! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is currently behind bars for the next eight years, and facing an impending divorce from Phaedra Parks, but Radar has learned he just launched a new business — from prison! The imprisoned reality star and father of two has been posting from behind bars about a new workout plan called Nida Fitness 4%. According to the Bravo star, it is an inspirational program that attempts to motivate people to work out.The program points out that getting one hour of exercise a day is roughly only 4% of a person’s day, hence the tagline for the company: “It’s only 4%.”Nida’s new website, itsonly4perecent.com, is selling waterproof USB wristbands with the tagline written on them. Cosign. I thought the fitness video/personal trainer gig was perfect for him. Approximately 67% (16/24) of our day is dedicated to sleeping and working which gives us 33% for cooking/eating, driving, taking care of children/parents, reading, working out, watching TV/surfing the internet. If Apollo's calculation considered sleeping and working, an hour of exercise would be 12.5% (1/8) of our available hours. But how in the hell are prisoners allowed to launch businesses and websites? Who knew you could run a business from prison. I hope this means that he can make full restitution. Edited December 6, 2014 by ToukieSmith 1 Link to comment
Baltimore Betty February 18, 2015 Share February 18, 2015 I know this is a random question but Apollo has to report to prison in Kentucky(?) or some other state, right? So the practical part of me was thinking about his car, is he driving it to prison then it will sit in some really long term parking lot? Does Phaedra get it back? Does Apollo think his car will be waiting for him in 8 years? And in that vein of thinking...is he really expecting Phaedra to mail him keys to a house he won't see for 8 years, (I am pretty sure you are not allowed such items in prison). She did say that she was not even sure she would still be in that house when he got out. Oy, the things I think of when it is slow at work. 1 Link to comment
cooksdelight February 18, 2015 Author Share February 18, 2015 No, Apollo was taken in a van with police officers, secure escort, that type of thing. Anything he owns, that has his name on it, will go toward making restitution to his victims. To the tune of several million dollars. 1 Link to comment
selhars February 18, 2015 Share February 18, 2015 I don't think anyone just drives their own car to prison.....MAYBE if you're just reporting for weekends, at some minimum security place that MIGHT have it's own parking. Sentences like a person would get of a minor infraction and they let you serve your time for X number of weekends. And even then they may not let INMATES park there. That's about the only kind of detention facility that I would imagine has "inmate parking" -- it's not the airport, after all. I would imagine the person reports to a local authority with some kind of witness or escort, they take you in, process that you've at least reported there...and then law enforcement transports you. He'll also include an explanation as to why he and his mentor, Iceberg Slim, are misunderstood. I've found it fascinating for quite some time that most of Apollo's accomplices have usually been women. I think Phaedra embarrassed Apollo early on when they first started airing. She made it clear by her words and airs that he was beneath her, that she was running the show financially, and, of course, he grew up eating potted meat. Not to mention correcting his speech on air. My husband and I figured way back then that Apollo was simply going to abide his time and would sooner or later show his ass when he started to feel stifled and emasculated. It sure didn't take long. 2 Link to comment
cooksdelight May 3, 2015 Author Share May 3, 2015 I'm watching a show on MSNBC called "White Collar Crime: Life On The Inside" and according to prisoners in federal prisons who have done things similar to Apollo, the whole "club fed" thing is a myth. There is no privacy, there are regular body searches, it's scary and it's anything but a country club. You're told when to get up, when to go to sleep, when to eat, when to go to the bathroom. You'll do tremendous activity to keep yourself healthy, or you'll get tremendously depressed by doing nothing all day. But, if you've got money, you can get anything. One guy talked about smuggling a prostitute into the very prison where Apollo is at. That must be why Apollo was so urgent about someone putting money on his account. And why he is constantly wanting Phaedra and the kids to come and visit. I can only imagine him asking Phaedra to put cell phones and other contraband on his kids. They do have access to email and things like that, which is one way the boys could stay in touch with their father. It's an eye-opening look at what it's really like in white-collar prisons, and you can probably catch it on reruns on MSNBC. It's original airdate was 4/29/15. Link to comment

All I can find is that a rep from the US Marshal Service is saying it isn't really an arrest, but he was taken back into custody. He doesn't have a new charge but the court issued an order to bring him in because he was in trouble for breaking a technical condition of his release. He's only been out for a couple of days, so that's pretty quick to break a condition/rule already. 2 2 Link to comment
