Found another one! Paris and Luke totally forget they've met:

"Richard in Stars Hollow" (S2/E12). This is the episode in which Paris, wanting a shot at the Oppenheimer Award for Excellence in school journalism for Chilton's paper, The Franklin, decides to write an expose focusing on the "seedy underbelly" of small-town life. She convinces Rory to show her around Stars Hollow. Their first stop is at Luke's Diner, where she meets (and annoys).....Luke!

"New and Improved Lorelai Gilmore" (S6/E1). Rory announces to Paris that she's taking a break from Yale. Paris shows up at Lorelai's house, upset at Rory, and wanting to convince Lorelai to force Rory to go back to Yale. Luke is there:

PARIS: Who are you?
LUKE: Well, I..... (Paris cuts him off and barges in)
PARIS: I need to talk to Lorelai. Where is she?
LUKE: Well she's...
PARIS: Lorelai? Where are you?
LORELAI (OS from upstairs): Who's that?
PARIS: It's Paris, and I need to talk you right now! (to Luke) Who are you?
LUKE: Well I tried to tell you....
(Lorelai comes down the stairs)
LORELAI: Paris! Hey, what are you doing here?
PARIS: Are you busy? Is this a bad time?
LORELAI: No we're just getting ready to go out. It's fine. Have you met Luke?
PARIS: No.
LUKE: I'm Luke.
PARIS: Paris.
LUKE: Nice to.....
(Paris diverts her attention from Luke and turns to Lorelai)

I just remembered both Luke and Paris attended "The Bracebridge Dinner" (S2/E10) just two episodes prior to "Richard in Stars Hollow." While they weren't formally introduced to each other at the dinner, nor was there any exchange of dialogue between them, there weren't that many people there to make it plausible neither of them would have any recollection of even seeing the other there, especially since the stills I've found from the dinner look like Luke and Paris were sitting across from each other at the table, too...

How about Luke calling Emily by her first name at the funeral and then Mrs. Gilmore later?

That was Daniel P and Amy P not talking to each other. Terrible continuity. I also felt that DP's episodes were more "off" character wise than Amy's. Not that Amy's were good; Daniel's were simply more bad.

It's bad enough that co-producers don't communicate but they are married! It's crazy that the continuity is so terrible. Even in the OS Emily told Luke to call her by her first name. I agree, Amy's are better but I was still left feeling unfulfilled :(

These were different situations.  I can understand why Luke would call her Emily at Richard's funeral, but revert to Mrs. Gilmore when she barged into his diner uninvited.  And the fact that Emily told him to call her Emily doesn't mean he always does it.

They were on a first-name basis in the original series.

The use of Mrs. Gilmore was simply a mistake.

Season 1, not sure of the episode number but it's the one with Rory's first dance.

Sookie comes in carrying a white takeout bag of Mexican food, tacos and burritos, as Lorelai has injured her back.

Sookie accidentally blasts her eyes with hairspray while trying to help Rory with her hair.

Rory brings hairspray over to Lorelai on the couch.  Lorelai tells her to protect the tacos.

Rory puts bag of food under coffee table.

Sookie asks a question from the kitchen.  Lorelai tells Rory to go help Sookie.

Doorbell rings, Emily has arrived and and wants to take pictures of Rory before the dance.

Lorelai calls Rory out for pictures.

Rory emerges in her formal dress, Doc Martens, napkin stuffed into her neckline, munching a taco.

But...are they magical flying tacos?  Because that bag of tacos and burritos was, just 2 minutes earlier, stuffed under the coffee table.  There were *no* takeout tacos in the kitchen.

Not sure why but this scene just drives me crazy whenever I watch this episode.

A Woman of Questionable...

Lorelai is on her snow hate rant and while one the phone with Rory she is swapping out buckets from a presumable leaking roof.  However, that's a two story house.  So unless the snow on the roof was melting, flooding an upstairs room and leaking through the floor (or the bathtub was overflowing although that isn't snow related) this makes no sense.

This one pertains to the revival...

At the end of Spring, after her interview with "Sandy Says", Rory has a (ridiculous) hissy fit and throws out two of her three phones. Yet, at the beginning of Summer, just before April enters her room to speak with her, she's plugging in one phone to charge and picks up the other to check Logan's message. Did we forget that she just threw out her additional phones or did it not stick and she bought another one?

Rory's Dance, Dean and Rory have slept together all night in Miss Patty's Dance Studio.  There's snow on the ground as Rory shoelessly runs home.  According to Miss Patty, it's 5:30 in the morning.  I'm sorry, but at that stage of winter, the sun doesn't come up until after 7:00 or even later.  There's no way there's that much sunlight at 5:30 on a cold winter morning.

Yep. She actually has all 3 of her phones in the scene. Could they have added the phone tearing up later and didn't want to reshoot the bedroom scene? It's weird because the unplugging the phone scene could have been cut. They could have just started when she sits down looking at the phone with Logan's Voice mails.

Once I caught this one I cannot unsee it.  (I feel like a perv for having noticed this one- but things are far more visible when you get a 46-inch hi def TV.). Lorelai has a bit of a wardrobe malfunction in the season 5 finale- as Richard tells her that Rory will drop out of Yale and move into the pool house- the camera slowly zooms in on her and she's wearing this low cut v-neck dress and there it is.  In the next scene as she watches Rory move in it's gone so she must have adjusted herself but how does something like that make it past editing?  That little slip is also shown in previews for subsequent episodes.

It's really there! It's kinda proportionally large, so I wanted to say it's just a covering like some people wear when a bra isn't appropriate, but I'm really not sure. Definitely shouldn't be in either an episode or a preview.

Not so much a blooper but a major incongruity.

Why wasn't Luke at Sookie's wedding?  That made no sense at all.

I agree. He was good friends with Jackson. He should have been there. Maybe it was because he was in a fight with Lorelai at the time but he still should have been there. Surely he would have been invited.

I think the only time he really had an issue was in cooking "duels"!  Otherwise they seemed to get along fine.  I always loved it when they hugged after Sookie found out about the kiss.

Omg yeah! That was the sweetest thing! :) And I loved in Cinnamon's Wake when he let her put her food around his food. :)

My theory is the writers were unable to write the complex scenario of Lorelei having sincere feelings for Christopher with Luke around.  Easier to be lazy and leave him out of it.

Rory grabs a taco out of the bag before running into the kitchen

In "Forgiveness and Stuff":

At the hospital Lorelai said to Emily that she and Luke were not on a date to which Emily replied too bad or that's a shame.

Later on Emily has always disapproved of Luke.

And called them “idiots” for only being friends! I thought that was weird too.

Emily never approved of Luke for Lorelai, she just noticed that they seemed to be more than friends and realized early on they could get together.  She called them idiots because they kept saying they were friends when it was so obvious there was more there, not because she wanted them together.

Quote

EMILY: I don’t know what happened. He was hot and he went to turn down the thermostat and then - [see Luke] were you on a date?
LORELAI: What?
EMILY: You have an escort?
LORELAI: No, it’s Luke, Mom.
LUKE: Which is her way of saying we weren’t on a date.
LORELAI: I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.
EMILY: Well how am I supposed to know you weren’t on a date. It’s Friday night and you show up here with a man.
LORELAI: With Luke, Mom.
EMILY: It’s not insane to assume a date was involved.
LORELAI: You’re right, ok, it’s entirely possible that I was out on a date.
LUKE: Just not with me.
LORELAI: I was eating at Luke’s when I got the message. He gave me a ride, end of story. Is Dr. Reynolds here?
EMILY: Yes, Joshua got her a while ago. He was supposed to come back the minute he knew something but he hasn’t been back yet.

From That Damn Donna Reed:

Quote

EMILY: This man was at Rory's birthday party, he came to the hospital with you, he's the male lead in every story you tell, you go to the diner every single day. I've seen the way he looks at you, the way you look at him. I'm not a fool.
LORELAI: Mom, please.
EMILY: Why do you treat me like I don't have a clue in the world as to what is going on in your life? Now I'm asking you, as a favor, if you have any respect for me at all as your mother, just tell me. Do you have feelings for this man?
LORELAI: I don't know. Maybe I do. I haven't given it much thought. Maybe I do.
EMILY: Thank you. I'm glad you were finally honest with me. Now we can discuss what on earth you could possibly be thinking. Don't forget the ice.

I like this thread, but it seems like it could be part of the Nitpicking thread.

Perhaps.  But I think of bloopers as mistakes (inconsistencies in continuity as above) whereas nitpicking is for things that are incongruous (such as 40 different breakfast foods on a table set for three).

Sure.  I get that.  But there seems to be a lot of timeline and continuity stuff discussed on Nitpicking.

It kind of encompasses both.

Also, you've never eaten breakfast at our house.  Come on over!

1.) how is Lorelai's bedroom the only other bedroom in the whole house? if you look at pictures of the house it doesn't seem right

2.) did they change the layout of her whole second floor, in the episode where Paris is freaking out about her date with Tristin she goes over to Rory's to ask for help and Rory gives her some clothes to borrow, she goes to try them on in the bathroom which is not connected to Lorelai's room at all but at the end of the hall. I get that the remodeled but people don't normally just move their bathrooms right? that seems stupid expensive.

3.) What happened to Rory's job? she worked for it, it was supposed to be her like return to the real world and finally focusing on her goal but the next episode ( and the rest of the show ) acts like it never even happened, the first time I watched it I was like finally she really did this thing which she's always talking about but never really doing anything reach her goal of becoming a journalist, I think it was smart for the revival that they pretend that season 7 never happened.  (Even though they made Rory an idiot in the revival.)

4.) Rory is so stupid in the revival, like she is in this weird love triangle of cheating even though she had like a scarring experience in the OS which you would think would ward her off from cheating (Like seriously she cheated with dean and then logan cheated on her when will she learn) and she is bad at her job she used to be able to write thrilling pieces about lacrosse (Which the show constantly forgets she's written about it before.) and fascinating stories about the re-paving of a parking lot, but now she's falling asleep and oh yeah she cheats on like 3 people in the process and I mean Lorelai when you look at it is sad she never got married to luke which was her dream they never had any more kids which Lorelai has said many times she wants more of.

Alright, I need to stop before my head explodes.

Season 1...dunno which episode. Probably the “Lorelai geeks out about snow” one?

She and Rory are going ice skating. Luke actually takes her skates to sharpen the blades. Rory asks if Max could go with them.

Later Lorelai is talking to someone (maybe Sookie?) about why she’s breaking up with Max and one reason is that Rory wanted him to join the two of them for “roller skating.”

Uh, not the same.

The epi where Dean gives Rory the car and during the Richard and Lorelai argument scene, the pictures on the mantle keep moving and changing as Richard paces.  I've reached the point where I don't even pay attention to the dialogue, it's almost a drinking game when you notice a picture went missing then reappears.

Somewhere else here I mentioned that Luke's apartment had a bathroom early on off behind the kitchen (Rachel was developing photos in it) and then suddenly that whole part of the apartment disappears because a season later, Luke puts a sledgehammer thru this wall and that's when they "expand" the apartment.  Or take down paneling to reveal a room that had been there THE ENTIRE TIME.

I get ragey over dumb stuff.  These are two examples lol

The bathroom I think is still off the kitchen? Isn't that were TJ goes when he and Liz had a fight. I remember because Lorelai and Luke are making/eating dinner. And TJ is right there lol.
