MerBearHou February 14 Share February 14 Charming episode and such a unique idea with The Iris and Ioan being a witness. I, too, have had a little crush on him since “Come About” in Titanic. The slapstick stuff at the beginning w Elsbeth spraying herself, walking around with one eye closed, and running into walls went on too long. Cute stuff with the very shy, handsome morgue guy and Kaya — sweet, slow development which I love watching. The bad guy was obvious but that’s OK. 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151863-s02e11-tiny-town/#findComment-8580492
Popular Post voiceover February 14 Popular Post Share February 14 It is a truth universally acknowledged: many men look better as they age. Ioan Gruffudd is one of them. Holy Mother a’ God. A Welshman affecting a Scottish brogue; and with that beard! those lines! that twinkle! And when he kissed Carrie, I am not ashamed to say I shrieked like a 10-year-old at her first Osmond concert. tv echo February 14 Share February 14 I also like Ioan Gruffudd. I hope Angus returns. Good chemistry with Carrie Preston. (Unlike, say, Ioan's lack of chemistry with Jessica Alba in Fantastic Four.) The beginning scene with Elsbeth and Angus pantomiming to each other was cute. Angus singing to Elsbeth was cute. The reveal of Angus' profession was cute. Lots of cute moments in this episode. 10 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151863-s02e11-tiny-town/#findComment-8580649

I kept expecting the perfume eye-spray to have a punchline or be related to a clue, but no. It went nowhere. I wonder if there was a longer version where the perfume-in-the-eye was more important to the story, and where the fireman reveal had a buildup. Kara kept warning Elsbeth about hot Scot being a musician; maybe there were a couple of cut lines something like: "What's wrong with being a musician?" "Well, it's not like being someone who's there to save you from a fire." Or even Elsbeth saying to Kara's objections to musicians as boyfriends: "Oh, I don't know. I've always been attracted to musicians and firemen." Maybe they cut the glue holding the dialog together in favor of keeping all the romantic moments filmed between Elsbeth and Angus through the camera. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151863-s02e11-tiny-town/#findComment-8580977

When Elsbeth was in protracted pain from spraying herself in the eye, I couldn't understand why she didn't run to a bathroom to flush her eye with water. A tissue won't help. In the murderer's office, Elsbeth's many bags were kind of a detriment, since she had to fumble through all of them to find her phone ("kind of" since the phone was dead and the murderer didn't fall for her fake conversation). We've never seen that before. 5 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151863-s02e11-tiny-town/#findComment-8581017

Yeah No February 15 Share February 15 (edited) My eyes are reeling from all the eye candy on this show lately. First Kaya's morgue guy roommate, now loan. Wowza! 🥰😍 I thought this was a fun, creative episode, although I agree that all of Elsbeth's fumbling with her eye issue went on too long and got in the way of the rest of the episode. When Elsbeth and Kaya were talking with the suit guy they were standing on the plaza of the Chase Bank building in the Financial District. I recognized it right away because the Treasury building is right across the street. I go way back with that street because my mom worked in the Chase building when I was a kid. I didn't mind the flirting between Elsbeth and Angus but I don't think they were quite ready for that kiss. But yeah, it's Valentine's Day so I guess I'll roll with it, lol. I also knew who the culprit would be right away. A bit of suspense would have been nice.
