Galileo908 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago (edited) Laughed at Barbara telling the "thought the racist uncle was dead" story TO Melissa. Man, everyone is getting nice with O'Shon except Jacob. And of course Melissa still goes to school without him. And Barbara will be a dream team with him, but will not grab a drink with him. Dang. Of course Gregory wants the kids to drink regular milk over chocolate, while Mr. Johnson pushes the chocolate milk because he's against Big Coffee because he thinks it stunts growth. I feel for everyone dealing with school in the era of zoom and hybrid classes. I graduated college 15 years ago, it's all weird to me. I did like one of the Goofballs meeting virtually, and Jacob and Barbara's celebration over why their students keep getting distracted. I really liked the solution with the party bus. It was so cute how the kids were into it. Janine finally became Miss Frizzle. I laughed at the horn being the Vengaboys "We Like To Party" (Janine was definitely channeling those old Six Flags commercials lol) "You're not a kid." "That's not a grown up!" JeanJean 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago I think Janine had a Barbara moment! Near the beginning, when she said, "the music of the spheres" and then added a musical flourish. Very Barbara! 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8561625
Annber03 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago That bus is certainly one way to deal with the issue of getting students to school :D! I like how Janine was wearing some of the party stuff from the bus in one of the camera interview bits, LOL. I also like how we can sympathize with both sides here - I too want the union to stand strong, and I also feel for Janine and the teachers in general as they try and deal with a shortage of students and try to do the remote learning thing and all that. Jacob and Barbara with their students was so good. I also like Gregory and O'Shon hitting it off. I'd be all for seeing more of them interacting in general. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8561665
kathyk2 11 hours ago Share 11 hours ago This was my favorite episode of this season. The kids were great especially Lila. I wonder if Chloe and Hazel are really sisters they looked alike. There was an article in the Boston Globe about older siblings helping younger siblings with schoolwork at the start of Covid and this episode reminded me of those times. I love Gregory and Janine being drama free. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8561956
possibilities 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago I liked it better when Melissa and Jacob were enjoying living together, sharing tv shows they both liked, etc. I really don't like the way a lot of shows will choose one character to bully. Even Janine has been taking part in the ganging up on Jacob. They used to be best buds! And she used to never be unkind to anyone, ever. I like her growth, but this isn't particular behavior isn't growth. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8561989

He kept talking to the bus driver even though the driver wasn't paying attention to him. Melissa is trying to set boundaries with Jacob. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8562002
Blakeston 10 hours ago Share 10 hours ago I'm not sure why Melissa felt it was scabbing to pick up adults, but not to pick up children. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8562004

peeayebee 56 minutes ago Share 56 minutes ago My favorite scene was when Gregory's class was having lunch. It was funny seeing the at-home kids on the tablets eating. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8562167

It's one of those storylines where you aren't really supposed to think too much about it. I'm more worried about Melissa's class. She seemed entirely checked out from teaching to focus on watching the strike on her phone. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151511-s04e11-strike/#findComment-8562186
