My mom and I both going, 'WHOA!" at the same time when Witney leapt into Danny's arms.

That was very interesting. My eyes are trying to adjust from all the pink :p.

(I still have yet to see the Barbie movie. I am woefully behind on this stuff.)

I recommend you Google Ryan Gosling Oscars and I’m Just Ken.  Great performance….you'll feel the Kenergy.

I will definitely look it up :D. I would like to see that movie, I just...am not caught up on so much of what's out there in general, LOL.

I LOVED that dance from Chandler. That black and white section in particular was cool

I did not know that about Chandler and Brandon making history like that. Wow.

Apparently it had been more important that Joey was the first Bachelor in the finals.   And they conveniently left out that part of the reason for this was the lack of black pros.    They have had a number of great black dancers, but few black pros to match them with.

And only 3 stars going on tour?

They always leave so little  time for the winner(s)

Alfonso: *Tells the judges to hurry along with their comments 'cause they're running short on time*

The show: So hey, let's take a few mintues to show a package of everyone's family members and friends and so on talking about how proud they are of them.

Very happy with results. I figured when they moved everyone to finals last week it was because TPTB favs were in bottom. I was not shocked at all by this outcome. Had a feeling all season Chandler wasn’t getting the votes they wanted her to get.  Joey and Ilona exemplify why I watch DWTS; non dancers who learn and have fun on the show.
I love how close all the partners were, especially Steven/Rylee and Ilona and—-ack, I’m blanking, Alan?

I figured Joey was going to win.  I think the tennis racks were a bit awkward for even the pros to dance with but great song choice.

I enjoyed the Gymnastics in Stephon’s freestyle.  I’m not huge fan of the Barbie songs, but great idea.

The concept for Ilona’s freestyle was great.  She was an actress and dancer tonight.  She looked amazing as well.

I like that Chandler and Brandon celebrated being the first black couple to make the finale, and I enjoyed their freestyle.  I knew she wasn’t going to win, but making history is not too bad.  Honestly, there’s no telling when that will happen again.  Anyways, Brandon came through on the freestyle, well done.

Meant to say earlier, thanks for linking this, too. That was fun. I loved the audience singing along, and the Slash guitar player coming in halfway through, LOL.

(Also, the guitar player in the white shirt was kinda cute :p.)

The guitar player in the white shirt was Mark Ronson.   He is a big time music producer, co-writer of the song and Meryl Streep’s son in law.

Oh, wow, okay, thanks! Didn't recognize him, but then again, it's been some time since I saw what he looked like. Neat.

Did not know he was Meryl Streep's son-in-law. Today I learned...

I'm happy Joey won - he was my choice pretty much from the getgo.  One of those guys that looks more striking when dancing than when listening to judges.  Loved his amazing ability to lead and his musicality.

I wasn't unhappy about the order in which they went out and I was really really happy they told us what the order was.

I was a little under impressed by Derek and Mark's tango - which was unexpected.  Partly the constantly swooping camera angles -- when I've seen men dance the tango together before, the cameras haven't been swooping around them like a third partner and I've been much more impressed.

I'd be happy if Sharna or Mark replaced CAI.  I'm sick to death of both her and Bruno.  Bruno just needs to tone the eff down.

I did throw almost half my votes to Chandler and was happy to have done so when I saw their freestyle.  In fact, all the freestyles were very good, although Joey and Jenna disappointingly lacked some lustre.

Overall a nice bunch of people dancing this season and a lovely top bunch.  Everyone went out in approximately the order they should have and I loved some of the tweeks, such as Alfonso and Julianne dancing etc.

Well… Jenna still can’t choreograph a freestyle. Joey won it in his body of work and innate charm tonight. That freestyle showcased Jenna and tennis rackets more than him. He was my fav the whole season, so I’m thrilled for him!

Based on how tonight went, I think he was ahead the whole time. They threw as many 10s at Chandler as they could and she came third. Makes me think she really was in danger of going home last week, and maybe most of the season.

Stephen’s freestyle was fantastic! Congrats to him and Rylee on a magnificent ending, and it was great seeing Lindsey be so proud of her little sis!

Ilona and Alan have a beautiful partnership. Their dances tonight were her best ever. Alan knows how to choreograph a freestyle. He made Ilona shine. I would have been fine with them winning. That’s what the show is all about.
Danny never improved from week 1. He was fine but definitely a Ken doll lmao. That freestyle was more about Whitney! Sorry but that was a blatant marketing move with no real connection to Danny and, while it was entertaining, I don’t think the audience bought it. You could smell the inauthenticity.

Chandler’s freestyle was about as good as Joey’s - which is to say it didn’t blow me away. She’s a gorgeous dancer but I never got a sense of her as a person. I also never felt any connection to Brandon. I always felt like he was chasing her around the ballroom. I enjoy him a lot as a pro, so I’m hoping to see him win it one day. I think it’ll have to be with a non-ringer.

No excuse for giving Joey and Jenna 10 seconds of reaction time with 3 hours of filler. Do better, ABC.

how do we get carrie ann replaced next season?

Chandler and Brandon should be so proud of themselves They didn't win the trophy but they won America's heart

I don't  see where Chandler "won America's heart." If any competitor did, it was Stephen.

Chandler can have her mirror ball trophy which she rightfully deserves but Ilona is my winner of the night.

And Joey??

Overall this was a terrible show and I wished I never invested the time.

The Mango was a bust. The choreography wasn't very good, no Argentine would ever stand alone and dance in frame that's such a ballroom thing and the ending was more Paso. So if Derek wanted to be edgy he needs to go study the Gauchos instead of appropriating the culture.  A big miss

On finale night the guy who never corrected his terrible footwork mistakes all season long does two gawd awful dances and walks away the winner. Good going Joey way to keep the white male privilege going for the Bachelor thirsty crowd.

I really can't stand this show anymore. I took a break for a few seasons and hoped for the best when I started to watch again. I was hoping the Gen z audience could see through the bs but  turns out they are just as terrible as the older demographic. Well good for them they have made sure that any black female who has any dance training will be hounded. Seems they are would rather be  entertained by mediocrity.

But the best is the on line racism as soon as Chandler and Brandon announced their all black freestyle. That's one for the history books.  So of course combine that with Carrie Ann robbing this team of at least two other  perfect scores this season there was no way this team could surpass the hate onslaught as  it was a weekly take down

On a night of the only team getting perfect scores,   3rd is not only a disappointment that no white team with perfect scores would ever be placed, even with the dreaded dance experience, it's a "you better know your place in the white world Chandler and Brandon" kind of letdown. Not unexpected of course. But oh so tiresome.

Brandon choreographed one of the best Jives I've seen on this show.. Before that jive I was numb with boredom, thank heavens for their excellent dancing because even the bumpers were terrible. I also enjoyed the freestyle and its significance to the dance community and the culture. Something meaningful for once!

I was not entertained by Stephen revisiting the pommel horse yet again in a gym freestyle, a type  of routine that was already imagined in Season 15 with gym team mates, nor did I care about  a bunch of tennis rackets lighting up, or  a stiff Ken or a towering Ilona with a bunch of tiny dancers.

So in the wake of one of the worst finals ever,  I'm taking a break from this  shitshow that I used to love.

There is far too much  hate that is reflected in the seemingly innocuous comments I read. I hurt for Chandler and Brandon they get this stuff on the daily but it still must sting more than a little
