Divorced from his first wife, then he was with Kathy for 9 years and was engaged to her but never married her.

Nine years? He is never get married to Joan.

I read that they were waiting until his kids went off to college, then she died before they had a chance to marry.    Correction….they both had kids and she pushed to wait.

I think I'll be skipping the next Bachelor.  I am not excited by the guy (forget his name) and seeing the previews of the girls cat-fighting was boring.

I said to my husband, ooh I wonder if they are gonna get a trip to Italy?!  Ha ha, Disney World with all the kids and grandkids.  That could be a real test of the relationship!  Well, Disney owns ABC, so ...

Joan's son looked kind of like as asshole to me.  Re him saying the kids and grandkids are everything to her (she gives her all), visiting them every day -- maybe he agrees with the current VP-elect who believes the purpose of post-menopausal women is to help raise grandkids.

After watching grown men with actual vocabularies, I’m not excited to watch The Bachelor or ‘ettes anymore.🤔 Maturity is much more entertaining.

You hit the nail on the head.  Bingo.  Money talks, bullshit walks.  I was surprised she wears hi heels with no backs.  She even wore heels in the pouring rain.

And do you remember her one on one dune buggy (or ATV) date with Chock - she was in an all white pantsuit, with heels!  Who wears all white while speeding thru dirt??

Who expects to have their married kids over for dinner every Sunday?  Ridiculous.  They have a life of their own .. kids sports, etc.  Husbands have chores and maybe want to relax and watch a game or whatever.  A little selfish of Joan to take up their day off.

I don’t think they look that happy sitting there, especially Chock.

I like to think that ten minutes earlier they had just had an argument over why Pascal dumping her shook her to the core.

Yeah...she went from pretty and looking kind--to surgically beautiful and a bit harsh.  I wouldn't have considered "harsh" if I hadn't seen the BEFORE photo.

I don't see "surgically beautiful" at all, but agree on harsh, which is what came to mind the second I saw her next to Nancy, who has a real face.

Its honestly super wholesome and it makes me want to watch a Golden Paradise where everyone just hangs out and has fun.

I don't know.  I wonder if this was like the first season of The Real World, where the people were going into uncharted territory, and all the subsequent ones were just...different.  I loved watching the men hang around with each other (the women from Gerry's season not so much), but I worry that they'd be too aware of the cameras to get that magic back.

Look at Charles, who started putting shoe polish on his hair, when he was a very handsome salt-and-pepper fellow before.  That disappointed me.

I don't recall any of her family complaining about the weekly dinner.  Maybe they even enjoy it?

Didn’t Joan tell Guy after meeting his family that she could picture a life with him? I thought she told both Chalk (I am going to call him that, because I find him as appealing and desirable as a piece of chalk) and Guy, and maybe even Pascal. Or did she only say that in an interview?

If she did, I can see why Guy thought that she was going to choose him.
