Such love after seven weeks?

Less time than that.  Gerry’s season took 30 days to film, so I would expect this to be similar.

Did her son really say she has 4 kids that she needs to give her all to?  I mean, they are grownups and shouldn’t need her all, as if she is still raising them.

Could be that’s why they wanted her on the show…get her out of their hair.

If Chock is as rich as they say he probably figures he could buy a better vacation.

I agree. The smile is strained. They both seem tense. I'm going to predict a wedding will never happen.

Gerry and Theresa were going to get a deluxe Italian honeymoon. Joan and Chock are going to Disney World, with a bunch of kids in tow.

Like Chock wants to go to Disney with the whole Gang.  Yeah, ok.

I am tired of the wide mouthed expression Joan uses whenever she enters a room or sees somebody. I don't think the audience was charmed by this couple like they want us to be.

It reminded me of Amy Poehler’s Hillary Clinton impression on SNL during the 2012 campaign.

I hated the way Joan dumped Guy, but was not at all surprised she ended up with Chock. It was obvious from the time they went on the one-on-one date to Disney, and the editing made them seem like a couple who had been together for weeks already.

Chock looked like he wanted out of there.  He was sitting and gripping Joan's leg with a very gruff look on his face.  I think he is very controlling with Joan.

ABC said "we're not making that mistake again!" 😂

Nancy is stunning both inside and out. She should be the next Golden Bachelorette, if she wants it. Or send her to Golden Paradise. She's such a catch!

Joan didn't even give Guy a chance. Chock promised her an apartment in NYC and that was a wrap. She likes the love-bombing. Meanwhile, Chock spent the entire season treating this "journey" for love like a competition.

Guy can and will do better.

And I think the reaction from the mansion guys in the audience toward Guy vs Chock speaks volumes.

Boy, Joan’s son did NOT look impressed with Chock or the whole process!

I think Guy had a lucky escape. I find him very attractive. but doubt he’ll end up as the next Golden Bachelor, he’s too reserved I bet. Didn’t really show a super dynamic personality - which is fine, but doesn’t make for the best “on the most shocking rose ceremony ever!”

Did Joan’s audition include demonstrating that she could cry on cue? ‘Cause she can sure turn those waterworks on and off as needed.

I think Guy is good looking, he won't have trouble meeting women and perhaps finding his special someone.
I think Chock and Joan have something, that I never saw with Gerry and Theresa. It's obvious they have talked a lot, and kept those lines of communication open.( A place in NY?) I really  do wish them all the very best. Joan seems  very relaxed  and happy  to have love  in her life again. When Chock left for awhile, she missed him, I think that said a heck of a lot. Fingers crossed  for these two.

Shocking no one (aside from Guy, apparently), Joan chooses Chock. I guess it was nice that she didn’t put Guy through the rigmarole of meeting her family, picking out a ring, and attempting to propose. I even felt bad for Chock meeting the kids. Granted, we only saw an abbreviated version of their meeting, but all they showed us was the kids also talking about their dad and Chock having to reassure them he’s not trying to replace their dad—as if they were sulllen teenagers and not grown-ass adults! They didn’t even ask him one question about himself (that we saw). I know we’ve been kind of down on Chock for being kind of smarmy constantly trying to reassure Joan he’s just going to love her and always leave room to respect John, etc., but let’s be real—Joan (and now her kids) wanted, and even asked for, that constant reassurance. It was annoying to us as viewers, for the most part, but they are definitely clicking in what might be a codependent relationship. But, hey, if they make each other happy, that’s between them. I do tend to think of course out in the real world when Chock has to balance his business and life in Kansas and isn’t putting his all into Joan, she’ll become disillusioned because she expects to be put on a pedestal—as she told us many times that’s how John treated her.

Thanks for doing the math for us, Chock.

I thought that was so strange. When have you ever heard an adult say that? It brought me back to childhood when you'd say something like "I'm 7-1/2."

"60, going on 61" is a locution usually meaning thisclose to the next birthday.

I found my term, speaking of words, to describe Joan: brittle. Even her annoying voice sounds like it's on its metaphorical last legs.

What can I say? Joan and Chock (I could not abide saying that name, sorry, not sorry) seem more Country Club/Golf/Cruises/"Real Housewives" style than is my milieu.

Me too.  All kidding aside, her dress was gorgeous.  All her clothes were top notch.  The scene near the water was beautiful.  All the guys were crazy for her.  She was understanding and made things about them.  I felt bad for the Doctor tho.  He was beside himself crying and all.  Damn.  Wonder where they will live.  I read he’s a big shot business man in his state.  If she really loves him, she will move there, but I doubt it.  Big decision.  Move there and live the high life,or stay home and see your kids every minute.

I saw an article somewhere (half asleep at the time). It said they're getting an apartment in NYC (both have dreamed of living there), but that Chock still has a business to run in Kansas and Joan "isn't leaving" her kids in Maryland, so it sounds to me like they will split their time in three locations.

I do think Joan is materialistic. Maybe that's why her hubby got himself into legal trouble, he was trying to maintain a rich image. Chock knew giving her a "key" to a NY apartment would win her over. Her son struck me as being a bit snooty too.

Maybe she figured out Gerry was broke and that was part of her reason to leave his season.  😂

As soon as Chok said he would buy an apartment in NYC for them I was like “sold American”! Her eyes lit up and poor Guy didn’t stand a chance as I don’t think he understood the assignment. LOL. Chok still gives me the ick, but I do hope it works out. The wardrobe department hit all the right notes with her this week!

This was kind of anticlimactic - I think it was telegraphed from the time Chock returned from his mother's deathbed that he was "the one". I feel bad for Guy, but I do think she did the right thing by going and letting him down as easily as she could. But Chock is just so creepy to me. He sounds so smooth it's phony and when he tilts his head down and looks intensely at Joan he looks like a sociopath. Good luck to them I guess. I see no announcement of a giant tacky tv wedding this time, just a trip to Disney with the fam. ABC learned their lesson from last time!

Can't wait for the announcement of who the next GB is! I would love Guy. I'm not as excited about Charles or Pascal or Mark.

Joan and Chock living in different states and meeting up occasionally in NY won’t make for a successful marriage. Joan wants someone to have dinner with and sleep with every night. I liked Guy better than Chock but he wasn’t as forceful as Chock.

I am only thirty minutes in, but Chock is really creeping me out. If Joan chose anyone else, I could totally see Chock stalking her.

I’d be afraid to sleep with him.   Wonder what she looks like without the face foundation, eyelashes and fake hair, lol.  My husband asked what those “crinkles” on her face are.  She wears lots of foundation.

You hit the nail on the head.  Bingo.  Money talks, bullshit walks.  I was surprised she wears hi heels with no backs.  She even wore heels in the pouring rain.

No real shocks here, obviously Chock was going to be the one Joan would pick, he's been her number one since almost the first day, and him running right back after his mom died just sealed the deal. I didn't think they were exactly glowing with happiness together, but I can see how they would work given what we have seen from them. Joan wants someone to prioritize her and treat her like a queen, complete with lots of fancy clothes and trips, and Chock wants to be the alpha guy who he can show off, and they can do that for each other. I can see that not ending the way they want it to, but it seems like this is the vibe they're looking for.

Its kind of funny watching Joan have this huge existential crisis about how she's so unlovable after Pascal told her that he wasn't in love with her, only for her to do the exact same thing with Guy.

Poor Jessie tried so hard to make that football plug sound natural, but nothing could stop it from being this seasons most awkward product placement, and that is saying something.

The real highlight of the season really hasn't so much been Joan's "journey to find love" so much as "'a bunch of older men become besties".

I doubt they will get married.

Can anyone confirm how many times Chock has been married?  Is it two times?

He kept talking about "Kathy" his wife that passed, yet I thought I read that he gets along with his ex-wife that is the mother of his kids?

Yes to all of this! And you are so right about Joan and Guy vs. Pascal and Joan! So I guess by her logic, Guy is unlovable now! That whole boo-hoo session with Nancy was ridiculous, but I guess they needed some filler since she cut Guy's time with her family.

And yes that football advertisement was so weird I didn't even understand it was a pitch for college football until he was almost done with his spiel - I was like "are they sending Chock and Joan to some football game?" 😂

Forgot to add that the real advertisement was for Tahiti tourism - that place looks so gorgeous! I want to go to there!!!!!

Joan also dumped Mark (I think? or Keith) prior to letting Guy go, so she did the same thing twice to other men as Pascal did to her once! Crazy.

I can see how Chock bothers people but he doesn’t seem all that overall terrible to me and Joan never seemed to indicate even non-verbally that he was being aggressive or trying too hard. She’s always been comfortable with him and said how safe she feels etc. I’m not saying they’ll be together in 10 or 15 years but they seem content for now.

Divorced from his first wife, then he was with Kathy for 9 years and was engaged to her but never married her.
