I bought 2 formal gowns on eshakti. They are gorgeous. I have an order in for 2 outfits for events in the fall. They are slow so even though they say a few weeks, its more like a few months. I bought a dress off the rack and by the time I had it tailored it doubled the price. Eshakti customs it for you for a pittance.

I have bought so many things at eshakti! I have noticed that they are much slower to ship in the last year or so. I live in terror that they'll be sold or change management and the quality and service will go downhill. I love them so much. I'm a boho/hippie girl and I always find something pretty and unique there.

Can we do a theater weekend?

I am always game for a theater performance with very few exceptions.  I will NOT be seeing the Swan Lake as staged by Boston Ballet next year, I am not sure my psyche can handle that.

Okay, did either of you Boston theater-goers see Thirst at Lyric Stage? It's the only one I meant to see this year and I missed it. Wonder if it was good!

I haven't...

I haven't, but I have been to a few things at the Lyric stage, never had a bad experience there. We saw "The Play That Goes Wrong" last fall and died laughing. I saw "Into the Woods" there a few years back and it was very very good.

I am not kidding  I was a Theater major. I need to watch live theater

I was a theater major for about five minutes. Alas, I was hampered by a lack of talent.

We should absolutely do a theater weekend! Can we meet up in NYC and do a few shows? Houseguest and I are kind of idly planning to do that sometime this fall anyway. Maybe we can expand to add a few Pounders!

That would be fun!  There are so many different options in NYC... including some very cheap or free ones being put up by organizations like Japanese-American Friendship Society, various consulates, etc. if you want to try something off the beaten track...  but even Opera, Broadway and Joyce can keep one very busy.  Wonder if the Lincoln Center Festival will be back to its pre-COVID glory anytime soon...

Pretty sure there's been more than one from New Jersey, but the only one I can think of was Robert who passed away before the episode finished.

Reading late. Also from NJ. I remember Gina from Tuckerton who did feeder porn. I think she was the one who knocked over a display of sunglasses with her scooter in the supermarket. Sadly, like Robert, she also passed away.

One of my best friends lives in Istanbul. He goes to the opera and symphony performances all the time, its incredibly cheap there. Talk about green with envy

Pepper! This is your big chance! Visit your friend in Turkey and take in the performances, then check into Shakinah and Sarper’s med spa for all kinds of procedures. Don’t forget to get your Turkey Unitooth!

@Pepper Mostly  We must be best friends.  I love going to the symphony and plays and I WISH they were more affordable and just down the block and I could go all the time!

But I've never been to the opera.  Bucket list!

My friend saw "Carmen" in Istanbul a few weeks ago, I was mad envious. I'm not really an opera person but I love "Carmen". My parents used to go see the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood every summer, my dad loved classical music and probably forgot more about it than most people know. I used to tend bar at a French restaurant in a ritzy apartment complex--Sarah Caldwell, who was the director of the Opera Company of Boston, lived there and used it as her personal corner store, calling down for milk and eggs!

I love love love live theater and I'm going every chance I get, now that I'm retired and can squander my meager income. Can't take it with me! There are a lot of options around here, so I'm lucky. STOMP! is touring and doing one night locally, tickets are a fraction of what I'd pay in Boston. We have the option of going to shows in Providence as well, we drove down and saw Hadestown and Les Mis and Come From Away last year. Surprise, Providence is cheaper than Boston too! I'd go every week if I could. Nothing beats a live show!

And I can think of nothing nicer than being your best friend! 😍
