Oh Lala,  if the guy will do it WITH you he'll do it TO you, dingleberry!  Waaayyy too much confidence in her "brain power".  I think let's give her a few years (Like 14) and THEN see where she's ended up.

I can almost guarantee she'll be having ANOTHER affair with ANOTHER semi-rich, semi-famous DUDE and she'll end up in the same place she is RIGHT NOW.  EXCEPT: she'll be OLDER and we won't be able to identify her face AT ALL.  Butterface.

I am kind of envious of Lala’s body. The breasts are much too large, but otherwise, she is stunning.

Raquel looked stoned at Hotel Ziggy. Her eyes were almost closed when she was talking to and pretending to smile at Peter.

The server didn’t ask Andi how she wanted her burger?

I enjoyed James sitting on packages of toilet paper again.

Who interviews without updating his/her/their résumé?

"Was It Worth It?". Raquel cozies up to Peter, Lala opens up about her relationship, James throws Raquel under the bus.

My viewing was interrupted by a long phone call so I missed most of it, but I think experienced entrepreneur Lisa Vanderbuck's friend (George?) pretty much summarized my feeling about the two Tom's handling of Schwartz and Sandy's as "not having a clue" and wasting time and money on stupid pointless things. Isn't the Daily Mail the UK version of TMZ

Peter was pretty bummed he can’t consolidate his direct reports anymore.

Katie really has that “Woe is me” act down.  Certainly Tom Schwartz never gave anyone the impression he’s willing to stand up for anything.

I think sometimes it's a battle for Schwartz to get the ambition to stand up at all.

Schwartz must have been motivated and confident at some point.  He came to California and did some modeling.  He just start going in a downward spiral of self doubt and lack of motivation.  That said, I always liked him and he should go to therapy if he isn’t already.  Although I’m sure it would be hard for him to open up.

I'm pretty sure Schwartz had a car of his own to get to California.

So they were working right up to the last minute, afraid they wouldn't be ready, before their "Daily Mail" party prior to actually opening.  Where have we seen this before?  Oh yeah, with the openings of Pump and Tom Tom 😄. What's the difference?  Here Lisa has to remind us that it's "her show" by including a segment of the other guy and her talking about what morons the Toms are.  I'm not saying it's not true, but she's a bitch.

Meanwhile, Schwartz seems much sadder than Katie about the divorce, but when she asks him if it was worth it he's all "I don't know . . . " - he doesn't have the gumption to go after anything.

Whatever happened to the Unapologetically Female Sandwich Shoppe?

See, that's why I have a hard time feeling any sympathy for Katie, even though Schwartz is a limped-dick, lazy so-and-so. As I recall, instead of pursuing her own dreams, she kept interfering in the Toms' business and creating conflict with Sandoval, during which her husband would take his side. Yes, I know they were a married couple, but Katie was not a part of this partnership and should have been developing interests of her own. She's a lazy, lazy cow and has been for ages, and never finishes anything she starts. Is she going to get alimony since he's a partner in two businesses? I'd be surprised if they had a pre-cup given how lazy they both are.

It's so ridiculous to blame the Schwartz and Sandy's venture for the divorce. Katie and Schwartz's relationship always sucked and they constantly fought long before any talk of the Tom's joint business deal. Hell, it sucked before the marriage! It may have been the icing on Katies cake but it was definitely not the reason for the divorce. It was the last straw for Katie and she wasn't willing to take second place with Tom any longer but it was not the reason and I wish they would stop saying that it was.

So on WWHL she and Lala said they are fucking younger guys and it's great. Ok. Have at it, ladies.

Is there something about Peter I'm missing? All the girls turn up their nose at him for some reason. I thought he was super sweet listening and then comforting Raquel at lunch while she's crying over what a mess her life is. The guy is good looking and actually has a good job so what's the issue with him?

Lala gets so upset every time someone tells the truth about how she got together with Randall and bring up how she could not see what scum he was. Truth hurts, huh Lala? Good for Lisa for having that talk with her and asking her what the heck she was thinking. She has no answers so starts to cry for sympathy instead of explaining why she is such a whore.

Regarding Peter... yes he comforted her and was nice but that was a means to and end for him... getting into her pants. To me he comes off creepy. I think he only seems like a decent human in comparison to the toxic waste dump of humans this cast mostly is.

Yes to this!!  I'm not willing to give Lala the benefit of the doubt, BUT, if I did and thought that perhaps Rand truly did hide his odious lifestyle somehow from her, it cannot excuse away the obvious.  This is a homely, homely man with I suspect an equally unappealing personality, that Lala would never have even looked at twice if he not afforded her a certain lifestyle.  She used him but it just didn't work out the way she had planned and she ended up being the one who truly got played.  She was a gold digger and she secured her payout with a baby.  Gross.  I feel no sympathy for her at all.  I do feel horribly for Ocean for the luck (unluck) of the draw with both her Mom and her Dad.

Absolutely.  It's going to be wash, rinse, repeat for this "bad bitch".

Who knew when she came on the scene that this would end up being the Raquel show.  Can I help it that I like the girl though?  But please, she needs to find a new hairstyle.  The way she's doing her hair makes her look like she has a pinhead.  Get a little volume up there!

I find Raquel charming too. Even though she's very dim, she seems so genuinely sweet. Ariana and Scheana seem so sweet and big sister-like with her. Also Raquel always has a tinge of sadness about her I can't quite place.

Katie has been hosting a podcast for the last few years and the show never showcased it.  She also stated that her and Tom had plans to do a sandwich shop or something together but with Tom Tom and now Schwartz and Sandy's interfered with that plan.  Not surprising because Sandoval runs their marriage and Schwartz always chose something with one of his male friends vs. his wife.  If Schwartz was seeking her out for advice during that process and then shutting her down and shitting on her because Sandoval was, that's on Schwartz. They literally asked her what she thought of the name, she said it was stupid (it is) and then Sandoval went after her because his ego can't handle anyone contradicting him.   Calling her a lazy cow is a bit of a stretch when the show never showcased what she was doing (working for Dear Media) and basically edited her to look like she was doing nothing when in reality she had a job.  They did have a pre-nup, and Schwartz was always gambling his money with Rand anyways so it's not like Katie would get any money out of Schwartz because he's broke and spent all his money on the bar and likely had to use the money from the selling of their house on the bar as well.  But as Tamra Judge would say. "That's my opinion!"

As for Lisa talking to the business owner and him saying they are buffoons (they are) The fact that Schwartz and Sandy's instagram is a dead zone as is their website.  The fact that the boys can't get their shit together to showcase their bar on social media.  Get their staff to create tiktok's all of those things is just lazy. Yeah their celebrity will get them a little clout with people wanting to visit their bar, but in reality they have zero concept of what they are doing and the one thing they could do very well, they just aren't doing.   If Sandoval can create tiktoks for his dumb cover band he could and should be doing it for the bar.

I think Peter would be better looking if he updated his style. He’s had this pony tail, scruffy beard, and too-tight, shiny, open shirt thing going for at least a decade (and you know longer, but we have no photographic proof)! He’s officially at the point where holding onto your heyday look just ages you and makes you look ridiculous. Raquel must look at him and think that, yeah, I thought Captain Jack Sparrow was kinda cool and cute when I was in elementary school! He was sweet to Raquel but also totally clueless—still doubling down that you said to keep it casual, so I got this new (shiny, too tight, open) shirt here instead of wearing a suit jacket. Come on, does he really  not get that she means keeping the “relationship” casual?!? But just like his style is set in the ‘00s, so is his dating mentality. He was just as confused when Lisa told him he can’t date (I.e., sexually harass) employees anymore. Though I did feel somewhat sorry for the guy after he was dumped and you could see him still just standing at the bar all by himself while everyone else was off filming their scenes. I’m not sure what happened that he stopped even being a “friend of” and invited to all of the activities over the last few seasons, but it made it even more sad that trying to date Raquel was his big storyline to get back on the show, and had he just stayed in the background I would have went on assuming he’s “too good” for this show. Now we see the cast doesn’t really think he’s “good enough” to even interact with them the way they were all snickering over the idea of Raquel dating him. He’s probably also somewhere close to 15 years older than her, so there’s that. But anyway, Peter only looked somewhat better in comparison by the way Raquel was crying that she’s completely washed up at 27 and has no purpose in life now that she can no longer compete in pageants! She was also crying that she had no way to support herself because James paid for everything. It felt like she was waiting for Peter to offer to make her a “kept woman” and when he didn’t is when she later decided to follow the advice to break it off. Anyway, I really did not mean to spend so much time on Peter. The first episode I was fixated on him, too. But I think I was fascinated because we haven’t seen him featured in years and pitied him that this is his big comeback. Should have stayed in the shadows!

It was sad watching the Bubbas talk about whether this place was “worth it.” I think all Katie wanted was to hear that it wasn’t and he regrets always putting her last—which he did throughout their entire relationship. But as always, he’s hemming and hawing and cannot have a firm stance on anything. Frankly, these two never should have gotten married in the first place. Also, frankly, Schwartz needs and wants a Sandoval to tell him what to do because he is unable to make decisions on his own. (If anyone watched Watch What Happens Live the other night with the Toms, then you saw that even when asked questions directly, Schwartz was constantly throwing it back to Sandoval: I don’t know. What do you think?) Katie was always fighting to be that person to control Schwartz, but I think this is what Katie meant that he never put her first. As his wife, if he was going to defer to anyone, it “should” have been her. But this long-standing dynamic between the Toms is as fully ingrained as Peter’s outdated style. The more things change, the more they stay the same. (See also: Lala’s shock over Randall’s “casting couch” when she was also a victim/beneficiary of his casting couch!)

That “interview” process….those clowns have no idea what they’re doing, and probably without the show S&S would probably close before it opened. Schwartz asking about his bucket hat?? Greg’s probably regretting the day he signed up for this gig. I LOL’d hard when he told Lisa that the Wonder Twins know nothing about the business. That was crystal clear when they were both playing around at the Daily Mail party. Greg will bail, Lisa will buy him out, and then continue to let the Toms think they’re in charge.

Still calling bullshit on Lala’s cluelessness about Rand. As Lisa said at the reunion, “How you got ‘em is how you lose ‘em.” Lala should have known better than go to Lisa looking for sympathy. No more PJs, but at least you’ll have BJs, dear.

Tom and Katie’s divorce is squarely all on Tom. God, I wish that guy would grow TF up. He chose Sandoval over Katie. Always. Full stop.

You’re not over it, James. Raquel, Peter is more into his job than he is you -LVP was about as subtle as a brick in that conversation.

Ken toting dogs around like Linus’s blanket still bugs after all these years. Sandoval needs to lose the ‘70s porn star look. For several reasons, LVP won this episode — on point in every scene she was in. 👍

Greg (Tom and Tom's partner) nailed it: the guys are clueless, like we said ourselves already. They have no business sense, and they liked people in the interviews who had no updated resumes, but flattered them instead. I doubt Greg is going to withdraw from the business because I'm sure he provided most of the capital. Lisa won't take over because it was not her project, and she has new restaurants/clubs in Las Vegas.

Tom and Katie had problems before the bar. The pandemic and the bar business exaggerated them. Tom Schwartz is Tom Sandoval's puppet, but Katie is not perfect either. Katie seems so much happier without him.

Who is Lala kidding about Randall?

Raquel told Peter that James more or less took care of her for five years. Was she not making pretty good money herself from being on the show, like James? IIRC, James had a hell of a time finding steady DJ jobs after Lisa canned him. He could barely take care of himself, and I think he was damn lucky the show kept him on. IRL, he was basically unemployed for most of that time. Raquel, again IIRC, was pretty steady at SUR.

Sad, too, how Raquel totally, seemingly forgot about his psychological abuse. I wish she could see that she’s way better off without James. She’s trying to convince herself of that, but girl, IT’S TRUE.

James has not grown up one bit, by what I’ve seen with him and Ally. He acts like a teenager. His thinking that he can drink with no consequence is another bad sign. If Lala  values her sobriety, as she says she does, she should not come anywhere near that wreck.

Raquel seems to be "dating", or hooking up with different guys from the show (Peter, Tom) to make sure she is filmed and to remain on the show.

I don't think she earned too much from the show. She was not part of the main cast until last season.

Don’t forget: (RHoBH) Garcelle Beauvais’s son, who worked at SUR or at one of Lisa’s other restaurants, though was not part of the VPR cast.

I'm a bit late to the game but here for Lala's much deserved dragging. I don't feel bad at all for the situation she's in. She's always been a smug asshole and treated those around her like they're inferior to her because they weren't riding around in PJs. Honey child I'd rather cross the ocean in a rowboat than have to lick Rand's asshole to get on a private jet.

She's always been terrible to Raquel (remember the clapping in her face "KNOW! YOUR! ROLE!"), made fun of Katie for being fat, was a total bitch to Billie when she was upset about feeling left out of "girls' night". How are these people still friends with her? I'm glad Sandoval spoke truth about her and doesn't let her bully him into being quiet.

The allegedly likable people are almost all for sale.  The only ones who only do what they want are the cooties like Sandy and James.

Oh, listening to Ronnie and Ben. I completely forgot that Ariana compared Raquel to Forrest Gump. They imagine her helping Bubba on his shrimp boat, trying to list the different ways to serve shrimp and only being able to list one.

LOVE Ronnie and Ben!  Their assessment of the cast is usually 100% and I appreciate their ideas of Lala vs Randal situation.  It's so easy for me to get confused and flip from side to side as to who is right and who is wrong.

They compare Lala/Randall to (RHoBH) Erika/Tom Girardi. They applaud LVP for chiding, “Dahling, how could you have not known?” And remark that someone really needs to step up and say the same to Erika.

But this comparison makes me feel more sympathy for Lala. She, at least, is reacting the way a human with a soul would react.

So now that the news of the Raquel/Sandoval affair has broken I’m super curious about the throwaway comment she made in her interview that Sandoval taught her about boundaries. What exactly was the context of that conversation? And what exactly was their relationship when it happened?

Rewatching with a new lens…

Raquel crying to Peter about being too old for pageants and not sure what to do next: “I just want to be single and live my life.” Talking about how James paid for everything and she’s on her own now and doesn’t know what to to.

Lisa giving Lala the third degree on how she possibly couldn’t know about Randall’s secret life. Along with the alleged crimes, he also cheated on her and moved in his new girlfriend 2 days after Lala left.

Tom and Ariana bringing furniture etc to Schwartz and Sandy’s for the Daily Mail party. Tom says, “I appreciate you coming with me.” Ariana replies, “Well I’m glad that I could because I feel like whenever I do see you it’s like you’re coming, I’m going, that’s it.” Then in the talking head adds, “My love language is quality time. I need to like go on walks, experience like new things together, and right now Tom and I’s (sic) idea of quality time is collapsing in the bed and passing out.”

Raquel: “I recently learned what boundaries are. Tom Sandoval said that I should set a boundary, and I said, what’s a boundary?”

The Toms talking about how Greg warned them that this business ruins marriages and makes people lose everything—basically predicting Schwartz’s predicament. Sandoval says in a talking head, “I understand how opening this bar put such a strain on Schwartz and Katie’s relationship. I mean, with Ariana and I we’re like ships passing in the night, but I’m just really grateful that she stuck by my side and hung in there because I don’t want to end up like Schwartz and Katie.”

James says he can’t put a timeline on falling in love. No regrets about immediately getting into a new relationship after calling off his engagement.

Lala says “Schwartz is on my shit list, but I like Tom Sandoval.” Really?! Because all you’re doing is saying how you never liked him.

Raquel to Scheana (immediately after Peter, who thinks they’re on a date steps away to get her a drink): “it’s just weird being by myself. I’m not used to that.”

Ariana to Katie: “I’m hoping that me and Tom can kind of like now that this is like a bit of a weight being lifted maybe now we can like spend some more time together. I would like to be romantic.”

Rachel in a talking head after breaking things off with Peter: “I was under the impression he was way more into me than this. Now my feelings are hurt.”

Sandoval is wearing his lightning bolt necklace again. This was obviously his signature look first (2 episodes in a row with nothing on Raquel). I’m thinking she just copied him not that these were secret BFF necklaces.

Never before seen footage has Sandoval and Ariana kissing. He says, “I know I’ve been into this whole situation and I just really appreciate—“ She jumps in, “it would really be very selfish of me to not allow you to fully focus on this to see this happen to come to fruition.” Then in a talking head, “Sacrificing things with our time and our relationship is not something that I really want. But seeing Schwartz and Sandy’s and knowing it will be a success that to me makes it worth it.”
