I'm impressed with the actor who played Craig because he actually sold that despite everything, he wanted it to work it with Leo. It would have worked as a nice sendoff. I also liked the Sonny deal they were working towards until Zac Tinker left.

Sloan mentioning to Jada about conflict of interest and doing her job for her was spot on.  Jada should not be anywhere near this case and she's really unlikable now. Then she goes to threaten Leo with jail? For whar?

This DNA test going on Sloan's swab instead of Kayla taking a real one from either or both of the father's is moronic.  They all deserve what Sloan did for being stupid. 

I also hope this story doesn't suddenly give a miracle baby that 50 yr old Nicole can carry to term now when she couldn't her entire life.

I thought Sloan wasn’t insecure. No need to tamper with the swab. Eric is not a huge prize. This is Salem and at some point, the real daddy will be revealed. And Sloan, no guarantee that Eric would have stayed with Jada. She could also have miscarried or both decided that a relationship was not the way to move forward and would just have coparented and Eric would still be with you. 

Right now, it is for the best that EJ is the father.

Xander’s Scottish breakfast did not sound that appetizing. I can see Gwen being nasty to Chloe. And yeah, Megan, Kristen marrying her nephew of sorts would not work well with a custody battle. Maybe Gwen will work for Dimitri. Or not.

Whelp, as I suspected, Sloan just used her own DNA.  I was REALLY hoping that, at last, they had a woman who was secure enough in HERSELF to know that she could handle anything and also secure enough in her relationship to play it straight.  

But nope, yet AGAIN, another woman doing shady things because she can't bear to "lose" some man.  If your relationship is that fragile, you're going to lose him anyway.  Again, I really don't see what makes Eric such a prize.  When has he ever done anything besides mope and judge.  Maybe the show is trying to imply that he's THAT good in bed?

I'm trying to decide if I liked Sloan's bitch move of telling Jada that Nicole was possibly pregnant with Eric's child (even though she knew she fixed the results.)  Jada HAS been more of a bitch to Sloan than necessary and, like Rafe, is trying to blame her because she thinks this somehow makes her sister look less guilty.

Biological sex is one of the most basic things a DNA strand can tell you about the submitter.  I know the Salem labs are bad but no way should a lab miss the DNA sample can't be from the sperm donor.

I wonder if I'd like Eric more if he wasn't played by Greg Vaughn.  GV has done alright in some lighthearted, even sexy scenes, with Sloan but otherwise he's mostly sullen or mopey or angry or accusatory or, my least favorite, "disappointed" in someone.

So either keep him mute and in boxers or get someone to play Eric who can lighten the F##$ up sometimes.

I'm with you all who think Jada has gone way over the top in her cop mode attitude lately.  Bad enough to have to listen to inept Rafe attempt to browbeat someone (though he does excel in the eye brow department) but lately Jada's using her badge to threaten people she doesn't like.  Even the despicable Leo doesn't deserve that, nor did Sloan, today.

Back to the eye brow situation, what the hell IS going on there?  Between Rafe's pointed Dracula look and those caterpillers crawling in all direction on Talia's face, Salem looks to be the first in an alien invasion by tiny invaders from the Planet Eye Brow.

ETA - regarding the take over the world" situation at the Dimera Manse for the Criminally Insane and Lousy Dressers, does Megan want the WHOLE world?  Can she maybe leave us Iceland and perhaps a few of the lesser Antilles?  Maybe toss in Paramus NJ, a cheese town or two in Wisconsin?  

At least let there be a few places left where a guy doesn't have to marry his aunt.  Especially an aunt in a minidress and thigh high boots.  There should be a limit.

Unconfirmed...but the camera cut away when she was supposedly swabbing Eric so...

Her swabbing herself is the most juicy choice for plot reasons.

Jada, Talia, Paulina, Chanel, Colin, Sloan, Abe. It's actually shocking that Shawn isn't related to anyone in that major storyline. It's also pretty cool that this is a major storyline with a mostly black cast propelling it. It's sad the storyline isn't better, but I think it's still a sign of progress.

The show actually does try to address this. Kayla tells Nicole she's too busy to look at the results because of the Abe and Colin emergencies. Nicole, who is not a medical professional, is shown reading the results. I'm not saying it's perfect, but the dialogue confirmed twice that Kayla never saw the results. The second time this is confirmed is in Kayla's office when Nicole tells Kayla the results.

I did like Chloe's dialogue today about the crimes Xander committed against her and others. I wonder if the show has completely forgotten about Xander kidnapping and faking Holly's death when Chloe was Holly's legal guardian. I also liked her talking about wanting to stay away from Kiriakis men.

I don't get what the show is going for with the Megan/Dimitri dynamic. I was hoping the show would go for gothic and unsettlingly incestuous (like Norman Bates and his mother). Instead, Dimitri feels kinda dumb, childish, and almost Stooge-like around Megan. A guy who manipulated the ISA, or whomever, to grant him, Kristin, and Megan immunity for various attempted murders, kidnappings, poisonings, etc. doesn't seem like a guy who would have qualms marrying a stranger for a trust fund, presumably worth millions of dollars. 

I'm honestly just curious what Dimitri (Von Lechner) and Stefan (Alamain) dynamic would be. Isn't there some long-running feud between the families? Sadly, I think the show will just go for the boring "Dimera Brothers" angles and pretend it's exciting and new. (I know Dimitri and Stefan aren't brothers, but I imagine the show will go for the same Stefan vs Chad or EJ vs Stefan or EJ vs Chad dynamic since they are in the same age range.)

I wasn't watching when the original Diana Colville was a character. I wonder how her fans feel about her being an emotionally abusive mother.

Lois Lane is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist in the Superman mythos. Neither Gwen nor Leo compares. I wonder why the writer thought that joke was so funny that they repeated it.

They film so far ahead I don’t think viewers had anything to do with it. They shifted gears before Jada/Eric even aired.

Sadly this is fairly believable. Doctors rush and don't read things properly all the time.

Genie Francis' version of Diana was a good person who in no way resembles the Judith Chapman incarnation. As disparate characters as the two versions of Eve. Might as well be different people

As I posted when the possibility of Sloan using her own DNA for the swab was first brought up:  Days is counting on the viewers being too ignorant of how DNA tests work, so went with this.

I wonder if the paper with the results actually had a line, such as Match or No Match.  Because if the paper actually had lines of medical-ese information from which the conclusion can be drawn, how would Nicole have interpreted it to determine that Eric is not the father?

It's sooo dumb if they have Dimitri & Stefan act out some von Leuschner/Alamain rivalry or antagonism, considering none of the original recipe families are on canvas (Vivian, Carly, Lawrence, Nicky - even Frankie!). Why the eff would current viewers care? It'd make more sense to have them as rivals from the DiMera angle.

Paul Telfer plays Xander well - he can be bad, do stupid things for money, but he still has a charm that makes him interesting and watchable. He has done some questionable things to Chloe, but there kinda is a good side to him. Or just so,e self awareness.

Paulina and Julie shared scenes today. I'm genuinely excited to read @boes reaction to this.

I think the Chanel/Johnny/Wendy/Tripp/Talia group is the worst 20-something set I've ever watched on Days, and I've been watching since 1993.

I was revolted at watching Tripp try to be sexy. Speaking of, does anyone else in the Johnson family know about Joey's broken leg? I don't think Steve, Kayla, or Stephanie have mentioned it, at all.

Wendy has become the strangest character on current Days; yes, I'm including Megan, Kristin, and even the deceased Susan in this list. She is literally flirting and making sexual innuendo with Tripp while she is on the phone with Johnny and has the gall to be upset that Johnny is with Chanel. This isn't even the first time she's done this. It's become a core character trait by now. 

Personality-wise, I can't tell the difference between Tripp and Johnny.

Why didn't Talia just walk out of the room when Colin was in the closet? (Insert inappropriate Leo snark here).

I find it absolutely amazing that both of Sami Brady's twins became supporting characters in Chanel Dupree's storylines. 

Are we certain Johnny isn't Lucas' son? He is getting the same lackluster, forgettable, and we wish you weren't on canvas writing that male Hortons get. See Shawn Brady from yesterday's episode as an example.

So, Abe has been beaten twice, kidnapped, suffered a brain injury, and currently has amnesia all as a result of his relationship with Paulina. Can we officially say he's in an abusive relationship?

@methodwriter85 assessment of Tripp is accurate. These 20 somethings look like children to me that I can't really find any of them sexy tbh.

Even though Abe is healing from his brain injury, he still senses that something is not right. His wife behaves strangely, won’t let him watch tv, doesn’t really cook, and he prefers to sleep on the couch. 

Wendy, not every action with Johnny is about him and Chanel. He actually does have a pretty good reason for standing you up. He is being a friend. 

Tripp is a nice guy, but not sexy in the classic sense. He lacks…. Charisma. Blond furniture. A good, safe choice for the right woman.

Colin was a bit scary toward Talia. She is lucky that Chanel kept pounding in the door. Although Chanel should have asked why it took so long to answer the door. At least she did get the message to the cops and hopefully Colin will be back in custody.

Julie and Paulina had the whole hospital wing to be their loud selves.

We have Xfinity/Comcast cable so Peacock was always “free”.  They’d charge our account for Peacock but then remove the charge.

But later this month, that ends and we’ll have to start paying for Peacock for realsy. I’m not going to subscribe to Peacock until the new Premier League season starts in August.

Ok, thanks for this.  But I read the article and it said only Xfinity customers with gig speed internet get Peacock free. We have internet from Xfinity but it’s not gig speed internet (I think).  So that means we would still have to pay.  Booooooo!

Ok, thanks for this.  But I read the article and it said only Xfinity customers with gig speed internet get Peacock free. We have internet from Xfinity but it’s not gig speed internet (I think).  So that means we would still have to pay.  Booooooo!

If you are an Xfinity Rewards member you should be eligible I got an email mentioning this to me(I have to redeem it on the 26th though as I tried to do it today and it wasn't out there yet)

It's something that should show up on your account if you access it online. There's something there where you can look at rewards and sign up to be a rewards member.
