Fun times last night! I heard someone say earlier--maybe Nicole--that the muffins and cookies were made for both Jasmine and Turner. So I suppose Turner thought he could eat it.

So what had happened was when the muffins were done before midnight so before Jasmine and Turner were off Have Not status, Jasmine put two in a bowl for herself and after being prompted by someone else, put two in a different bowl for Turner. Monte or Joseph had put Turner's bowl of muffins in the microwave to warm them for him - but then forgot about them. So Turner, knowing there were muffins set aside for him, ate half of a muffin from Jasmine's bowl (they could have been in a bag by then, I can't remember), thinking that they were the ones set aside for him. Jasmine found out and thus, Muffingate was born.

But thats exactly what the cookout did last year.  And that wasn't racist, so why is this?

I feel like you can look at last year's board and pursue the discourse on why the Cookout wasn't racist there. (Thanks, Kyle, for bringing this exhausting debate back!)

ETA: Speaking of Kyle, I see a lot of joking, here and on Twitter, about his mother having a fit because of the physical stuff with Alyssa. Are people just assuming she would, or is she herself on social media?

At one point, Kyle's mom (also an influencer type, I think) was on Twitter talking about how she was disappointed in her son and that he was going to need to "rebrand" at home and how they didn't approve of his choice, whether that was Alyssa or just getting his freak on. She later appeared on a Discord channel saying that she had deleted the Twitter app from her phone after Kyle and Alyssa finally kissed because she heard that they did the nasty (they didn't).

The Twitter account was definitely hers, it went back something like 7 or 8 years and was filled with pictures and tweets of her and Kyle together. The Discord channel seems to be her but I don't know if there was ever confirmation. The writing styles and pearl clutching matched, though.

ETA: I took a screenshot of one of the tweets because I had embedded it but I was pretty certain she would delete. Look, Ma! I made a good decision for once!

ETA2: her Twitter account (@itsjustaquirk) is still there so she really did just delete the app and not nuke the account. There are a few other Kyle Big Brother tweets there but not much.

I was there last year too and it the cookout was racist.    Am i too assume people here think voting out people should be white, poc, then white again on repeat? Is that what would please people? So POC cannot be targeted because of their skin color?

Thanks! It's so weird that she adds Alyssa as a hashtag, given the content of the tweet. I guess those Influencer instincts run deep.

Again -- gestures vaguely to the millions of words on this topic already written online last year, as well as by very patient folks like Brian Cronin and Jobiska yesterday.

So is there anything more on the feeds to indicate if one of the nominations is the target or if this is again going to be a backdoor situation and if so who? Thanks to all of you who invest so much time to watch and share the feeds and endure some pretty loaded crap literally.

Well, since no one's said it on here, Monte, Joseph, and Terrance have been noiminated.

This doesn't even make sense to me because it means two of the Leftovers can't vote if noms remain the same. It's way too soon to break up that alliance, and I don't want to see Alyssa, Daniel, Indy or Jasmine anywhere near the finals. I'm fine if Terrance goes but I think there's more of a danger it would be Monte or Joseph. This is the first season where I haven't just given up in frustration watching the awful people bulldoze their way to the end while the nice people just sit by and watch it happen. Someone's going to mess it up again, aren't they?

They’re already doing veto picks, so I’m thinking maybe a long veto comp today. Or maybe they just want to know early exactly how many are playing since it could be 8 and they probably need time to adjust for that many.

@iMonrey @dizzyd Monte and Joseph basically volunteered because they want to BD Daniel and they feel they have a good chance at winning veto to accomplish that. It works for Michael because unfortunately he’s not against the possibility of Monte actually getting evicted this week.

Officially the target is Daniel, but there's lots of scurrying around and chatter saying it wouldn't be the worst thing for Daniel to win veto. I think more than one person is secretly or maybe not so secretly hoping he does just that. Even Taylor told Michael that it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for Daniel to be on the jury because he would vote for actual gameplay. I think she's dead wrong about that. Daniel would never vote for Taylor. Ever.

I think the idea behind the noms was to get the big guns playing for the veto and hey, if something goes wrong there's Terrance on the block as the easy sacrifice.  And as Peachy said, it could turn around and bite Monte.

I think this probably ensures Daniel goes. Whoever wins would be sticking their necks out not to use it. I could see Jasmine arguing not to  (especially if she thinks she's messing with Turner), but I think she has enough game sense to know that would make her a target.

Of course it could flip to Kyle later in the week, which could be fun. I see Kyle going into paranoid mode over it.

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how they can do prize/punishment with two pairs and a trio. Maybe the prize is just a one-off.

Kyle is probably going to fight hard not to go on the block and probably push Indy/Alyssa/Taylor and maybe aim for Taylor.

Which is why I hope Kyle tries it - he's weirdly terrified of being nominated. Probably because all the you know others that have shared backgrounds and big personalities are just rubbing their hands together and twirling their moustaches like Snidely Whiplash in anticipation of removing him from the game - and his one chance to stick it in.

I’m happy that Daniel is sad lol but I’m so scared he’s going to end up safe this week. Kyle is going to be aggressively trying to keep himself off the block and Michael is up his ass for some reason.

I want Daniel to go but as long as it’s not any non-Kyle LO I’ll be happy.

Since Kyle/Daniel aren't playing for veto, I don't see how Michael can realistically not change the nominations at this point. "No, no, it makes more sense to get rid of Terrance, thus removing your buffer for...reasons."

Same. Leaving aside Kyle singlehandledly resurrecting the All Hamsters Matter debate, I want to see him go down in flames for being foolish enough to throw away his game for somebody as rock-stupid as Alyssa. Beauty fades but dumb is forever, Kyle. ETA: Oh, and for being a complete wuss about going on the block. Strike three.

Even better if he gets cockblocked by being ousted soon while Alyssa goes to the jury house.

I could be on board with this.  I don't know how he would manage it, though...

Monte, Joe, Terrance would certainly vote Kyle out, Alyssa would vote Daniel out.  The rest of the HGs???

Indy - Kyle - 1) she's pissed at Alyssa/Kyle for doing it in the bed next to her while she was trying to sleep, 2) she's aligned with Daniel/Terrance, 3) she's also close to Joe

Taylor - ???  maybe Kyle if she got wind of the white alliance, but Daniel has been awful to her

Jasmine - Kyle - see Indy minus point #1

Turner - Daniel, I think.

Brittany - I could see her voting Kyle out because of this whole white alliance thing that she's having none of, plus she sees that he's added no value to the LOs and she's pointed that out to Michael already

Yeahhhhh...  Joe could definitely flip the vote this week, if he gets wind of what Kyle has been up to.

Now, the question is, if Michael somehow senses that Kyle might go out instead, if he puts Daniel/Kyle up, then his only option will be Turner/Jasmine - who goes out in that scenario?

Part of the reason HG's want showmances is that after the show you make more money with appearances if you market yourself as a showmance. Jordeff, Tangela, Jody etc all monetized their relationships post-show.

That's DEFINITELY a factor, but honestly, I think people legit DO fall in love in this house. It's a truly fascinating environment for a relationship, really. Rarely do you spend all day every day with a potential life partner. It really gets you close in a way that real life doesn't, and I think that's why we've seen so many lasting BB romances.

So while yes, fuck Kyle and his fucking bullshit, I think that there's a relatively decent chance that he and Alyssa actually have a lasting relationship outside this show (I'd put the odds under 50%, but more than 20%).

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry, I forgot to add the larger point to that, which is that because of my belief in BB romance, to a certain extent, it makes me more willing to cut Kyle some slack about making decisions with Alyssa in mind. The decisions he has made are TERRIBLE, especially since Daniel can be the easy boot and then he will guarantee himself and Alyssa at least jury this year, so he should just take that and shut the fuck up about his racist BS, but just purely in terms of "does it make any sense to make decisions based on a BB romance?" I think it does, to a certain extent.

I think I’ve decided to root against Kyle. I am NOT calling him racist (nope, not getting into that debate and you can’t make me). BUT. I am going to call him an ‘entitled, used to getting my way, not understanding anything about what people who are not me go through’ asshole.

Because what it boils down to for me is this - he has expressed that Taylor just needs to be cool with going on the block as a pawn AGAIN, while clearly not being willing at ALL to do that. He wanted Alyssa OUT last week, even though it wasn’t the best thing for his alliance, because his ass was tempted. Now that he’s “succumbed to temptation” (this is HIS thinking, not mine - dude was horny as fuck for weeks), Alyssa should be part of any alliance.

I think he’s the alpha male dick we get every season, just wrapped up in a geeky, “I’m so innocent” package.

Agreed.  100%.  I couldn't really find the words or hit the head on the nail before, but now reading this?  Very well said.

True. BB has a stronger success rate of relationships than the Bachelor.

BB couples that have lasted:

- Jordeff

- Brenchel

- Daniele and Dominic

- Cody and Jessica

- Tyler and Angela

- Memphis and Christmas

- Victor and Nicole

- Bayleigh and Swaggy

But I do think many contestants do think about the showmance factor and how big of a draw they'll be post show. For instance, I never believed Holly and Jackson were really into each other. Same with Liz and Austin.

A question : has Monte ever explained to Daniel that Taylor thought Nicole's meltdown was because of her ailing mom, and that she asked him to pray for her, thereby making her conversation with Nicole based on a huge misunderstanding? Would Daniel a) believe him and b) care?

I’m happy for all the successful BB showmances but a showmance in any social game can easily be considered a threat because it automatically puts the couple in an exclusive alliance that anyone outside it would be smart to nix. I wonder if Kyle considered that and is using his POC alliance threat concern to take the focus off the showmance. I’m probably giving him way too much credit to consider this his strategy and even if it is, his execution has been so wrong. Guess we’ll find out by Thursday if the others bought what he’s selling or if he just ends up Nicoling himself.

Welp, Kyle cam talk just listed it. Kick out Joseph, Monte, and Taylor because of their big personalities, and bring in Alyssa and Daniel since they have small personalities. He did the math and thinks that a 7 person alliance is too much but a 6 person alliance is just qwhite right. Also he's going to pitch Jasmine ("she just has a bum leg") as the target and is considering outing the Pound alliance. Also, he thinks Alyssa is really pretty d'aww guys, he's just a guy in love. Hork.

Taylor was willing to delay revenge on Nicole before Daniel used the veto (HA HA HA THAT WILL NEVER STOP BEING FUNNY), so I can see her being willing to do so again. Especially since Nicole is gone and can't fuel Daniel's fire more than the other people who are still there. Hopefully Brittany can leverage the intel she has into action.

Shower thoughts: I found myself wondering, if I were in the house, who would I have considered showmance-worthy? Not many. Steven from Season 10, maybe. And even then I would've tried to save it for the jury house, but he was evicted second, so.

Okay, Kyle is spiralling like Paloma did and it's kinda uncomfy. There's tears and proclamations of how he wants him and Alyssa to be like Michael and his fiancé Hayden and some weird jealousy about Joseph and more tears and he hates everyone here except Alyssa and more tears because Terrance's snoring keeps him awake all night. I think they need to dig that butterfly net out of storage again.

The super weird thing? Kyle has been in one of the best, if not the best position in the house thus far. I don't get it.

It is funny to me that from the beginning Paloma and her Posse argued that Taylor's Pageant Queen background meant she's insincere, a backstabber, a liar, a suck-up, and basically an insincere, backstabbing, lying, suck-up.  When, in fact, she appears to be just a nice young woman who seems to be too naive for this game.   She couldn't even work herself up to be truly mean to Nicole on eviction night, ending what I assume Daniel thinks was her "mean-spirited diatribe" with an "I love you Nicole.

PS, in response to @Callaphera's last post.  Kyle is reminding me of boys I went to high school with who lost all sense the first time they had a girlfriend who would "go all the way."

If he's on the block after Veto, I totally expect that Alyssa and him are going to *blush* go all the way.

It's kinda uncomfortable because they're both like middle schoolers. I don't actually know what a middle schooler is, we don't have that where I'm from, but I'm assuming that they're on the younger but still teen side.

Taylor also doesn’t think Daniel would vote for her, despite Joseph trying to convince her otherwise. But according to Joseph, nobody outside the alliance will vote for him because he’s flying too far under the radar. (I don’t think he believes this, this is just Joseph angling to remain in the game.)

Correct that they thought Monte and Joseph had a big advantage in winning veto. Any other team chosen had an alliance member willing to throw the comp, to diminish the chance of that team’s success. They were actually hoping Turner and Jasmine would be chosen, because barring another pie eating contest, they don’t think she has a chance. (Maybe it will be a muffin hiding contest.)
