You explained it very well, thanks!

Kanye just seems to copy what he sees. He sees Kim wearing Spanx - voila - a clothing line that looks like Spanx, nude, and sheer. Let's not forget the butt ugly transparent shoes/boots.

Earth to Kanye: Give it up, it's not working.

Yeah, there's nothing original there.  He gave Kim the North necklace. Which was a rip off of Carrie Bradshaws "Carrie" necklace,. He gave her another when Saint was born and then he did the same necklace with Calabasas. Just like his obsession with sending weird all white floral arrangments.

He may have an aptitude for music, but not much else. I say stick to your strenghts.

Kanye's "designs" are ugly and unoriginal but the name necklaces he didn't design and are hardly anything that was only a Sex In The City thing, even if the trend started there. When I had my daughter last year my mother gave me one shortly after she was born with her name so I took the Saint and North necklaces to be just that, a gift.  IIRC Kim also has rings that spell out their names.

My understanding is that Calabasas was former ranch land that was turned into gated communities with multimillion dollar mansions about 30 years ago.  So it doesn't have very much in the way of a history, landmarks, or a unique culture unlike, say, Chicago where Kanye is from.  From a merchandising perspective, he wouldn't have a lot of competition in the Calabasas branding arena, and he'd have the demographic of wannabe rich buying up all of that ugly $hit.  He's trying to turn that vanilla-est of vanilla bedroom communities into a brand.

Like Abercrombie & Fitch's Hollister brand? That one was named after Hollister, California. It used to be a big seller in the teen market.

Let's just all agree to pray for the original person that he ripped his fashion ideas off of. They clearly need some divine intervention.

Have you seen the HP commercial with the woman clothing designer who designed a jacket/coat that does double duty as a tent... Yes.... a tent.

I thought immediately of next seasons Yeezy fashion line.

Nothing Kanye does is revolutionary or unique at all.  Even his "rap"  "flow" or "cadence" is supremely annoying.  "ehhhh my *#$$* eeeeeh eeeh eeeeh"

He can't sing, or play an instrument, he mixes artist talent like blending ingredients for a cake.  What Kanye is very good at is hype, and pulling people into the hype and using media to convey that hype.

Kanye writes and produces his own songs. YMMV but this criticism of Kanye veers very close in my opinion to the dismissiveness in general of Rap/Hip Hop artists/music. That is, "it's not singing and it's just speaking over a beat".  And I'll say the same thing I always do when that criticism is made. If it's so easy and lacking any real talent, everyone would be able to do it successfully wouldn't they?

I agree. Kanye is s total douche and his fashion is an eye sore but imo he is very talented when it comes to his music. I'm more of a fan of his early stuff but am still enjoying his recent releases. Some songs more then others of course lol.

Jesus walks is still one of my all time faves.

I just noticed, Kim is wearing Kylie's stolen design camo pants, I guess she got tired of wearing Khloe's ripped denim jeans.

JAPAN is an interesting choice.

If Kim starts wearing kimonos and those wood bottom shoes, it will be proof that Kanye steals his fashion ideas from what ever is around him

What is that beige furry thing in the lower right? A purse? A dog?

Ask and yeezy shall receive:  Kim in a cleavage bearing kimono in Tokyo over the weekend.  A Kymono, if you will.

Wait till she starts wearing them backwards and off the shoulder, and in camo. Kanye must be busy scribbling his designs for his next show. Kabuki makeup, chopsticks in the hair and oversized Kymonos worn untied.

I'm sure she'll bring home a supply  for everyone in the family, we'll see North in one and Rob perhaps. He'd look like a Buddha, with his athletic slides and white socks.

Untied in the back to reveal #datAss that will serve as a counter top for a walking sushi bar?

She's up at 4:00 AM to take selfies?

Apparently she got up with Kanye to take pictures ( I guess for her "APP") but according to her comments at some interview "Kanye's  not a very good photographer" and she scrapped all the pics.  First time I've heard her dis his talents. She's now concentrating on her 4 main businesses, cause she used to work with her sisters and she worked so hard but splitting it 3 ways meant she didn't make that much. So I guess now all her efforts are on solo projects.

Nice picture though of her bodyguard escorting her into a building with his hand on her ass.

Nice shoes. Does the toe fog up?

Let's see a pic of her walking around, putting her full weight in these, instead of lounging around in a limo like this.

I'll bet she does, especially if Kanye designed them. Look how her poor feet suffered when she was pregnant. And that was al for vanity and no other reason.

I suggest they send a pair to Caitlyn as an olive branch.

On JAY-Z's new album, this lyric is supposedly a diss of Kanye

Quote

“I know people backstab you, I feel bad too / But this f*** everybody attitude ain’t natural / But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by ‘Ye / You gave him 20 million without thinkin’ / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f*** was he thinkin’? / ‘F*** wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’ / But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane"

I don't really understand what he's saying, so I can't tell if it's a diss or not LOL.

It's a diss but a fairly mild one for hip hop anyway, because despite everything, I do think there was a real friendship between  Jay Z and Kanye. Basically he's just saying that he understands people backstabbed Kanye but that's not an excuse for Kanye to come at everyone, including Jay himself. It's also confirming that Kanye has changed in recent years. The verse is also probably confusing because Jay then switches to talking about himself when saying "you gave him 20 million without thinkin, He gave you 20 mins on stage..." obviously referring to Kanye's rant against him. I have to say the "But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane" line is perfect.

DAMN! That's impressive, I would never have figured that all out from the verse.

He called him insane, so it's a diss. lol Also admits he gave Kanye $20M.  Kumbaye is I think a Kimye reference that because of that he's not the same.

That's why I called it a diss. But as a person who has heard many a diss rap track, that was, in hip hop/rap terms, a mild diss in my opinion.

I read it more like You (the fans) gave Kanye $20M (buying the album, concert ticket sales, whatever) and in return Kanye gave you 20 min on stage referencing all of the times he would walk off after a few songs or waste half the concert ranting.

And Kanye had better keep his mouth shut if he's butthurt over any perceived diss, after that whole Taylor Swift' I made that B famous' circus.  What goes around comes around.  I wonder if he knew about these lyrics in advance and that's why he shut down his social media accounts.

Kanye has been looking really good and relaxed lately so I hope the Jay Z diss doesn't set him off. TBH I don't think much of Kanye but I think Jay is a massive dick. He even pretty much admitted on this album to cheating on his "queen".

There's a pic of him on TMZ from July 1 and he's looking really bloated ("Hey JayZ Who Cares" story) - I didn't even recognize him.  He's in his calabassas studio these days.

  • Love 5

It's a diss, and I'm no fan of Kanye but it was low of Jay-Z.  There are clearly mental issues going on with Kanye, he was hospitalized for a breakdown, it has come out that people were getting concerned even prior to that, and anybody with a set of eyes can see that he is medicated.  At that point - hands off.  And I'm sure this wasn't written last week.  So...way to kick him when he's down, Jay-Z.

A loss claim was tendered just two days after West checked himself into a psychiatric center, but he and his company -  Very Good Touring, Inc. - still have not been paid more than eight months later, according to the suit.

"Nor have they provided anything approaching a coherent explanation about why they have not paid, or any indication if they will ever pay or even make a coverage decision, implying that Kanye's use of marijuana may provide them with a basis to deny the claim and retain the hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance premiums paid by Very Good," states a complaint filed on Tuesday in California federal court.

Interesting.

Suing your insurance company is pretty standard in this arena, however that will open him up to a deep dive into his personal life, and Kim's, and the Kardashians and Jenners'

Poll:  What is your favorite brand of popcorn?  Buttery or cheezy?  Let me know.  I do not normally eat that stuff, but I feel that I need to have the goods poppin' for Life of Kylie premier Sunday.
