Eggo, you don't know why the burgers are square? With a name like yours? LOL!! The sqaure burger was first used by White Castle, with the five holes in them, because it cooks faster. I don't think Wendy's uses the holes, however. I watch a lot of Unwrapped and the History of Food programs.

Yeah I didn't really learn much about things around america until I was in college. Everyone at my elementary school was from el salvador or brazil so we just talked about soccer and dancing lol. The teachers apparently had no textbooks on Fast Food history. :P. Luckily, I research so much online cause I'm so curious that I am pretty in-tune now. I guess it never occurred to me before that there WAS a reason for them to be square. I just thought they were. lol.

Another good example is I never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich until I was in college as well. It was really strange to me kids eat that so easily. It never occurred to me that could have been a combination haha.

Yeah I know you were joking but maybe some forum readers don't know that is the law.

I said he would be able to claim he was abused if she withheld his green card. It seems unlikely he will be getting one for a while so it doesn't matter. I feel a good lawyer could make a claim on his behalf due to her allegedly misrepresenting her financial situation. Although they may both be commuting fraud if she really took money to marry him.

Because we know so much of this show is fake, there is no reason to believe we see the truth about anything.

He may be able to stay here for two years without getting the green card, though he couldn't legally work. I honestly don't know how long he can be here now they are married.

I think the entire situation is tragic. But if I had to bet, I would bet that he figures out a way to stay here with or without her. Unless she admits to fraud, which again seems unlikely given the way she hangs all over him, to his disgust, I can see him working another angle to stay.

Confession: seriously addicted to watching the train wreck of MoDani... but had a thought. In terms of who's scamming whom, it occurred to me that Danielle has done a better job than her Tunisian toy-boy.  Her I.Q. may be less than room temperature but I think she has a facility with something called "learned dependence"... Never employed for long, criminal convictions, evictions etc. yet that seems to be her lifestyle as least as evidenced by her daughters who seem to have a " ho-hum, here we go again"  attitude to their mother's latest crises.  I'm sure Mo was a proverbial wannabe Tunisian "love rat" but, now that he's married, Danielle holds all the cards. He can't work unless she makes the application. He can't have the marriage annulled or dissolved for non-consummation (only the "aggrieved party" can do that); and he can't get his magic green card unless he can show that it's a valid marriage. There's no evidence that it is, but one way he could show that would be to contribute financially to the household once (if) he's allowed to work. If he's allowed to work but contributes nothing to his wife and family, that constitutes even more evidence that the marriage was bogus and he should be sent back post haste. And even though he's a self described (Movie Star), Danielle's the one who knows how to play to the cameras. The perception of her, at least from the footage, is that she's a lovestruck fool manipulated by a woefully incompetent heartless gigolo. So if there had been any marriage fraud on her part (i.e. getting paid to enter into this whole arrangement) who's going to believe it?  If Mohamed is so stupid (and there seems to be lots of evidence that he is) that he thinks he can waltz up to Canada or take up with another old heifer, well he's got another think coming. Immigration laws in Canada are just as, if not more, stringent than those in the U.S.  And he should have found another heifer before marrying Danielle... now he's got to make that one appear real. So to do that, he's got to make more of an effort than he's doing AND contribute to the family finances. I suppose he could plead eternal Ramadan to avoid physical contact forever but... uphill battle. And once he's sent back, what's to stop Danielle from playing the game all over again? Beats working!

Oh for fucks sake....

Is that bitch for real?

I don't care if she is a hairy-legged resident of Berkeley, isn't hiring undocumented citizens fucking ILLEGAL?

Seriously, Mo isn't the only one flying red flags for authorities on that Facebook page.

I'd face palm at that post up there, but I'd probably do it so hard I'd give myself a concussion.

She hires undocumented workers because she's CHEAP. Americanism, my Aunt Fannie.

There are people who will hire the undocumented and then wrap themselves up in claims of social justice which they conveniently forget if someone gets injured on the job. Most of these people simply don't want to pay fair wages, pay into any sort of benefit plan or take any responsibility for safe, appropriate working conditions. They want a free lunch on the backs of those they employ.

TLC can't pay Mo.  He doesn't have a green card.  So, Dani must have deposited it into a joint account and then he withdrew it. smh

Thanks, MsMagoo.  (Jean?  I thought I saw you on FB.)  Good point, I didn't think about the foreign fiances not having a work permit and they couldn't work for pay, so it all went to the American fiance.

I also am addicted to the Dani Mo soap opera & reading the heifers on facebook. I think the scammer scammed the scammer. Danni I suspect has skated through her entire life whining and not taking responsibility. If I remember correctly Mo was kind of shocked at where she lived and made the statement that it was so small. I would have loved to have been a Tunisian Fly in DoHa to hear what she told him her life style was like. From the edits to the girls, even when Mom was whining their facial expressions were "so what". Just another day in Danni ville for them. If I were Mo &could I  would probably take the money and put it away from her ... anyone that would buy a $ 500 wedding dress knowing they had not paid their rent or electric bill is not to be trusted with not even 10cents. I suspect this whine (that I have read in which she has no money for Christmas presents) has been used before and is nothing knew to those who know her.

And never forget that making her life miserable is part of the bezness plan to get HER to want to be rid of him after he gets the green card.

Good grief.  What those poor girls must be going through.

Interesting.

I wonder if this plan has ever backfired and the bezness man *does* develop feelings for his "victim" (sorry, couldn't think of a more politically correct word here).

I know this most assuredly won't be the case with Dani and Mo, but I can see it a possibility when you live with someone for 2 years to fulfill the green card requirements.  Of course, I guess it would be a win/win for the bezness man in that he'd still get his green card.

Anyway, just ignore me...I'm overworked, over-caffeinated, and over-thinking everything today.

It ain't easy being me sometimes.

Yeah, the scammer scamming the scammer has an almost delightful symmetry to it. <g> Especially if the account on another thread is true, namely that Mo's family paid all the upfront expenses (flights etc.) I've seen people who've been dependant on others all their lives ("ohers" including government services) and they get to be alarmingly good at it. In a ghastly way, these two ARE the perfect couple in that they richly deserved each other!

He [Mohamed] is hardly the only person who married someone they don't love just to get something. He is hardly the only person to pretend to love someone to get a green card.

If I had a dollar for every single person that was scammed for a green card, I would be a millionaire.  That was the reason why the INS instituted a two year conditional wait time.  Before 1996, the spouse of an American citizen was automatically granted a green card after six months and for the spouse of a green card holder, it was a year to 18 months.  More men are scammed than women.  Which means that Mohamed and Yamir are more likely to stay with their spouses than Evelin, Cassia, Daya and Amy with theirs.  Go figure.

A friend of mine married someone in 2007 from another country, but she got her green card right away. She'd been living here illegally for 13 years so I was surprised how easy it was for her. She was in danger of being deported because a group of her friends were jailed and being shipped back home. They married in a hurry.

They kinda have to, in order to show Immigration.

Yea, but you don't have to spend $500.00

Legally, yes. But in reality, Mo is the one with the power because Danielle is a desperate doormat who will do anything to keep him, and he knows it.

Danni did not sound like a desperate door mat to me when the door was closed and the camera's were off. I could not believe how quickly she switched from the poor woe is me cry while the film was rolling to the shrek bellow when they were not.

Just curious since I like this little group what other reality shows does everyone follow on PTV? Anyone Bachelor fans or Married At First Sight fans? That is my other guilty pleasure besides 90 day fiancee!

Besides 90 Day Fiance..I have on my DVR right now: Animal Cops Houston, Christley Knows Best,  Escape To Chimp Eden,  Monsters inside Me (have to be in a weird mood for that one),  The Little Couple,  19 Kids and counting (love to snark watch),  The Millionaire Matchmaker (another snarkable one),  North Woods Law (love the yankee accents),  The Sisterhood: becoming Nuns (haven't gotten around to it yet.) Also, I'm addicted to any and all Amish and Sister Wife type shows (one of my daughters thinks I am a sick puppy for watching the polygamy ones). I also love celebrity rehab and and marriage counseling type shows...and The People's Couch! Wow..I just realized it is ALL "reality" shows on my DVR, except for blackish and Cristela. (I watch way too much tv)

ETA forgot Amazing Race, Big Brother,Dancing WithThe Stars, Hell's Kitchen.and Survivor...it's a wonder I get ANYTHING done.

That could be due to poor editing though. They may have been in there for an hour and at the end she's like Mo, yes or no and that is the piece they take....

Honestly, that sounded more desperate than controlling if you ask me...

Just popping in to wish you all a Merry Christmas. I'm sitting here with my morning coffee, catching up on the news and gossip online. Today is a poignant day for me - it would've been my late fiancé's birthday today - he died nine years ago. So most of today will be a quiet one for me, reflecting on what we had together and what might have been - before I go over to see friends late afternoon. Although I've had lots of invitations to spend the day, I find it a bit tiring and stressful to be at someone else's house all day. Instead I am feeding cats for several friends who are away visiting family and having a nice lunch with just me and my cat, Lucy,

In the UK the traditional Christmas lunch is roast turkey, but I'm not making turkey just for me. Instead I'm making Puerco Pibil (I love Mexican food). I made it last year too and it was so good that it's now become my Christmas tradition. I use the Roberto Rodriguez recipe, but can't find banana leaves here so I use foil instead to wrap it up. Annato (achiote) seeds are also hard to find in the UK, but I smuggled in some achiote paste from the USA, so I will get the pork in the marinade soon and then into the oven for a few hours. I'll make some rice, salsa and guacamole to go with it, along with some black beans cooked with onions, cumin and a little chicken stock until they go almost creamy. A couple of tortillas and a dollop of sour cream, and I'll be all ready for lunch and the Queen's Speech on TV.(Actually I never watch the Queen's Speech - I have a few things saved up to watch on TV, including Olive Kitteridge, which I'm half-way through watching. Not exactly full of Christmas cheer, but it's a wonderful drama.)

Anyway, have a good day, whatever you're doing.

Essexjan, I hope you have a lovely day, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. :)

My family is coming tomorrow, as my sister has to work until around 11 am today (she works in a casino, they never close) and my niece and her family will be with her husband's family today. Just me, the cat and the dog and some food items I need to prepare for tomorrow. I'll be feeding 9 adults and 3 kids tomorrow. Lasagna, salad, several side dishes, gingerbread cake and a couple more desserts. Dad is bringing his ice cream maker so we can have that with the warm gingerbread cake.

My oldest grand-nephew has a Sock Monkey obsession like I do, so he's in for a surprise. I have one that is bigger than he is hidden in the living room closet. I'll send him to open the door and it will fall out onto him. I'm sure his mom will just love me to death for giving her yet one more big thing to carry home. :)

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope your day is filled with joy and love and you are with the people who mean the most to you.

EssexJan, your cat is so beautiful!  I'm partial to calicos too :-)  My cat Suze - pronounced like Susie - is a dilute calico American Curl.

Happy Christmas to you!  I wish I were spending my Christmas in England...maybe someday!  I've visited and traveled around mostly in the northwest and north, and I totally fell in love with Cumbria and the Lakes, and also the Holme Valley area where my ancestors were from.  Hence my screen name, after the village of Honley :-)

Merry Christmas to everyone on the 90DF forums!  I can't wait for Sunday's WATN!

  • Love 4

Good morning everyone. I wish you all a merry Christmas. I'm also with my coffee and my little puppy on my lap. There is nothing better to me than seeing my little boy open up his gifts so happily. He opened a gift from my aunt in Portugal who lives in poverty and it was a little wooden carved tambourine. Oh the joy of laughter he loved it so much. Mommy here plays accordion in carnaval so he was very excited to join her. :) my cousin who is severely physically handicapped, suffering from cancer from so long, (her parents passed a year ago both from cancer too,) passed this morning. But I feel good that she is now at peace rather than still suffering.

I wish you all a very peaceful morning. And I hope we all continue to chatter away about everyone's television banter for a long time. (Also, someone take this cheesecake from me before I start rolling from room to room)

  • Love 4

Okay, now I know I am seriously addicted to the Mo/Danni excrement. Instead of thinking of Christmas stockings, mistletoe and revved up eggnog I am thinking maybe Mo and Danni are scamming all of us in hopes of getting their own reality show --- after all Mo is a "movie actor". I know it would be a real snarkfest!!!!!

I luv luv the expression  "Mo H0's".

  • Love 1

Merry Christmas, forum friends! I'm so sorry for the losses expressed....it's always hard, but seems to be a little more so around the holidays. Unfortunately, as I've gotten older, there are more people in my life who are only with me in my memories. But I am fortunate to still have my mom, college daughter still at home, and a great church family. :-)

We are going to Mom's shortly....she complains about having to cook Christmas dinner, but wouldn't let anyone else do it. LOL!

  • Love 3

God, this is killing me to see this again.... "I like Danielle because she's honest...."

Ewww....and they kissed on the mouth.....

I was drinking ice tea when he said she was honest and it went all over the coffee table. I guess he had not had the electricity or could it have been the cell phones turned off..... nope, it must have been the eviction notice he hadn't seen..... yea so honest
