So Ashley has the goods on Diane leaking Jabot info to Tucker, and Jack has succumbed to Diane's seductive charms to such an extent that the rational part of his brain has stopped functioning, and Diane is thrilled that she's the one calling the shots; Diane Jenkins life is one long con and she's going to leave the same victims in her wake as she has time and time again.

Again Copperhead is delusional. It’s not Summer choosing Diane over her it’s Summer choosing Kyle and Harrison over her.  As I said before, Copperhead wants Summer to be as miserable and all alone as she is. Copperhead has no real friends and as strange as this may sound, other than family, Summer doesn’t have any real close friends.

It looks like Ashley has channeled Copperhead with her recent lack of acting skills. Like Copperhead, Ashley is over the top animated with all her gestures.  Ashley, Tucker most likely has done more to your detriment than Diane but it’s ok for you to play hide the bratwurst with him.  I don’t know if this was by design or just the actor who chose to talk to Ashley’s chest instead of looking into her eyes. It was obvious that Tucker constantly dropped his gaze.

Tell me Copperhead how is teaming up with Tucker to burn it all down going to ingratiate herself with Summer?

Ashley thinks she was so savvy finding those documents that were clearly left for her to find. And I thought diane said she didn’t have access to jabot’s financial info? That’s what got Tucker all bent out of shape and why he turned on her. Because she DIDN’T get them for him. Do the MWTs not remember what they wrote just a few months ago? Yes, that’s a rhetorical question…and what was with Ashley’s tears? Was she upset with herself because she was actually (stupidly) falling for his BS again?

daniel to Phyllis: don’t rat me out

Me: have you met your mother? That’s the first thing she’ll do when she sees Summer!

I did love Audra telling Devon he’s not as smart as he thinks and how he keeps letting the foxes into the hen house lol!

^It wasn't even a few months ago, more like a few weeks ago when Tucker was berating Diane in his hotel room for failing to get him the Jabot financials.

Diane left Jeremy at the Flim Flam Club, went straight to public place Crimson Lights to debrief Jack, then proceeded to Jack's home to fine-tune the rest of their plan.  If Jeremy were the dangerous criminal mastermind they believe him to be, why aren't they concerned that he's having Diane followed?

And what in the world is she going to steal from Nikki?  A horse?  Jewels?  Nikki has a few thousand baubles that Victor gave her to shut her up after did some heinous thing.  Diane could steal half of them and Nikki wouldn't even notice.

How soon before she has to hop into bed with him to convince him? Jack is so damn dumb going along with it.

She was practically preparing Jack for that possibility today.

I can totally relate to Ashley and her being in Diane hell. Try being in Buttbiscuit hell weekday afternoons or, equally as distasteful, Nick hell.

Dog, these business intrigue stories are so dumb. Oops, Tucker left out some hard copies of Jabot financials. Devon calls someone and gets the scoop on Audra after hearing her and Tucker’s bone tone. Okay, the latter is kinda funny, but if all it takes is a call to dig up the student loan thing… like does anyone do any due diligence?

Jack, Diane, forget stealing something from Nikki.  Instead, toss a bag over Victor's head - hopefully one of Nick's old gym bags, the stench alone should make him pass out - and then toss him from a moving ambulance.

They could tattoo "YouGotThat" on his forehead as an extra bonus, and job done.  No jury would ever convict.

I really enjoyed today's episode.  Not so much for the storyline as for some - IMO - excellent acting.

I thought Eileen Davidson did some standout work today, particularly in her scenes with Tucker.  She and TSJ work well together (I think TSJ works well with everyone) but she was especially good in the scenes where she found Jabot's financials and when she listened to Devon rip Tucker a new one.  She said very little, but her expressions, her eyes, her dawning sadness and disappointment in having all her worst fears about Tucker apparently confimed were superb.  She revealed that she'd had some hope that things could have been different, very sad that her doubts were confirmed, and she did it all with with her eyes, her facial expressions even more than any dialogue.

I thought Peter Bergman was also really good in his scenes with Diane.  He was quieter than usual and didn't resort to any of his usual go-to grimaces or winces or squints. He conveyed his feelings more softly, showing IMO, his deep acting skills.  I like Diane more than not (though she's a piece of work like the others) but I love Susan Walters.  Her skills IMO never falter and she's a pleasure to watch.  She and Bergman are great playing off each other, two pros at work.

Yeah, we had Phyllis, but she was, at least, quieter than usual.  Daniel and Lily, Devon and Audra were fine.  But Eileen and Trevor, Peter and Susan were all a cut above today, at least for me.

Let the "Burn it down" begin!

Tucker led Ashley to believe that Diane got him Jabot’s financial documents but I don’t think that was the case. When I was a CFO I made sure there was only very limited access to the financial statements. Hard copies would only be distributed  on a need to know basis. Someone got sloppy and left the financials on their desk and if I was a betting man, Copperhead found them and gave them to Tucker.  By the way, a financial statement is only a summery of how well a company is doing.  There’s no details of the business activities. For that you need the detailed financial records to see any company vulnerabilities.

Me, too.  I was blown away with Devon's speech and Ashley's reaction.  I don't like the Devon character at all, but he delivered today.  Also liked the suspenseful moment when Lily fires Audra, then throws up her hands and leaves the follow up for Devon.  The actors played the moment well.  For a sick minute I thought Devon was going to give Audra a second chance or enlist her to get back at Tucker.  I think I might have cheered when he said get your stuff and leave so I don't have to call security.  Of course, I would have fired her just for wearing that skirt.

Hope this ball keeps rolling.  I want to see where Lily winds up after she walked out.  Hopefully, telling Buttbiscuit to get his things and move so she doesn't have to call security.

One rant:  Nate offering high level jobs like it's Halloween candy?  Can he do that?  Is Audra that much of an asset?  What does she do, by the way?  Can't wait til Victoria gets wind of the hot goss about Audra and asks Nate WTF?.

Kudos to Bryton on his acting chops yesterday. I thought he was stupendous in his rant against Tucker. I am almost starting to like him. And tbh, I don't think he is a stupid businessman at all. He busted everyone who tried to pull a fast on on him. He has been skeptical from the start. If anyone was stupid it was Lily and Jill.

#1--I didn't appreciate the soft core porn on the show.  Been there, done that and had a kid to prove it.

# 2 I absolutely can't believe MS has an actual fan base given her shit acting-a base for Phyllis, maybe, but MS chewing the scenery acting ability?  No

#3--I'd LOVE to see Chance get together with someone and get her pregnant, KARMA, Abby, Karma

I love the softcore porn to be honest. It's frankly why I watch soaps. Characters with chemistry doing the horizontal mambo with a little bit of tears and angst (a little bit) in between. If I can get some great plotlolines to go along with it then I'm all for it but it doesn't happen very often so mostly I watch for the chemistry of characters and when it's good I really appreciate the love scenes.

I remember I was so happy to see Nick cheat on Sharon with Phyllis because I always felt they married them off and gave them a baby waaaaay too young. Sharon became a desperate housewife overnight desperate for bandaid babies and Nick became a selfish dick. I was thrilled to see the end of the relationship especially when it gave me Phick and I was hoping it would give me Sharon and Brad too but of that a despair. Nick and Phyllis had a really smooth, easy, red hot chemistry in the beginning before they were loving out loud.

If Josh Griffiths had a fucking clue what he was doing he'd notice that Nick hops into bed with a woman (regardless of the context) whenever he can't handle his feelings, from Phyllis to Grace to Sally. And if anyone in Genoa City had a memory they would alert both Sally and Chloe to that so they could both stop strolling around town like they did something.

Did they style Summer's hair in a garbage disposal, or just use a blender today? The scenes she did with Phyllis could have been shot by replacing MS with a bobblehead doll. I hope Summer has learned that someone excessively gesticulating and flailing in a conversation, is an indication of lying  Couldn't little Ally, Ally, Ally have handed over the Jabot docs to Tucker? The coincidental rendezvous of Diane and Ally in LA has never really been fleshed out for me by the Keemo estate house sale story. That could have been the beginning of the long con, IMO. The whole Diane and Jack boosting Nikki for Stark storyline is gratuitous. Jack is worrying about the security at Nikki's Chicago apartment? Because Newman security has been so great in the past?...lol!  If Stark really wanted Diane to prove her loyalty, he just would have told her to kill Jack. Devon's stepping up to tell Jill it's time to wake up from the nightmare merger was wise. So many of the original employees that were supposed to be onboard at the inception have long since run off the rails.

I'll join you in that rant. Didn't your hear Nate propping Audra up today to Victoria? She's "bold, out of the box and innovative." And not a single example of anything she's actually done. She's supposed to be an IPO consultant. I would guess she has more knowledge and expertise than most in-house legal teams, which is why companies bring her in. But I would also imagine there's a fairly routine and standard way in managing an IPO. Where would Nate had seen an opportunity for her to be "bold."

Of course she takes the job with no negotiations whatsoever. How bold of her.

Summer is not Harrison’s mother and therefore would have to have Kyle’s consent in writing for Summer to take Harrison to Paris. Even if Kyle got Harrison’s birth certificate changed to him being the father, I’m quite sure, as Harrison’s mother, Tara, would also have to agree to letting him go to Paris.  Since Tara is out of sight out of mind, the monkeys with a keyboard can write any crap they want.

I don’t care what Diane says, She cannot handle Stark. Stark is handling her. Give up the plan because it’s not going to work without recording conversations to prove guilt.

Wow!  Just Wow!  Copperhead giving Tucker a reality check was quite odd for Copperhead. I didn’t know reality check was in Copperhead’s vocabulary.

I knew it as soon as Copperhead found out that Summer and Harrison were going to Paris, she would want to go also. Check that, when Summer first brought up going to Paris, I knew somehow someway Copperhead was going to go with her. Kyle, if you let Summer go with Copperhead you are even dumber than Summer.

Audra meeting with Natey Nate Nate and Cruella doesn’t usually work that way. It seems that she is interviewing them and not the other way around.  Audra should be telling them specifically what she can bring to NM and not asking them about their long term strategy.  It’s the job of the CEO to develop long term strategies and not the COO. The COO’s job is to oversee daily internal operations to clear the CEO’s plate so they can pay more attention to planning strategies.  Cruella actually did recognize that Audra was interviewing them. Kudos Cruella kudos but she still leaves the decision totally up to Natey Nate Nate.  Audra wins and Elena looses. I’m sure that Elena remembers how she first hooked up with Natey Nate Nate by working very close with him.

Also kudos for out to Devon for finally seeing the light that the merger was a bad idea.  Plus the IPO was a bad idea that Jill and Lily only saw the immediate benefit and not the long term ramifications.

But Ashley, you had to give up the cooch to get ultimate clarity on Tucker. Jack has not fallen back into Diane's love canal. Not yet, anyway. So IMO you're looking like the bigger loser right now. Curb your smug.

What happens if Diane doesn't complete the criming task Jeremy set for her by tomorrow? Does he finally kill her? Sure, right after he enjoys a hearty meal at Society while wearing a suit which says "manager of a luxury car dealership."

Poor Tucker was getting read for filth left and right, lol. The only person who hasn't chewed him out is the barista at Crimson Lights.

Look at Devon going into d!ck-swinging mode and ready to throw down with Jill. Step back, everybody. The C-W poop is about to collide with the air cooling device. 😏

"Mother/son trip." Whhhyyy are the MWTs doing this? Free Tara!

Audra is fast on her feet. She quickly disarmed both Victoria and Nate, all the while knowing she likely has a limited amount of time before they get wise to her.

Devon: Jill, I'm out of the C-W merger and my decision is final. I ate nails for breakfast so you're light work.
Jill: curses! Darn those stubborn Kay Chancellor genes!
Ghost Kay and Ghost Neil: heh, heh, heh. It's what we would've wanted.

Victoria let Nate hire Audra into a C-suite position without doing a background check. She's just asking for Nick to find out the dirt on Audra and tattle to Victor.

Sure hope Jack has a defense attorney on speed dial because Diane might leave him holding the bag after he helps her steal from Nikki right quick. Meanwhile, how will Stark know the jewelry belongs to Nikki?

This plan of Jack and Diane's get stupider by the scene.  Of course Stark wants "proof" by tomorrow, and he wants details of their plan.  So he can turn THEM into the cops.  He's said he wants Diane to pay and how better than to send her to prison the way he thinks she sent him?  Now, of course, it'll be Jack who goes to jail instead.

This plan is so dumb you'd think Nick thought it up.

I'm astonished that Audra, Nate and Victoria didn't all die during that interview, since I'm sure human beings can't survive in an environment of pure bullshit.

Nate Natey Nate Nate Nate's noggin so full of helium I'm shocked he doesn't have a string tied around his ankle so he doesn't float away.  Victoria had all the animation of an extra from Beetlejuice, and all that asslicking of how she "welcomes input" was pretty rich.  It's obvious from Audra's dialogue that there was a thesaurus in the writer's room and the page got stuck at "pompous".

Forget Newman Media.  They should just market Audra, Nate and Victoria as bobbleheads.

It's great that Devon finally stopped pissing around and put an end to this IPO - there's a word I hope not to hear for a good long while - but yet one more storyline that ends with a thud instead of a bang.

So, will Jack and Diane get arrested before or after Phyllis, Dummer and lil' Hausenpheffer leave for Paris?  Will Phyllis be deported back to the U.S. before or after they have their bail hearing?  Will the U.S. and France still be on diplomatic terms after those three invade their country?

Nice scene between Ashley and Abby.  Those two, IMO, always give off a very believable mother/daughter vibe.

I think Audra was only acting as Tucker's spy at C-W. She was feeding him inside information for this scheme he had to take the Chancellor part of it away from Jill. It'll be telling whether Audra'll be a free agent now and what she'll do at NM. I can't see Tucker trying to use her at NM to take over NE. The Newman crime family is formidable and once word gets around they'll be suspicious of Audra.

It seems to me like TPTB are desperate to keep Audra relevant so that's why they're moving her over to the Newman orbit. After the way they fumbled Amanda and Imani, and Allie has fizzled out, IMO YR isn't doing so great right now with characters who are women of color.

Really bold of her, too, to answer the question (every prospective employer asks) of why she left her last job with "My work there was done" as if it is normal to leave a project before its completion.  In a world such a GC where everyone discusses everything in their lives in public places (Crimson Lights, Society, Glam Bam Club), doesn't she realize the truth will get back to Victoria?  I'm betting Devon will be right over on his hobby horse to tell her.

Chelsea, vampires cannot enter your home unless you invite them in. Just sayin'. 😏

Cardamom, peppercorns, clove, and cinnamon. Yeesh, Sharon, was Chance supposed to drink that concoction or put in a bong and smoke it?

Sharon: I'd be willing to try anything and everything, Chance.
Chance: really? Anything? Like if I want to handcuff you, strip you naked, grab my baton and put it--
Sharon: Chance! Let's leave a little mystery, okay? Besides, you're my third cop. I know how kinky you fellas like to roll.
Chance: <sly grin>

Man, TPTB must be majorly serious about Chelsea's redemption if they've brought Victor in to prop it.

It's ovah, Billy! Buh bye! Deuces! You better call Tryone but you can't use Lily's phone.

Is Victor intending to undermine Adam's role in Connor's life via Chelsea's emotional vulnerabilities? Of course he is. 😒

Geez, Abby! You know you don't belong on the Chancellor Estate, despite Chance's being gracious about it. A year from now Dominic will barely remember living there. Rip the bandaid off now before Dom actually does get attached to the place.

Lily was having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, tee hee. Whatever. Don't back down, Devon. You may have control issues but so does she, and she doesn't care what you might lose in service of her power trip.

Whoo chile, Lily was so out of pocket during that fight with Devon I wanted to reach into the TV and deliver five fingers to her face. But it was quite satisfying to watch her wannabe CEO ego get shredded.

Victor. Adam just told you about yourself and now you're going to prove him 100% correct. Tiresome.

Oh, I do think that Nate and Victoria let the fox into the Newman hen house when they hired Audra without a hint of vetting.  I see her wreaking havoc.  I do wonder if Daddy Victor will be able to take time (from interfering in his other children's lives and Nikki's problems with Jack & Diane) to remember to tell Victoria about their newest COO being Tucker's mole at CW.  He does know because he talked about this with Michael a while ago.

As for keeping Audra relevant, I'll add one other" fumbled" woman of color to the list - Elena - whose writing has been undeveloped since day 1.   BTW, with Audra, I wonder if her Hispanic heritage will be addressed being as it hasn't been touched on at all.  Elena, on the other hand, is clearly identified as a black woman - but seemingly not a valued group in GC these days.  Lily is the only one given focus.

I LOVE your entire post, but this Newman Media section needs to be quoted and shared!!!

That threesome made some of the other YR business stories look almost credible.  But that's what a room full of bullshit will do for you.

Well, not just this room.  Audra stated shovelling it pretty thick at Society the night before when she angled for a new job as if she were propositioning a "client." 😉  And Nate found his footing long enough to happily wallow in it.

The conversation between Sharon and Chance, for their “supper club”, seemed very metaphoric for what is yet to come 😉.  Chance: How far off the beaten pass are you willing to go?  Sharon:  I’m willing to try anything and everything 😜. Will that include “tasting” Chance?

Victor why would Chelsea turn to you to take care of Connor if needed?  Conner has Adam if he needs anything. Once again Victor seems to be very dismissive of Adam.

Abby being a little disingenuous are we. You actually thought about moving in with Devon because you wouldn’t be willing to move out without someplace to go.

Lily have you even considered that you were stabbing Devon in the back?  Devon might sound like Victor but Lily definitely sounds like Cruella.

Sheesh, irrational much, Lily?  I can't believe (oh, yes I can) she brought up Neil again to guilt Devon into changing his mind, since she's used that very same tactic from the very beginning.  He had been consistently reluctant to agree to the merger until she wore him down with all the "Dad would want this" strong-arming.  She can go take a seat now.

I'm hoping Victoria fires or demotes Nate and makes Audra CEO.  I wish it had happened at the interview!

Unless she sold it and they never bothered to tell us (which is entirely possible), Abby owns the house Brad left her.  She also inherited Dina's home in Paris, and I think there would be room at the Abbott's for her and Dominic.  Plus, she's filthy stinking rich in her own right and could afford a place of her own (though she probably would end up in a suite at the Greyhound Pooperscooper, like everyone else.)  Alls I'm saying is that Abby does have options.

I’ve should have clarified what I meant by Abby’s options. Abby had no place else to go without being alone. Abby needs someone to lean on comfort her and is not happy when that is not happening. That’s why she was at Devon’s today.

Listen up sister, you ain't goin' nowhere, YOUGOTTHAT! We're all in this shit hole together. One for all and all for one. We pretty much all hate watch or just hate read here...The only way out now is a pair of cement shoes, don't make me send Vinny over...

I'm gonna wind up hate watching this POS thanks to you guys.  Jerks.  😊

In that spirit, the lowlife- whoops, I mean lowlight- of the day I think was Abby's smug look at Chance.  So she was all offended about and even *denied* spending more time with Devon, whennnn....she just fucked the guy.  Again.  Yeah, Chance was so off point here 🙄

Wait no, all that said, the lowlife is Victor.  The answer is always Victor, holy shit what a scumbag.  I hope his relationship with Adam is ruined forever.  Like that'd be what would/should happen when the "father" is that horrific,  and Adam would be way better off for it.

Atta girl @JNavarroI knew you could do it!

It was hard enough having to listen to him tell Chelsea that the Newmans "look out for each other and when one falls they pick them up".  Besides the utter bullshittery of that statement, does it count when it's Victor who's the one who does the tripping, the one who makes his children fall flat on their face?  Has he forgotten the time he framed Adam for murder and had him sent to prison?  Was that how the Newmans "pick them up"?  How about when he decided to sue Adam for custody of Connor when he and Chelsea were going to move to Paris without his permission?

And that's just some of the crap he's pulled on Adam, to mention his other kids.  I know Adam has pulled some heinous crap on Victor, but that all falls in the "I don't care" category, considering what Victor has done to all his children at one time or another.  I used to like Nikki but these days she should go on trial as a co-conspirator.

ButtBiscuit sitting on the floor outside Chelsea's door....

giphy.gif

Call an ambulance for him, get him a Life Alert, kick him down the stairs, Chelsea, but whatever you do, don't let him in.  By the way, ButtBiscuit is looking a bit too grey and a bit too long in the tooth to be starring in another midlife crisis storyline.  May I instead suggest, a storyline for him centering around permanent organ donation?

Good Lord, Lily, you want an IPO so badly, get one yourself.  Devon doesn't need to get you one, not an IPO in chocolate, strawberry or vanilla flavor.  It's not a dipped cone from the Dairy Queen.   Maybe she DID deserve Cane, after all.
