SweePea59 March 30, 2022 Share March 30, 2022 (edited) The confrontation between mop and Grampire was hysterical. I laughed so hard. Nikki pontificating about what "we" did? Nikki didn't even know what Grampire was up to more than half the time so how could she be part of this royal we? So this, this, is what the story has been building up to? This is the start of the "exciting" conclusion? I see many more laugh riots ahead in the next few days, or however long they drag this out. And you know that whatever mop has planned will end up with people who have penises rescuing the little girl. I'll just be glad to see the Pillsbury Asshat gone. He's a totally different character than Asshat #1 and I can not see this one and mop as a couple. Too funny. Edited March 30, 2022 by SweePea59 13 Link to comment

SweePea59 March 30, 2022 Share March 30, 2022 Doesn't it feel like scenes, or days, are missing? Like they tear up pages and pages of script and story and then have to backtrack and explain what they cut? When did the physio-key-atrist give Hairball advice to go back to work? Did I blink and miss it or was it not shown? If it wasn't shown was it because it didn't happen? And what about Kevin getting a call from Micheal? Wouldn't that have been suspenseful to see? Did I blink and miss it or was it not shown? Not showing key parts of a story makes the rest of the story feel random. And hey, wouldn't it have added some suspense and build up if we had seen Allie call Jack and ask him to meet her at the house? Maybe end the show on that bit of a cliff hanger?Instead of having us go, "hey-what-all of a sudden Jack is at Keemo's old house-they were just sitting at the restaurant and now time has passed and Allied called Jack to meet her at the house-how much time has passed-oh wait-they're talking-I better try to get into this..." ????? Is this Pattycakes story going to run at lightning speed of random scenes? 2 4 11 Link to comment

How does anyone know he's telling truth about Dr. Huffman giving him the okay? Phyllis can give as good as she gets but I'm not sure it was her place to tell Ashley how to deal with her own brother. Even though they are kind of in-laws, IMO Phyllis is inserting herself into Abbott family stuff. Heh, I bet Noah's wedding invitation mock-ups were in Comic Sans but Mariah and Tessa didn't want to hurt his feelings by laughing at them. 🙄 Well you're right about one thing, Ashley. Waldo13 March 30, 2022 Share March 30, 2022 Is it me or does anyone else think that Ashland 2.0, Chance 2.0, and any actor that has played Billy since Billy Miller are the worst recasts in GC. GT replacing MS than MS replacing GT was also pretty bad. But I guess MS had to be rehired to make Phillis go back to her ridiculous self. GT could never play Phyllis as Rodan the Petty because CAW CAW is not in GT’s vocabulary. I’m not saying the actors are bad it’s just the way the actors are now being portrayed. Ashland went from a suave businessman that I could see Olive falling in love with to Ashland 2.0 that doesn’t seem to have any chemistry with Olive. To me, Ashland 2.0 was hired with no forethought, by TIIC, and hired the first actor available with gray hair and at the appropriate age. Chance has gone from a charismatic sophisticated man to a grubby man/child. TIIC had more time to think about recasting Chance so it seemed to me that TIIC wanted to give Abby a Scotty clone because Abby is really into “bad boys”. Sharon, stop obsessing over Noah. He’s a grown man and doesn’t need your input on how to live his life. The same goes for Jack. He’s a grown ass man and stop dictating what they think is the best for him. Allie, a little defensive are we. Jack just mentions that her father and his aunt worked in the same Jabot lab and Allie jumps to conclusions that he wants to give her a job. Red Herring, Allie will one day, sooner than later, will take a job at Jabot. I’m starting to really like Allie and I hope that TIIC don’t ruin her character by teaming her up with Noah. What is Ashley’s malfunction? When did Ashley become Jack’s pit pull? I never thought I would say this but brava Rodan the Petty brava for putting Ashley in her place. I don’t know much about Jack and Diane other than they are Kyle’s mother and father. Can someone please tell me did Jack and Diane have a good or bad relationship? 1 8 Link to comment

Can someone please tell me did Jack and Diane have a good or bad relationship? Jack and Diane have a long and complicated relationship. They first started dating when Diane was a model at Jabot, but Jack was also dating the good working class Catholic girl Patty. Jack decided to marry Patty as a way to prove to John that he wasn't an irresponsible playboy. But he kept seeing Diane all along. He was even late to his wedding to Patty because he had been with Diane that day. (As an aside, Billy did the same thing...he was late to his wedding with Chloe because he'd spent the night with Sharon.) When Patty was pregnant, she saw Jack and Diane together, which lead to her having a miscarriage. This is when Patty started to unravel, and she shot Jack and ended up at Happydale. Meanwhile, Diane started seeing and eventually marrying Paul's best friend and sidekick Andy (the real-life son of President Ford!). But Jack was still in the picture for her and that's how her marriage ended. Jack always had trouble committing to Diane. However, just when he was about to, Victor started seeing her just because he wanted to be an asshole and stick it to Jack. Victor eventually really did fall in love with her, though, and they got married. She wanted to have a baby with Victor, but his vasectomy put a damper on her plans. Somebody shot Nikki (I think it was a crazy ex-wife of the doctor she had been involved with, or was married to? I can't remember). Victor thought she was going to die, so he got a quickie divorce from Diane so that he could have a quickie hospital bedside wedding to Nikki. Then, ooops, Nikki lived. I think this is when Diane found out that Victor had a stash of spermsicles and decided to try her hand at sperm bank robbery. But between Nikki and Ashley there were so many switcheroos that Diane got the booby prize of Jack's spermsicle, hence Kyle. There was a custody battle or three while Jack was married to Phyllis. Diane won custody the first time, but Jack won after it was discovered that she had tried to frame Phyllis for burning down the Abbott pool house where she had been staying. Eventually, Jack let her have custody back. But keep in mind that Diane and Phyllis really loathe each other. I think I remember Diane having a fling with Tucker, too, but I can't remember if he was with Ashley at the time. At any rate, Ashley is no fan of Diane's, either. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of stuff, but that's the Cliff's Notes story of Jack and Diane. My UO...I like this Ashland a little better than the first. I just think he's a better actor. That scene with Abby yesterday was so nuanced and hilarious, and I don't think Original Recipe Ashland would have pulled that off so well. I also think this Chance is 1000x better than that goober they had before. 4 16 Link to comment

Waldo13 March 31, 2022 Share March 31, 2022 Come on Lauren do you actually think that Victor would be scared of you and Michael ordering all the expensive items on Society’s menu. I’m sure Victor has eaten in restaurants where an appetizer would cost more than the total Society menu. Beside, Victor gets a family discount. Lauren looks like she was dressed by Fenmores gift wrap department today. I don’t know what Nikki or Rodan looked like back then but today she’s far more attractive than either of them. Diane, even with Jack’s denunciation of her, seems that there is a spark of chemistry. I’m now assuming that Diane is the Sheila of The Bold and The Beautiful. They are the evil twins. All Diane’s evilness must have happened after Kyle was born or why would Jack have an affair with such an evil person unless he never knew what was going on. Victor can still wield power at Newman/Locke and appoint Adam as temporary CEO or does Olive still have to agree and temporarily step aside. Is Victor can do this on his own, than wouldn’t he have the power to shit can Ashland 2.0. Since some of you in have described Ashland 2.0 as the Pillsbury Doughboy, I’m now going to refer to Ashland 2.0 by the Pillsbury Doughboy by his lesser known name, Poppin Fresh. Diane showing up alive is all kinds of WTFery. And she's schemed on your innocent granddaughter too. Ugh. Yo, Diane: Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, Victor. Your crackhead security team failed again and Michael escaped his Peruvian captors despite their attempted help, not due to it. AFAIC Lauren can stay up your a$$ over the way you were so dismissive of her during her husband's disappearance. Um, Ashland, you might not be coming back from Tuscany. Don't worry too much about what to pack. Miss us all with the tears, Diane. You are out of your freaking mind if you thought Jack and Allie would be grateful for what you just pulled. I'm not even sure Kyle will be happy about it. Lauren, when you gulp down wine from those quart-sized goblets it's quite likely you'll end up drunk. Just sayin'. Nate was wearing a different colored tie today. For a change it wasn't lavender. Proud Adam doesn't realize Victor is using him as a stalking horse by appointing him temporary CEO of Newman/Locke. Daddy Vic is mainly trying provoke Victoria into falling back in line instead of keeping the family in dark on how she'll deal with Ashland. Diane is nothing like batcrap psycho Sheila. Jack's description of Diane was seriously exaggerated, but I guess that serves whatever story they're trying to tell now. In much the same way Patty wasn't always a cartoon character, Diane was a normal person until she got involved with Victor. Hmmm...I do believe we have a common denominator. Phyllis is Diane's primary nemesis, but that's true of 89% of the population of GC. I'm so confused by this Ashland story. On one hand, he seems panicked by Michael's escape and whatever else was going on in Peru. But he's also remarkably calm and convinced the evidence will exonerate him. Could it be that he really was sick and really did receive treatment and that someone is setting him up, but he was also doing something shady yet unrelated in Peru that he was trying to cover up? And what about the "Locke" half of Newman-Locke? The Newmans are acting like he has no claim to any part of the company. 1 11 Link to comment

Joimiaroxeu April 1, 2022 Share April 1, 2022 Quote Diane's not a psychopath like Sheila, she's just a bitch like Red. But this isn't Diane, this is Pattycakes, who went nuts. Diane wasn't pining over Jack when she died. Once Jack gets over the shock he needs to start thinking - why would she want to contact me? Only Pattycakes (and maybe Mari Jo Mason) is obsessed with Jack. Susan Walters is a good actress. Look at her eyes. She's not playing Diane. Quote So I guess we're not sure which apparently dead character that "Diane" actually is? What a cluster fuck. My takeaway from the shallow end over here is just that this actress is very pretty, regardless. Quote I'm pretty sure it is Dianejenkins, who somehow lay facedown in the creek for nearly an hour with her green-leaved dress and hair floating on the water as Paul and other people caused little wakes as they walked around her body many times looking for clues and having conversations. Was she breathing through a straw the hole time? Did Paul forget to take her pulse? I just want to point out that as of today's episode in the US, "undead Diane = Patty" is still pure speculation. And not all of us are hoping for such a plot twist to happen again. I'm personally over Patty and Sheila making themselves look like other people and taking over their lives. That trope is cheap and has been run into the ground IMO. Quote Diane was a normal person until she got involved with Victor. Yeah, I think this is basically true. However, historically Diane didn't have much trouble agreeing to be a sidepiece, mainly for Jack. She had self-esteem issues and it often lead her into bad decisions and unfortunate behavior. (Such as setting the Abbott poolhouse on fire, and making it look like Phyllis had backed over her with a car.) AFAIC, faking your death (hence abandoning your young child) is next-level and pretty close to evil. I'm curious to know what Diane's excuse will be. 2 11 Link to comment

If it is Diane - and even if it's Patty - I'd be surprised if Victor didn't have a hand in it in some way. Though, with everything Nikki went through, if Victor is involved, I can't imagine what the explanation will be. On Diane's last incarnation, when she was played by Maura West, Victor's relationship with Diane was pretty antagonistic with layers of creepy and creeping sexuality. Victor tossing Diane out of the moving ambulance was so casually vicious that it shocked me in ways some of Victor's worse crimes didn't. What an image that was..... All speculation, but IF Victor was involved, would this mean Show is making a return to a very alive and very active feud between Victor and Jack again? 4 5 Link to comment

Sheila = Sugar = Phyllis and back and forth, and Lauren = Mama Bear/Sarah Smythe, and Patty = Emily Peterson and her aliases, Adam got a new face but now looks more like a Newman than ever, and Matt Clark changed his face. David Kimball was the best plastic surgery story ever and can never be topped. Plus we've had natural doppelgangers and twins. I feel like characters changing their faces more than once is just too much. I have to draw the line somewhere, lol. 6 hours ago, Joimiaroxeu said: I just want to point out that as of today's episode in the US, "undead Diane = Patty" is still pure speculation. And not all of us are hoping for such a plot twist to happen again. Given the choice between bringing back a character from the dead who we saw be dead and had a whole big story about her murder who would now have abandoned her child, versus wily Pattycakes who ran off into the woods and eluded the authorities now having gotten plastic surgery to look like the woman Jack slept with on her wedding day and was the event that originally pushed her over the edge, I'll take the latter, there is more soap logic in that. But that doesn't mean that I am hoping for this story to have that plot twist or even be written in the first place. It's just the lesser bullshit of two moronic scenarios. It just proves how talentless the MWTs are that something like this could even be discussed. I'm only hoping it's Pattycakes because it would be way worse for it to really be Diane Jenkins. Also, I loved Stacy Haiduk in the role of Patty and it really pisses me off that they could be bringing Patty back with another actress. I can only speak for myself, but I seriously doubt anyone is hoping for such a plot twist to happen just for the fuck of it. Only as the lesser of two evils. 1 1 13 Link to comment

Victor tossing Diane out of the moving ambulance was so casually vicious that it shocked me in ways some of Victor's worse crimes didn't. What an image that was..... That's what pisses me off the most about this undead Diane stuff (at least the most after her abandoning Kyle). If Diane faked her death that pretty much absolves Victor and Nikki of everything they did to her. Nah, AFAIC, Nikki still tried to kill somebody she thought was Diane, and Victor still did this shite: I am never going to be okay with a man physically abusing a woman. Not unless she swings on him first and even then, it depends the circumstances to me. Rumor has it there were some backstage troubles between Maura West and some of the cast, and a number of the Y&R actors (allegedly led by EB) pretty much closed ranks against her. The ambulance-tossing and the unusual brutality of Diane's murder were supposedly a message being sent of how unwelcome MW had become. I never knew much of MW before she appeared on Y&R but even if she was the biggest C U Next Tuesday ever, the way she got sent off was petty and vicious in my view. There's a reason Y&R is rumored to be a difficult show to fit into as a newcomer (especially if you'd already been a big name on another soap) and the whole MW/Diane episode helps me believe the negative hype. Quote Also, I loved Stacy Haiduk in the role of Patty and it really pisses me off that they could be bringing Patty back with another actress Nothing against Stacy Haiduk but I think she's doing fine over on DAYS. (She seems to be playing at least two characters I guess, or it's one person who has alternate egos. I dunno, I only barely watch DAYS while I'm waiting for something else to come on.) Let her stay over there and let Patty stay away from GC. If TPTB want generate ratings by bringing back supposedly dead characters, I want to talk about Dru, either with VR or a recast. 4 9 Link to comment
JasonCC April 1, 2022 Share April 1, 2022 (edited) Thanks for those clips SweePea. I totally forgot how f'ing DARK the Maura West return as Diane was. I remember a fight with her and Phyllis: Phyllis was screaming like a banshee and Diane just had one tear roll down her cheek and said "God I hate you" with piercing eyes and a clenched jaw. I remember talk at the time that MS went too over the top and MW took it the other way in response.... Full disclosure: I love, love LOVED the creepy storyline over 10 years ago when Patty came back to GC as Mary Jane Bensen with the altered face. I liked the whole Dr Emily Peterson storyline, she really worked with Jack. Overall? I think I'd prefer Diane is Patty than some convoluted twin storyline (too many of those lately) or some Days-ish back from the dead explanation that Nikki didn't really kill Diane. For good or ill, Y&R's universe does have that Brazilian plastic surgery trope and Patty would have certainly known who to go to in order to make her into Diane. When Victor picked her out of obscurity last time she had the plastic surgery to look like Dr P--someone who helped her--but I could see her now having it to look like her archnemesis Diane. As mentioned, not ideal but I think that's the best route to go all things considered... If that's the case? Maybe a Paul return? He's the only one who seems to remember VICTOR is who made his sister into a nut job. She was damaged before, sure, and had left GC in pain. But he stirred the pot, brought her back, and put the idea in her head she could have Jack back.....just to cause chaos. Colleen's death is partially on Victor, in my opinion. Julyolo April 1, 2022 Share April 1, 2022 (edited) As to the character "Rey", Jordi Vilasus is going to do a podcast with his wife called "Making It Work", which could involve him learning to speak, and move his facial muscles again. LOL Edited April 1, 2022 by Julyolo 10 Link to comment
KLovestoShop April 1, 2022 Share April 1, 2022 Today’s show is more proof that these writers are lazy and have little talent. Spending a majority of the show in flashbacks is just pathetic writing. 10 Link to comment

They have made it clear that they intend this to be Diane Jenkins by showing her have memories, with Jack and alone after he left. WTF. Regarding MW in the role. They could have recast. I don't think she could have had some iron clad contract, otherwise they couldn't have killed the character if she had to appear on camera. So they could have recast. I liked her, but she was too young for the role. There are plenty of ways to write out a character without killing it off. And there are those open-ended deaths, too, like falling off a cliff... So let's see, what corpse are they going to reanimate next? Colleen? Cassie? How about Cassie and Mariah's bio-dad whose body Sharin' and Nikki dragged through the sewers? Oh yeah, and the vague explanation Diane gave Jack - Deacon Sharpe, corpse from the morgue, paid off any people who knew something. Complete BS. 8 Link to comment
