  1. Dan Setzler is so cool, you don't hold the end of BOTS2 against him. Very remarkable.
  2. I'm not seeing Aya/Mira. Maybe because Aya didn't have any hair. If Mira winds up taking over Dimension W and runs amok? I'll change my view. Loser/Darkman is rather apt, weyrbunny.
  3. Final headline: "PARTY TIME . .. EXCELLENT!!" I'm kinda hoping they put the guy who filled in for Jake Murray in the preliminary Relay on the trophy. Also hoping that there's another TNW down the road, and that the female ninjas step their game up. Sure, we had the number of Warped Wall-beating women double, but a lot of the heats weren't fun to watch. Also liked the big celebration at the very end. Wouldn't be surprised if the ninjas didn't toss all of Party Time into the water.
  4. I should probably rewatch the episode. I was distracted through the first half. Apparently, the kids at SHIELD still pale to Peggy Carter. Not a fair comparison, but it has to be made. Truth. And if Hulk was part of the MCU continuity, Talbot would be dead. Anybody else want somebody to reference Quicksilver in comparison to Yo-Yo, even though the guy had maybe two seconds of time in the public spotlight? Ido like her powerset, as well as Medusa Cyclops. ETA: I would support an effort to raise money for the SFX budget to be upped, for the express purpose of bringing a CGI Lockjaw to the small screen. Who's with me?
  5. We're in six seasons. I think CN won't dump the show. "The Hall Of Egress" was a bit of a thinker. I might have to view the episode again to fully bask in its layers.
  6. Thinking about it, maybe the show should air on Fridays. I thought it would be nice to have a 90-minute block of politically-aware comedy on Mondays, but everything is so freaking depressing. It's great that another TDS correspondent is making a sizable impact, but I'm getting numb seeing the GOP coverage. Speaking of the Republicans . . . I don't think they're dead. Freddy Krueger didn't come back as often as those guys. ETA: I liked the "Technical Difficulties" screen, with the candidates checking their respective junk.
  7. The Challenge got mentioned at the beginning of American Dad tonight, albeit as "Real World/Road Rules Challenge." On the plus side, it was Patrick Stewart bringing it up. Y'all think Picard is a fan of Johnny? I would hope not.
  8. Meh episode overall. Victor is a credible bad guy . . . who knows what will motivate him now that Nora is dead. Also, Hugo Strange is a bad guy. Of course he is. His friggin' name is "Hugo Strange." Jim continues to be a doof around Leslie. At least he hasn't lost his head like Oswald. I did like his impression of a "goose." Hi, Barbara! Bye, Barbara! And was that Theo in the vat at the very end? It's been awhile since I've seen him. I'm guessing fate doesn't want Jim to commit cold-blooded murders that will stick. ETA: Forgot about Victor's handiwork in the beginning of the episode. He can freeze bullets in mid-air? I call bullshit, even though it does look cool (no pun intended).
  9. Seeing how I wrote about minor league stuff in the MLB thread, I figured I should post here. Just checked the Staten Island Yankees schedule . . . no promotions scheduled for 2016, though their Game of Thrones-themed night with George R.R. Martin was awarded a MiLBY. Over in Brooklyn, the Cyclones are having a Full House tribute night with John Stamos bobblehead dolls.
  10. I never got into art, so I'm guessing a lot of references went over my head. I guess it doesn't matter, because Monarch blew the bad guys to hell. And Rusty lost a lot of his shit. Par for the course for that guy. When is Brock going to stop being a buttmonkey? He beat up a faux ninja and Pete. Not that impressive. Shit, I can take out Pete. Is it possible fighting the Monarch's henchmen inflated his record?
  11. From StopBeingPolite: the 31 most memorable cast members based on their actions from their respective seasons. Immediately, the first pick at #31 ticks me off.
  12. I'm back to writing again. Also, I whipped up another blog post a few days ago.
  13. Forgot to post about last week's episode. Raiko gets killed . . . by being shot to death? Really, Parasyte? Then we go to the authorities recruiting a serial killer with Kana's mojo to try and find parasites. He's such a deviant, he whips it out seeing a woman behind the glass. This week: not much action. I don't get how or why Shinichi still goes to school these days, let alone running 100 meters in a little over ten seconds. The authorities try to detect parasites. Like that's not going to blow up in their faces next week.
  14. Lava is different from seawater. That's all I got. Good news . . . after tonight's light filler episode, we kick off a new arc next week. The ep airs when the clocks go forward an hour, but it's scheduled anyway..
  15. Heads up . . . just saw an ad for new episodes starting next Sunday. I'll have to see the commercial again to see what's getting spoofed. I think I saw Kermit from Muppet Babies scaling a skyscraper like King Kong.
  16. Just saw Tyler, squeezed between Gwyneth Paltrow and The Who. He and Jimmy spent about a minute or two on TAR, which I was expecting. Jimmy says he's a fan. Tyler likened going offline to losing a limb on the first day, though he did recover. He did try and flag down somebody to get a review of Adele's latest album. He's still cute to me, but I can get where he would annoy some people.
  17. More on the Young Justice front: Danica McKeller (aka Miss Martian) is urging fans to keep "Binging" "Young Justice" in order to bring it back on Netflix. Who's gonna say no to Winnie Cooper?
  18. This is it . . . the season finale. Apparently, Esquire will show the other semifinal, and the winner of that will meet Team TNT in a final Relay Race. First up: Party Time (Brian Arnold, Jake Murray, Jennifer Tavernier) vs. Expendabulls (Kevin Bull, Alan Connealy, Luci Romberg). Jake manages to speed up, beating Alan narrowly. Luci wipes out on the cargo net, giving Party Time a 2-0 lead. The anchor leg is epically close, with Kevin beating Brian to the buzzer by 0.07 seconds. In the sudden death rematch, Brian manages Spin Cycle in three moves, while Kevin fails to duplicate that, giving Party Time the win. Next match: Lab Rats vs. Storm Team Moravsky.
  19. "Blodie"? Can't be much worse than friggin' Eric and Danielle. Wow, that was a dogpile at the Pit Stop. Crappy leg design, IMO. Why put the finish mat in another country? Especially with trains that guarantee bunching? Still no real "bad news" Racers in the bunch. Sure, Scott & Blair are running on borrowed time, but at least Blair is bearable. She's no Hayley, that's for sure. Does the show warn locals that people will be in their neighborhoods? I like local interaction, but it was sort of cringeworthy. Apparently, most of the Racers are celebrities in Colombia. Also, I don't think Scott & Blair and Zach & Rachel's start times were posted. Does stuff like that pop up in the bonus clips? I've been trying to keep track. ETA: I'm guessing the Models were recruited. Of course nobody is going to help with the flags. It's been said before and I'll say it now . . . it's a raaaaaaaaaaccccccce.
  20. Reality Blurred answers the question: How do you get a seat at a Survivor reunion?
  21. Good News/Bad News. Good News: Rick and Morty will be having its third season later this year. Bad News: Childrens Hospital will be wrapping up after the current season.
  22. Awwwww . . . Leonard and Mick broke up. If Cold was smart, he would have frozen Mick and dropped a dime to Barry. I'm betting Mick will be a Micksicle until such a time when the crew needs his services. Stein outdorked Ray this week. I didn't think that was possible. Not sure how to feel about Ray and Kendra, though.
  23. Heads up . . . Tyler is going to be on The Tonight Show this Friday on NBC.
  24. They opened the show with an Inside Out parody, and nobody thought to call Lewis Black? That's understandable . .. if that went through, the Disney lawyers would have broken Trevor's legs
