Are there any attractions within a day's drive that you haven't visited, or haven't visited in a while? Sometimes just a change of scenery an hour or two away helps me.

I saw this yesterday. It was nicely done. Everyone just completely knocked it out of the park. I did feel like it was a softer version compared with the original, but that is likely the effect of making it a musical. With the addition of songs, some other things seemed to be smoothed out or compressed. At the same time, other things that were only implied in the original were made 100% clear in this one.

I totally get not knowing how to pronounce something you've only seen written and have never heard, but you'd think someone, somewhere along the way of getting an ad on air would have caught that.

I read it as a short novel, so it was an easy FJ for me yesterday. I think it was an assigned reading somewhere in my schooling -- middle school-ish, maybe? I also got the TS of use yews, Ginsu, Get Smart, The Drew Carey Show, and Cyprus. It was an archive game for me, and I would like to think I would have gotten sphagnum if I'd been able to see the picture.

And ads for gyms.

I just saw an ad for a local Mazda dealer, and the announcer said that whatever model was the epitome of luxury. Except he pronounced it ep. it. tome. Tome, like a large book. Almost as bad as the local travel person pronouncing Mackinac Island as it is written. Apparently someone alerted him to the mispronunciation -- later ads I've seen have him pronouncing it "Mackinaw" like it should be.

Her delivery of that line was absolutely perfect.

Archive game for me tonight. I had to think about FJ, and for lack of anything better to say, I came up with the correct response. I did almost say Dumbo, but since he's fictional, I opted not to write that one down. I got the missed clues of restoration and lepidoptera.

Because there might be someone who does care and who would worry if they hadn't been heard from in a while.

I disagree that that particular movie was bad. I love it, and quote from it all the time.

I wanted to name a dog Stella, but one of my neighbors was named Stella, and I didn't want her to think I was yelling at/for her all the time.

I saw this yesterday, and it was fine. If a prequel/backstory had to be made, Timothee Chalamet was probably the best choice to be Willy Wonka. There didn't seem to be a lot of things that would directly tie this one to the Gene Wilder version, but there were a lot of Easter Eggs, and musical callbacks, even if it was just a few notes here and there. Hugh Grant cracked me up as the Oompa-Loompa. Perfectly stern and slightly ridiculous at the same time. Not sure I'll run right out to see it again, but I won't change the channel when it comes on TV. (Which I do with the Johnny Depp version. Ugh.)

Yay, the site's back! Catching up -- Did not get FJ on Thursday. I didn't even have a guess. But I did get quite a few TS, including fast food franchise, Love's Labours Lost, milkshake, Mobile, John Henry, Molly Pitcher, Orkneys, Thomas Aquinas, and heartburn. Friday, I did get FJ, but it was a total guess. And the only TS I got was genome.

Instaget FJ for me tonight. I also got the TS of deer, marry, Ferdinand, William & Mary*, The Thorn Birds, and Harriet Tubman. *I would have had to send my degree back if I hadn't gotten William & Mary!

Ooops! My bad. Maybe I should take some worthless brain supplement so I can remember which is which! 😉

She can always go back to doing commercials for Prevagen.

I am sorry to say that I did not get FJ. I only got two TS -- hind, and Trinity.

I'll miss the fashion (or "fashion," in some cases).

I didn't like Home Alone when it was new.
