  1. I thought of horse racing first, too, but "play" in the clue helped lead me away from that -- to tennis. Yeah, I don't know. I think it was azalea that finally got me to the Masters.
  2. Hooray Scott! Andrew just looked so glum again towards the end of this game, I'm glad he lost. I felt kind of bad for Amy with her buzzer difficulties, but at the same time, her vocal fry habit was a bit annoying. I randomly and wildly guessed The Masters for FJ, and was astonished to see it was correct. I know almost nothing of golf. I also got quilting and bread and butter pickles.
  3. Bulgur is made from whole wheat, but weren't they asking what kind of wheat was used to make pasta? Which makes Andrew's answer especially bad -- orzo is a pasta shape, not a type of wheat.
  4. I know that because of The Blues Brothers. I lost track a while back when they were trying to decide what to replace "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" with -- I honestly didn't know we had a state song. Thanks for the update! Maybe I should listen to it sometime.
  5. Go Tribe! :) Meanwhile, can we have Kelly back instead of Andrew? Though I was really rooting for Jeff! I completely blanked for FJ -- what is the capital of Bangladesh? Did Alex say and I missed it because of Andrew's antics? Terrible game, mostly because Andrew won in the end, but I did manage tapenade, Benazir Bhutto, and things that growl. I dread tomorrow's game, but hope Andrew's a one-and-done.
  6. I lived there for a bit, and visit often, including at least one drive on Rochambeau Dr. per trip (mmmmm, Pierce's Pitt BBQ), but I still had no idea. As I've said many times, though, history is not my strong suit. Despite having lived in the Historic Triangle. :)
  7. Kelly annoyed me, too. She looked so glum most of the time, and leaned (though middle guy swayed -- not sure which is worse), and of course, the dreaded "hundrit". I still didn't notice a lisp with Jordan, though. It would not have hurt my feelings if he'd won again. I guess he had a disadvantage with FJ, being Canadian and all. FJ took me a second or two, but I got it in plenty of time. No idea why two of them would have come up with Maine. I wonder what European island they were thinking of? Thanks for figuring that out! I was confused about that, too. I got artesian, Osborne (*sniff*), kidney, and The Go-Go's. And hey, look at that -- a DD at the lowest value clue!
  8. And I should post this in the inconsistency thread, but Barney's middle initial wasn't always P.
  9. I'll have to see it again (like I need an excuse) -- I really thought when they were giving orders to the car, they called it Incredi-bile.
  10. Isn't that what they called it?
  11. I fully admit that I generally don't watch the episodes that are in color, so I know nothing of green carpeting. :)
  12. Sometimes their house had a guest room, and sometimes it didn't. Gomer stayed in the guest room, as did Otis and maybe one other -- maybe the man who made hat decorations and who was evicted from his house? Not sure about that one. But the Man In A Hurry didn't -- Opie was going to have to sleep on the ironing board -- and when the relatives came and visited, they went through all sorts of convolutions for sleeping arrangements.
  13. I love the Mayhem commercials, too!
  14. I did that a bit, and it did help, but ultimately, the vertigo went away as suddenly and inexplicably as it arrived. Even more entertaining than almost controlling it -- if I rolled over to the right quickly enough, it took a second or two for the vertigo to "catch up" with me. I'm a scientist, so the science behind that benign positional vertigo fascinates me.
  15. I watched The Wedding Singer YESTERDAY! because of this thread. Also, I have to say YESTERDAY! like Adam Sandler does in the movie.
  16. Are they really planning a sequel? If any movie does NOT need a sequel, this is it.
  17. Four grandparents in a bed was in the Gene Wilder version, too.
  18. I didn't either, until someone pointed it out to me. So now that Jordan's has been pointed out, I won't be able to miss it. But I still won't hold it against him, any more than I would facial shape or position of eyes. Hairdos, clothing choices, swaying, leaning -- things that can be easily "fixed" are fair game to me.
  19. I didn’t notice a lisp, but even if I had, I figure that’s maybe something that can’t be helped, like Tom Brokaw’s speech impediment.
  20. Instaget FJ for me today, having suffered with a brief episode of vertigo a few years ago. It was kind of fun -- I could almost control it. I only got dizzy when I turned my head to the right (or rolled over onto my right side at night). It's very interesting when the world is spinning and you're lying in bed! Anyway, the only TS I got was The Bells -- I was shouting it at my TV, but I guess they didn't hear me. Not sad to see the back of Ali, and I look forward to another day of the new champ's amazing cheekbones.
  21. I love my iPhone and iPad, too, but I don't need Alexa listening in all the time. I don't need a refrigerator to tell me what food I have (or need). I have to walk to the washer and dryer to put clothes in anyway, so there's no point (to me) in being able to talk to them and tell them what cycle I want. My manual thermostat works just fine, as do the manual locks on my doors. I do have wi-fi in my house, but it's erratic at best (I've lost count of how many times I've had to reset the modem on this occasionally windy, rainy day), so even if I had those smart devices, they wouldn't work half the time.
