And the goat wins!
-
I heart Tony Shalhoub.
-
Eventually, but initially, not so much.
-
Nathan Lane did not look amused by the goat.

One returning TAR team is intriguing. I hope they’re still as intense as they used to be.
-
I’ll hold off on my gruesome decision until the teams are announced.

Sort of like when TAR fans meet Phil, they want to be eliminated. -
The Preamble is from Schoolhouse Rock.

Life imitating art? https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/national/article212833294.html Not a dead seal, but close enough!

You must watch Singin' In The Rain! I can't just say it -- I have to sing it, like in the movie*. Moses supposes his toeses are roses, but Moses supposes erroneously. For Moses he knowses his toeses aren't roses, as Moses supposes his toeses to be. *Also like the Preamble to the Constitution. Have to sing that, too. :)

I think you’re right. I loved The Banana Splits.

The kid in the "unreasonably narrow fast-food drive-through" commercial reminds me a lot of Justin Long.

Seconded for the order of the Narnia books!

David is annoying. I am sad that he won. But I did finally figure out who the previous champ reminds me of -- Dr. Jacques Bailly, the guy who pronounces the words for the National Spelling Bee. Though perhaps a younger Dr. Bailly. In fact, both the previous champ and the new champ looked like kids playing dress-up. New champ was introduced as a student -- a high school student? FJ was an instaget for me, and I even knew that it was Hundred Acre Wood and not Pooh Forest or One Hundred Acre Wood or any other permutation thereof. @illdoc, if I could like your post more than once, I would! And @opus, I'd like your post more than once, too -- I totally pre-called Rocky! I also got the TS/missed DD of South Dakota, Vermont, God is dead, 25 or 6 to 4, and South Lawn.

One of the parts that creeps me out about the causeway, in addition to no shoulders, is the very low railings. Or have they been raised? It's been a few years since I've been there, but I like the railings on my bridge-like structures to be a little bit higher than they were the last time I crossed that causeway. I did record last night -- I'll have to go back and see how Alex pronounced Pontchartrain. I was at my parents' house, which was full of people, and while we all watched, there was a lot of chatter, too, so I missed some things.

I’m not at home, so I didn’t get tot write down my TS, but it seemed like there were an awful lot of them. I was also sad (and a little surprised) that Beverly Hillbillies and Carroll O’Connor were TS, though. For FJ, “avi” led me to birds, which led me to ornithology. But it still was just a guess. And I agree that the causeway over Ponchartrain is terrifying! Pretty cool, but terrifying.

Trailers & New Movies: Coming Soon to a Cinema Near You!

If you want all Redford all the time, watch "All Is Lost". He's remarkable. -
Duh. Maybe I should pay more attention to the category!

Me, too! Also, she didn't sway like Michelle did, though Michelle toned it down a bit for the second round. FJ was an instaget for me tonight as well. I also got the TS of recovered, deacon, Jim, Blackmun, and and. Which is a weird way to end a sentence. :) Eclipse should have had a BMS -- you can have a solar or a lunar eclipse. Solar eclipses come at the new moon -- at the full moon, the moon is opposite the sun in the sky. Did the Jurassic Park clue specify which movie? I was terribly confused, since there was no military at the end of the first one, and I didn't recall seeing a number after the title of the movie in the clue.

I never in a million years would have gotten FJ today, but I thought of y'all when Alex got to pronounce Hercule Poirot! And I laughed. The new champ can stop putting a smiley face in the O of his name, but otherwise, I didn't notice anything egregious about him. I did shout (repeatedly), "Skyjacking!" for his first DD, but alas, he didn't hear me. The only TS I wrote down was Brazil.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Browncoat replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Well, just the one that I know of. She does a fair number of presentations where I work, and I can barely stand to listen to her. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice. Our local news and weather readers have started with the up-speak now, too. Tell me the weather forecast, don't ask me! -
Until the next installment, when Thor will remember the advice to go for the head after time has been reversed and everyone's been un-dusted, and will kill Thanos with a head shot.

Maybe it was! Maybe it was the infamous Emma Rosenbaum!
