  1. Oddly invested in how they continue this Domingo saga. Maybe next time it's the twins' birthday party and Domingo hooks up with Matt's mom?? Any other ideas? What other occasions would your friends do a cringe music number?
  2. Wow, did SNL predict Soto signing with the Mets?! (At 6:37)
  3. A "*gritty*" historical drama? Honestly, sounds depressing just from the way the marketing has described it so far.
  4. Yeah, at the end of the episode, I was like, "Wow, they really just made the NYPD completely useless here." And no one was monitoring the helicopter on the roof, or the roof at all?? So it looks like they done with Robyn and her ex. They still never really explained how he was suddenly okay with her 'equalizing' gig. Anyway - I like Dante being back, but isn't he supposed to be on the other side of the country? I just wonder how they bring him back to NYC permanently. I usually don't pay too much attention to the C-plots, but Harry and Mel were cute this time. Fashion highlights: Robyn and Dee's outfits.
  5. Same here. Even though I'd heard "Bar Song", I'm not at all familiar with Shaboozey; I didn't realize he was a full-on Country artist. He sounds good! Might have to put him on my very short list of Country music exceptions.

Yeah, mileage varies (they're both pretty). But then they seem to also be using the other meaning of "fair" - as in, 'just' or 'legitimate'.
  7. Didn't realize there were so many options for 'vampire good guys' in Marvel! But the line was vague enough to fit either, I think.
  8. Sorry, but also LOL! Now imagine the same scenario, but you're a kid the same-ish age as Culkin. (Me; talking about me.)
  9. A joyous holiday season turns into a cartel Christmas for McCall, whose romantic life reaches an inflection point when a crime syndicate holds her, Dante and her ex-husband, Miles (Stephen Bishop), captive in a hospital takeover. Also, Harry strives to break his years-long track record of giving Mel awful holiday presents. Airdate: December 8, 2024
  10. I think either would be fine; But maybe milk chocolate to be a sweet counter to the salty chips and PB.
  11. Tighter focus, and tighter writing. So far, this show hasn't given me any reasons to care about these side characters if they're not in a scene with Alec. (Okay, except maybe Kylie.)
  12. My very belated quick takes: Amazing! They managed to make the best Spider-man movie twice in a row! Animation was gorgeous. (Hope the animators get better working conditions, though.) I'm sure there were literally a hundred cameos/easter eggs I missed, but the ones I did recognize I enjoyed. Speaking of; Miles saying he'd "Pay good money" to see "a vampire good guy" - that's got to be an indirect reference to Blade, right? (And maybe even more indirectly a reference to the next Blade movie that taking forever to actually happen?) I'm sure they'll answer this in the next movie, but does a captain always have to die? I say 'no', because Miles already had his "Uncle Ben" moment with his uncle Aaron dying -- give the kid a break! I fully support Miles getting to keep two parents even if it breaks the multiverse, or whatever. (I don't think it will, though.) ---- And here's the HISHE for resurrecting this topic:
  13. I don't think so. Maybe?? I'll have to look up their last episodes.
  14. Another showrunner interview; this one teases a few upcoming storylines as well: https://www.tvinsider.com/1164875/the-irrational-alec-rose-marisa-relationships-father-season-2/
  15. Showrunner interview about the fall finale: https://tvline.com/interviews/the-irrational-season-2-episode-8-recap-stan-by-me-1235383804/ excerpt:
  16. I really wish the writing was better; not going to point out the numerous holes, but the part with flushing out the other superfan was especially dumb. And then there's the side plots I don't care about. But at least the RAs weren't in this one much? Almost thought Kylie wasn't going to be in this one at all; but I guess that's the trade-off for having Rose in the episode. Yes! And then delete a couple other characters.
  17. 😭 Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten about that. Not that I'm any good at predicting this stuff, but I think they can still squeeze out another season after this one. CBS tends to hang on to its established shows. It might depend on how good new show, Watson does.

It's giving - 'Snow White & the Huntsman' vibes, with 'rally the troops and take the kingdom back'. Did they delete the prince from the story? Yeah, there's a love interest there, who I assume gives the 'true love's kiss', but is he supposed to be the Prince? I do like the little bit of the new song for Zegler that they played. I could nitpick, but overall Snow White and the evil Queen look fine; the problem is that they want to match the costumes to the look from the animated version, and I don't think what looked fine in 2D 80+ years ago looks good on an actual human now. Sorry, not sold on Gadot as the Evil Queen; especially compared to the several better live action versions that have come before her. Not really sold on the CGI dwarves either; but I don't think there was any perfect solution, no matter which way Disney went with them. Probably too late now, but IMHO, if Disney wants this to do well they need(ed) to (make) market this for the kids and family market; not the nostalgia market.
  19. Ha! Yeah, I forgot to mention that. If you know anything about black hairstyling, it was extra ridiculous. Not to mention, Robyn putting back on the exact same outfit at the end for some reason! (I know the BTS reasons.)
  20. Nope; it was introduced in the Season 2 premiere.
  21. I wish this show (but it's a general problem for most procedurals) wouldn't feel the need to have everything wrapped up within a day -- or actually just hours with the way they present things. Like, I know the formula - bad guy caught/day saved/problem solved by our heroes - but the timelines are just ridiculous. Robyn being admitted into the prison in the morning, and ending up in a deathmatch with the exact person she was looking for before dinner just made me roll my eyes. But I did like that it was a new and different setting; I wish they had spent a little more time on that than Delilah's B-plot. Ugh - I don't even want to comment anymore. These writers truly suck when it comes to Robyn/Dante. Speaking of Dante; he's really being underused this season. I'd like them to bring him back to New York and have him be an official full-time member of the team, but then they'd actually have to have some progress/status update with Robyn/Dante, so I doubt that's going to happen. I don't mind Aunt Vi's storyline, but that new friend character is not her friend! 😂 No fashion highlights; but I did like the two braided hairstyles for Robyn.
  22. There's another one?? I've only seen the one for Target.
  23. I guess this one falls under "wackadoodles" -- That Tim Chalamet Lookalike contest spawned a whole bunch of copycats; I assume to try and replicate the same viral fame, or to get the celebrity to show up. (I had heard about a couple of these before, but I'm only posting about it now because someone else compiled a list, LOL.) It looks like the only one that managed any direct celebrity response was the Glen Powell one.
  24. It's new, so I'd go Media. ::shrug::
  25. Can anyone help with this random bit of trivia that resurfaced in my brain?? I'm looking for the episode or host. There was an episode where a major cast member was leaving, and every sketch was a sketch with this castmember's most famous characters. And I just can't think of which castmember it was! I want to say that it was sometime pre-Andy Samberg, if that helps at all. And I'm pretty sure it was a male castmember, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
