  1. Watching all this reminds me of a friend I had in college. Her Dad was her personal doctor and OB?GYN, and she saw nothing wrong with it! It squicked me out in all kinds of ways, but she was all like, 'no big deal." She never seemed traumatized or anything, but I would look at that as incest. The girls are reacting the same way, it was no big deal. He did it, he got some sort of rehab, it's over. I understand their anger at eveyrones interpretation of events when only they know what really happened. I"m totally torn on this. I think what he did at the time was icky, but we don't know the whole circumstance, and never will. From what we've seen the last few years, he wouldn't do it now. I do call hypocrisy on making your living by having your life televised, than crying when something you don't like is made public, but I understand it. I want to know how Ben is reacting to all this.
  2. I really, really, really, really, really, really, want to know how Derick and Ben reacted to all this. And do we have confirmation they are going on a missionary trip? I haven't seen anything official.
  3. In the books, Lyanna and Ned looked the most alike. All of Cat's and Ned's kids are reddish haired except for Arya and one of the younger ones. It is commented on many times that Arya looks a lot like Lyanna. Cat was always upset because Jon looked more like Ned than Rob did (mainly because of the hair). My question....Isn't everyone dead who would know what Jon's parentage is? Only 2 Robert supporters left the battle where Lyanna was, Ned, and I think Jon Aryyn. I think the Show is heading to a reveal, but the books, not so much. If GRRM doesn't let us know who his Mom is, I'll be even more upset than i probably will be with whatever he comes up with.
  4. In the books , Roose fully expects Ramsay to kill his newborn son and any that may follow, I can't remember if in the movies Roose had a true son, but in the books, Ramsay killed him. Roose didn't seem to upset by it. I wouldn't expect TV Ramsay to be too concerned about a baby. I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer Sansa at Winterfell than Jeyne. I hate GRRM dragging out characters you haven't heard of since the first book. Ramsay's treatment of her doesn't irk me that much either, it's what is too be expected (and for him mild). yes, Sansa was treated horribly by Joffrey, but he's now dead. Ramsay has to do horrible stuff to someone we care about so his eventual downfall, or win, resonates more with the TV watchers. I wish Theon would tell her about her brothers though. The gratuitous nudity and sex doesn't usually bother me (it's not like we're talking about a civilized land here), but the sand snake one did. I get she needed to needle him some before giving him the antecdote, but the flashing was pretty unnecessary. I don't get why she saved him though (besides narrative, what is her personal reason?).
  5. What Josh did was wrong, but I can understand his actions. He's the oldest, couldn't go to his parents with what was going on with his body, had no friends or teachers to talk to, and his dad fondles his mom in front of him all the time. Now, he knew it was wrong enough to do it when they were sleeping. I believe because of the age it happened, and his upbringing, it was a teenage/hormone thing and would not be a problem again. I believe he and Anna truly love each other and have a very good relationship. As for the girls, I hope something was explained to them and they were not made to feel guilty. It would explain Jana and JD's reluctance to be in relationship. The girls need to be made to feel good about themselves and what happened to them was wrong.
  6. How is walking on the counter tops, climbing trees in areas you shouldn't, swinging from bell hop thingys, riding bikes and scooters in the house and all the other stuff considered being a good kid?
  7. Maester Aemon was not telling Jon to kill any real boy. I might be getting confused with the book, but he was referencing a previous conversation (I think, it was probably just a longer story in the book) with Jon about how Jon needed to kill the boy in himself and let the adult out. They didnt' explain it as well, but that is what he was telling Jon to do last night, he was not condoning murder. Who is JonCon? I wish Jorah had made a comment along the lines "damn, he's a lot bigger" or something when they saw Drogon. Also, when they are approaching the colleseum thing from a distance, you can see a whole bunch of stone men standing at the very top
  8. Am I the only one that thought Riker's last dance was a hot mess? There were several mistakes and missteps. The best dances were both of Rumors and Nastia's last one. None of the others should have got perfect scores. Worried because every time I've called for Rumor, I've gotten straight through
  9. Rumer and Val's rumba is the first one I've ever seen I actually enjoyed, I thought it was great. Nastia's trio dance was the best, she has way more chemistry with Sasha than Derrick. I agree with everyone else, Ryker and his partner are way to frenetic.
  10. I actually gasped at the final 2. The next eliminations really need to be in this order, Chris, Robert, Noah (or vice versa on last two). Ryker cracks me up, but his hair drives me crazy and I can't get over it. I honestly thought it was going to be Rumor and Willow in final 3. Noah is dancing - if you watch his right leg, he is doing all the right things. His lack of left leg makes it impossible to do the same on that side, though he tries. I like Derek (I think he's a great choreogrpaher and does his best for his partners), but I loved that Nastia had more chemistry with Sasha.
  11. Donna should be Capaldi's companion - they would be perfect together. I will never understand why TPTB didn't have her walking out of the church with the library guy either.
  12. Time being wonky is shown no better than with Gilly's baby. All the other kids are ageing (see Robin tyring to fight with swords last epi), but baby is not. I thought Jon actually talked to Bran and Bran asked him not to stop him. I can't really remember
  13. In the books, the only Stark child known to be alive for sure is Sansa, and no one knows where she is...right? Arya has been missing, and I think everyone pretty much knows that Jeyne isn't her at Winterfell. On the show, Jon knows that Bran and Rickon are alive, he's about to know that Sansa is in Winterfell - will he tell her about Bran and Rickon? That will totally change her game plan.Brienne knows Arya is alive - is she going to share that knowledge? That will be a huge change from the books where everyone assumes only 1 Stark is alive, to all of them but Rob are.
  14. I need to re-read the last books again. I don't remember Varys killing Kevan, or the hidden sand snake. It might be because I was so bored by people I didn't care about and over description. So glad that things that took a gajillion pages (Jon's election) are only taking 5 minutes.
  15. Not sure this is right place, but since we're talking about dragons, the dragons in the past; were they controlled, or did they just love their dad/mom a lot? What did they do with them when they weren't riding them? How did they keep them controlled, or from running havoc? Were they like horses that only answered to their dad/mom?
  16. Dragon's haven't been around in hundreds of years, no one is going to remember how to fight them. From the people we've been introduced to, the list of people who may be able to figure it out are Jamie, Jon, Stannis, and Tyrion. Not that other's aren't smart enough, they just wouldn't think that way (Varys comes to mind). Tyrion will most likely be aligned with Dany, so he wouldn't do it, Jon might also be with her - or see the dragons as a way of defeating the walkers. Jamie and Stannis would have the most motivation to figure out how to take out a dragon.
  17. I had mixed reactions to the "is it Mance, is it not Mance" burning. From his speech, I'd say it was Mance, from the way he acted once the flames started, I'd say it was Rattleshirt (or replacement). Stannis was much easier to dislike in the books. In the show, the only reason I don't like him is because he killed his brother with black magic. The fact that he saved the Knight's makes me like him. I still don't agree with his claim to the throne. Robert took the throne by force, so a brother being next in line doesn't work for me because their parents weren't the rulers. Yes, Cersei's kids aren't technically the correct heirs either, but as far as 99.9 percent of Westero's is concerned, they are, untill a Targaryian shows up. I hope the show gives all the religions some explanation. I waiver back and forth over Melisandre and the "One, true god" stuff. I'll think she's full of it, but then something real of magical happens and I'll think she totally has it. Then, is this god good or bad? Yes, it likes sacrifices by fire, but then it brought what's his name back a gajillion times from the dead. I know the point is probably there is no clear cut good or bad in the gods, I just don't like the ambiguity.
  18. For some reason, I just have never bought that Sansa was getting all smart and political. I don't know why, I think I've never got over her shallowness and stupidity at Kings Landing.
  19. I say the 70 hours is total, not from when she got to the hospital. I agree with all of you, she is extremely lucky. I know so many women who have their plans and come hell or high water that is what is going to happen. I also never understand why some women are so upset when they don't experience the birth the way they wanted. So many don't understand that a healthy baby and mommy are the happy outcome. I do understand PPD as I suffered from it, but the disappointment seems different. Every think I've ever read, been told, have heard is that the baby is coming out of you 24 hours after water breakage; any sign of meconium and baby is coming out immediately! With contractions 1 minute apart and the baby in distress, whny would you continue to put your baby and yoruself in danger?
  20. Has she gone home yet? I wonder which J'slave was the taking video in the picture of Jill with baby dilly on her stomach?
  21. They have to have had a majority of shots since they have travelled over seas.
  22. Some of the boys had cleaning tasks, bathroom, living room, playroom were all given to boys. What interested me is that Michelle followed Josie around the whole time she was picking stuff up. I have NEVER seen Michelle spend that much time with a kid who wasn't nursing, let alone follow one around while they are doing their "juristictions". she is never going to let that girl go.
  23. Have to admit that Cathy's reaction had me tear up. I love those kind of things. I don't mind that Dan went. She wanted to know that day, just like everyone else Derrick and Jill couldn't get there the same day, but Dan could. Good compromise to me. She was in Nebraska after all. Remember, this episode all took place in one day.
  24. How can you tell if a man is leading? There are obviously costume "rules." There is one dance - it's a ballroom one I think - where the women always have 2 flowy things coming down their backs. I can never understand how the men don't get tangled in them. There is another one - latin one I think - where the women have a ton of braclets on. What are the costume rules, and why (besides the obvious "local/historical" signifigance).
