  1. The mothership is bigger. In the first episode at least 4 people get in it at the beginning, Flynn, Trashcan Man and 2 goons. Until this last episode, The team have only actually "failed" one mission - getting the key from Bonnie. Yes, events they've gone back to haven't happened like we know, but they still basically happened and didn't cause any catastrophic changes. The biggest change they had was the Hindenburg (people survived who shouldn't have), and there wasn't much more they could have done unless they tackled the rope guys and made them drop the ropes so they got grounded....or shot it. I think shooting a balloon full of people to maintain history would be a lot harder though. Nothing changed historically because of the Lincoln and Alamo adventures (yes, the actual events are different, but from history's view, time marched on as we know it), but no one survived or died who shouldn't have. I thought Lucy looked like Snow White. It distracted me through the whole episode.
  2. Last night I watched the video where Derick and Jill talk about the dangers in CA. I couldn't believe the lack of reactions/sympathy/anything from those listening to the story. When Derick put his arm around Jill, it looked like something scripted and his hand just kind of hung there instead of touching her arm, or rubbing it or something normal. They barely looked at each other. I'm totally confused about Derick. He spent 2 years in Nepal right? He was healthy there, and did actual work, he showed he had some brains and opinions - what happened to that young man?
  3. The Mother ship is bigger than the lifeboat
  4. After watching the Rittenhouse episode....couldn't another team be sent back -once the machines are back-to fix the mistakes team RuLuWy make? They can't go back to a time they are already in, but that doesn't mean someone else can't go and fix it? It could add a whole other season on,. New team goes back, interacts with RuLuWy and Flynn and so we'd still have main cast, but they would be totally flummoxed by these new people and have to figure out how to get what needs to happen, happen (the ropes drag through the water, Booth kills Lincoln, Alamo guy writes letter, etc.). Especially since last night episode, A LOT of things got changed. Rittenhouse, Arnold and Cornwallis killed, Rufus potentially starting a slave revolt, these have to have repercussion down the road.
  5. Add me to those who thought Rittenhouse was Franklin too. I thought, "ah, hell no, they're going to make Ben a bad guy!" This is the first episode I thought they failed with Lucy's hair. When they've gone back before (the French war and Alamo episodes), they've had her hair pulled back. I've been wondering why they always have such urgency in leaving right after Flynn before, but tonight finally got it. If he makes it back before the leave, whatever he did is now history and they wouldn't know any different. I feel kind of duh. Rufus whacking the white guy might also have repurcussions for slavery in the future. Shouldn't Lucy know the name Rittenhouse since she's an historian?
  6. Just rewatched so I could pick up connections in things. In the "Nixon" episode, Flynn reads from Lucy's diary to Wyatt that his wife was found strangled - so we have a body. In the "Alamo" episode, they were willing to replace him fairly easily, so don't think he has a connection to Ritten house. Head NSA lady knows the importance of teams, so I think that was the reason she wanted to keep him on board.
  7. Another thing I like about this episode is that it wasn't an event that would be world changing if the outcome was changed. Why does Lucy get mad at Wyatt for saying they bought hooch? LOVE the look Wyatt gives the traitor when he hits on Lucy.
  8. I can't think TOO much about time paradoxes, and try not to because hey, science FICTION! I tend to look at Timeless' time travel rules like Days of Future Past - only the person(s) going back to the past remember all the history between the past travel date and the date they left in the present, everyone else only knows history from the time the past was messed with. On Timeless it would make more sense if the time travelers start to forget the original past just so their brains don't explode. I can see Wyatts wife being saved - but they're divorced. Weren't they fighting?
  9. Bonnie was actually the larger than life personality in the Bonnie and Clyde couple. There is also debate over how sexual their relationship was (I forget why, but there is legitimate arguments that they rarely, if ever, had sex). I'm glad that they don't do the "would you kill Hitler" scenario every episode. I agree with above that Jessica is going to show up at the worst time for Lucy and Wyatt. Rufus is gonna be Hella pissed if his girlfriend gets hurt by Mason/Rittenhouse.
  10. I have no problem with the mismatched stockings either. I had just meant to imply that they are such "pinterest" followers, it didn't go with her artsy crafty stuff she usually does. Thinking about having 19 stockings actually kind of makes me laugh that they didn't take advantage of yet another way to show Meeschelles specialness by tacking up a new stocking each time.
  11. First....I'm really surprised she doesn't have matching stockings. Second.....I thought they didn't do the stocking/santa/gift stuff?
  12. I say he's growing his hair long and doing the facial hair thing so he can more accurately portray Jesus in some play :). Why he looks so thin....I had the same surgery he did and he should be waaaaayyyyyyyy over the painful part - that only lasts for about a month at most.
  13. I have no problem with Jessa having another so soon. I know lots of people who have 2 kids18mos-2 years apart. Nothing weird about it. I will freak if a third follows as quickly. Also, It looks to me like Ben and Jessa have a pretty healthy relationship going. This cracks me up because their courtship was the one that they looked the most uncomfortable around each other, and that thye didn't even like each other. She does cook, I've seen lots of videos of her cooking. ETA: I had to rush the above. I meant with Jessa's cooking, she doesn't NOT cook. We had our wedding guests change from wedding to reception. Wedding was semi-formal in a church. Reception was casual, in my parents beautiful backyard, with traditional southern barbecue, no band or dj, no set schedule. We aren't party people and jusat wanted something relaxing.
  14. Finally watched on You Tube. The sound might have been wonky because JB's voice sounded higher than it normally does. You would never know with the women (except Jana) because they always talk high and breathy. It was nice to see a guy have enough friends to fill out his side with out the help of the Duggar boys (except JD). Was there only ONE Duggar sister not in the wedding party?!? That's a pretty crappy thing to do. All the brouhaha over Josie being a flower girl. Big Whoop. She was a flower girl in Jills wedding. Maybe the special snowflake was made a big deal cause she was by herself? That whole thing was just plain weird. I think Josie is really the only kid Mechelle really slightly cares about, and she's determined to keep her infantile as long as possible. Why didn't the bridesmaids just switch the hand they were holding the flowers with when meeting up with the groomsmen? Could the Duggar women have been any more uncomfortable looking with Jeremy's groomsmen? It was just painful to watch them cringe away from the men. How sad, not being able to be comfortable around men who you haven't known since you were 2. I'm gonna have to watch again at home. because I watched on my phone and it was really dark. It was kind of weird not seeing Jinger have any interaction with anyone in her family except JB and Mechelle a little. I know they edited this in like 5 minutes, but it was just strange. Only one of the boys said anything about her moving out, and she didn't have any special moments with her sisters. Maybe Jana is secretly married, so when Mechelle said "3" daughters, she forgot we weren't supposed to know about Jana. OR, maybe she's such an idiot she now counts Anna as a daughter (since she's lived in their house for so long) and thinks its awesome her daughter married her son!
  15. Loved Jingers's flowers - the bouquets and the bouteneirres. I believe this is the first ever Duggar wedding (parents, smug, older girls) where the bride actually had her hair styled nicely and not just like it usually is and full of dead ends. Ben didn't rush off to kiss Jessa? I too am interested in where I can watch the show since we don't have cable anymore.
  16. I thought Terra was amazing and I would really have liked her to stay over Jana. James and Sharnas dances were amazing! The football player did have a major slip in his first dance, and I didn't think the samba was all that great - but I love hime and think he's awesome. Poor Laurie. She has more professionalism in her little finger than the majority of adults in the world. I was very choked up during her dance. My final would be Laurie, James, Terra and the football player whose name I can never remember. Chick who danced with James and Sharna totally pulls focus from the celebrity and is a total fame whore.
  17. I posted this in one of the episode threads, but can't find it. Shouldn't Flynn know they are going to stop him? He has Lucy's diary for freaks sake! He should know from reading it that they show up and whatever nefarious plan he has gets stopped, but he looks so shocked when it happens. Lucy hasn't written the diary yet, so the one he has should have what we are seeing happen. Let's say though that they say the diary was written before everyone mucked about in the past - than there wouldn't be a diary because Lucy wouldn't have gone back. Even if it was written between journeys, he should still know his plans fall through. My brain is starting to hurt.
  18. I fangirled that the meeting between the King and Churchill looked like the same room from "The Queen" that was used for her meeting with Blair. I'm curious about the relationships they're showing with Elizabeth/Phillip and the kids. I was under the impression the parents were always kind of cold fish; but the first episode makes it look like they were loving parents until duty called (well, Phillip still looks like he's trying to be a loving parent after). Yet another show to add to the "drink whenever you see an actor who's been in Downton/Doctor/GoT.
  19. rab01, I think they kind of have to do the harem thing because that sets up the whole future story line with the burned face guy (I can't remember his name right now). I found it unbelievable Neegan would have returned Carl also. I have to say, I kind of understand people not wanting to watch after what happened to Glenn. I stopped reading the comic books after that happened. I kind of speed read them now, but the last issue we got was the one with Carl and the chick in the jail cell., I'm not real clear about plot points after the 3 communities come together to take down Neegan.
  20. Since it's time travel, there doesn't need to be an age gap. Question: If Flynn is using Lucy's diary, why is he also so pissed when they beat him at something? So far they've changed every outcome he's been going for...shouldn't he already know that? And since it seems that part of the continual time travel is because the last mission didn't work, shouldn't the diary not have all the destinations he needs to go to, or missions he needs to complete? You can argue that the diary is from the original time line, thus doesn't show the changes necessary, but he is obviously using the diary for every mission. I just don't get his frustration about missions failing.
  21. A lot of people are thinking of leaving the show because of the head smashing incident saying it was to gruesome, and that they are ok with zombie violence, but not human on human. I wonder how the show runners will deal with this because pretty much from now on, the books deal more with humans fighting humans and the struggle to rebuild communities. The people have pretty much figured out how to deal with the zombies now, and pretty much just come across as a hinderance, not the huge threat they once were. I've told my friends who were disgusted with what happened that it was pretty much a one and done thing, and that as far as I could recall, there wasn't any thing after the head smashing that was as gruesome. I wonder now if they are going to follow the Carl/Neegan storyline. At this stage in the show, Carl as matured way beyond the Carl in the comic books. The Carl on the show would never do what the Carl in the comic books is going to do. The only way I can see it happening is that Rick won't (or appears to not want to) go rescue Daryl. Carl either gets mad, or realizes the dilemma his dad is in and goes to try and get Daryl himself. I really liked the Carl/Neegan dynamic and hope they find a way to keep it in.
  22. This is the first costume that Amber actually looked good in. So many had their best dances tonight; Amber, Ryan, Ice. Terra is doing awesome. I think Allison screwed up Babyface. She rushed him to the spotlight that first time and it was all downhill from there. They should have had a backup plan to have all the lights come up if they missed their first mark. She put way too much pressure on him. I think Calvin's partner messed up a couple of times too. The car driver is doing fantastic! The finale is going to be amazing!
  23. What was up with Kim and Tom and the awkward interview about her last name? There isn't trouble in paradise already is there? I hope not!
