  1. I'm pretty sure he was imagining it than. I was wondering about the time the guy knocked on the door and it took them a long time to answer....if anything went down, that is when I think it did. What do you think Dr. Wife is going to do now that she's pretty sure hubby cheated on her?
  2. In an OKmagazine interview Jill described being excited about this season of life. great, (not) she's using her mom's terms. sigh
  3. Jill looks like she's been really sick with "morning sickness" in the second baby bump picture. Love the black and white dress. 11 weeks two days, pregnancy time starts on the first day of your last period - definitely before the marriage.
  4. I don't know why, but their wearing of Arkansas Razorback fan gear, putting Razorback signs and stickers all over and generally being a fan annoys me. Thought they didn't watch TV? At least they've never said anything about watching sports. We know that none of their kids are going to go to the "heathen" school, the parents didn't go. It's just a little hypocritical to me.
  5. rewatching now. My second take on the Ben ambush; Ben looked happier than I thought. When boob first says it, he looks excitedly at Jessa, and after all is said and done, he and Jessa give a little "squee" to each other. Joyanna's pursed lips when Jana says that their mom is kind pretty much says it all.
  6. Never thought I'd say this....Poor Ben! He looked like he was going to puke when JB offered him to a place to stay and come up permanantly. He had no clue what to say. I really think that he was looking to Dad to give him an out, and instead Dad said "lets doi it!" Jessa looks like she has a secret joke the whole time she is on. The 2 girls right over Josie looked so not thrilled when Derrick announced their engagement. They didn't clap, and looked down right sad. Jill is definitely the favorite. Love that JB had a kid hanging on him almost all the tiime. Just finished watching. Ben is so clueless and looks terrified and has no idea what he is doing. I do see a connection between Jessa and Ben, but really can't see it being a happy one after they get over their bunny rabbit banging stage.
  7. Would radioactive man really have no clue that he was in serious danger from inhaling and swallowing the plutonium? I would think a nuclear physicist would know he was SOL.
  8. Zac totally stole Kini's, oops I mean Sean's top for Heidi's Emmy's dress.
  9. In the previews for the new season, JIll doesn't seem quite as enamored with Derick anymore. He looks at her a lot, but she pretty much just stares right at the camera. Of course, that could be her fighting her all day morning sickness. I remember just wanting to keep looking straight, any head movements would make me wanna harf.
  10. The modern day view points are kind of funny because the older girls (especially Jill) look really uncomfortable with what they are watching. The episode with the little girl with cancer was so depressing. The little girl so obviously didn't want to be there, and could have cared less that the Duggars were there. ttoally agree about the boys....they are so cute when they are little, then they hit puberty and something happens. Exact opposite of the girls.
  11. In the previews for the upcoming season, they show Derrick and Jill in a photo shoot - presumably for the wedding. I swear they are wearing the clothes form the baby announcement pics.
  12. Thought everyone except lion people did a pretty good job. Loved the monkey and tinman, totally agree with judges this time. So glad they are not doing horror after horror makeup, hate that. So glad to see whimsy, fun and COLOR!
  13. I was just thinking of the McCarthy era, it came after the war. Yea, the fear would have been there. totally bought the fear of homosexuality.. Did the plutonium have that kind of effect in real life?
  14. I think it's a little early for the US to be so paranoid about communism. That didn't really take off till 1944/45ish or later. I'm surprised by wonder boy's wifes reaction. I wouldn't be so upset about learning hubby plagerized that it would jeopardize my marriage. Upset that Frank is knocking boots with the housemaid.
  15. The Angel's were too weak to send back the person they were touching.
  16. Have to say, when you've been fooling around and you miss your period, you start taking pregnancy tests, so her taking tests doesn't surprise me. Also, she said she took a couple, it could have been the day before - in fact probably was, maybe even that morning. I also think that while they are happy with the news, they look a little shell shocked. They weren't using protection, but they weren't timing her cycle either is my guess.
  17. Duggars, life is not all pickles and hairspray has their announcement pictures up. I think the pics are cute -awful quick though
  18. My son was 5 weeks early and weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces. No, my dates were not wrong! I can pretty much tell you the day and time he was conceived (but I won't). I was in pregnancy clothes by 11 weeks, my stomach and hips just started spreading right away - I too was tall and thin like Jill. Just rewatched People video. I'm not convinced that her pregnancy is the total joyous thing they would lead us to believe. Their reactions are nothing like Josh and Annas were. She looks genuinely stunned, happy, but stunned as if not somethign they really were trying for (not, not trying either).
  19. It looked like Jill was showing to me too. I'm thinking the announcement is now because they are getting ready to hit the road promoting the new season, and they are trying to avoid awkward questions, surprise announcements over Jessa's engagement. I hate that they start taking pregnancy tests as soon as possible. Just chill a day or two!
  20. I don't like Clara all that much. Can't put my finger on why, just don't.
  21. So, we know Rick gets Judith back....looks like Daryl is looking for Beth at one point. Looks awesome!
  22. Whoo hoo! No Iron born! They can always have a man take the part of trying to put Myrcella on the throne. Arianne didn't make much of an impact on me because her plot came to nothing. I'm re-reading and almost there...but was she the girl on the grey horse? Cause then she's important (catalyst for Jon doing something he shouldn't)
  23. I can see GRRM having planned on making Jon Rheagar's heir, but he's taken so long and so many people think that is the case, he will now do a big "FU" and totally change it. A previous poster commented on Varys hatred of magic - because of that I can't see him backing dragons as they are the reason there is magic in the world (according to the books). There are serveral plot points that I feel the show has changed fundamentally from the books: Jon knows that Bran and Rickon are alive - that will change how he reacts to things; Balon is still alive; Sansa is looking to seduce Mr. Pervy mustache; Varys is with Tyrion; the guy who eats the honey locusts at the pits isn't with Dany (so who gets poisoned at the opening of the pit?); Rattleshirt is dead - so who does Melisandre burn? There doesn't apper to be any baby Mance - Gilly and Sam don't need to take a baby to safety anywhere; 2 of Jon's biggest supporters died at the battle on the wall in the show; and the biggest ones - Cersei and Jamie seem to be together, and Tyrion doesn't hate Jamie. As I see it, Sansa and Littlefinger have 1 or 2 chapters left from books 4 and 5, Bran has 1 chapter left, Arya and Tyrion have all of their chapters, Dany has half of her chapters, Jon, Sam, Cersei and Jamie have all of theirs. I could live with out Arianne being in the show, but want Quentyn - not only does he free the dragons, but he shows Dany that she does have some support in Westeros. I HATED the ironborn chapters, could live without those, but we probably need Victarions horn. Want Tyrion's travels REALLY condensed, though I liked all Arya's chapters. I also want fake Arya, she is kind of pivotal to Winterfell and Theon storyline. Plus it would be great to see some characters reactions when they meet her and they know who the real Arya is (maybe that is why Brienne met her in the show?) I hope the dragons become more tame. Laughed with my husband that I didn't get upset over any characters death's in the books, but got teary when Dany locked up her babies.
  24. I feel like GRRM is just tell ing everyone "F U." Thankfully, I didn't start reading the books until last year, but I would be going totally crazy. I feel like he's fleshed out and thought out this whole world, and he's decided to tell us everything about it, whether we want to or not. I can't help but comparing it to Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Clan of the Cave Bear. Can you imagine if Rowling had felt the need to write 3-4 chapters on how Cedric's home life had been and how he ended up in the Tri-wizard tournament? Or if she had written a bunch of chapters about the Dursely's life while Harry was at school? Or what if the Hunger Games had chapters on all the past champions games and their lives at home? Jean Auel's books got progressively worse, and the last one took something like 10/15 years to come out. I didn't even buy it, wasn't even all that interested, I can totally see that happening with me and Game of Thrones. Can you imagine how Harry Potter fans would have reacted if there were 5 years between books, same with The Hunger Games? GRRM has to have a contract, he chose to add 1, even 2 books to the series (unneccessarily), he chose to not jump 5 years (which I think he could easily have done if he had cut out all the extra stuff we didn't need to know). I'm not gonna say Quentyn was unnecessary, because someone had to let the dragons out, but we didn't need all the chapters explaining him. I would have been happy with "I'm the son of Dorn here to fulfill our promise to your father" type thing. It could easily have been explained in 1 or 2 paragraphs. The Ironborn stuff puts me to sleep. I'm guessing there is something with them at the end, but I don't need to know all this stuff. GRRM seems to have not realized the rule, "if you show a gun in the first 10 minutes, you need to be sure it is used by the end" rule. He just keeps introducing stuff and not wrapping up what he started. Book 1 was great, about 1/2 of book 2 was good, books 3 and 4 could so easily have been condensed to 1 book. sigh.
