  1. These 2 episodes were the first time I could honestly say that Jessa looked interested in Ben. She looked at him for a long time, made eye contact with him, just seemed more comfortable. It's also the first time I've seen Ben be comfortable in front of the cameras. He seemed very natural with the kids, calm and confident. It was a nice change from his usual deer in the headlights look.
  2. I guess I'm the only person who liked the idea of the handcuff thing? I thought the obstacle course was stupid, and they should have had them cook a real meal instead of just making sandwiches. I agree that the participants were so not into it and thought it was stupid. In the arrow challenge, Derrick and Jill didn't talk to each other very well - in fact in almost the whole thing, they didn't really talk to each other very well.
  3. Is it just me, or have them been some weird songs this year? 2 of Jonathons songs didn't even sound like the type they were supposed to be (the tango and tonights). There was another song tonight that didn't sound right either. Loved Carlton, the duck chick and surprisingly Lea's. I really hate the Rumba and usually don't watch those, just FF through them.
  4. Just started watching. Like a previous poster, I'm getting the "Knights Tale" vibe. Lets say its about this time period, but make it pretty and give it a cool sound track so the kiddies will like it. The totally strapless gowns do bother me, but I understand it.
  5. I'm surprised there hasn't been an outcry about the gay scenes - they've been pretty explicit. Seems like a simple kiss between 2 same sex people had advertisors pulling plugs left and right. I like that there is a murder of the week as well as the 2 season long murders, so it's not so Law and Order.
  6. Ten is my favorite - but that might be because I've developed a thing for David Tenant. Or maybe I've developed a thing for David Tenant because of the Tenth Doctor. The Tenth Doctor only just beats out the Eleventh though. Matt just delivered those lines so awesomely and I loved his childish enthusiasm and joy in everything. My favorite Doctor/companion is 11, Amy and Rory. My son is conflicted. His favorite Doctor is the Eleventh, (though he just told me it might become 12 soon), but his favortie companion is Rose. Neither one of us likes Clara, though I like her better with 12. I would have liked River better with 10, and agree would love to see her with 12.
  7. Jana and Joy were being sarcastic when they were talking about the toes being covered. I loved Anna's face when they were planning the "gift" and Josh was totally absorbed in his phone. She shot him some serious shade.
  8. This was the first night I liked Michael. He actually did a decent job and the jokey stuff was toned down. Poor Randy, he always looked so intense when not dancing. I thought Lea was going to fall out of her top. Agree, those 2 girls did not deserve 10s. Jonathons song was horrible. I'm impressed she could choreograph anythingto it. It was not a tango tune. And how awesome is Tommy?!? I can never recognize Betsy when she doesn't have her hair all frizzed out!
  9. Karina's comment to Randy made me laugh at loud and DS asked, "what?" Had to tell him he wouldn't get it. Karina's comment...."It's pow so half the women in the front row get pregnant!"
  10. When Rory and Amy get zapped back in time, why can't the Doctor just go further down their timeline to get them?
  11. Questions about plots and events that don't add up, don't make sense, or are just not understood. At the very beginning of the first part of "The End of Time," the 10th Doctor has just arrived from marrying Queen Elizabeth the first. "Day of the Doctor" spends time around those events with both 10th and 11th Doctor. Shouldn't the Doctors guilt over Gallifrey have disappeared? The whole thing with Timothy Dalton shouldn't have happened.
  12. I really hope Korina has a spectacular fall. Emily should have won. She delivered what the client wanted, used a designer the client liked as a starting point, ,and did a different design.
  13. I liked that the doll won. Makenzie never said it had to be scary, they had to make a clown using their childhood fears as a starting point. The makeup was beautiful and the hair thing brillant (that always freaks me out on dolls). my next pick would have been the tornado one.
  14. When Michelle was reading her "letter" (it was on a tablet), she had never seen those words before and was reading something someone had written for her. Her pauses were just in weird places. There was this one place at the end where she read, "and do Derrick............good and not evil" I nearly cracked up laughing. I now see that Jill and Jana have no idea how to show emotion to anyone. Jill's "how sweet" with everything is exactly how she responds to Derrick. She even responded that way when Joy was losing it. Not a criticism...just an observation. I liked the first 2 dresses the best. Michelle was actually holding Michael, Marcus, I can't remember. Poor Ben - who doesn't know how to make S'mores by the time they are 19? Especially if you live in a rural area? I think he has the beard because of Derricks beard, maybe something said by Jessa, or he's trying to look older or something.
  15. About the tape measure - for me it was more that he didn't know how to keep it from not flopping around (pushing the button down).
  16. Michelle is all about babies. Once the kid hits 6 months, or can actually move on its own, she has no interest. I think she does love babies, but only babies, not children. Jessa saying she might be a mom in a couple of years made me laugh. They'll be doing it so often, she'll be pregnant in under 6 months! I was thinking the same thing about the camera - it's way expensive!
  17. JB still seems so conflicted about Ben, and they keep saying, "too move this along.." I'm amazed that they are letting Jessa marry him. While I agree with it's crappy to make him into slave labor....what 19 year old doesn't know how to use a measuring tape? Hell, my son knew how to use one by the time he was 6! Michelle seems fairly convinced that Ben and Jessa are right for each other. I think she is transferring her lust for him into the situation.
  18. I think this is the most relaxed I've ever seen stars on the first episode. All of them (except Lolo) smiled and looked like they were having fun. Betsy's dance was 10 times better than Lolos. I can't believe she got a lower score. It looked like Randy was feeling Karina up and I know he touched her boob at least once. Surprised he was actually graceful.
  19. Hate to say it, but Seans dress was way cooler than Alexander McQueens. It cracks me up that Zac keeps calling the designers for stealing other peoples works when he totally stole Kini's cape idea for Heidi's Emmy dress. The whole thing with Sean was that he took a huge risk. Avant Garde is meant to wow once, and that is what he did. It could almost have been a bed sheet (Iike McQueens) and he would have won. Kini's look was the only one to me though that said completely Avant Garde. Count me with the "why is Sandyha still here" people. Alexander really, really, really, really needs to learn to breath through is nose. He looks like an idiot sitting there with his mouth open in EVERY SINGLE SHOT.
  20. I dont' have a problem with the registry. People are going to want to give gifts, a registry helps them pick things you would like. I do have a problem with the bride and groom saying where it is. It is the job of the family and friends to get that info out there. You KNOW mom and dad aren't going to give those the kids the things they really need, its the only way for them to get plates, pots and stuff. Now, the computer and restaraunt gift cards....yeah, no.
  21. I find it interesting listening to Jessa's wedding planning. I thought she'd be all princessy and bridezillaish, but she seems very - not normal, not down to earth, not plain, but - I don't know....basic? She doesn't want a cake, she doesn't want a big wedding...I just find it surprising. Anna is very good with her kids , it kind of surprises me. Would Jill and Derrick stop holding hands in that stupid way please!?! (hands up in the air when she is in front).
  22. Can we have a James, Jason and JoyAnna show please! Jill did say "I Love You" once back to Derick, but yeah, the rest of the time, I was like..."what's up?" I think Jill was good with the food, love that Derick is introducing James to a wider world. He seems to really like him. Why did they have to hold hands the whole time? When she was in front and they had their hands up...it was very weird and uncomfortable looking. In the talking heads I felt the connection between Jill and Derrick as usual, I see more connection between Jessa and Ben, but she is so obviously smarter than him! He should be getting over his nervousness with the camera's by now, so I can't really explain it away that way anymore.
  23. They would definitely know by now if she is having twins, IF they have gone to the doctor and got the usual 9 week/10 week ultrasound. I had a bump by the 10th week, just one baby, so she could be showing no problem.
  24. The tv crew cant' chaperone because they would WANT them to break the rules so they can film it! No way they would put a stop to it.
  25. As long as she likes it, that's all that matters. I agree with band, it's not going to hold up and it will hurt her hand. She says they have most of the wedding planned...well duh! She probably planned along with Jill, picked out her dress and everything probably the same time. Not too shocked about that.
