  1. Theresa needs to be tested for rabies. The latter, sadly. I think she's the one who once bragged about writing the "unpalatable." But rape and misogyny are right in her wheelhouse, I'm afraid.
  2. I've come to loathe Abby so much, that I've actually started rooting for the Candy Apples to win. Doesn't help that I actually tend to like her guest choreographers. Was Melissa actually trying to shelter Maddie from any criticism controversy about the Sia video, or was that just Jill's interpretation? The girl can't possibly be clueless! The show elicited a larger eye roll from me than usual when it tried to insinuate that Maddie and Kalani could somehow overhear the moms' argument from the auditorium while they were waiting backstage. Oh noes, can Maddie overcome this adversity? Uh huh, sure, show. Poor Chehon... the look on his face when Cathy got the "surprise" phone call from "TMZ" made it appear that he was questioning all of his decisions that led up to his showing up in Pittsburgh.
  3. Thank goodness Sarah said she would never apologize, and I'm glad at least some of the audience agreed. LOVE that she said she never even considered Johnny a friend to begin with - I'd wondered why he thought that because it seemed like her loyalty back in the day was with Kenny but she could give a shit about the others in that posse. I'm starting to see why Leroy and Nia hooked up. I think his image may have been protected by his friendship with Mike-Mike, but the longer ago that becomes, and the more he starts to hang out with the Challenge lifers, the more I can see that he's as big an egotistical POS as the majority of them. And let's see Leroy - so Sarah's a sociopath, the devil, fake, eats babies, is the worst human being since Hitler, and pretends to cry, but then five minutes later he sits there sad and quietly while Nia was attempting to work up some waterworks? Please. Unless this is all a ploy because he thinks a new Rivals is coming soon...
  4. I totally thought Abby was going to snap and go off on the judges for daring to critique Maddie while complementing Nia. I'm totally willing to call Abby a bad person since I can't find one redeeming thing about her. Refusing to break a contract is akin to murder? OK, crazy lady. I hate that Holly is being forced to take on the role of antagonizer this season, but at least she can have an argument without taking it to "at least I'm not fat."
  5. With those two braintrusts as parents, that kid is doomed no matter what.
  6. Dena the Destroyer is never to be trusted. I expect to see a lot more Daniel and Rafe, and a lot less (if any) Lucas and Marlena.
  7. Horrible guest star, terrible skits, lame clips (with the possible exception of Moby re-evaluating his life choices on RuPaul's Drag Race). The only redeeming thing about this past week's show is that Joel skipped his now-obligatory "aaaaanywaaaays" in a yawn voice... unless I've finally managed to tune that out after months of trying. Given the Lakers' performance this year, Nick Young would have been better served practicing on the court rather than struggling to read a teleprompter. I wonder if he understood anything he was saying. Wow, was he painful. But then, isn't this the same guy who swears a dolphin was trying to murder him?
  8. I think Jill pretty much had it nailed -- Abby was hyping up Brynn only so that it would make Maddie look even better when she beat her. Not sure why the show felt an exit storyline was needed for Lucas. He could have just stopped showing up with barely a mention, like Zach. But wow, Lucas sure did let it out how he felt about the show. Glad though that he refused his mother's request to tell Cathy off in person. I suspect his rebellious teen years aren't going be too pleasant for mom -- can't say I feel bad for her at all.
  9. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm a little worried for Andrew Garfield. It seems like Sony and now Marvel are both willing to throw him under the bus for the troubles with the franchise reboot. I should have seen it coming after some tried to blame him for the scrapped bit with Batkid at the Oscars last year. I think he was one of the better things about the movies, but if he does wind up getting the blame, it's not going to be easy to shake off a "failure" that high-profile (I put failure in quotes because were it not for the last ten minutes, I suspect there would have been at a minimum 50% less criticism of the film). I agree that I hope he can get some more work along the lines of Social Network or Never Let Me Go. But then again, George Clooney didn't take too many lumps for Batman & Robin, so hopefully Garfield will be okay.
  10. I guess "DiMera vs. Kiriakis!! Multiple generations of hate!!" was too irresistible for TIIC so they decided to just skip right to it with no regards to characterization or plot whatsoever
  11. If Nolan apologizes to Louise one more time, I'm going to reach through the TV and smack him. Does he now believe that she didn't try to murder [pregnant, as it turned out] Margaux? I can't even appreciate their campy antics because of the way he grovels every time he sees her, ever since her bullshit "you're just like all the other lying men" sob story. I get that the show is going to alternate him between men and women to remind us that he's bisexual, but if he's going to be such a moron then I wish he'd stick to guys as at least he's (mostly) aware of when they're trouble, whereas he gets completely snowed by the women he wants to rescue/bang. Speaking of Louise, do we know who her brother is? If not, I'm wondering if it's really Malcolm. I've started zoning out when she talks but I recall her mentioning a cruel brother but didn't catch his name. And if that's not who he is, then why am I supposed to care about her or her shitty family? Hey show, if you're going to spend the whole week promoting that you do death better than anyone, try not telegraphing the victim the entire episode. Unless the shocker was that the Fed got killed too?
  12. Only difference I can see in Brady's mind is those acts weren't done directly to him, whereas Theresa's lie let Brady think he nearly killed his father. I still don't think he feels all that bad about Eric's rape, except that it ruined his wedding. Plus, and I probably shouldn't bother acknowledging it since nobody on the show does, she's the one who kept insisting on getting him back on coke when alcohol wasn't cutting it for her anymore. Ultimately the onus is on him, but she was certainly the enabler and never at any point had his best interests at heart despite claiming to care about him. So really, he owes her nothing AFAIC. She'll probably just go back to torturing JJ once she and Brady are through for good. Now, why he continues to forgive Kristen is beyond me.
  13. I loathe Theresa (and find Jen Lilley to be two-note: always either smug or oops-I-crapped-my-pants) and want her character dead or shipped off to prison in California, but if the fetus theft is supposed to get me to cheer for her (she's the "good sister" after all), then it'll fail miserably. I'm still rooting for her and Kristen to fall off a cliff together. Are Hope and Aiden going to be the new Dan and Jennifer, with constant rivals and obstacles? I hope Sonny doesn't cheat on Will. TPTB seem to have very little use for all things Kiriakis, and so as soon as Sonny and Will break up I'm certain Sonny will be off the show.
  14. Walter's disdain of "normals" (aside from Paige and Cabe) is starting to remind me of Magneto. Hey Walter... kids are assholes to everyone, not just geniuses. I'm surprised nobody questioned his motivation in keeping Ralph away from his father... seemed to me he was just as, if not more concerned about Paige seeing him. I'd like Toby and Sylvester a lot better if they dialed down on the hero worship. At least Happy can occasional call him out on his shit, but I suspect the other two would blindly follow Walter if he led a "purge the humans" crusade. (seriously, he's starting to creep me out bigtime)
  15. Am I the only one who cringes every time Justin says TEEEEEEEEEEEEAMS? So grating.
  16. Damn it Jonathan, I was totally on your side on the whole religion conversion thing a few weeks ago, but now you go and pull the 2nd Amendment B.S. "Why do you hate America?" Really, dude? Pretty sure Eva just said she didn't feel comfortable with a gun in the house, not that she'd have the government lock you up. So chill, nobody's infringing on the Bill of Rights there.
  17. If Carrrrlos is serving a life sentence having confessed to AJ's murder, then it's going to be pure horseshit if the truth is revealed and Sonny gets anything less of a sentence seeing as how he will most certainly not confess. Oh how I wish that MB was secretly leaving the show, that would be a far better twist than the surprise returns of 80s villains. Much as I would love the death of Lauren, I suspect Kristen Alderson has a job on GH as long as she wants while FrankenRon remain in charge. Plus I think Ava and Franco are beyond redeeming (a friendship/romance with fucking Nina is certainly not going to make the SERIAL KILLER viable in my view). I think if anyone on the show is dying, it's one or both of the Jerome siblings.
  18. Crap, maybe that means Ron is biding his time in hopes of getting OLTL rights back. Then he can reveal that Nathan's father is... Roxy Balsom! (as in love with camp as Ron is, I have to believe he hates not having been able to go forward with that plot twist on OLTL) At least unlike Rex, Nathan appears to not give much of a shit who his father is. Fits right in with the other storylines!
  19. I can't feel bad for her when she's telling that ape that he put his father in a coma, and smiled every time she heard that his condition was deteriorating. I won't buy any redemption for her unless she confesses before her back is against the wall. As it currently stands, I hope she and Kristen obliterate each other.
  20. I really hope Derrick is just playing Frankie. I'm also very sad I'll likely not be able to see the look on his face when he finds out America had no say and was in fact blindsided by this "mission."
  21. Even if they get extra cash without the F2 contingency that still bothers me, since there's no special task needed for the bonus (make it to the end is everyone's goal... unless you're Victoria maybe). It also renders the Overwhelming NO moot since all they have to do is keep playing and they've made up for it. Derrick and Frankie may be playing hardest of everyone left, but that's independent of being selected for TA after two weeks. Why does Cody only get $500K for winning, purely because he wasn't chosen for Team America. Which is why I still suspect the F2 contingency is true.
