Your birthday? If so, Happy Belated Birthday! 🎂🎉 I agree that it’s time and feelings that really matter. The couple in my case have invited a half dozen couples they have known for many years to join them at a very nice restaurant to celebrate their 25th. I’m not sure if others are planning to bring gifts, but I thought it was appropriate.

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree about not contributing to more stuff. I think they would appreciate whichever choice I make. I guess departing from tradition is okay though I feel awkward about it. But I won’t give more stuff for tradition sake.

Has anyone attended a silver anniversary party lately? I know the customary gift items for this event, but what’s a good option for a couple who have it all? They are retired and have a house full of silver service, trays, candle holders, frames, etc. Honestly, I know they have struggled to downsize for years…so to give them more stuff….idk….it seems unnecessary, though I’m sure they would be polite about it.

I think there are specific requirements for those poses, but I also think that due to her weight loss she has an extra pouch thing on the lower belly. I can relate. I’m having mine removed surgically, after my large weight loss. I hate mine, but she could wear a slightly different suit that covers that part and tucks it in. Maybe, she’ll figure it out. I look forward to seeing more of Tiffany. She’s lost a lot, but she seems to hide behind her clothes….large, draped, she could be in form fitting, activewear that enable her to move easily and showcase her fitness. She’s a young beautiful woman so I don’t get it. A lot of focus on the face but not body. Are Saturdays her busiest work day because that’s when Daniel is out of school? Lordy…..that woman. Hope she pays him well and abides by child labor laws.

I popped in to see the thread for tonight’s episode…..didn’t see one. Just as well. I watched it tonight with no idea what was going on. I was thinking it was a dream sequence…..but noooooo…….a real nightmare. I’m out.

Well, I’m up to Season 5. Things have changed with the writing. I noticed a big disappointment in the last episode if Season 4 in which Lilly got shot. There were so many holes and just implausible scenes in that episode. Ugh….very annoying. Season 5 is starting out with similar issues. Hope things turn around. Also, earlier when Will admitted to his boss that he tracked down the guy who hit his wife and killed her accidentally and put a gun to his chest it was just overlooked, as if no big deal. That sounds like a biggie to me and not a person who just keeps working as a detective who carries a gun.

I wondered why Brittney quickly dismissed the idea of weight loss medication in favor of surgery. Really? I would think an honest attempt at something besides surgery would be ideal. Plus, Ozempic can seriously help type II diabetes. I know multiple people who have gotten excellent results. Got their blood sugar down, loss major weight and are active again. Something is off with Tammy. Man, she can be brutal to her family. I could envision becoming estranged from someone who acts like her. Totally ridiculous. Tammy hooking up with someone who doesn’t appear to prioritize health is concerning. That was an issue with Caleb too.

Well, I just had to buy another new tv. Upthread I was inquiring about one for my parents. Mine stopped working recently and I went with a Roku too. I can’t believe all the good content and all free! Roku also allows me to access Spectrum on my tv with no box. I do have Spectrum cable package, but the box for each tv is over $15 per month. And we have 4. I need to re-access my paid apps. I’ve too busy to watch that much.

This is so sad. Man, I can hardly imagine what he must be going through.

I was a big fan of this show when it originally aired. I was so excited to see it available again on Roku. I’ve started at the beginning and love it. I realize I did miss some episodes. Season 1 started in early 2004, right? Why so few cell phones used on the show?

While I was a fan of Val, I really became a fan after seeing his documentary that is a reflection by Val on his life. It’s amazing! I can’t say enough good things about it. Just incredible. I’ve seen it at least twice and will definitely watch it again this weekend. It’s narrated by his son, but with his words. Lots of actual footage from his personal vault of other stars he was friends and colleagues with. If you have time, I’d check it out.

Why do you suppose no female actors from the series participated in the documentary? It was implied they really liked the actor.

I agree about the writing. I’m particularly impressed with the writing for Dr. Charles’ character. And, the actor is such a natural in that role. His delivery with patients is so authentic.
