  1. Poor Bryce. Getting mixed up with that family is unfortunate. Amber and Trent are just way too controlling and bossy. Omg….he’ll always be connected to that family due to the child. Ugh…..I have experience with family members like Trent and Amber. They get worse as they age. So, is no one working? Trent on sabbatical, Amber in school, Liz on maternity leave, …..who’s bringing in the income?
  2. Anyone watching the new season. I just caught some of it.
  3. I definitely saw how Kody and Robyn are really annoyed with each other. Lol He seems to be tired of having to keep apologizing. She does keep repeating how disappointed she is. That can’t do much for his ego. Though he professes how in love he is, he seems very frustrated. Who are those people Robyn points out as happy with plural marriage? Kody said he didn’t know any. I was a little surprised Kody admitted to losing his virginity in college before he got married. His hair looked straight back then. When did he begin getting perms? Good thing Robyn was wearing a helmet.
  4. I just read about Wayne’s death. My goodness….it hurts my heart. Such a lovely man. I grew up a huge Osmond fan. I loved the entire family, though Donny was my favorite. RIP Wayne. You brought us so much joy with your music. https://people.com/wayne-osmond-cause-of-death-revealed-8768752 Wayne appears second in this video. Looks to be from the 70’s. If you’re a fan, this is a real treat. Hope the link works. If not, I’ll try to fix it.
  5. What stands out to me is the addiction to fast food. It’s a staple in the diet. I see them eat 2-3 times a day from a fast food bag. AND they think it's a good thing! Serve their kids the same way! They weigh over 300 pounds! I’m not sure there’s any help for people like this. By age 40, they’ll likely be dead or disabled. With all the information about health, how can they stay so clueless? And, they claim their bloodwork is good! Hard to believe.
  6. Spectrum repairman came yesterday (1 cable box not working) and I talked to him about getting my parent’s the new tv. We talked about several issues including cable costs. He says they can reduce costs by turning in the cable boxes and using wifi connection instead, but there’s a tech thing to setting it up. Gave me his cell number to call him when we’re ready. Said ok to call him on Sunday. (Is this a new service by Spectrum? Lol). Anyway, we need Roku tv to do it this way. So, that makes it easy. Now I know to get them Roku tv. My new year’s plan is to figure out all the streaming apps I’m paying for and downsize. I haven’t watched Hulu in several months.
  7. I wanted to see Matt and Caryn’s wedding. Maybe, they’ll feature it on a special, as mentioned in the article.
  8. I recently bought a new Firestick. I’ve bought quite a few. After a while they seem to stop working. My nephew uses one he says is more than 5 years old.
  9. I’m watching this now. The couple’s home seemed so sparse. It seemed void of personal belongings. Even tne yard appeared desolate. Odd.
  10. I’m working on the old one! Lol. I’m still going to get a new one though. I was going to order it online today, but decided it might be fun to go inside the store and actually look around. I haven’t browsed an electronic section in a store in about a year!
  11. My dad has hearing aids, but he refuses to wear them. My mom may need them soon.
  12. Just saw this again. Seems like a toxic relationship to me. So hardwired to overeating.
  13. Good to know. Theirs is cable, but through their wifi. It’s a hybrid I suppose. They downsized to this Select Bundle where you pick certain channels. But, it’s still considered cable. And, they are planning to return to regular cable. The costs for the good deal I got them last year has slowly eroded and now their cost is the same it was when they switched. Plus, it’s more complicated to navigate for them. I really don’t want any surprises. They have a Vizio now that’s on the blink. So, I might avoid that one for now. I’m not sure if it’s the cable box or the tv that’s the problem. I need a couple of hours to troubleshoot and haven’t had that lately.
  14. Right. I feel it will have proper input source options, just wanted to confirm it will process regular cable shows. I’m going with it. Not as many sales as I was expecting after Christmas. I should have purchased it earlier.
  15. Does anyone know if the tvs like Roku, Fire tv, TLC, etc. (I have a Fire tv and a Roku tv) are able to receive regular cable? I’m shopping for my parents. I use only streaming providers like Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc and not a paid cable service. I doubt they will use more than their Spectrum cable. I just wanted to confirm there are no quirks with any of these brands and regular cable. I have previously bought them tvs by Sony, Phillips, and Vizio, which are more expensive.
  16. I normally side with Christine and every bride should have the gown they feel beautiful in, but omg…that dress just wasn’t appropriate, imo. And, I am not conservative. Lol
  17. I do not like that woman. Imo, she is cruel. And, who doesn’t google what it means to marry a person of the Muslim faith. Horrible match, imo.
  18. True, imo. The ransom note implicates an adult in the house who knew details of John’s finances. There is no escaping that and due to that, I lost interest in a pursuit of an intruder, since mother has died and father apparently still in denial. The what ifs make for a wild array of possibilities, but it always comes back to the incriminating, lengthy note that was so completely uncharacteristic of a actual note from a kidnapper. And, linked to the pad found in the home. It was obviously bogus, so why write and leave it? I’ve started watching a little of this series. If they explain away the note, please tell where. I’ll check it out. Three episodes, right? To me, there’s a difference in handwriting analysis being inconclusive and with certainty excluding someone.
  19. I want to see season 3. So….guess I’ll have to get MAX.
  20. I’ve paid premium prices for certain shows, such as Robert Plant and Jimmy Page (favorites) through a broker and Robert by himself. Also, the Stones, but not for anyone else and I’ve seen many concerts over the years. I’ve often gotten great seats. Was in the pit for U2 once and for a reasonable price. I paid $185. for the PJ ticket. I guess that’s reasonable by today’s standards.
  21. Awesome! I’ve had a thing for Eddie Vedder since day 1. My seat isn’t very good, but I’m glad to just be there. I may buy a better one close to the date. My friend who’s also going has a pretty good seat, but paid $750. I look forward to fulfilling this dream. The pit was around $950. Will you go again?
  22. I think I posted all my concerts somewhere upthread. It’s been a while since I updated it. I came here out of excitement about going to see Pearl Jam in May 2025 in Raleigh, NC! I’ve wanted to see them for a very long time! Anyone else going? Anyone seen them before?
  23. Happy Christmas to you all and that is great news! Hallelujah! Safe travels to those who are traveling for the holidays. Happy New Year too!
