  1. I did feel that a lot of the previous seasons were kind of set off on their own. They had different characters who didn't necessarily seem to interact all that much so it's great to see them tie it all together this last season. I'm really hoping Loretta makes it out okay.
  2. I think Wynn will survive, although maybe not Mike, but I hope he does too. I agree that Katherine, Avery, and Dillahunt are all going to die, along with their people. I don't think anyone on Boyd's crew will make it. If they kill Raylan, I can't see them also killing Tim and leaving poor Rachel the sole survivor out of those three.
  3. wanderwoman I'm glad to hear she's doing well. Girl preemies do tend to do better than boy preemies for some reason (black girl preemies actually do the best). So she's got that on her side! It sounds like she's being taken care of well. I volunteered as a teenager in a hospital and the NICU nurses were so good and very dedicated. They understood how the parents felt and tried their best to offer whatever comfort they could to both the parents and the babies.
  4. I do have to wonder with Benedict Cumberbatch if part of it was being British? I don't know if the term "colored" is seen as bad over there because there's not the horrible history attached to that word like there is in the US. Also, I've seen some people say it's confusing because "people of color" seems to be fine and accepted but "colored" is not and being confused by that.
  5. I understood that things had to be cut for the films and I'm willing to give a lot of leeway for that. One of the things I hated was how they changed the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. In the book it's in the Great Hall in front of everyone and Harry lets Voldemort and everyone there know that Snape was on the good side the whole time. In the movie, Snape never gets that recognition. He's my favorite character and I hate that they changed that and for no good reason. The end battle was perfect in the book and they could've filmed it that way.
  6. I wish they had put in subtitles for when characters were speaking Arabic. I want to know what everyone was saying, especially what Sarah was yelling at the end. I knew she was in on it from the beginning and who her target was as well. I'm also really enjoying the show without Ziva. I felt that it just got to be so tedious with Mossad and terrorists and so on. They still have terrorists, but it's not all about Ziva now and it's all the characters dealing with what's happening. I thought that Tim and Ziva could be cruel to Tony at times and Tony could be very childish and that's changed too. Tim and Tony seem to have a good friendship and Tony is being shown as a competent agent.
  7. I think everyone should do that wherever they travel, however, if I was pregnant and traveling in Central or South America I would try to avoid the water and some local foods. Pregnancy causes you to be immunocompromised so you can be infected with something you wouldn't normally be. That's why pregnant woman are told to avoid cleaning litter boxes and avoid eating certain foods. I wouldn't blame Jill if she had done that - which I don't know if she did or not. I wonder if they think that Catholics aren't Christians? I know a lot of fundamentalist protestants who don't think Catholics are Christians. Maybe they think they need to convert the people of El Salvador.
  8. I'm wondering if Jana doesn't find anyone that as soon as Josie hits her teen years she'll just up and leave. The youngest is now old enough to not be watched and maybe most of the others are gone, so she'll see her chance and just leave one day and not go back.
  9. I just thought of something. I assume they had a funeral, so who did they bury?!
  10. I agree with this. If he can convince Anna to at least be okay with them using condoms, then they can have a break between kids and maybe he could go to school and at least get an undergrad degree. It would be easier on Anna because if they had a break in between sets of kids then the first four would be older and could help out. I'm hoping that once Anna has a fourth and realizes how tough life is in DC without help and 4 kids that she'll come around to the same thinking. I do think if in the next couple of years she gets pregnant with a fifth, Josh will try and figure out a way to have a vasectomy.
  11. I don't know how it is in the corporate world, but I work in healthcare and at the two companies I've worked at we get a lot of time off when we start. We earn PTO every pay period and you get more the longer you're there. Neither place had separate sick time - it was all part of your PTO. At both places time off started at about 4 to 5 weeks a year (almost 8 hours earned every pay period). At one of them, if you were there for more than 10 years you earned 7 weeks off a year. It's entirely possible that Derrick has plenty of time off to use. We won't know for sure unless it's addressed. Also, depending on when Walmart's end of financial year is (it varies at different companies) this may actually be a good time of year for people to take vacation. If he is earning enough vacation time then he has the right to use it.
  12. I like the way nico and sinkwriter think. I will choose to think the same way; that it was Neal's way of telling Peter I'm okay and you can move on with your life. I do hope that Peter will hint enough to Elizabeth, June, Diana, and Jones that Neal is still alive. I think that core group deserves to know. I do want Mozzie to meet up with Neal in Paris. They have the money to "retire," so it would be nice for them to do that. Although, both of them do get restless so it would be good if they could con bad guys occasionally and get it out of their systems :)
  13. I've actually thought about this for my wedding and the two biggest charities/organizations I support and would want people to donate to are the ASPCA and the National Parks Foundation. It's possible to find ones that are value neutral.
  14. http://tvline.com/2014/12/18/white-collar-neal-fakes-death-series-finale-recap-alternate-ending/ Here's a follow-up with Eastin. I think I like the original ending he had better. At least then I could imagine that Neal chose the FBI. I don't like the idea that he can't change and is inherently "bad." Neal faked his death to keep his loved ones safe from the Panthers, right? So, how does letting them figure out he's still alive fit in? The Panthers are in prison, but that doesn't mean they couldn't get somebody to possibly take out people. Also, I don't know how he could let his "family" go through all that pain and suffering to then find out it wasn't real; I don't know if I could forgive that. Peter is just going to go back to chasing Neal so what was the whole point of the show, if we're right back at the beginning?
  15. Sony and the theaters are basically damned if you do, damned if you don't. If an attack were to happen, with an actual warning out there Sony and the theater would be getting hellfire rained down on them. The theater in Aurora is being sued because they didn't stop a madman from coming through the back door and shooting people. The suit says they should've known that could happen and had better security. It makes sense that Sony and the theaters are concerned about something actually happening and are taking the safest route possible.
  16. I really hope that Mackynzie and Michael don't lose their personalities as they grow up in that world. I'm thinking that moving to DC and getting away from all their aunts/uncles in Arkansas during their formative years will help. I know Josh and Anna are supposedly going to raise them the same way they were raised, but I already see some differences in how they interact with the kids so fingers crossed! Also, if they have less children that will help.
  17. I agree with this. I really wished they had some line about how the Good Samaritan Law doesn't apply because she put in a trach tube. I think a lot of people are aware of those laws and may have been wondering why it didn't apply. It was good to show that sometimes what training you get in the military doesn't cross over into civilian life. I've seen articles about all of the different skills that military men and women have, but they don't get recognized for them in the civilian world.
  18. I agree that Josh would try to prevent more kids if he could. When Anna mentioned five kids being a start, you could see a little bit of panic in Josh's face. I think he realizes how difficult it is, especially now that they're on their own in DC, and he doesn't want to add that many. Truthfully, I don't think Anna wants a lot either; she just might be better at talking the talk.
  19. I work in health care and unfortunately for the most of the episode, I just kept cringing and thinking "HIPAA! HIPAA!" We get that drilled into us whenever you start and at least on a yearly basis, if not more often, afterwards.
  20. Toby: "We can't quote a communist." Sam: "Why not? You think a communist never wrote an elegant phrase? How do you think they got them all to be communists." I have so many, but that exchange is one of my top favorites.
  21. I liked when Sophia was explaining everything that the male guard (the one trying to get in shape) was listening as well and taking mental notes!
  22. O is for Orthodontist, the profession of Barry who she ran out on at their wedding.
  23. J is for Jill, her spoiled sister who went out with Ross
  24. P is for the pretty, purple walls that mean it's a girl's apartment.
