  1. Rome's dad really, really bugs me. He's one of those guy's that's an asshole just on general principle. It's amazing Rome turned out as decent as he has.
  2. I was watching a clip of Bernie, and he is doing the same thing, breathing heavy, and sniffling. I know that are all ill just from the campaign trail. With Trump it's different. He's considerably overweight, when someone's that heavy they can run out of breath before even finishing a long sentence. With Bernie, he's just so damn worked up all of the time, IMO, but I never noticed him breathing heavily.
  3. Can we really tell when NutMeg is on her best behavior? There are times where she tries to mimic being a civil human, but it's painful to watch, honestly.
  4. For me and my ex, it was Las Vegas, summer of 1999. Damn song was playing everywhere, even in the taxis.
  5. She is as joyless a character that's been on TV in a long time. I get that Bob's a lonely, middle-aged man, but damn. I get the stoic/flat-affect cultural thing, but she doesn't seem happy most of the time. Her aunt and uncle come from the same cultural background, but they have their jokes and funny interactions, which Abby isn't usually a part of.
  6. I think that was the first time it was mentioned that they were twins. There may have been one other occasion, though.
  7. Interesting. To me they have virtually no chemistry as a romantic couple, and only a bit as good friends. I get that it's supposed to be a mature relationship (based more on companionship than hot Monkey sex) but there's absolutely no spark between the two of them. Physical commonalities aside, Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy sold Mike and Molly as a couple in love, doing it realistically in about the same number of episodes as this show has aired. Even Chuck Lorre is bound to produce a dud every now and then, and this show appears to be it.
  8. I really enjoyed it too, actually think it was the best of the series. Not surprised that Goodman and the rest of the vets nailed it, but was amazed at how good the younger actors were. Live TV is tough - back in the day Roc had one or two seasons of live episodes, and with their cast of theatrically trained actors there were very few flubs. I remember a show called Un-dateable on NBC that did an entire live season, but the stars didn't have the chops and were much too meta in their performances. Pulling for Dan and Louise, I've always had a soft spot for that big lug.
  9. I found last night's episode to be the funniest of the series thus far - if only because I once learned the same hard lesson that Bob did; never ( and I mean never) comment on a single mother's parenting decisions. It can only end badly, especially if there's a "baby daddy" involved. Bob clue-lessly stumbled on the landmine the same exact way I did, lol. Word. I literally did not recognize her until she started speaking. Sadly, everything Bob said about Dele applies to Abishola as well. She's so serious all the time, as another poster noted, it makes her seem dour and tired. But I do see where it's coming from - most immigrants come here for a better life, and that's what she wants for her son. I'm happy to see that she kept an open mind in the end.
  10. Yeah that's pretty much how I felt. The whole event had a "video game" feel to it where characters were plugged into arbitrary situations without much explanation or exposition - the fight scenes in particular felt that way. Marvel Studios has set the bar so high with movies like Age of Ultron, Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame that DC can only struggle to compete. And other than the Wonder Woman movie it kind of feels like they've given up.
  11. ITA with you about the character, BL as written now is an annoying shrew, not Tracey 2.0. Her grandmother is calculating, shrewd, almost disarming in her ability to scheme with a smile. This character may develop over time, but other than the constant "you're just like Tracy" references and physical similarities to her grand mother, there's nothing going on there. The name "Brooke Lynne" is a homage to her mother's (Lois) Brooklyn, NY roots. As a Brooklyn boy born and bred, me likey. Just wish the name could be attached to a better character.
  12. Being a typically shallow male (lol), I actually find the actress rather attractive. and she actually looks like she could be Tracy's biological grand-daughter. Casting has always been one of GH's few strengths. Interested in seeing what the writer's do with the Brooke Lynn character, particularly with Tracy/JE (so glad she's back) around to mentor her. Valen-teen (thanks Curtis!) has ruined the Cassadine mystique for me. Even inept Stavros was more menacing, IMO. If Luke were still around, he'd use Valentine as a substitute every time a roll of toilet paper ran out, heh.
  13. Yeah wardrobe has done her no favors since she came on wearing the same boxy skirt for about four or five episodes in a row. I get that she's supposed to be Tracy 2.0, but JE's outfits always had style, class, and flair. BL's apparel makes her look heavy, hippy, and like she picks all her clothes from the bargain bin at K-Mart.
  14. She got tired of having to race home to feed her pussycat.😀
  15. And I hear former Yankee Announcer Bill White (with that amazing voice) doing play-by-play: "Now Tommy John rocks and deals the 1-2 pitch...ground ball to short...." Or if you're lucky enough to work at overnights you dash in at 2:00 am in the morning. I have done that and it's usually just me, two cashiers and five stock clerks.
  16. No episode in the tri-state area today. Reality once again rears its ugly head. An active shooter situation in NJ. One police officer killed.
  17. Funny that they chose a picture of him with Brook Lynn, considering They're just throwing shit up against the wall, aren't they?
  18. Well, another reason why Tyler Christopher isn't coming back: GH Star Arrested for Public Intoxication Geez, he hasn't been able to pull it together for a while. Hard to believe he's closing in on 50.
  19. Yup. It took Valentin 20 seconds before he hit the detonate button. She'll be back.
  20. Nik's return notwithstanding, is anyone else as bored with this show as I am? When Valentin interrupted Nina's bug-eyed rant #867 about Sasha's betrayal, have to admit, he was totally right. Everyone's tired of hearing about it at this point, including I guess, most viewers. What this soap needs right now is a good action/adventure storyline, something we really haven't had since GH:Espionage. The current show-runners couldn't understand it, but those were the S/Ls that helped save GH and the entire genre back in the 70s. Mikos freezing the world. The Ice Princess. The left-handed boy. The Aztec Princess S/L. Check out YT, most of them have withstood the test of time. In the GH that plays in my head, Robert is still with the WSB, along with a restored Lucky and now sane Dante. That trio joins with Anna (and maybe a re-cast Frisco) to take on a new group of international baddies. Maybe old man Luke drops by to deal with Valentin and few other Cassadine stragglers. I'd actually pay to see some of that.
  21. Sadly, I believe Michael was supposed to be the one and only T'Challa...the Black Panther! Incredible that they would take the whitest, blandest guy on the show and make him the King of Wakanda.
  22. If I had a dollar (or a Euro) for every time Guardian winds up flat on his ass.... Also, is it just me or are the supervillains particularly lame this season? And let me be the first to say it - there's still a lot of Eve Tessmacher in Hope...there's just too much emoting going on. Her hugging Lena was a dead give away. The whole thing is going to blow up in Lena's face, guaranteed.
  23. I've noticed that trend for awhile now, MARGOCHANNING! The sad thing is when you look at the YT posters' comments and realize how troubled many people are these days. 😞
  24. One of the all-time funniest sitcom lines, IMO. But unless I'm mistaken, wasn't it Mr. Carlson who said it?
  25. This Forum for AMLT is far more interesting and entertaining than the actual show, thanks to you guys. 🙂 When is the last time we've seen Gary actually at work? Maybe the middle of last season? Incredible. Katherine, Rome, and Regina appear to be the only characters with a somewhat realistic work/home balance. In fact, we see Regina more at work than anywhere else. Yeah that was weird, wasn't it? and does Theo know his parents are sleeping in separate rooms? I do kind of see the point with Katherine, though, as she may still need some space between her and Eddie. Although I posted weeks ago that Eddie and Katherine really need a fresh start, it can never happen within the show's context. The escapism was a nice little distraction, but hours later they have to pose for a photo with Eddie's former mistress and his out-of-wedlock daughter. It's nice to dream, but reality hits hard. I can dream about being married to Salma Hayek, but when I wake up...sadly, I'm not. Nor am I her Billionaire Husband, lol. Maggie is threatening to surpass Delilah as this show's must un-likeable character. She's Immature, whiny, and runs away from problems at the drop of a hat. Hey, you're beating Cancer! Get tougher. Maggie's quickly getting to the point where it's hard to find a single redeeming thing about her. She and Gary together is like Toxic Sludge in a Quicksand Bog.
