  1. Yep Genie will always be the Queen of Soaps, with all respect to Susan Lucci. Today's episode was pretty good, overall, as GH goes these days. Re: Robert and Ned - pretty sure we're looking at some new couplings when 2021 comes in, Sasha/Brando, Robert/Olivia, and possibly even Jason/Britt, although I'm not sure how that last one will come about. But JaSam's looking pretty much toasted. Monica's prayer was so fitting given the year we've lived through. Having the Pizza delivered to the Hospital was a nice touch by the writers. Now that St. Jasus and Sonny have pretty much made the Cyrus connection, I wonder if Dante will team up with them to take out Mr. Ponytail.
  2. Nope. Jackie was somewhat of a catch way-back-when. Cute as a button, with those killer dimples and incredible legs. Ambitious and open-minded. Despite the mommy issues, Jackie had her head screwed on pretty straight when compared to the other characters. Then time went by and we got "Wacky Jacky." Ugh.
  3. I assume this means you have never seen Michael and Willow any romantic interest in a one-on-one scene together. Fixed that for you! You guys are absolutely hilarious!!!!🤣😂😆
  4. Although she's handling the situation erratically, Jackie trying to protect Louise's Brother (can't remember his name, sorry) is actually admirable IMO. Jackie has enough self-awareness to realize that she is, to quote Jake Tapper, "a hot mess, inside of a dumpster fire, headed towards a train wreck." Maybe the writers intend to bring these characters to better places eventually? Hope so.
  5. And like the Seinfeld gang, the Conners seem to feed upon each others' horrible-ness. Absolutely. The dating pool in Lansford must be beyond shallow. Those comments were unspoken truths that both knew. However, those hurtful thoughts would have remained unsaid until they needed to be weaponized. And now Harris knows how her Mother and Aunt really feel about each other.
  6. Thanks for posting this ULKIS! Although TG doesn't get a lot of love in the fan forums, the guy was an innovative, brilliant soap actor. JJ often credits TG and GF for their mentorship. It would be nice to have JJ back, particularly with LuLu leaving the canvas, but it probably won't happen.
  7. Thing is, I've been a loyal State Farm customer for so long (with ZERO claims) I can't even remember who my previous carrier was. So where's my "Winston" promo?
  8. She's always reminded me of a Muppet. The only thing I've ever enjoyed her in was Pushing Daisies.
  9. Wow, this show has turned into a meandering train wreck. The writers appear to be randomly throwing stuff against the wall in the hopes that something, anything will stick. Looks like Rosie's going to get the last laugh. She may have issues (some of which are odious), but I can't imagine the show being this bad if Roseanne were still involved. The sad part is each sibling was totally correct about the other. Darlene was an arrogant, depressing, self-obsessed killjoy back in the day and pretty much hasn't changed. Becky was always an average-looking blonde, but a least tried to be a decent person most of the time. Now even that trait seems to be ebbing. I was a bit taken aback by how rude he was. It's out of character for him. So much so that I thought it must be going somewhere, but then they dropped it. Yeah, it's not like the family went out of their way to make Robin feel welcome. It was a bit uncomfortable to watch. Even the original recipe Conners made some effort to be cordial to guests. How do these people have any friends?
  10. I go back-and-forth on this point. It's a given that immigrants from some nations often adopt stoic attitudes, but I see very little joy in Abishola. As someone roughly the same age as Bob, I'd want someone that brought a little sparkle and lightness in my life. Totally agree. Too many shows this season came right out of the gate tackling COVID and BLM for my taste. We really needed sitcoms (especially) and dramas to be an escape from the horror show that has been 2020. Plus, when these shows get recycled in syndication we'll all have to be reminded of what a crap-fest this year has been. 😔
  11. Yes! St. Jaysus's biological mom that we never hear anything about.
  12. There has never been a couple in the history of the big or small screen that have less chemistry than JaSam. Sometimes it's hard to tell if they even like each other, let alone being each other's soulmates. I've never been a fan of crazy-eyes Britt, but might be interested in seeing she and Jason hook up just for a friggin' change-of-pace.
  13. Wow Auntie Velvet, thanks so much for posting this! I had been a GH fan for about 3 years at that point, but probably missed this episode while away at College. There was something so elegant and sophisticated about those scenes - classy, educated doctors instead of mobsters. Both LC and DA were in their respective primes back then to, both looking stylish. Helps me remember why I fell in love with this Soap. ETA: Even the background music playing at the Floating Rib was elegant. Current show-runners please note, that's how it was done in the "old days."
  14. They are clearly training Wiley to be the next Norman Bates. Also, maybe I'm reading too much into this, but did Brando deliberately mess with Cyrus's head to make him screw up with Sasha? If so, whether it was motivated by jealousy or just to fuck to Cyrus, major props. Perhaps this little incident will make Cyrus do a little more thinking the next time he decides he wants a sumpthin-sumpthin.
  15. Parisi did try to assert that protocol, but lost control of the Jury very quickly. And I can recall Barba allowing jurors to ask questions (at least one time) when it suited his agenda. Overall a very underwhelming Season Premiere. It's like they tried to do too much (Covid-19, BLM, St. Olivia falling off her pedestal) all at once. Haven't watched regularly for a while, didn't know Tucker had died. Liv just takes one hit after another.
  16. The only good thing about those scenes is that for a change Willow looked like an adult woman instead of a Disney Princess. And for once wardrobe put the Brooke Lynn character in something flattering, it only took two different actresses to get it right.
  17. I like to watch exactly one of their Christmas movies each year. After Thanksgiving, thank you very much. More than that and it's just too much. And I don't watch their movies other times of the year. Because you're rght. Too sappy. But, that's good for when I'm trying to get into a Christmas mood. I have always been a big Christmas move fan.☃️ And if there was ever a year where we needed two straight months of them it's 2020.
  18. I'm about his age and not sure whether to applaud him or call him a "cradle-robber/dirty-old-man." So conflicted.
  19. Heh! Brought back my Bugs Bunny cartoon days. There was an episode where a doctor hypnotized Bugs Bunny into thinking he was a wealthy Elmer J Fudd but having him repeat, "I am Elmer J Fudd, millionaire, I own a mansion and a yacht". Likewise, Elmer was hypnotized to think he was a bunny rabbit (wabbit) And don't forget Wile E. Coyote: Super Genius, lol. Thanks for that heads up! Growing up in the 60s and 70s it was Saturday cartoons in the am, the Monkees at noon, then Godzilla movies (with Raymond Burr!!!) for the rest of the afternoon. There were some great commercials back then too, especially for the cereals: Count Chocula, Crisp N Quake, hoo boy!
  20. Great Breakfast spreads, and Pizza on Thanksgiving.
  21. She probably did her own background checks on Cyrus, leading her to the same location Jordan and Curtis arrived at. I hope so, love it when we get little reminders of how badass Laura was back in the day. I remember one of the espionage S/Ls from a few years back when Laura was able to track down Jerry Jax (all on her own) and he was somewhat surprised by the accomplishment.
  22. I had the same thoughts. Either way, if he decides to assault Joss or Cam it ends badly for Dev. If Joss is the victim, Carly will petition Sonny/Jason to kill Dev, and if it's Cam, Elizabeth will likely look the other way when Franco decides Dev has to go "nitey-nite" for good.
  23. Unintentional Comedy Gold: When adorable Maxie pops up from behind the Bar like a Jack-in-the-Box, saying: "Uh, Anna? She's gone." Initially I didn't know if Maxie meant gone as in dead or gone as in "She ain't here no more."😄 Also, to quote Bill Maher, Dev was a whiny little Bitch yesterday. Trina, Joss and Cam need to kick him out of the Quartet, pronto.
  24. Watch Brooke English and Adam Chandler stumble upon her while out for a romantic stroll. Oh you guys beat me to it. In two weeks, Alex's body will wash up on the "Pennsylvania side of the river" and never be definitively identified. Two weeks after that, Alex and Nell will magically re-appear in Port Charles for Super-Villain Team Up: The GH Edition. Thing is, if it were done correctly, I'd actually be looking forward to the concept.
  25. Now that you mention it, the acting on Mom has been far-and-away the best of any Chuck Lorre show, even Big Bang Theory. A lot of that probably has to do with the quality of the cast, never a ringer in the bunch. And the writing has been consistently good overall, so much so that I can almost accept the "Christie gets accepted to Georgetown on a full scholarship" premise.
