  1. Three weeks ago I lost a cousin to a combination of Dementia and Covid-19. Once the afflicted person stops eating (or forgets how to eat) and a feeding tube is involved, it's pretty much over. Being the control freak that he is, Sonny refuses to lovingly let Mike go. Horrible, but consistent for his character.
  2. As much as I'm enjoying Jon Cryer's take on Lex, the character is beginning to consume the show, similar to how Michael Fassbender's Magneto has devoured the current X-Men movie franchise. Not good.
  3. Not sure about the first question, but as for the second, it was the radiation in the room that was hurting/killing Brainy, not the pad.
  4. There have been at least two times in the last couple of weeks where BL has extolled Mikey's virtues almost as if she has a romantic interest in him. Squicky. The Robert/Laura scenes were fun. Can't remember if I've ever seen her display a sense of humor before. Although most of her S/Ls over the years haven't lent themselves to levity. Willow is growing on me! Did anyone else notice that today she stole a page from NLG's book with the, ah, enthusiastic open-mouth kissing with Chase in the opening flash-back scene? Re: Mike Corbin - I agree with many posters that this S/L has run its course. Almost seems like the writers aren't quite sure how to wrap it up.
  5. She really is, in an almost surreal, "Disney Princess" kind of way. Based on the actor's looks, Willow is actually the perfect name for that character. As far as the wedding, I cringe every time I see Monica being warm and friendly to the man (Sonny) who killed one of her sons in cold blood.
  6. If his were classic, old school GH circa 1977-1995, Holly's "death" would be a Master-class fake-out by Robert to finally get the good on Henrik. But that version of Robert hasn't been around for quite some time now, other than occasional glimpses here and there.
  7. Interesting. Please expand on that sentiment if you'd like.
  8. Just struck me that Kelly Monaco somewhat came out of her coma during the Davis Coven scenes this week. One day while the siblings were squabbling, Sam walked over to Alexis and they kind of locked arms, like a real-life mother and daughter. A nice, subtle touch that I wouldn't have thought Kelly capable of. Maybe if the show-runners allowed her to be more than St. Jasus's gun moll we'd get that kind of nuance more often.
  9. Lots to process here, and overall a surprisingly solid episode. Melissa did a great job in directing a busy script with lots of actors and moving parts; she may have a big future behind the camera. Man, Lex gives new meaning to the phrase Machiavellian, doesn't he? I too, didn't see Lex being behind Jeremiah's death, but it makes sense. Does anyone else think Lex screwing Ms. Tessmacher over is going to bite him in the ass eventually? I can see Eve and Lena once again joining forces in the future to help Kara (and maybe even Kal-El) take him down once and for all. The only part of this S/L still not quite working for me is Brainiac as a double agent. Otherwise, this has suddenly shaped-up as this series' strongest arc to date.
  10. Wow, I forgot all about Ava! Muy caliente, for sure. She always reminds me of the "femme fatales" from old 50s, black-and-white film noire movies. The kind of old-school "broad" made for nights by a roaring fireplace and a nice snifter of Brandy.
  11. Coming from the shallow male end of the pool, there isn't much eye candy available to us GH-watching dudes either these days. Watching Friday's classic episode, I remembered the trashy hotness that Sarah Brown brought to the role of Carly. Other than the Davis Coven (whose personalities are all a bit of a turn-off), there's not much for us guys to look at. 😞 Nina's face has so much botox and plastic you'd have to keep her away from flames. Sasha is Barbie 2.0 and Willow, while cute, looks like any vigorous lovemaking session would break her in half.
  12. Yeah, the one next to the House that Jack Built.
  13. The Allstate commercials have bugged me a bit for a while, but does anyone else love the "safe drivers save 40%" spot? Dennis Haysbert probably gets that a lot in real life.
  14. Some of the sickly sweet coronavirus ones. Maybe they just air on Ion TV, which I watch obsessively these days because it seems my escape from today's realities is to watch blood and gore via NCIS, Law and Order, Criminal Minds, etc. Well, she does "sound like FM radio" from the 70s, lol.
  15. Amen. You guys!!!! Try some Heinze Ketchup with a big, greasy bacon cheeseburger (onions and pickles are must haves, fries are optional) and it's like you've gone to Heaven on a cloud, lol.
  16. I miss the was Dan used to pronounce his name on the original show ("Duh-white"), lol. So happy to see Dan and Louise get together (finally!) plus his upcoming stand to keep the house. This show has been pretty good overall.
  17. Children of the Corn - the Millennial Edition. The Moobster's trying to claim Spencer as his latest, non-biological trophy child. Latest in a series, collect 'em all. 🙂 We need a Mystery Science Theater 3000 version of GH to just goof on all this insanity.
  18. If this was the last episode due to the corona virus, they finished strong. This was the most I've liked Abishola all season - she came across as a real, 3-dimensional person for once, with a range of emotions, no "happy, angry, same face" for a change. And the closing scene on the park bench was sweet, it was the first time Bob and Abby seemed like a real couple. Some shows struggle to find a groove early on, and this may be one of them. But it showed enough promise that I'm actually looking forward to next season.
  19. Totally agree. The Actor has been amazing, but I really don't see where else this S/L can go. Re: Cyrus Renault - hey Kevin and Laura! Just put him in a cell with Ryan Chamberlain and save yourselves all that work, lol.
  20. Yep, you nailed it. They didn't bring him back after all this time only to kill him two weeks later. Funniest line I've read on this board in a very long time: "[Nell] looks like she smells of stale urine and cigarettes." Hilarious and gross at the same time. The character does give the impression that any room she's in reeks of cheap perfume for at least 10 minutes after she leaves, lol.
  21. What this soap really needs is a serial killer that's more inspired, efficient, and less lazy than Ryan Chamberlain. There's so many characters on the current canvas that need to be "offed," Spinelli, Nell, Brooke Lynne, Valentin, Samantha, the She-Beast, Sonny, Jasus, the list goes on and on, actually. Btw, that the Hell happened to Tracy? She disappeared as mysteriously as she appeared.
  22. I noticed that too. For a moment I actually mistook her for Lucy. And speaking of fashion, BL wore slacks today for the first time ever, I believe.
  23. Krikey! I must be slipping. As a long time admirer of KMo's...assets...I didn't notice that. Must be getting old. 🤣 Loved "the Brittch is back" line, and I've totally missed the actress' crazy eyes, they're really kind of scary. Guess St. Jasus and the Moobster will rescue TJ by the end of this week and Jordan will be singing their praises forevermore.
  24. Seems like Gary has a real White Knight complex where women are concerned. His interest in Darcy, to me at least, appeared to ramp up after her PTSD surfaced. Also, Re: Gina's mother (and maybe Katherine's Mom too), I'm thinking Nash might have some parent issues. Do any of the adult leads have parents that aren't some iteration of awful?
  25. I love reading these comments because...Trina & Cam's kiss was pretty much the same as my first kiss with my high school sweetheart. The times really don't change, do they?😉
