  1. Anyone ever try the Cubii? Watching TV with my mother recently, we saw the ad and she was interested, as a semi-disabled person who has a lot of trouble finding exercise she can do. However, the first red flag should have been the fact that they don't mention a price on the actual ad; you have to go online for that. (BTW, there are several models, ranging from $250-400.) I have a similar foot peddler I bought on Amazon for $20, and the only thing I could see different offhand is that Cubii lets connect online to see how well other people are peddling. Like, no thanks?
  2. Imagine being the poor receptionist: "Good morning, Stacy Shaw Law!" "Good morning, Stacy Shaw Law!"
  3. I live in CT, so I am not familiar with Kroger...and judging by this, I don't want to be..
  4. Also, Mary Anne is now an African-American girl...which would take the wind out of Jessi' sails, except there is no Jessi. Claudia looks like she's 10 years old, and Charlie and Sam, who I always felt were SO old when I initially read these books, look like the children they actually still are. Dawn has dark brown hair. And, Lord have mercy, Alicia Silverstone is Kristy's mom. I will forever think of her as a teenager.
  5. Not sure...I was so horrified with the basic concept, I didn't want to hear anything more about it, let alone SEE it...
  6. One of my coworkers is such a germaphobe, she actually went online and bought this black light thingy, which would allow her to check her hotel rooms when traveling. Most of us agreed this would make a story worthy of a Stephen King novel.
  7. Somehow the Geico gecko has avoided this fate...
  8. Oh Lord, it's the classic "we must be having tons of fun because we've all got our arms around each other" pose!
  9. Guess what, everyone?? Jay Leno is a big fan of Norton 360! That totally means we should all buy it too! Or...not.
  10. YES!! I always loved Daphne's random, vaguely disturbing anecdotes...
  11. On a random side note - exactly how far away is Hamilton supposed to be?? It seems like it's far away when they want it to seem that way, yet close enough for people to hop a train and just show up in Hope Valley when they want that, too... 😁
  12. Another long-time favorite, especially these days, is Goldfish crackers...I just love seeing glimpses of their happy cheddary little world, with goldfish moms taking goldfish kids to the playground, and this season, all the goldfish residents of Goldfish Town cheering on the parade. Is it wrong to wish I lived in Goldfish Town??
  13. YES!! I always look forward to seeing what he's up to during the current season - sightseeing, mowing his lawn - as he struggles to beat his addiction. Poor guy's having a hard time, but at least he's determined...
  14. May I introduce you to my father?? He bought a Flowbee in the height of its popularity, somewhere in the early '90s, and has cut his hair with it ever since. He has been especially smug about it in recent months.
  15. Yes - except for one shared cover with Michelle Obama and one with Ellen. Maybe it's a case of life imitating art - isn't this always the case on TV shows and movies?? Nobody ever has curtains - even if they have a huge first-floor window facing a busy street - and have no hesitation about strolling past half naked (or murdering people). They also never notice the stalker or private investigator literally right outside, snapping photos.
  16. I am always troubled by any reference to food items having a sex life...
  17. Agreed...also, I still can't connect "WW" to Weight Watchers. My initial thought is, what's Oprah got to do with wrestling??"
  18. Right...but if that were the case, then presumably there are supervisory positions within any social service agency. Rachel made it seem like whatever job she was moving for was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, yet didn't really specify just what that entailed.
  19. Well, he wasn't wrong. LDR might work if they are temporary - like one person is away for school or a short-term work assignment. But if both intend to stay where they are, then the occasional visit will feel not enough, yet you know things won't change. I'm not hugely familiar with the field of social work, but since this storyline came up, I really had to wonder. What on earth is a "dream job" for a social worker that would be worth moving cross country for?? I would think the positions in that field are pretty similar wherever you are.
  20. I just wish the show used JACK the right amount...it's like they all but forgot the guy even has a child this season.
  21. So far, I have not seen a single show even mention COVID - I'm thinking that is for two reasons, the first being that things were likely taped long before the virus really got going, and the second being that there is really no "resolution" at this time, and TV likes neat stories they can wrap up within an episode or two. In Taylor's case, I would think the graduation will likely not be addressed on screen, as of course the show is on break all summer and maybe even all of fall. So by the time they're back, she'll be well into her new life, and anything to do with high school would essentially be "old news." Re: Anna Kat - Did anyone else suspect literally the moment that Katie first mentioned the bullying that it might actually be Anna Kat doing it? For starters, there usually needs to be a "twist" in these kinds of subplots to make it more interesting, but really, IMO Anna Kat really has gotten to be quite capable of being hurtful/bitchy at times. IDK why Katie automatically assumed her child couldn't be, unless it's because it's just plain tough for parents to see unattractive qualities in their child's character.
  22. Ok, so presumably they were looking for a way to drag out Nolan, Chen and West being rookies. What happens in S3 when they aren't? Title becomes irrelevant.
  23. On a side note, how is this now the end of their rookie year - two years into the show? Did anyone mention at the end of S1 that only six months had passed? I don't recall but I think I'd remember that... And if these two seasons really are just one year, that means Nolan has been almost killed like 37 times in a mere 12 months!
  24. I guess it's too much to hope for Haley to get run over by a taxi or something while in NYC... I agree, Jordan Atwater would be a reasonable choice. Heaven forbid anyone in Intelligence have a single loved one that hasn't died a gruesome death.
  25. If Poppy hadnt been suspicious of a woman with the surname "Gummybear", you'd think Douglas using emojis certainly would have clinched it...
