  1. I would watch this show if a drooling Jim Bob was dragged around in a computer chair, with absolutely no regard for his dignity.
  2. There is another case of alleged sleep-walking murder that has been covered. The neighbor’s security camera viewed the husband’s actions at his sliding glass door. The woman had been murdered in the backyard, off camera. The part I remember is the guy reached down and stroked his dog’s head. Prosecution contended that a sleepwalker would not do that. I can’t recall the verdict. ☹️
  3. Speculation about her childhood has been made and then removed by mods.
  4. I can’t stand him, but I’ve got to agree with Joy. It’s politics. Manchin is a DINO, but the Ds need him. This is what the Rs are pros at. They will hold their nose and side with the absolute dregs of the earth to forward their agenda. I don’t think Kamala owes him anything, but a staff member could have reached out and spoken to him before the interview. This guy could flip across the aisle at any time, and there goes the tenuous majority. That said, I think Kamala’s sex and race influenced Manchin’s comment, and fuck him for that.
  5. I used to worry for the safety of the Little Couple. Their house is so distinctive, and Jen wouldn’t have a chance if someone snatched one of the children.
  6. Hearing the trust fund baby of a trust fund baby calling someone elitist is laughable. Coincidentally, my tv somehow landed on Fox “News”. While I almost sprained my wrist in the effort to change the channel, I was entertained by a smirking blonde ranting about elitist John Kerry telling the poor to “suck it up” and flying around in his private jet. Meghan doesn’t have a single original thought rattling around in that head. I’m glad they finally covered that raving lunatic from Georgia. I recently saw the footage of her stalking and yelling at David Hogg, traumatized survivor of a school shooting, making sure he knew she was currently carrying. She proudly had this recorded so the world could see her harassing a teenager and calling him a coward. Meghan doesn’t approve of Greene being removed. She doesn’t approve of Cruz, rabble rouser to the insurrectionists, being removed. What crime does she deem worthy of removal?
  7. Regarding if kids should return to the classroom: My neighbors are healthcare workers with a baby, and a huge Standard Poodle puppy. The puppy is extremely rambunctious, but they can’t get a dog trainer to come help because of the “risk”. So at first it pissed me off. You’re more than happy to have healthcare workers risk death if you have Covid, but you refuse to help them due to a risk of being exposed. Then I realized, dog trainers did not sign up to die. They signed up to help dogs. IMO, teachers did not sign up to die. Teachers did not sign up to baby sit, be psych counselors, enable parents to return to work. They signed up to teach children - which can be done online. Let’s face it, this is another problem specific to the US. We don’t have proper public childcare, we aren’t receiving sustainable relief $, and as Whoopi implied, not all children have access to the internet and computers needed. I’ve listened to parents complain for almost a year now. The vast majority simply want their kids to go back because there is no one to care for them at home. That is no an inherent responsibility of teachers. It’s not teachers’ faults that we have pour health insurance when it comes to mental illness. I’m not sure teachers should have to risk their lives, and the lives of their families, because some children are struggling with mental illness. That father hysterically screaming about his garbage service is comparing apples to oranges. There is no comparison to collecting bagged garbage with gloved hands, to having a classroom of children, many too young to effectively and continuously wear a mask, sneezing, snotting, and coughing all over them. My friend is a first grade teacher, and while she loves her job, she has told me about how they’re always hanging on her and touching her with their unwashed hands. I was a peds nurse and it was the only time in my life I experienced sinus infections and laryngitis. And that doesn’t even take into account the school districts who refuse to enforce masks. Having said all of this, healthcare workers didn’t sign up to die, unintentionally infect those they live with, or kill their elderly family members. But they tend to be like fire fighters - they’re running in while everyone else is running out.
  8. In my opinion, Whoopi was made to apologize for that sweater. We know her motto is - don’t @ me, I don’t care. Why is Meghan the only one not held accountable for her words or actions? It’s infuriating. And while I’d like to think she has no power, as mentioned Upthread, it’s clear to me that she does.
  9. So I fell down a rabbit hole of survival of head GSWs. I found one study conducted after the assassination attempt of Gabby Giffords. Neurologists studied 400 gun shot victims from two trauma centers, and found there was a 42% survival rate over all, but it dropped to 20% when self-inflicted. Of course, these numbers are influenced by many factors, including the fact the patients received treatment at a trauma center. Anecdotally, besides Giffords, I’ve seen quite a few Datelines in which victims have survived, and one was self-inflicted. I personally know of a self-inflicted shot gun to the head survivor, who was actually lucid enough to hold his suction cannula as the flight for life crew worked on him. I enjoy Denise, as I enjoy the actress, and would like for her to be an eventual villain. Or perhaps she was involved in the trafficking, but turns against them because they killed Cody. I liked the memorial at the bar, but not so much the actual funeral. The guns firing in the air was just so over the top cowboy - although I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if that’s actually how they handle things up there. And Jenny marching with Cody’s ashes almost made me unwillingly giggle. The real emotion, at least for me, occurred during the celebration.
  10. RE: The women transmitting a virus amongst themselves Elizabeth most likely got the UTI from James. It’s somewhat common for this to happen to women, especially when it’s sex with a new peartner. Liz seems the type who’s too lazy to get up and pee and clean up when it’s over. It seems likely Ashling and Rachel acquired their infections from the meal out. Izzy was sick first, and none of the others seemed to have strep, so I think her auto-immune disease allowed her to pick something up and get sick quickly.
  11. RE: Staff sex in a guest room Jenna on Sailing Yacht did it with - don’t mind that I can’t remember his name. She made the unilateral decision, and Capt. Glenn did not appear happy about it on WWHL. Hannah allowed Jess and Rob to do it, but Jess asked permission, and Hannah had to think on it first. I *think* Malia and Tom did it, but Malia had carte Blanche to do anything, according to Sandy. I think the bottom line is, either the lead was involved, or permission was asked. Neither Elizabeth nor James are leads, nor did they ask permission.
  12. The show is an expensive one to produce, and Tyra Banks came on as an executive producer. They probably thought Tyra would appeal to a younger audience, but the show was Tom, in my opinion. These pics confirm, at least to me, that her lips were “pregnancy lips”, and she now just over lines her lips.
  13. I believe Whoopi did make this point yesterday.
  14. I think Ashling was given something to slow down her GI system temporarily, and her MD very well may have described it as “relaxing”. I don’t think she forgets to put up her hair. Elizabeth is very aware of her appearance, as seen in her beach clean up outfit. Some females know that much of their attraction is tied to their long flowing hair. Elizabeth knows she’s more attractive with it down and will continue to “forget”. But be assured, when Francesca instructs her for the tenth time, Elizabeth will be profusely apologetic and claim to have not known. I’ve worked with incompetent people like this, and this behavior is deliberately manipulative - this is how they keep their jobs, and they have no incentive to improve. The best part is how they gaslight those whose job is to discipline them. Whining about unfair treatment, how hard they try, how nice they are to people, go over your head to the manager, etc. Its quite impressive when you think about it.
  15. Google tells me Cecilia was promoted to chief WH correspondent, and Jonathan is launching a new show on ABC Live.
  16. This is an old post, but these two are still together as far as I know. I imagine Nicolle’s marriage became rocky as she leaving the Republican Party. If Mr. Wallace remains a staunch R, the marriage would be practically unsustainable. Not everyone can be a Mary Matalin and James Carville I don’t see a spark between Nicolle and Michael, but Nicolle is a pro. I imagine if the two were to break up, we would never know it by how she treats him
  17. She seems to truly think when her side wins, “elections have consequences” and the Rs have true and utter control. However, when the other guys win - hey, but what about the 74 million people? Where’s the compromise, where’s the unity and healing? Where’s OUR seat at the table. Unfair!! Wah! 😩❄️
  18. I’ve always found Travis revolting. Didn’t he make an anal sex comment in front of Steph’s parents? No man is rich enough to put up with his grossness.
  19. On my own pretending he’s (My Father) beside me . . .
  20. Other than her occasional wishy-washy comments about politics, I just don’t mind Sara. We know she suffers from considerable anxiety, and I imagine her notes are to keep her from lumbering around a point without ever quite making it (Whoopi), or endlessly barking word salad (Meghan). Sara comes prepared with her thoughts organized, like Sunny. She doesn’t seem to roll out of bed at 10:59, which I assume Whoopi does, and other than Meghan’s maternity leave, I feel Sara’s words and opinions are her own - not her husband’s or the producer’s. Although I thoroughly dislike Meghan, I’ve had similar thoughts in the past. Vacationing on a beach in Virginia and looking at a horizon of battle ships was disturbing, as was watching drills of soldiers being lowered by helicopters over the water. It was creepy. It was also jarring to be in NYC and seeing armed cops lined up everywhere, and then I realized it was for the Tony awards.
  21. I did not know this! Besides being super responsible, RAs tend to be junior/senior students, as well. Go Anna!
  22. I enjoy Ana because her often mean-spirited humor is aimed at people I don’t like. However, I remember that I could not stand her on Bill Maher’s show, and I believe she will return to form in another election cycle or two.
  23. I’m not convinced Cindy is talking about over a century ago. She seems to think these qualities all existed in her party pre-Teump.
  24. Cindy McCain describing what Republicans stood for: Inclusion Generosity Country First What is this Republican Party Cindy is referring to? Inclusion? Generosity?? Since when?
  25. Joe Scarborough said if the “protestors” were black, they would have been shot in the face. If they were Muslim, they would have been sniped from atop buildings.
