  1. And perhaps the most impactful, Molly’s parents. There’s also Uncle Sonny’s multiple divorces, as well as TJ’s parents. I’m actually surprised more people aren’t marriage averse after growing up surrounded by failed marriages.
  2. Just to add, I don’t really mind GH not making Cam shave his head. It will impact whatever auditions the kid goes on, and to make it true, he’d have to keep shaved the entire time Franco gets chemo. It’s unfair to the actor, especially for a part time role. Thanks! I’m so out of the loop.
  3. So I’m a spotty watcher of late, and often have it on as background noise. I haven’t read here for a bit. The gist that I’m getting: Jason is more alive in scenes with Britt than he’s shown in years. They have good chemistry, and he seems to be interested and invested in her, which is more than can be currently said about Sam. I’m actually interested in a romance, but I’m sure it will be a one-sided crush, and Jason will be the devoted, only, friend, who will nurse her through her last days. I guess Franco will be getting chemo. It makes me wonder if they plan on removing the tumor after it shrinks. Love BH’s hair. I prefer the two couples how they are now, but I sense there will be a tortured quadrangle down the road. I haven’t read spoilers or even speculation, but the person who’s communicating with Ava has to be Morgan, right? I’m actually here for his return if he becomes a true villain, bitter at Ava and seeking revenge, maybe pissed at his parents for not finding him. There’s no true villain, at least for me right now. Valentine is defanged, Nikolas is good now by the power of love, and Cyrus, portrayed by an actor who was terrifying in The Walking Dead, is now Laura’s brother who adores his mother.
  4. Nor have months of parental bereavement leave. Meghan has no clue how privileged she is.
  5. And Tre acts as if the gym has hook up bedrooms, or is actually a “massage parlor”. So odd.
  6. Gia has been over her mother for years. She knows her mother has the IQ of a toddler, and she has been put in the unfair position of parenting her siblings since her criminal parents “went away”. I’m happy she has chosen to attend college out of state. Maybe Tre will become a little more self-reliant. I agree about David. Why anyone was even allowed to have cosmetic surgery during a pandemic baffles the mind. My cousin delivered twins via C-section in April, and we were met outside the ER with a nurse in full PPE, wielding a thermometer. She was allowed one designated visitor her entire stay. My cousin’s boyfriend went to the ER for kidney stone type symptoms, and was told - don’t you know there’s a pandemic going on? But Dolores can get a second butt implant? I adore Jennifer’s father! Grandpa Gorga used to scare the shit out of me, but this little grandpa seems so gentle and sweet. I’m also glad Bill is getting a more positive edit. I felt bad with how mocked he was last season. Jennifer may make me like her a little with these two - and sweet Gabby.
  7. Like you, I despise Christmas and tiny troll Paul, but I have one correction. Eight months pregnant Christmas repeatedly slammed her car into her baby daddy’s mistress’s empty car - which is still a crazy thing to do.
  8. I know Hall Brawl is a fan favorite, but all I can think about is spinal cord injury and brain trauma.
  9. Don’t worry Meghan, “your side” is more than equally presented, considering your word count surely equals all the other ladies combined.
  10. They were probably shooting defenseless animals out there. Kind of one more for the road.
  11. There’s probably racists sending death threats. Plus, he just seems to be a kind, thoughtful man.
  12. As Izzy has confirmed she’s a lesbian, you’re second sentence is incorrect.
  13. Whoopi often sounds disengaged, as witnessed with her descriptive, “Right”, after someone makes a heartfelt statement. That bitch Cooper also almost murdered her dog. I’m not sure I agree with Joy. It’s been a long time since I saw the video, and I find it too disturbing to confirm, but I got the impression she played up the fear for 911. She weaponized the white woman tears, which is repugnant. Black women are sitting in jail for voting at the wrong precinct, and this chick gets away with five therapy sessions.
  14. Elizabeth keeps wishing “karma” on Francesca, yet doesn’t realize it may be why she was fired.
  15. I think Heather is now “claiming” the good time girl label. But Heather’s original offense was that she was a virgin when she got married. Lisa subtly implied Heather was a little loose in her morals. I actually believed Lisa each time she teared up. Call me crazy. I could not stand her all season but the reunion softened me just a bit. She was the best dressed, and looked good despite her unfortunate spray tan. Meredith is such an ice queen, and I no longer believe anything she says. Her husband had to force her, on camera, to acknowledge their marriage was in trouble. She apparently hides her smoking in the attempt to maintain her image of elegant perfection. There’s no way in hell anyone saw Jen’s labia, and her precious traumatized children didn’t to have to run and get camera attention when Jen showed up. Acting like Jen drove them from the home when they both happened to have the option to - gasp - leave the room, is ridiculous. I once said Lisa was the head mean girl, but I now believe it’s Meredith. And her delicate, hard working son is facing a little criticism because he chose to skip school and parade around on camera. He’s an adult and fair game. Jen redeemed herself a bit and finally explained her business, which I appreciate. I still like Heather and Whitney, and appreciate their family connection, but good God Whitney, less is more (and that goes for Meredith too). Mary was basically a friend of, and should have made the typical short visit. She was doing back flips to drag everything back to her. She is so clearly used to being worshipped as God, and can’t function normally. She a disgusting example of a church leader - yes, there’s a lot of them, but I do not contribute to their wealth by watching or participating in any of their schemes. If the cult leader comes back, I’m not sure I will be. That said, she’d better not be replaced with another basic white lady.
  16. I wonder if Ben put his foot down about baby pics. Or Meghan knows how vicious people can be on SM, and she doesn’t want people taking out their dislike for her on an innocent baby. I know at least one reality star left SM for a year after people were attacking her toddler’s looks, and asking if she were autistic.
  17. Oh if I have to choose a side, it’s Ana’s. But she definitely enjoys getting under the Princess of Arizona’s skin.
  18. To be honest, I think Ana does a lot to deliberately trigger Meghan. I can’t stand Meghan, but I’ve only liked Ana the last four years. Ana is highly confident, a little arrogant, and when she’s on the show she practically pees on her chair to show dominance. Someone as insecure, and truly not too intelligent about their own party, as Meghan, has to be intimidated. Plus, Meghan knows a large portion of the audience wants Ana to take her job. It takes a person with a lot more character than Meghan to be cool in that situation. And Ana clearly relishes doing things like mocking Meghan’s home state and calling it a litter box. Ana is passive-aggressive, whereas Meghan is just aggressive.
  19. Why does Meghan always think she gets a rebuttal? I loved Joy’s abrupt, “We don’t have time”.
  20. I assumed that Kaycee feels her partnership with LeRoy provides some cover for her BB alliance. If she and LeRoy win again, he’s likely going to agree to not vote in a BB member.
  21. Germany is known for having an excellent educational system.
  22. Perhaps not, but wildly riding down the streets of London, with little attempt to conceal her identity, was a sure way to potentially be exposed. It was foolish and impetuous, which this Daphne has been written to be, and she almost got herself killed in the bargain. Then there’s the doctor present who now knows the cause of the duel, which endangers her more. She’s stomping her foot demanding to be treated like an adult, and then behaving like the pampered, sheltered little fool she was raised to be. Perhaps it’s simply the problem of my having read seven of these books multiple times, but I am very unhappy with the changes. Anthony was not in love with his mistress, who absolutely would have known where she stood in this arrangement, and it cheapens the next season, which I assume is his. It implies he will only be settling, because the rules of society have kept him from his true love. Then we have the pregnant, unmarried girl, who shows no signs of how desperate her circumstances truly are, and insists she must have a handsome, charming, rich, connected husband of her choosing. One she plans on seducing and trapping into claiming her child. Do I believe these types of situations happened, absolutely. But the comparison of Daphne’s final understanding at the duel, that she was about to face shame and reproach, with Marina’s brazen attitude, and disrespect toward those trying to help her, I have to wonder at the intentions of the writers. And that the sweet one has been cast as the white girl, and the manipulative one is black bothers me. Plus, it’s tainted the character of Penelope, which we will eventually be expected to root for. I was excited about this project, but for me, they are unnecessarily going for shock value. They have an amazing cast, a solid eight books of story telling, and they’re making characters who were so rootable in the books, far less likable. It’s so sensationalistic, like having Benedict in homo-erotic scenes, and adding in unnecessary characters. They seemed to have wanted to write a modern soap opera, but just have period clothing. This type of book is called a wallpaper historical romance, and doesn’t get a lot of respect in the industry.
  23. I’m struggling with what Shonda is trying to do here. I understand why, and I would love if we could apply contemporary morals and issues to this time period, but it doesn’t work for me. Daphne is outraged that Anthony is treating her like a child. She insists she is a woman who made an informed choice to have a sexual moment in a garden during a party. But this is the same girl who thinks babies are delivered by fairies, or some other foolishness. This is the girl who has already wondered off twice and been compromised by two separate men. Daphne is what Anthony thinks she is - a sheltered girl in her first season, naive in the ways of men, and completely ignorant about sex and what men will do to get it and then abandon you - as witnessed by Marina. And she may righteously claim she had rather be ruined than for someone to die, but that simply wasn’t true at the time. Daphne’s ruin would then ruin all of her younger sisters. Anthony would probably skate by unscathed, being a titled man, but his brother’s prospects would be considerably lower. Society would turn their back on the family. The ton was a vicious, jealous, and cruel group who relished punishing and ostracizing people.
  24. It would have been nice if the abusive father and the fallen woman hadn’t necessarily been POC.
  25. I don’t have a problem with the actresses’ looks, as much as book Daphne was pretty, but seen to eligible males as just a friend. That was the true reason she struck a deal with Simon. The actress is going a little over board, for me, with the Shy Di peaking up at men. She looks distractingly like Kristen Connolly, with a side of Anastasia Steele. I’m waiting for her to bite her lip. I do find it amusing that a self-administered orgasm has turned her into a confident femme fatale.
