I just can’t see Nilsa as Gus’s one that got away. I think he loved that Nilsa still had feelings for him, and he was anticipating flirting with her, making her seem deluded when she gets the impression they could be a couple, and hook up if he doesn’t find another convenient female. As they’re isolated this season, Nilsa was his only available female. Nilsa has clearly matured and moved on. He’s adjusting.

The Boulder presser took the first twenty minutes of the show. What was said that was “ghoulish”? I imagine it was something along the lines that if toddlers had had guns in the grocery store, the killer would have been stopped sooner. I don’t know what Real Housewives Meghan is watching, but it’s not the ones I am. There is nothing “feminist” about wearing a Cu*nty necklace, pawing at a stripper, having diarrhea on the floor and leaving it for “the help” to clean up, etc. If I were seeking shows that portray feminism, I’m not really going to be inspired through the lense of a gay man. Just like I am not going to portray the experiences of a WOC as a white woman. I’m guilty of watching, but there’s no doubt the shows are a dumpster fire, and Andy has made a fortune off of women behaving badly. It’s laughable that Andy was upset about Gretchen’s marriage failing. He was probably googling the ratings hourly.

Thanks for posting this. I need to digest it a little. I like to occasionally use gifs, and one of my favorites is Obama standing at the miked podium, doing the “seriously” gesture. My cousin identifies as Latina, and does do a light brown thumbs up. Unless I interpreted it wrong, the article said that using the shades is only wrong if you’re not a POC.

I like that Bill doesn’t blindly support Jen, a la Ken Todd. He’s honest with her and questions her bad behavior, yet remains supportive. I grew up the same, but I’m not sure if I’d call naturally large butts gross. When I was growing up, stretch marks and dimples cellulite was not desirable. So it confuses me when my young cousin struts around in front of me in her thong, praising her “Latina ass” (that she actually inherited from her 75% Polish mother - she’s only 25% South American), while her dimpled, stretch-marked, bouncing bottom does it thing. Same with a couple of women on this show. But then I’m a straight woman. 🤷‍♀️

Plastic surgeons often deal with facial injuries, burns, etc. I worked with one who was also a hand specialist, so he performed many non-cosmetic surgeries.

Yep. I live in a neighboring county and saw the press conference live. I was absolutely disgusted. Today, a house committee met for the first time to discuss anti-Asian discrimination. Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX), spoke of how all victims deserve justice, somehow brought it around to the BLM protests, and then invoked Texas’ history of lynching. Then talked of “Communist China” being “the bad guy”. How in the world can he twist this issue to again attack BLM, and paint a bigger target on the Asian community? As an aside, I just saw a clip of an 83 y/o Asian woman who took a plank to a white man who punched her in the face. He was the one on the EMS stretcher. Go Grandma!

I know many watch soaps for fluffy escapism, but I love the dark, tortured story lines. I’m kind of interested in a Cam clinical depression SL, and even a possible suicide attempt. I’m sure it’s been covered by soaps over the years, but not in my memory. The actor has the chops to do it, it would keep Elizabeth front and center, and I love seeing Laura being motherly to Liz. Plus, Cam’s life has been a constance of abandonment, he’s more likely to have these feelings.

Guess what Meghan, there are businesses that sell liquor so one can imbibe at home! I know! It’s amazing. I wonder is she’s been temporarily banned from the AZ homestead due to Covid. I’m sure she’s jonesing to kick up her heels, drink some Jack while smoking a cigar, and slaughter helpless creatures.

Yep. Never the Republicans fault, even the disgraced, twice impeached, one term president who lied and denied Covid, and secretly received the vaccine. It’s clearly Kamala and Fauci’s fault. 🙄 Has she ever acknowledged that blue states pay more into the system, and red states take more? Sounds like the hated welfare to me.

How does lettin’ God’s plan happen not = trying to get pregnant? Nilsa’s been pregnant before, so there was no reason to assume she was infertile. Biology happens, and God has little to do with it. Aimee slumped on the floor drunkenly saying how much she loves Jesus, apropos of nothing, had me cackling.

Why, WHY? Is this woman never made to retract, acknowledge, and apologize for her lies? It drives me to rage strokes. Who is still protecting this snowflake? My guess is she simply refuses, and takes the slap on the hand time out of a day or two.

I’m confused about Lexi’s accent. She specifically talked about being unfamiliar with American wild animals, as they don’t have them in England. Yet she talks like she’s been in Jersey for decades. Maybe she thinks her England days make her glamorous? Plus, most English people I know refer to their home as the UK, not England. Personally, I don’t see Jackie as being condescending or patronizing to her brother. I’m a nurse. I’ve seen how some people treat the intellectually challenged. Jackie has raised her children to be loving and respectful of their uncle. Jackie spoke to him like a man, not like a small child. She confided in him, and acknowledged he gave good advice with a positive attitude. She doesn’t talk down to or baby talk him. I see a natural, close and loving relationship.

It would be an insulting low blow to an ethnic group if Jackie has your experience, but I don’t think she does. Joe doesn’t talk as ignorantly as his sister, and neither does Dolores. I have friends who grew up in exclusively non-English speaking homes: Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Korean, Serbian, Egyptian. None of them mangle the English language like Teresa - even those who came to the US as older children, or never lived in an English speaking country.
