  1. In one of these polygamy shows, they alluded to the fact that yes, the women suffer, but that’s the point. They had to be strong and have faith and over come it. Sounds like the Mother Theresa BS where suffering is righteous.
  2. There are also chiropractors who provide school physicals, which enrages me. Take your kid to a real doctor! Preferably a pediatrician, you know, the child expert. I have cousins who had insurance and money, and yet all their kids’ school physicals were done at clinics. I’m convinced it’s because they were anti- vaccine . . . both fully vaccinated themselves, and in the states of Georgia and Florida, they were allowed to say it because of “religious reasons”. They are generic Christians who don’t even go to church. They were simply two college dropouts who thought they were smarter than the scientists.
  3. I’m not LDS, but have had friend who are. Unless they’re a convert, LDS seems rather obsessed with their lineage - closer to Joseph Smith, closer to God, I guess. Since marrying someone outside of LDS leads to exclusion - my friend’s father was not Mormon and he was not allowed to attend her wedding in the sacrosanct temple - I think there is a huge incentive to marry within their own religion. Plus, trying not to judge here, there are some unusual beliefs in Mormonism, and I couldn’t hitch my particular wagon to the LDS train.
  4. I struggle with my opinion of Tre’s mothering. I think she’s incredible with the nurturing part. She’s very physically affectionate - I remember a time they were all outside and Tre was holding toddler Audrianna. Gabriella was nearby and Tre reached down and cupped her face tenderly. But then I remember the Hilton kids who received plenty of love, with no discipline, but an obsession with material things. Tre is immature and willfully ignorant. Her children run rings around her intellectually from about the age of five - except perhaps Audriana. As the baby of the family, and experiencing the trauma of her mom “going away” for a year, Audriana seems younger than her age. Tre is also overly reliant on her children emotionally, particularly Gia, and when Gia is gone, that burden will fall on Gabriella and Milania. Tre always gets praise for supposedly sheltering Gabriella from the cameras, but to truly protect her from the intrusive cameras that make her uncomfortable, Tre could have chosen to leave the show. She chose the show.
  5. I think it was just their position, not anal itself. But who knows. I think it was around the time she and Jacqueline were talking about cock rings. It was a little cringe.
  6. I have no idea how sexual Tre is. What I remember, is her bragging that sexy times with Joe included her laying face down with her head hanging off the bed so her hair wasn’t rumpled. Sounds rather drab.
  7. Interestingly, neither Kody,Janelle, nor Caleb come from polygamous stock. Now how inbred LDS is, I’m not sure. I think that was Gabe. I agree about nodding along with Kody regarding Covid. Janelle is her typical wishy-washy useless, and her boys, minus Logan, are ignorantly dismissive of the danger of Covid. So irritating.
  8. I really think Joy’s slip up is age related. My mom is an advocate and strives to use pronouns properly. But, she’s also a senior who knew the name “Bruce Jenner” for decades. It just comes out. I still have to focus on proper pronouns when discussing CJ before her transition and now. It’s clear, to me a least, that Joy unintentionally misgendered. I *think* it’s a mistake that would not have occurred if it were a day in which Joy was not a host as well as the moderator.
  9. I was really disappointed with Ana’s words after the crazy mom clip, and I hate to say it, but she sounded no different than Meghan in that moment. They both blamed the CDC for the fact that states, cities, stores, etc. enforce masks and Covid regulations differently. Meghan’s a moron, but Ana knows full well the CDC can only recommend - they have no authority to enforce. And red states are more lax overall. And 🙄 that people need the “incentive” of immediately ending mask wearing after the vaccine. So we should endanger people, Ana, to coax the foolish into getting a dose in their arm?
  10. To be honest, CT is the last person I wanted to win. I don’t dislike him, but I am over him. Leroy’s last words made me cry. Kam teared me up with her words of wishing that someone like them would win. I’m hoping that yesterday’s verdict gave her hope. Nany did her best, and I won’t mind seeing her again. I’m sure we will see Amber again.
  11. If I remember correctly, Joe Darger is pretty strict on his wives’ diet and exercise. It’s no coincidence they are all thin and fit after delivering a litter of kids.
  12. I also think the wives may fear a domino effect. If Christine leaves, who’s to say another won’t? As little as they cared for Meri during the cat fishing, they sure didn’t want Meri to leave the family. They’re perfectly fine with Meri being ignored, lonely and alone in her large house, as long as the polygamy facade continues.
  13. I think Meri’s reaction is classic. She tried to free herself and look how much worse her life is now. She’s never going to try to leave again. Perhaps she doesn’t want Christine to suffer Kody absolutely cutting her out. Also, losing Christine could mean losing access to Christine’s kids. I know Meri is extra close to Ysabel, where Ysabel had her own room in Meri’s LV house, and also claimed a room in Meri’s failed AZ rental.
  14. And who is stopping her from endless drunken festivities? She was pregnant and/or breastfeeding for the majority of Covid!
  15. After the murder of Trayvon Martin, I remember Jonathan Capehart talking about the rules his mother raised him with. One of them was never to run outdoors, because people will assume he’s running from a crime. He broke my heart and it really pointed out how differently I was raised. How privileged I was.
  16. Unfortunately, there were three books and three movies. I think there is a difference, because Doms and subs really crave that power imbalance. At least from what I’ve read. They need that kink in their lives. 🤷‍♀️
  17. I’m rather vanilla myself, but I’ve read a lot on the topic when members of the BDSM community were outraged by how inaccurate the 50 Shades books were. From what I’ve learned, spouses who aren’t into the kink, often allow their husband/wife to do their thing in dungeons. Otherwise the marriage is a tragic mismatch. I myself am put off by the word “dungeon”, as well as the fact that Masters often seem to look like Bob. Lol.
  18. The episode occurred in December, and neither officer was suspended or punished in any way. They just fired the loud mouth cop this weekend, IMO, because Reddit posted a link to the city info so people could call and demand both cops be fired. They’ve been payed this entire time. The View didn’t show the part where loud mouth references the electric chair.
  19. Yep. I remember a friend of Andrea’s being outraged that he made Andrea live with a bunch of kids, for quite a few years, in a converted bus, yet he lived in a lovely home after Andrea’s incarceration. He was fine with Andrea, who he described as a “robot”, home schooling, home churching, and caring for her dying father. Andrea was supervised by Rusty’s mom, yet even though Andrea was found filling a bathtub with water and not able to explain why, he decided that Andrea needed more “responsibility” and instructed his mom to wait an hour after he left for work to come over. Andrea’s story broke my heart. She thought she was such a horrible mother, that she was damning her children to hell. She chose to kill them, ensuring their entrance to heaven, even though she would be damned to hell. In her sick, damaged mind, she was committing the ultimate sacrifice to ensure their eternal lives. The cruelest punishment was receiving proper mental health care, and realizing what she did.
  20. I’m sure it’s just a set up for a SL on their reality show stuff.
  21. Natasha is the one who spoke to the guests regarding meals. Natasha is the one who let Barrie equate “family style” with buffet. Once the chef did this, it isn’t the chief stew’s responsibility to explain the difference - plus, she might have come off as lying. Natasha inadvertently screwed herself. I’m not sure why Daisy should be held responsible.* *Not directed at you OP, but a previous poster.
  22. I noticed that she struggled to use her fork with those talons. I found her lips terrifying, but she seemed polite and thankful to the crew.
  23. It might have better than the revolving door of Nikolas’ girlfriends/wives, and being abandoned when Nik “died”. I don’t detest Carly with the fire of a thousand suns, like most, and I don’t think Joss is the monster many think. I guess that colors my opinion.
