  1. She specifically left Ressler in charge of inside-the-building security, including screening all new tenants.
  2. Are they more protective of Batman than Superman? I know that Supe's been on Supergirl.
  3. Since Gen made Chidi officially part of the experiment due to Bad Place interference, he counts.
  4. It's a whole rescue shelter. Except, it's more of black hole center then rescue. Animals come in and just die or disappear.
  5. You're forgetting Aram's mad hacking skillz. It's like one person being unable to open a jar, but the next person does easily. The bullets loosened the glass.
  6. Still. We never found out what happened to the dog. It's an even bigger mystery than who Red is and if he's actually Lizzie's father. Or mother, as some have posited. I can add that I watch in the hope that the show will hire a friend to once again be an extra. As for the crazy dream idea, I had a boss like that. He'd come in one day saying he had this great idea overnight and change how we operated. Only to come back two days later w/ a different idea that completely changed how we operated. So, I think you've hit the nail on the head. We need Dembe to tell the writers that they've gone off the rails. Unfortunately much like Red, they wouldn't listen to him.
  7. And now I'm thinking we need one of those "You Know You've Been Watching Too Much Of" threads.
  8. Given that the cast has said that the ending is bittersweet (I don't recall the exact word(s) used), I have a feeling that, like Moses, Eleanor will be able to lead humanity to The Good Place, but won't be able to go in or stay herself. This is based on this last episode where she admitted how much she loved torturing Chidi, even though she also felt bad about it. I think Eleanor might be put in charge of the Medium Place (or Purgatory) where she helps those who don't deserve to go to the Bad Place, but need to build up their resume of good deeds to make it into the Good Place.
  9. Me too. Imdb has it listed as having 10 episodes. I had the same reaction w/ both Brian J. Smith and Korean martial arts woman = Sun. Welcome back to my TV Michelle Forbes! One of my favorite actors. Hope we get to see a lot more of you.
  10. Speaking of tropes, how come the bad people always aim for the head of the hero(ine), which is the more difficult shot, when they're not wearing any body armor, but in the chest when they are? So, we get Kate getting shot in the chest and is fine b/c of the bat suit. And, what does the henchman do while Kate is looking down, standing still, and smiling that the suit is bulletproof? Nothing. Hey, henchdude, your intended target is just standing there. You know shooting them in the chest is no good; why don't you now shoot them in the head since they're not moving, so it's as easy a shot as the torso. Even if somehow the cowl is also bulletproof (and how much would that weigh - there must be a reason police are not outfitted w/ kevlar head gear and cowls to go along w/ the vests), it will at least stop her so you can get closer and shoot her in the uncovered mouth and chin. That's why you do a double-tap after shooting someone in the torso to make sure the job's done. Hitmen have been doing it since they were able to load more than one bullet at a time in a gun.
  11. Even if they were siblings, they could have been years apart in age. And, even if they were close in age, their kids (Bruce and Kate) could have been far apart. It's not unusual for some parents to have kids in their 20s, while others wait until their 30s or even 40s (and even beyond).
  12. It's the most fun I've seen her have since her early appearances on Lost!Girl. I'd go with the last option. Seems the most logical as it would explain both her behavior as well as why the bone fragments had Beth's DNA (assuming that's real).
  13. Shirt, by snapping his fingers he could erase their memories and reset the entire neighborhood.
  14. I thought Liz was there before Katarina. Wow, we've all been treating Lizzie like she's an idiot, but she somehow enticed Katarina to move in next door. Now, that's a great villain! This would explain how her asking questions is why Katarina and everyone else are in trouble. It was part of her master plan all along.
  15. I think it was b/c last week they convinced him he had to do good things. However, he wasn't doing them for the right reasons which was why he was supposed to take Chidi's philosophy class. And now my head hurts. I Kant stand it. I'm voting for Trevor. He's wearing the get-up b/c he hasn't fully healed from his spin(s) in the demon-sized vacuum tube. You might be right and I would be happy if this ends up being the case. However, we really didn't see much of how Chidi reacted to being in "The Good Place" prior to meeting Eleanor. It is possible that having made it there he no longer needed to be paralyzed by what decision to make. Once Eleanor revealed herself to him and begged him to help her and not tell Michael her secret, the stomach aches began in earnest. Much the way they did last night when he found out that Jianyu was Jason. Or, you know this. (I responded prior to reading this response.) Plus 32.76 points for the hat. You're well on your way to Good Place status. Assuming Eleanor, Michael and the rest are able to save humanity. Especially Eleanor. She admitted that she actually enjoyed torturing Chidi, even though she was upset and regretting it at the same time. While Jason is back to doing his old thing, he's at least doing it for a good reason - not to save himself or make himself happy, but to convince Chidi to hold the classes that will help prove Michael's hypothesis and ultimately save humanity. Tahani did fall back into numerous name-dropping, but she did so not to aggrandize herself, which is improvement. And, she figured out how to start getting along w/ John. But, Eleanor worries me. I can see her being left back in this ersatz Middle Place / Purgatory where she has to work sheperding the humans into doing enough good deeds for the right reasons to get into the real Good Place.
  16. Oh, yeah, I know. But, I'm old so the bitterness remains. And, hey, you youngun's, get off my lawn!
  17. Seriously. Compare those numbers to the ratings for Firefly and Sports Night (to take two "random" examples).* *Still bitter after all the years? Me? Not at all.
  18. Sophie probably married him to prove that her relationship w/ Kate was just experimentation in the Don't Ask / Don't Tell era. I have Spectrum and the pilot is available on demand.
  19. We'll know for sure when Kate begins working out with the salmon ladder. Which I would not complain about. What I'm wondering is how Bruce must have trained the bats to shit outside the cave. Otherwise, everything in there should be covered in guano after three years. I know that if I was Luke and Batman / Bruce left I wouldn't continue cleaning it for three years.
  20. Yep, the last time I had a wisdom tooth removed, the oral surgeon took out some medieval torture device to open my mouth wide enough for the pliers to remove the tooth.
  21. I always thought so. Even though we didn't see them having sex, it was so strongly implied that she had sex w/ young John. Which was just as, if not more important to Chiana's arc as it was to John's history.
  22. When Red was in the "hospital", I thought the IMF would have done a much better job of gas-lighting him. And was disappointed we didn't get the theme song.
  23. I don't know. It's just not as a good a name to show when throwing a molotov cocktail. Not that I have too much experience in that area. Given these writers, I'd be shocked if it wasn't deliberate. Besides what others have said, Chidi seemed to have no interest in talking or helping Simone. From what he had seen of her, she wasn't a nice person. Telling everyone they were just figments of her imagination and pushing people into the pool at the party. It took the "soulmate" thing to get Chidi interested in sitting down and talking to Simone. I love how nobody mentions it's there. Mindy did one time in the prior episode, but that's been it. It's like a big penis-shaped Chekov's gun. The Eleanor-Michael talk was great. KB and TD have off-the-charts chemistry.
  24. Currie Graham played Nolan's friend. He was not the actor named by AW in her complaint.
  25. There is a thread on "AoS and the MCU" that's currently located lower on the first page of the sub-forum thread listing. Not sure if that meets what you're looking for TVSpectator.
