  1. That was my thought as well. V always wants to show off with her kills. Count me in with those who thought the bus scene was going to be a dream. Really V, you think there's a distinct perfume to be created that smells like power?? It reminds me of a line from Better Off Ted where they created this wonder meat. Problem was that it tasted like despair. I was confused with the Rubik's Cube reveal. The tech guy starts giving Eve instructions on where to begin. It's a Rubik' cube. Was it a solved cube (I didn't notice). If it wasn't solved, then how do you know which of the sides is "top"?
  2. He did. Was declared legally insane and sentenced to time at Arkham. Which had need for a doctor. It's the circle of life in Gotham.
  3. My first thought was your Chidi Anogonye. Reading all the books in preparation for this three-hour lecture on why his parents shouldn't get divorced.
  4. It's because the Harvest succeeded and allowed the Master to rise that Colin wasn't needed. So that prophecy went *poof*. Not to mention that the actor looked like he was sixteen by this time. It's my favorite. You definitely have the gist of the scene. This was probably my favorite Willow-Oz scene. I liked Oz when he was with Buffy, Xander, or Cordelia, but not with Willow. He was too perfect with her. But this scene was excellent. The Ballet o' Death is awesome. Shockingly awesome. As was Cordy's "death" scene (sexiest scene in the entire series - a threesome!). [Although Joe Hellandback strongly disagrees with this viewpoint.] And Vamp!Willow playing w/ Puppy!Angel. So much to love in this episode.
  5. Well, Peanut Butter upstaged Charles at the medal ceremony and has since been promoted several times. I read an interview with one of the creators (I believe it was Dan Goor) that it was because they received such early notification of renewal that they decided they didn't need a cliffhanger. (I don't have a link to the article.) Otherwise, it probably would have ended w/ Amy and Mac-to-be in some sort of danger. I thought it was really sweet that they named the baby after Shirley Maclaine just to please Charles. It was also great that Rosa got a nickname while Charles didn't. An angry, sputtering Charles provides for a good time. I don't think I'll ever get the image of Terry 'N Holt dancing to Salt N' Peppa out of my head. And, I don't want to. If nothing else, it would have been her idea to turn Scully and Hitchcock's relaxation room into Amy's maternity suite.
  6. It was a green card marriage and Joe Buck knows it. I do give Joe Buck (always has to be his full name) credit for playing such a nasty version (I'm assuming) of himself.
  7. Red's had quite a bit of practice. As a result, he's trained himself to faint unconscious yet still make a soft landing. Wait a minute. Didn't Lizzie spend two years in a coma at some point? I thought that's when Agnes went from age 1 to age 5 in between seasons. And the dogs aged out of the show entirely.
  8. I would be so in for this. I thought it was hysterical when Konstantin got all huffy and slammed the car door after being told not to, so the driver/handler shouts 1* as her review of her "passenger."
  9. It would have been nice if we'd heard rumors of Saul having an asset in the Kremlin prior to the 10th episode of the last season. We didn't need to see the asset so I don't have a problem with her actually getting on screen until the penultimate episode, but we needed to at least have heard the rumors (unless that did come up in a prior season and I forgot about it). As for who the asset is, I find it hard to believe that someone who translates English into Russian would be involved in many high-level meetings where everyone speaks Russian. She'd sort of stick out if she sat in the room doing nothing or tried to make herself useful by translating Russian into Russian. It does seem like it's being set up for either Saul or Carrie to die in the finale. If his gambit works, Yevgeny will become the new head of the SVR.
  10. It went even farther than that. Red kills Kemp with his own type of gun. Quelle surprise. Not. I laughed when Kent told Cooper and Ressler that they are FBI agents and not lawyers. It used to be that most agents were either lawyers or accountants. It's expanded to other degrees, but still a decent number of agents are lawyers. If I was Cooper, I would have told Kemp that they couldn't arrest the mother b/c to prove assault, you have to show intent and that's a very high bar to reach. As the judge just told them, they can't bring a case unless they're pretty sure they can demonstrate all the elements of the crime are there (beyond a reasonable doubt). Mic drop. And walk away.
  11. Same went for last season. Since it's only been shown in the Spring on NBC, they've had to be creative in how they do their "Halloween" Heist episodes. Who knows about next season. The Good Place is over, but when the world will allow episodes to be filmed is anyone's guess.
  12. If Jim keeps turning baseball around, the other leagues will eventually hire him and he will have the new position - Commissioner of Major Sports.
  13. I could get behind that. I can see three options: return to the force (probably mid-season), become Dex's partner; join dad's law firm as chief investigator which would still enable Myles to help out Dex. When the attorney meets client in jail, recording devices are turned off (or at least are supposed to be). Actually, I've seen someone who was under arrest and handcuffed to a hospital bed. Don't you mean Character Actress Margo Martindale (tm Bojack Horseman)? Grey's dad was taking half brother to a little league tournament in Seattle (?) which was how they were getting him up to Stumptown in the first place. Grey asked dad how the kid did. I enjoyed the finale and overall liked the season. What bothered me about this episode that hasn't already been mentioned is that after the Sargeant was killed, Dex and Myles have this conversation. Meanwhile, Grey is lying somewhere near the house bleeding from a gunshot wound. Hey Dex, how about telling Myles to call for an ambulance and taking him to Grey. You can talk all you want after he is taken away by the EMTs.
  14. Per Andre Braugher's twitter feed: Say “Special Tactical Operations and Auxiliary Strategic Response Citywide Emergency Investigative Unit for Emergency Operations” five times fast.
  15. Actually, there was one time that a VP challenged an incumbent president. Coincidentally, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were in different parties. VP Jefferson defeats Pres John Adams in 1800
  16. She was the one who exposed the VP's self-dealing w/ her audit. This allowed Carrie to blackmail him into agreeing to release the Taliban prisoners. Which was needed before Haqqani would agree to peace.
  17. One from each season: 1. Closing credits in The Puppet Show. 2. Xander's perp walk in B,B&B. 3. The ballet o'death in The Wish. 4. Opening credits to Superstar (they should have stopped the episode right there - the rest is a one-note joke and had so many other problems too numerous to mention). 5. Fight scene on the camper in Spiral. 6. Buffy the sales girl in Spiral. 7. Aud and Olaf's scene in Swedish in Selfless.
  18. It wasn't just the phone. He also put under the desk and I believe in a light or lampshade. He then used a device that detects such bugs. Presumably the device beeps when there is some electrical activity and not simply beep when it runs over a piece of plastic that's otherwise completely inert. And, since he was going to destroy them anyway, he might as well use real recording devices. If the Mayor knows what an electronic bug looks like (and, given his corrupt behavior, that is not entirely unlikely) it's best for Ray to use actual recording devices rather than risk the Mayor calling his bluff.
  19. I didn't recognize him. Thanks for the info. I first saw him on the late, lamented Keen Eddie where he played Mark Valley's partner.
  20. My guess is the detective's captain (or is he a lieutenant?). When Ray bugged the Judge's office, I thought back to the discussion in a prior thread regarding whether Smitty could wear a wire against Ray even though the police didn't have a warrant. I argued that under NY law, he could b/c NY is a one-party state. Ray, on the other hand, was bugging an office where, if he wasn't one of the participants, it would be a violation of NY law. That's not even taking into account that he broke into the judge's chambers (a felony) and was doing so as an agent of the police. Any information obtained would be thrown out. Fortunately, Ray just used it to convince the judge to make a deal w/ the police. It gave me the feels watching Mick commiserate w/ Smitty. No, wait, that was acid reflux. Enjoyed Alan Alda meeting Terry. It's a shame he can't continue to do so w/o violating his oath as Ray's doctor. He'd risk revealing information that he could only have gotten from his sessions w/ Ray. Anyone else think that Ray's girlfriend is going to turn on him, or even was working for her father the whole time?
  21. "Joanie loves Tchotchkes." Worth it just for that pun. So, the plan is to develop purgatory. Or deathly reincarnation.
  22. They didn't need a court order b/c Smitty "volunteered" to wear a wire. (He agreed b/c he thought it was the only way he could hope to stay out of jail.) If they wanted to bug Ray's office, then they would have needed a court order. I don't know for sure whether the superior would need to sign off on a warrant request before the detective would go to a judge.
  23. Someone on Twitter posted a picto-timeline. My problems were how the specific dates were chosen and also that the post-coital convo b/w Geralt and Yenn made it seem as if they'd seen each other b/w their first time and the dragon quest. Witcher Timelines
  24. This has been the law in NY since at least 1988.
