  1. This is disappointing because of exactly that. Grace kind of avoids any culpability in her pride. I do like that they finally have Jackie on a case and actually is good at it. And he sees right through Grace. That interrogation scene was short but really good. Grace thought she was hot shit making demands until Jackie laid it right down. He's remarkably well read too. I like them both, and it was a misstep to keep them apart so long this season. I'd say Decourcy is more mopey than anything. Some of it was his fault for screwing up the trial, but Sib wasn't helping either. Fuckmyass not your mother! Nooooo. No no no. So I guess Cathy just took over Jimmy's spot and customers. That certainly makes sense, but I think they could have tipped us off earlier. Miscarriages are kind of a derivative plot for me. I'm not going to call too much bs on Decourcy being upset. Once she got pregnant, I do think he was happy and invested. Beating up the carriage was just dumb.
  2. I liked random Bill Walton. I was dying at the people who were super high coming to get Jeff's grilled cheese. tbh, selling grilled cheese at Phish concerts is a great idea.
  3. Cathy mentioned it to the daughter at the end of the last episode, but it didn't register with me until I came here. We talked about it a bit in E6.
  4. I'm behind, but I don't mind fictional accounts of history 'behind the scenes'. The broad strokes are factual; FDR was balancing isolationism against knowing he'd have to enter the war at some point. I don't know much about the northern European countries during the war, and Martha and the Prince are very likeable. That's all right for me.
  5. Having all the duels with Dooku also made the final one much more of a payoff.
  6. That topic was brought up when Peter and Lois moved into the apartment complex. They were 1.5 times older than me when the show started and now I'm 1.1 older than them.
  7. I would have installed a proper stove/sink in the van and just done away with the toilet and sleeping arrangements. That van isn't going anywhere strenuous that you need the toilet, and extra space. If you really want to camp, they can pack tents and sleeping bags for outside. Dig a latrine.
  8. They actually did get it over on Yap, but Gene copped to it in the end.
  9. Technically, Peter was 42 in season 1. I take the point though.
  10. My skepticism is rooted in Beef not having a plan or an emergency kit for that. I can buy the whiteout, but this couldn't have been the first time it happened. I liked that Honeybee was smart enough able to count the number of steps back. No, but you have to have a consistent show universe.
  11. Oh, it's way better hands down. Also television afforded the opportunity to give him a Padawan, which also helped with characterization.
  12. I didn't even see the toilet. The whole thing struck me as a lot of work for not much return. If it was a day trip van, I could see it would have a lot more value. You don't need the stove or loo.
  13. Marge had really gray hair, so I assumed Lisa was over 35.
  14. That was a good monologue. I liked Brian loading up on all the cat things. My dog flipped when all the cat sounds came on the TV and went outside to investigate.
  15. Can she do a cutaway? My mouse died. Brilliant. I totally wasn't expecting the cat to talk! And the librarian!
  16. Bob isn't dumb, so I have to call some bs on him not going with Teddy's advice. He didn't even take that long. I do like when there's a plot of kids v adults, and Yap being ticked about the magazine and threatening the kids over bedtime. Rabbits should be at the ear doctor or the fertility clinic OKAAAY TALKING LOUD IS FUN
  17. I'm going to call a little bs on Beef taking more than the recommended medicine dose. And he wouldn't have had an emergency system for snow? Come on. Also, no way you're going out there without a snow mask. This is a huge buy in that they got lost between the houses. I didn't know Wolf's drink had booze until he said. I was hoping this would have been a little more about Wolf and Honeybee wanting to have a little more of their own life. I mean, Beef was working out out with the snowflakes. I liked that Denny had a New Zealand accent. And call back to Honeybee's brother being Sasquatch. I did like Honeybee ended up being the most resourceful.
  18. I loved all the different cards. And Todd and Rod with old voices. I do take the point of Marge being insufferable. In this case, though, no. I just don't buy Lisa not going to college. Strictly just on the means of getting away from the family.
  19. I honestly don't know what is going on with the Cathy plot since it's so segregated from the rest of the show except where she's getting supply. However, when she was hiding the smack in the bathroom and the daughter startled her, the daughter asked, 'when are we seeing dad again', and she said 'we're not.' But again, I'm not sure how she's selling in the first place. They implied she was selling it in the prison, but if Frankie is gone, who's the hook up? They're not showing her selling on the street or what.
  20. To be fair, the picture was so weird, you kind of had to say something. The joke is just - 'what the hell is this?' It sounded worse than it was because the congresswoman was like, 'ohhhh, the poor Carters!' Which was kind of the joke.
  21. Didn't the guy that founded Canada end any slavery there? It has to be around that time almost. They could get slaves into Canada. If they're going to do the revolution, it would be better to take a different angle than usually.
  22. I immediately thought of that. Use of the French revolution was too specific not too.
  23. It's really not twitter. Of course, you can use anything to ill ends. It's very easy to block and/or report people and move on. In fact, I've used twitter to network with a lot of success. It's certainly good, and I can't believe I'm saying this, for branding, using it properly.
