  1. PBS News was just reporting FIFA saying players might not be able to play in World Cup matches.
  2. What's up with Teddy? He had a date last week and was correct in his advice to Bob this week.
  3. I thought UEFA said they wouldn't be eligible for Champions League.
  4. I mean, it's not a good look for the Attorney's office. What's puzzling is that the US Attorney is seemingly treating the Asst like a lost little lamb. The fact that she overdosed isn't in dispute, so I'd think she would be suspended while the investigate the incident. It doesn't track that the US Attorney is already assigning guilt to Jackie. Even as viewers, we opened with them snorting up in the car. I don't recall if it was established who actually got the drugs. Which may be why she was silent when the Attorney asked about Jackie in not wanting to implicate herself. This is kind of a sloppy plot thread that I just don't think is necessary given the US Attorney told Jackie to shape up or forced retirement.
  5. No, they aren't. Though, I do consider Bacon and Hodge the leads of the show. I'm just not interested in Siobhan unless she's in her own plot, but I think both hers and Jenny's should be a minimal part of the overall narrative. I think splitting them wasn't a strong narrative choice for S2. I would have gone with uneasy truce. I take the point that Decourcy kind of was full of himself, and despite Jackie being a sleaze, he was right about putting Jimmy on the stand with the blanket immunity. So it was self-inflicted on Decourcy's part, and kind of tragic. And Jackie did screw up the bust. I would have liked a time jump (small) with a more Boston-weary Decourcy. With him needing to get out of the doghouse and Jackie needing to placate the new US Attorney, there's plenty of material there. I don't think they would have needed the drug overdose for the Asst. plot. Again, she was snorting up the cocaine like a Hoover. Jackie wasn't forcing it on her. I was assuming he's kind of in the penalty box for court because of screwing up last season, so he's been relegated to a more investigative role.
  6. I didn't figure they were parodying Morrissey until I came here, though I do know of the artist. I thought it was general, emo 80s English rocker. Though I think there was a little more of the latter than the former. Quilloughby is a great name though. I don't know. The 'too cool for school' always came across rather strongly for me. That doesn't mean the lyrics weren't insightful. Morrissey irl needs to understand what sardonic means and take in the whole context of his era. And hey, if you're made about being made out to be a git on a cartoon, then maybe don't be a git. Or grasp that they're being bombastic about the parody and have a laugh at how pretentious vegetarians can be. I don't actually think he threw sandwiches at people.
  7. I didn't know it was in Denver either. I liked that the show sucked the entire family in though. How old is Wolf supposed to be? Moon is 10, Ham and Judy are 16 ish, but Wolf strikes me as in his 30s.
  8. The finger dancing is an actual thing though.
  9. It was Stranger Things. The sight gag was that the monster ate the kids and took their bikes.
  10. To be fair, they were related. iirc Roger said as much. It was Roger taking a swing at the husband that started everything. I think the husband was going to let the hug slide.
  11. I didn't realize that Peter and Lois were Gen X because I'm am too. They kind of aren't because when the show started, I was about 18 years younger, now I'm about 7 years older than them. Techically, they were boomers at the start. The Richard Marx gag was worth it. I take it back. That was a loooooong walk for the knee joke. I can't remember when Chris and Meg interacted directly.
  12. I have to go with Teddy, call the cops. Don't say anything.
  13. I liked that the Dynasty plot went into Wolf and Beef.
  14. The look for Morrissey Lisa was really well done.
  15. Sternly? He barely let it get out of the boy's mouth. Like, noooo. We're not doing that. At. All.
  16. I defy anyone here to not attend a unicorn party.
  17. I was like, why the hell are they landing a chopper?! Did they say how the chateau ever fell in to disrepair, or if there's any descentants around?
  18. I was complaining about Roger's lack of agency all season.
  19. I'm in science. I never end up in bed with anyone! (Seriously, it's kind of frowned upon though.) South Park did an hilarious game on the 'scientist' trope in the one where Carman was pretending to be a robot.
  20. I don't think she was planning on paying him back. I would have liked a little more of her process going up to making the decision on offing Jimmy. The tricky point I think we're looking at is that she asked for a *second* brick. So it seems to imply she got rid of that first one quickly, according to Jimmy's reaction.
  21. Cherry blossoms is probably too dainty.
